1. Edge of the mists. I could live with the confusing paths if it wasn’t a floating death trap.
2. Brisbane wild lands – boring and a pain to navigate for completion.
3. Snowden drifts – boring.
4. Kessix hills – boring.
5. All of ascalon – boring.
I don’t mind places like tangled depths and draconis mons. I just hate the boring vanilla maps that take forever to complete. Leonard pass takes forever but I don’t mind it as much because it has a lot of beautiful scenery.
To talk about the endless interrupts and cc this season.
So not only do we have guardians, pulling, knocking back with bow, knocking down with traps, necros freezing and fearing, thieves knocking down and stunning, but now revs staff five’ing every .5 a second and knocking back with Glint?
I just got out of a match where I was pretty much laying on my ass the entire time.
Why is there still no cap on this crap?
5 matches in and I’m wishing I had permanent stability just to get 1 kill.
With the coming update to the reward system in WvW, could we possibly get some more scribing recipes for wvw themed decorations?
Would be nice to have some more architectural assets, and tree variations to craft.
Possibly even a craftable dune roller that people can use in the guild hall?
Any ideas from others on what would be a good addition as a decoration?
I definitely lean towards walls/floors/buildings and more tree types.
Some of the ascalonian ruins and such would be nice. And a lot of the desert borderlands assets would be a great addition.
Not holding my breath, but tossing it out there.
My bet is on a focus.
Please, Yb did way worse than that while I was playing. Half the time there’s 7 people spawn camping while we’re outnumbered and 50 people going around taking everything we have. Just last night there were about 10 camping the entrance portal while the others were on keep lord. This shouldn’t be a complaint about how dab took adavantage of finally having a numbers upper hand but how there shouldn’t be two totally different times when teams dominate the map.
Just a short thread asking for a craftable primordial orchid for the guild hall. It looks a lot better than the other nodes and would be a great decoration for the guild halls.
As someone that plays daredevil, though poorly, I can say that we’re kind of a one-trick class. I mean, a good daredevil/thief is usually going to win. You have some that are just insanely good at being able to constantly stay stealthed somehow or keep the opponent guessing as to where they are, some that miraculously regen health in a matter of seconds while they’re stealthed, and some that just hit like trucks and one shot you before you even get a reaction time.
I’ve found the hardest thing for me to fight is heavy condi classes, the meta infinite phantasm clone Mesmer that you can’t freaking track down because there’s so many clones you just give up and run somewhere else. (Although staff daredevil 2 whirl kills a lot of the clones before they can shatter which makes it easier.)
Warriors, because they’ll usually just regen all of their health before you’re able to kill them and you can’t do too much damage with them being heavy armor class.
Better thieves/daredevils and that’s usually because they’re better at maintaining stealth or timing when I use mine so they get the drop on me. But those are usually the most fun fights too.
Rangers. Rangers are the absolute worst. Depending on their build, stupid constant roots and pew pew pew pew from 50000000000 yards away.
Scrappers – the reveal and tankiness makes them kind of pointless to fight.
The easiest classes I have to fight them on is usually my burn dragonhunter because I can block them and watch my burns kill them before they even lay a hit on me. Necro, because condi and two healthbars.
I think even though there isn’t enough balance done in this game, the one good thing about the pvp aspect is that it really just boils down to player skill in most cases. Some classes are pretty broken like warrior and in a lot of cases necro, but if you find yourself not able to do well at a particular class, try a different build and playstyle/weapon set. That’s the best thing about this game is that some are significantly ineffective in pve but the wvw aspect opens up so many possibilities for different builds and ways to fight other players or counter them.
Anyway, rambling.
I would say to beat a thief, just roll a burn guardian with carrion stats and scepter/focus and sword/torch. It got me to gold in pvp which isn’t the greatest feet, but you pretty much have to press like 3 buttons and the other person is already dead from burn damage. lol It’s less effective in wvw because everyone runs condi cleanse and you only have that one condition, thieves don’t really have much burn condi removal.
A really good thief is going to beat any class/build, but the same can be said about all the others for the most part.
