Killing something using an exploit may not make pugs less being noobs, but killing things using a bug or exploit severely undermines the argument that the kill was done because of skilled play. If the kill was accomplished because of a bug, then legit or not, it’s nothing to be proud of since it had nothing to do with skilled play.
Also the argument that ANet “allowed” the bug to be applied in the 1st place is nonsensical if you know even the smallest amount about computer programming.
So we are able to get 9+ minute kills without using the exploit at all. Down from about 11+ minutes before the doubling of health.
With all guardians using symbols we got 14:11 today. Guardians are very broken right now… honestly cant wait for the fix.
And i agree you cannot argue that teq is still fine using an “exploit” or broken mechanic, however it its just as doable as before without using this. But once again people HAVE TO MELEE!!! people need to get there reflects going. If there are people on the map that absolutely refuse to get in melee tell them to just clean out fingers. The fingers are what actually kills a zerg, not Teq.

Just a point of intrest,how do you ensure no guardian’s are using the symbols exploit?
The teq buff is over the top and it is only really possible to beat this event using the guardian symbols exploit.
Once the exploit became common knowledge the get good ltp seemed to vanish.
It is not low lvls thats the problem its the system they are using to downscale.

It’s pretty simple, I maxed my character and fully invested in Ascended gear. That should always place me amongst the most powerful players in any zone. Otherwise, my reward for leveling is worse performance? That I have to buy Ascended gear just to try and keep up my previous level of performance??? That kind of design is flat out absurd!

As it stands there have been a grand total of zero kills of teq since its hp was doubled that can be guaranteed not to be attributed to the guardian symbol exploit.
some folk call anything wining. its not if you cheat. and an exploit is a cheat.most know that.
Was this intended or just another opps,and will we ever know?Its all a bit depressing considering how hyped they got us for the xpax. The mess they made with the prepurchase then this double teq hp nonsense and the guardian symbol exploit.
With this exploit going on at the same time as the double hp teq fiasco no one can claim to have beaten this event. There would have to be no guardians .

Low level more powerful than down scaled
I’ll take a leap of faith and say that most of the Tequatl kills happening now are due to the symbol trait bug which allows for absolutely insane amounts of damage.
That doesn’t fix the problem itself.
Looks like if you want to kill teq its lfg exploit map.
Go look at some of the test results. the normal low lvls are doing more dmg that the down scale lvl 80.
You are entitled to your views as I am mine. Putting down others opinions does not make yours more important.

Seriously, low level zones are not hard by any stretch of the imagination. The only thing this does is make sure that when you are at the appropriate level for the zone, the whole area doesn’t get spoiled by high level one-shotting everything around you.
But hey, if this is a deal breaker, maybe it’s simply not the game for you.

Congratulations. but how many have failed or have just given up? there is a big drop in lfg activity for teq. that would indicate a big drop in the number of instances that are even attempting this event. And that’s a big loss to a lot of players.
So a new player joins this game levelling up in a starter zone and spends hours and hours maybe months levelling up and crafting expensive ascended gear and maybe legendry’s only to come back to that starting zone to find himself weaker than when he started. Are anet taking the kitten or what.

It seems to me this goes against the whole point of an mmo you lvl up to get stronger, but in this you go back to were you start and have made no progress. And to do this and at the same time double teqs hp is beyond stupid.Im starting to get a really bad tast in my mouth about anet and the future of this game.

They double teqs hp and nerf our down scale lvl all at the same time. now our ascended gear makes no difference and we would be as well fighting in lvl 65 gear.
Some one give anet a genius of the year award.
And the fact your just as well of in lvl 65 gear as your expensive ascended and legendarys has no impact of this fight?
not really fair that we loose the benefit of our expensive ascended gear is it.
i actually felt like they ripped me off when i tested it.The whole point of an mmo is character progression .dont look like you make much progress in this game.

Goes against the adapt and adjust your tactics like we had to do after teqs last big buff’

I wasn’t around at that time but would love to see the patch notes. there have been a few said these nerfs did not happen.
I really wish we could get an official response on this. because it does not seem to match the patch notes. Is it bugged? Or is it intended. Reply I got from support makes me think its a bug as they indicated I should report it in game as a bug.

I think it’s really awesome how much coordination and organization it takes to beat Tequatl now.

