it amazes me that people assume and speculate that the voices in the trailers have anything to do whatsoever with in game characterization.. i’m actually a bit surprised they don’t just get a random person to do it.. i was glad to hear that voice in more
trailers though

is it possible that scarlet is going to disrupt the leylines {it’s said she’s searching for something non-physical} to forestall mordremoth’s awakening? but in doing so, opens the depths of tyria and an onslaught of destroyers.. the in game map says {surface of tyria}
anyway, we might get new udnderground maps, or be able to play as a scarlet faction? having the upcoming battle as a competition for the high throne of {what’s left} of tyria..

actually if you’ve been on this game for 3 months you’d know they gave out exclusive items to gem shop purchases that involved real world money only.. which svck’d btw
but they know exactly which transactions are monetary..
i think they should link the hero panel to a non-black lion donation interface.. any donation more than a dollar awards achievement points.. doing this for other in game items just overcomplicates things.. they could choose 12 different charities and have a “charity of the month” much like they have a new achievements panel every so often.. hell, i’d pay a dollar to “whatever” charity each month for little or no reward if the interface was user friendly enough..
so, imagine 1 lousy dollar from almost every player going to MS in march..
and another dollar from almost every player going to breast cancer, or cancer in general, in april.. along with self chosen non-achievement related donations throughout the year

i don’t spend much real money in the gem store to be quite honest.. but i wouldn’t hesitate to donate 12 or so dollars a year to the ?taimi foundation

wow, just wow.. gw2 community, always seems to amaze me.. with their umm, kind outlook on trivial.. oops, i mean imperative things
1) this feedback thread was started by a player, not from Anet which should have been a lot of people’s first clue
2)it’d be a waste to put something like This in game, it’s just something for bored people to click on and share artistic media on facebook

but now i just feel sad that gw2 hasn’t been building a well in depth enough storyline that there are theories like this.. i’m not saying it’s a bad story, or that it even lacks interactive elements.. just that a lot of people probably feel disconnected from it at this point

sigh, why does someone always mention “the cost of voice-acting”
like it’s some un-written rule on the internet that you must mention voice performers paychecks or something.. and shouldn’t a mmo of gw2 caliber be able to scrape up some extra “resources” that is to say, talented people willing to contribute for nominal fees?

anyway, there’s quests in the open world that utilize “encourage this npc”
maybe it’s time they build an /encourage emote

usually non-ambient npc dialogues are recorded in the log ^
also, it’s ‘scenes’ like this that make the game awesome.. it’s a bonus when you run upto a character and get a ‘talk’ instead of a ‘greet’ as long as such things remain simple to navigate.. i remember in “moment’s peace” logan kind of just walks off.. i was like q_q come back, i must read you..

anyway, thanks much for posting this.. i’m surprised arenanet doesn’t have someone working for them who has direct access to certain materials and free time to catalogue/record them so they can be released in an official/unofficial capacity.. again, i appreciate just being able to read that though

although it’s a ‘krait’ place of power, and the location is overrun with risen.. i found the wording interesting.. Primal force, heart of the Planet..

scarlet’s actions are so drawn out and convoluted that expecting even a twisted benevolence is quite hard to imagine when the volume of atrocities and inefficiency of such a scheme are fully considered..    then again

i have no problems with them bringing back liadri
or even bringing it back nerfed.. i’ve lost countless gold on things that were made more easily available, i’ve missed out on certain items because they were implemented through some inane bargain, but i certainly don’t think non-exclisivity “cheapens” an item..

my main is a female norn and the first time i heard the voice i was pretty much “are you kidding me?”    it’s not entirely horrible and i’ve gotten used to it after awhile

what concerns me is..
convoluted good scarlet – no evidence she sought help from anyone or made any attempt to join forces with the free peoples of tyria
evil scarlet – couldn’t care less about the pact or trahearne

i can only assume when zhaitan fell that a large amount of magic was released back into tyria and corrupted creatures much like the dragons themselves absorb ambient energies.. therefore tequatl may have been temporarily strengthened in the process.. regardless, i don’t know how long the risen will thrive without the influence of their master..

some of the gem shop gathering tools are too animated.. could you make a qol set with just the regular tools.. also,
maybe make a set with a self-pulsing mechanical theme, where the tool does the work and not the character.. like gathering under water, except with a tool..
something similar to a plasma cutter + goggles would be a bonus
it could glow a different color for each type of node

living story tells me arenanet has some very talented people who can accomplish a lot of things in a certain time frame and some people there care about the game.. from the majority of gw2 releases though, it seems the previously mentioned notion is overshadowed by a certain lot that care more about internal meetings than they ever will the players