I had what I assume was a power/shatter mes kill me in like 2 seconds the other day, if that. I’m not even sure of the build because they were stealthed and I was dead before I even had time to react. Having played that build, I have no idea how they did so much freakin’ damage to me so fast.
As far as I know it’s just the Mists thing, plus the fact that Rhytlock’s bandana has the same symbol of Deimos? who is a demon and subject of Abaddon, who has a feud with Balthazar?
lol
But the fact that he went into the mists being able to see, and came out blinded, and doesn’t seem to want to talk about it or his time in the mists is rather suspicious.
Partially wondering if the reason Rhytlock was called back to the Black Citadel is because they know something about his time in the Mists and how he got back, or potentially Balthazar. Doubtful, but I can see why they wouldn’t take matters lightly if they knew he was responsible for a god coming back to Tyria.
I’m hoping they’ll explain in the next episode, but this next episode still has so many things to tie up from Braham, to Rhytlock, to Balthazar, and whatever else.
I partially wonder, though unlikely for his character, if he made a deal with Balthazar to get his sword back and his brand new special abilities in hopes of ridding the ghosts, and Balthazar just wanted a way back into Tyria. Perhaps all of the gods imbued Rhytlock with the revenant abilities. Maybe Balthazar was the only one that secretly bad intentions.
Technically Omaad made the machine. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Eternal_Alchemy
It’s too abstract for me to really understand it either, but essentially what she did was use Omaad’s machine and its access to the eternal alchemy to essentially combine elements of the two elder dragons to oppose their forces. I’m assuming she did this with the samples we get of Jormag and Primordus? So it’s kind of like any other alchemy, only somehow doing it with this machine caused them to interact from the source of the samples.. the elder dragons and their magic?
The whole thing is a little vague but I think it’s just one of the many larger deeper plots they have left open to expand upon in the future if they choose to.
I have a feeling he will kill Jormag but Kralk will eat all the magic, thus putting us in the crystal desert direction.
Kind of wondering if the most recent twist is going to tie more into future raids than living story. Especially with all of the demons in the most recent raid wing. But who knows.
It’s anyone’s guess at this point.
Would it be beneficial to have match-ups based on determining when certain servers are most active during the day?
I’ve noticed that it seems like each side seems to dominate during certain times of the day, but of course then it’s never even for the other two sides.
The one I’m on apparently is most active during the morning, which I don’t play during, but at night it seems to be ruled by one or two of the other sides.
Can there not be a system in place to pair people up against the most active times? That way it isn’t 10 people trying to fend off 40 with no help in any of the other maps because people have already logged off?
How will it ever seem balanced if each side is logging in at completely different times? Doesn’t really make it much of a match-up then either, and there isn’t really much to do at that point other than to run around recapturing the same base 10 times in a row.
If this were a shapeshift spec I think I’d finally take some actual interest in ranger.
Could see it being mace too though. The mace would look like a blacksmithing hammer. lol
I would almost prefer an arcane attunement that grants torment/confusion and quickness.
But on the plus side, if it’s true I’ll finally have a reason to use this: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Elemental_Sword
So just to entertain the idea of certain known characters really being gods, who would we speculate is who?
It would be funny if the Avatar of the Pale Tree was Melandru, or even Caithe as she’s always been secretive and seemed to take high interest in the egg.
Anise/Jennah = Lyssa. I can buy that.
But I wonder who would be Grenth in this scenario?
And who is a good match for Dwayna?
Somebody was speculating Master of Whispers as Grenth, but feel like Kormir could be a decent match for that. Or for that matter Kormir could be Mr. E.
It would definitely be a twist if all of them were disguised this entire time.
So, knowing what you know now, what would be your personal theory on the next episode. Ranging from plot points to map location.
One of the leaks said the 6th episode would start us out closer to the Crystal Desert, which would make sense if the episode revisits Rhytlock.
I was thinking however, the next episode should most likely include something with catching up with Braham.
What if, while Taimi’s machine is putting Primordus and Jormag to sleep, Braham is already on his way up to Jormag and manages to use the scroll and bow to kill Jormag while he’s asleep/weakened?