I take it these comments were meant to inspire the thousands of players who did attempt it over the weekend and failed.Seems to me some of the people that say they are for this hp boost dont have the best of intentions.
I really hope this over the top hp to drag fight out is not a taste of things to come.
Expansion looks small from what they have shown,maybe its going to be packed full of hp sponges to add that challenging group content.
We just beat Tequatl with 11 mins to spare.
Hows about a taxi for me and several thousand other players who just cant find a great map like that after showing up an hour early.
Is there something in the water at anet? Makes no sense to kitten of players/customers with an expansion on the horizon.
Effort v reward how much time is 1g and a spoon worth? if you fail 2 out of 3 that’s nearly 4 hours if you show up an hour early like I do.

The problem is a lot of people think 200% hp was just a bit to much and the one spot you can crit him is melee only.
Its simple, if a net prefer to keep the 10% of so called hard core players happy at the expense of the 90% guild wars 2 dies and anet go out of business.
Triple trouble, dungeons and fractals seem to me to be exclusive content for the so called hard core who are what maybe10% of the people playing this game.Now 90% of the player base is to lose teq so that the hard core can have more to do.
I am here to speak for the silent majority in the game. First off let me give you the profile of the many of never come to the forums but want to enjoy the game.
The average gamer here is not a “Metabattle Warrior”. We cannot nor want to calculate every single damage point and every single stat. We just want our character to look cool and do whatever we want it to do. The average gamer is not part of a gigantic guild with organised leaders who know the game inside out. We rarely even have friends who play to begin with. The average gamer wants to have fun and small challenges to receive a sense of accomplishment together with other gamers. We do not want to be exluded Read 80s Exp Only, fail Get destroyed by tequatl/Evolved Jungle Wurm, became desperate because all methods keep failing Read trying to do AC but dying because of 30 bleeds and cleanses on cooldown, or belittled read people shouting at you on chat and calling you an idiot and blaming each other for failing.
The recent changes have made this all come back again. Challenging group content does not mean turn make people turn against one another. It just means people from RANDOM places who try and coordinate with one another should succeed EG old times teq before condi patch. When the new condi patch came it the world bosses and dungeons were not “too easy” rather, it was made accessible to the average gamer who now had a real chance and completing a milestone together with random people. Case in point was Evolved Jungle Wurm. Random commanders from different clans who only need to be on the same team can lead the wurm. And not only that, we had numbers because the average gamer KNEW they actually had a chance at completing
the wurm.Going back to my point, the doubling of HP, the defiance during condi damage, the nerfing of power based damage in dugeons was unnecessary. Tequatl fails more times than succeeding which is not what it should be. People lose hope and just not letting the average gamer succeed. Evolved jungle wurm is as hard as ever which is not a good thing as it means the average gamer has once again no chance of successfully completing the event. And the best one, the easiest dungeon has become impossible to do due to higher hp mobs and doubled up bosses. Not to mention getting swarmed by 30+ trash mobs makes the average gamer feel like a world boss with no HP to talk about. The average gamer doesn’t want to die over and over. We want to and like to succeed.
All that being said, I really hope Anet relooks their strategy for balancing the game. There are much better ways to drain gold for the game or make content more challenging. But definitely do not alienate your main demographic i.e. Average Gamers from the equation as these people are what made your game popular and it would be a shame to lose them.

Git Gud Nub: I do lead teq and participate in evolved jungle wurm and try and do dungeons daily. I am not the Average gamer. However anyone can see this has gone too far. It even made the game less enjoyable for me which is really saying something

Anet screwed up:Yes and No. This is normal and it is up to the community to give them proper feedback. However Anet should also have tested their updates properly. Not with Full ascended full infused gear but rather with normal exotic gear and going with a decent pug. Not to mention the dungeons and fractals were completely left out of the testing for sure.
Get off GW2: I payed for this game and I enjoyed it before. I am going to get my moneys worth. Especially with the new expansion coming out.

the player base learned how to do teq on a regular basis nine out of ten times then they double its hp. now it fails most times.
after 3 years doing it over and over we don’t need this 200% hp challenge.
All im saying is a 200% increase in teq hp is not in the best interests of the majority of players and the forums seem to reflect that opinion.