Now that Balthazar is no longer there to absorb the energy, it releases, and the released magic finds its way to Kralk which sets off events for the expansion?
Of course they could resolve the issue with Braham using a few line interaction in Holbrook or something, and it seems they’re further segregating Dragon’s Watch by having not only Braham mad at everyone apparently, but now Marjory mad at Kashmere, as well as Rhytlock temporarily elsewhere. Will whatever happens in this next episode be a catalyst that brings the group back together? Or is that on hold for a future season?
Anyway, just throwing it out there.
Unless Balthazar is somehow tied in with Rhytlock’s time in the mists, I don’t think we’ll be delving too much into that story until the next season/expansion. But there are still quite a few unresolved points that I imagine will be resolved in the next episode.
For it being the final and “ultimate,” I’m expecting something pretty major to happen. As well as potentially a trailer for the expansion or a teaser or something. It’s definitely hard to predict if this episode is any indication.
Public Service Announcement, Oakheart Essence
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

The guild decoration does in fact work with the mastery in the guild hall. I’ve only managed to grind up enough unbound magic for 1 at the moment given the 5k cost, but it will be well worth it when I get a few more in the hall.
Might be my favorite thing from this entire patch. Thank you for adding something that not only has practical use for us decorators, but also keeps with the theme for something like the Guilded Hollow where grappling from vine to the vine all the way to the top gives something more interesting to do than jump up SAB decorations.
Also significantly frees up decorations.
Now if we can just beg and plead for a chest or something else to incentivize our guild mates to partake in our madness!
Agree with everyone about the aesthetics of the map. I was concerned it would be another Ember Bay, all dark and gloomy.
It is hard to navigate but will become much easier in time. I think for the future, maps like this are probably not the best ones to incorporate a big meta in. They should be saved for the Lake Doric/Ember Bay/Bitterfrost maps with little verticality that everyone can get to easily. Granted Bitterfrost has a meta, but it’s more of just a multi-champ train than one large champ
As far as the story goes, it was very fast-paced. Too fast-paced, with the exception of the stalling of the story to grind spiders and then proceed to talk to the druids. I feel like that whole part of the story seemed rather random anyway though. Perhaps that will play a larger role in the plot moving forward.
It’s rather hard to tell what the plot is going forward though, and that’s part of the problem with the Lazarus reveal. There aren’t any clues leading up to it, and frankly I’m not quite sure how people on the forums or someone like Woodenpotatoes would have reached that conclusion. Sure, a human god, maybe, but the particular one they chose? How did they pinpoint it to that? I must have missed some serious hints in the story other than the repetitive fire puns in the teaser of this episode.
All in all, I think despite the lack of build-up for the real identity of Lazarus and even the anti-climactic conclusion to the current Primordus and Jormag story, I would have been happy if there had been other areas of this patch to explore. It sounds entitled, I’m sure, but I was kind of expecting a fractal, some balance changes/wvw adjustments to go along with the patch. Not just, 2 instances and a story that takes about an hour to complete, and a new map.
Not trying to be too critical, but for it being at the end of the 2-3 month timeframe and with the post about wanting to get things just right because of how important the episode was, it still seemed pretty rushed in areas that may have done more harm than good.
All of that being said, it is a beautiful map though. I guess I might get more enjoyment out of all of this if I were a raider and sought after the legendary armor.
The new map is definitely interesting. Will take awhile to grow on me and learn how to get around but at least is visually appealing.
The story seemed incredibly short. If it weren’t for the spider grinding and trying to figure out how to get to the 5 different druid locations, it would have been over in about an hour.
The big reveal seems completely random and was one of the last things I would have expected. It has good potential for the future, but I don’t feel like this episode should have ended on JUST that.
Still feels like there are a lot of loose ends, and if the next episode is over as quick as this one it won’t go into much detail about anything that’s still left unanswered.
That begin said, I think my biggest gripe is that it’s just the seemingly quick episode, and the new map however great it is. I was kind of expecting fractal changes or something in the patch notes other than a paragraph recap of the story, a few sentences about very minor changes, and then a 2nd paragraph about gem store items.
This episode seems like it would be the perfect time to add a new fractal, whether god-centric or furthering us towards figuring out who Arkk is and how the simulation Taimi shows looks oddly similar to the Harbinger.
On a non-commentary note, does anyone know what the Oakheart essence guild decoration does? I was about to farm for it and was wondering exactly what it was. A grapple for the guild hall or just a glowing orb?
Interesting idea, but I’d rather they just make it so you didn’t have to confirm every time you want to salvage one of the currencies. One of the reasons people prefer to farm Bitterfrost is because the berries are consumable. I don’t know they went away from that model other than the theme of salvaging a piece of ore versus just eating a berry.
At the very least add a tab below salvage all uncommon/masterwork/rare to give the option to salvage these currencies.
Or a mystic forge recipes for these currencies to combine them into a larger piece of said currency and salvage/consume it.
I was honestly wondering at one point if they were going to make some special item with the mystic forge in which you could combine these currencies, but I don’t think that has ever been the plan.
The same reason there are security clearances in the government. They may all have the same goal, and they may all be “allies” but that doesn’t mean they feel that that particular person without clearance is privy to certain information.
And when you think about it, if it were Livia with this theory… she’s lived for over a hundred years. How many heroes and alliances has she had in that time? She’s lived under a secret identity this entire time. How long have we known her as Anise? Whether we’ve been responsible for the fall of elder dragons or not, that doesn’t guarantee that we’re promised her trust. From a character development standpoint, it gives the character more depth than to just assume that because we’re both #teamKryta she’s going to hand us her diary or unveil a carefully crafted illusion when if her purpose was to put on the persona of a mursaat to fragment the white mantle, the white mantle isn’t actually dealt with yet.
Whether the pact commander is trusted or not, if your plan is to portray a long-dead/missing Mursaat, while the commander would obviously be able to keep the secret, it’s going to be a lot more beneficial for the commander to not know until either confronted with no other option but to reveal themselves, or they feel the task has been handled and there is no risk. If the commander speaks among the pact, even trusted members of Dragon’s Watch, and they all believe that Lazarus is truly reborn, those rumors will get back to the spies of the white mantle within Divinity’s Reach and everywhere else further strengthening the disguise.
If the pact commander knows the disguise is false, and even one of these spies hears THAT rumor, then the plan is automatically botched.
That is my point.
I’m not saying that it’s likely that any of this is the case, but you’re acting like it’s completely unreasonable that the person in the disguise would not reveal themselves to the pact commander just because they’re alone in a room when the potential job isn’t even finished yet.
As far as Rata Novus being on fire or whatever you mentioned in one of your posts, who is to say that Primordus minions aren’t wreaking havoc in the labs and that’s who they’re referring to when they say, “He’s trapped us here.”
You mention Lazarus looks menacing, but all we see is a split second of Lazarus looking down, him slightly balling up his fist for a second, and him moving towards someone with his mask on that doesn’t even have a facial expression. So how is someone menacing when we can’t even see a facial expression?
I’m just not taking everything in this trailer at face value. Sure, it may be as simple as he is evil and he is either the real Lazarus or someone with equally bad intentions, but the trailer doesn’t actually prove any of this. Just like in movie trailers where certain clips come before others to convey something to the viewer only to surprise them when they watch the actual movie and realize they were being led to a particular assumption the entire time.
Also, does it ever say how Lazarus is able to bypass the Exalted security to get into Aurene’s chamber? I guess that’s kind of irrelevant given that primordus minions got in though.
Not sure why Lazarus wouldn’t be able to teleport if Mursaat are able to phase themselves in and out. Seems like teleporting within the same realm would be cake at that point.
Still don’t think Lazarus is really trying to get back to Ember Bay though. He seems like he’s going for whatever machine that is, probably Omaad’s, in that screenshot. What he plans to do with, I have no clue. But whoever this is, if not an ally, is clearly out for power. And I would expect a machine that allows you to view or potentially alter things within the eternal alchemy to be a key to obtaining even more power.
It’s obvious that whatever I say, you’re hell bent on disagreeing, as you do in pretty much every forum that isn’t yours.
So, sure. Whatever your theory is, is correct. I have no idea what your theory is, but it’s absolutely 100% correct and you know everything.
Done.
Countess Anise. Member of the Mesmer Collective, commanding presence, weeded her way into the royal court, always looking to find out what the Pact are up to.
From “The World Summit”;
Canach: You fooled me once with your illusions, so now I wonder if you’re truly as young as-
Countess Anise: Do not finish that sentence. Not here, not ever.
I think this is just hinting at her being Livia. As far as Livia/Anise being Lazarus, I favor the idea.
But I imagine that isn’t where the story is going.
Really don’t like the Balthazar theory, but beyond that, the only other possibility is that it’s just Lazarus.
The Vizier thing is interesting, but I’m not sure they’re bringing him back into the story.
More than likely just Lazarus himself.
Just lost a tier 3 keep in ebg. Real fun having 30 against 70. Been kitten on all week due to this pairing.
I also kind of wonder if Taimi actually pits Primordus up against the deep sea dragon by mistake, and somehow destroys the deep sea dragon or both. I don’t know how likely it is, but it still leaves room for an icy expansion, or an underground expansion, or just potentially eliminates the only dragon that has yet not received a name. And then they wouldn’t have to worry about redoing underwater combat. lmao.
After watching WP’s video I was reminded she was having Omaad’s machine delivered to the lab to pit the dragon’s energies against each other. The apparatus we see is most likely Omaad’s machine.
He also pointed out that Lazarus is surrounded by what look like branded crystals. So being a champion of Kralkatorik is still a possibility and explains that aura.
Not really sure on that one but at least it would be a good catalyst for leading into a Crystal Desert expansion and explaining why Lazarus would be interested in Omaad’s machine.
Although I wouldn’t think that Kralk would want to sabotage those two dragons destroying each other as that would be an all you can eat buffet for him upon success.
No. lol Gadd was an asura that was experimenting with souls and golemns, and is Vekk’s father, who was at the Quora Sum area when escaping with Ogden during a Primordus attack.
Is Dragon Vigil the one with Aurene? Because we hadn’t finished dealing with the White Mantle at that point.
And just because we’ve slain elder dragons and are known heroes, doesn’t mean that we’re automatically granted access to some secret plan the queen may have in the works to deal with the White Mantle, if she even had anything to do with it and not fully Anise if Anise is Livia.
It’s further fuel to the fire if even the great and mighty pact commander believes Lazarus the mursaat is back while the White Mantle is still a threat. Sure, we may be able to keep the secret and keep the charade going, but it’s kind of a crucial time to risk making any mistakes if someone, say, E, had knowledge that the White Mantle were about to plan an attack.
And nothing about this trailer specifies that we’re talking about Lazarus as the evil that threatens Kryta. We ASSUME it is, and it focuses on Lazarus with him “trapping” Kasmeer and Marjory in the dragon lab, but we also have two elder dragons threatening us at the same time. The trailer may serve to push us towards confirming that Lazarus is evil, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that’s where it’s going.
No, that is the dragon lab. I’m just saying that there’s a huge area behind that area of Rata Novus if you break out of the map with Asura rubble and a platform with a door overlooking a massive hole in the terrain where it looks like they had something planned at one point. That’s where I was speculating they might add in either more of Rata Novus, or potentially this Quora Sum place. Or at the very least make it an area leading to the next map.
But yes, all of the footage in the trailer is in fact the dragon lab and Taimi’s main area of this expansion.
Further leading me to the discussion about Livia/Anise the soul battery, and Gadd who was Vekk’s father.
But great addition to the thread. Also further making me believe that we’re going deeper into Rata Novus and possibly finding this Quora Sum.
There’s still that huge gaping hole in Tangled Depths behind Rata Novus that’s been unfinished this whole expansion. It’s possible that could be either more of Rata Novus or Quora Sum, and lead into the next map.
Well, as I’m on a rampage with this theory at the moment, if Anise = Livia = Lazarus, it’s entirely possible that Queen Jennah may not want the commander to have known the true identity just yet due to the white mantle still being a threat, and of course Lazarus the Mursaat potentially fragmenting the white mantle and weakening the ranks was already part of the plan.
Know that the White Mantle are essentially dealt with or at least the current leader, it may be time for Lazarus to reveal the true identity.
Even if WE know that we can keep a secret and are high ranking officials, that doesn’t mean that us knowing wouldn’t have put the grand plan at risk. Anise is also said to be very cunning and, if Livia, has been playing the long game this whole time. I don’t think she’s going to put any part of her plan in jeopardy.
I do like the idea mentioned above about Kasmeer using her abilities and being shocked to find out that Lazarus is truly Lazarus though.
I still can’t help but wonder if the line above the trailer in the post is a hint though. Something mentioning the “truth being reflected.”
Furthermore, if Anise is Livia and Livia is Lazarus, the scepter being described at least on the wiki has having the power of the “mind world” whatever that means, would potentially open up the possibility of Lazarus’s illusion simply manifesting from the power of the scepter, and Marjory having discussed previously that Lazarus being of interest because of his having “touched death” or what have you in one of the episodes, could be because she senses that Lazarus is really Livia who is also a necromancer.
I’m just trying to find the most logical solution for why Kasmeer is so involved with the potential reveal of Lazarus, and why she is so shocked.
While also considering who would be powerful enough to absorb a bloodstone blast. While Livia may not be the most powerful character historically, she is still the biggest lead for where the Scepter of Orr is, and would an object that powerful not have the ability to absorb bloodstone?
No clue.
It may all be one huge stretch, but the more I look into various points, the more it adds up for me.
Can’t wait till next Tuesday though, that’s for sure.
I’m kind of wondering if Kasmeer is the one that unmasks Laz though. If the purple aura around him isn’t so much his Mesmer illusion as much as it is Kasmeer using one of her Mesmer abilities to reveal the true identity with her “true sight” or ability at least to tell when someone is lying.
I posted in the other thread, but I’ll share it here as well.
What if Lazarus isn’t bad, but is actually just Anise in disguise. And what if Anise is actually Livia.
During the making of H.O.P.E. we get a soul battery from Anise, and why would Anise have such an object? It would make sense if Anise and Livia were the same person as Livia had interaction with Gadd, the asura that was experimenting on the dead seer and trying to combine necromancy/souls and golemns.
While I don’t believe it’s Anise, it does seem rather strange that we get this https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Soul_Battery_Fragment from Anise during the making of H.O.P.E.
Why has she been holding onto an object like this for so long? And where did she get it from?
After doing minimal research, so this doesn’t mean much, it would make sense that Anise would have a soul battery if she were really Livia in disguise, given that Livia had plenty of interaction with Gadd who was the one experimenting with the dead Seer.
Could it stand to reason that Anise is Livia and may also be Lazarus. If this is the case, it would explain why Kasmeer is so shocked. And technically, we can’t really tell from the trailer whether or not Lazarus is confirmed against us. Only that he trapped us in Rata Novus. But did he trap us to reveal his true identity because we are already on edge about the fact that we know they are most likely an impersonator.
It’s all a bit of a stretch but would be pretty fascinating and tie up a lot of loose lore ends.
(edited by cptaylor.2670)
Actually, I think this may be most likely. I THINK, this episode will start off with us going back to Taimi. We ended the last episode with her ready to pin the dragons against each other for the most part. It would make sense that we check in with her and try to find the whereabouts of Marjory and the others. If we start this episode with Taimi in Rata Novus, and Lazarus ends up being bad and “trapping” us there, it makes sense for Taimi to open the gate and potentially lead us further into Rata Novus or that land east of it as our escape. It would explain the verdant appearance, and the water looks exactly like the water that is in the unfinished part of Dragon Stand being turbulent and wavy. Plus, the rocks look like more of a sandstone than an ashen black like in Ember Bay. Asset-wise, it’s the only area I can think of that would make sense from what we’ve seen.
But it really is a very vague and short trailer, as with most of the ones this season with the exception of the last.
Kind of frustrating, but I suppose it makes it a bit exciting as well.
I feel like the purple aura around Lazarus is important. They seem to be focusing on it for some reason. As far as the new map I’m pretty sure it’s either next to tangled depths or the fire island chain. More than likely the fire island chain. Just with a tropical portion on at least one side of the island. As to kasmeers reaction I don’t think that’s a matter of it being Kyle or Anise but it is strange that we see her reaction over the others.
1. Bitterfrost Frontier for scene variety and atmosphere. Minus points on events though. I feel this would have been an excellent one for a big meta.
2. Lake Doric, although simple and somewhat boring has a lot of beautiful hidden areas in it.
3. Bloodstone Fen due to its use of gliding and masteries, plus a meta and more fun boss events.
4. Ember Bay is kind of dull for me. The events don’t intrigue me much and many of them are too close together or spawn at the same time. I haven’t spent that much time here but I haven’t really WANTED to spend that much time here. It took me forever the first time around just figuring out where I was supposed to go.
That being said, I think there are positive aspects of each of these maps that could be combined into one amazing map. Would be interesting to see if each team works together for one final addition.
More interactable objects. Portals/chests.
NPC ai that causes them to interact with each other, random visiting pact soldiers or refugees that offer reward events or missions or something as potential guild activities.
A dps golemn/summonable weekly/daily boss.
Ambient creatures that guild members can collect through somekind of collection achievement similar to the cats.
There needs to be more reason to explore the guild halls than just walking to the inn for a buff or the scribing station for your daily node gathering. I’m not even sure the portal gets that much use.
There really hasn’t been any love outside of a few occasional decorations thrown towards guild activities or guild halls this expansion and I was hoping one of these updates would be centered around that. But it kind of seems like they just abandoned that aspect of the expansion outside of the few decorations they’ve added here and there.
I’m leaning towards somewhere in the Deldrimor Front as a good half and half battle map between Jormag and Primordus minions. But who knows. It could just wind up being the fire island chain again. I personally hope it’s not just an ice zone or just a fire zone but something with a lot of variety.
Would really love to finish up that area next to Tangled Depths or explore further into the Woodland Cascades near the raid but I’m not sure that’s where they’re going with this.
If it’s either in the Deldrimor Front or above Fireheart Rise, we have a chance of encountering Jormag and Primordus while simultaneously stepping foot into Kralkatorik territory, which could be convenient if Jormag or Primordus, or both, die when pitted against each other.
Would be funny if it was just a different surviving Mursaat. lol
I was hoping they would release it tomorrow, but I still don’t expect the patch itself to come out until the beginning of May. Probably the 2nd after the pvp season ends. Would love to get a look at the trailer though. I guess next Tuesday is more likely for the trailer but here’s to hoping.
I would like this idea, but as a current event living world update, using the reforged Shadowstone.
Mainly just because I want to have something I can use the reforged shadowstone with. lol
I would prefer to see this map or a map close to the new raid wing giving us more backstory on that area and just what’s going on up there. But I don’t think it will be the last episode. I think people are right in that there are three more episodes. As much as I like the idea of an expansion this year, I just don’t think it will be coming out anytime soon. Honestly, I don’t expect this episode to even come out until the beginning of May after the pvp season ends. But I am hoping every Tuesday for more current events and have yet to see any. Who knows. I have wanted to see this area though and they definitely had something planned for rata novus with the huge hole in the terrain in tangled depths to the right of rata novus.
I also think at some point fractals are going to get a big tie in or reveal with the living story whether it has to do with the new raid wing, ring of fire, rata novus, or a rhytlo k revisit.
They could have just always used the bubble glider and put it in its own bubble on land. lol
Ohh that one. Okay. Sad times. lol
Is this a new current event or something?
I don’t see the appeal in it that’s for sure. Or what it has to do with anything. I guess a fish from the drained lake Doric?
Anyone have any good build recommendations for a nearly full celestial Mesmer?
I’ve got a set and was trying to think of a build that would have a lot of synergy with it but nothing really comes to mind.
Other than maybe a mixed celestial/tanking set but I’m not sure the condi damage would really matter for a lot of the weapons you would use for tanking.
