Maybe you just do not understand the meaning of the word tier my friend.
if legendary were not above ascended as in a higher tier then we wouldn’t all go that extra mile for it now would we.

What about this promise not so long ago were we were told no new tiers of gear would be added to invalidate all our hard work at 16.40.
They then proceed to add a new tier of armor LEGENDARY.
And lock most of us out of ever having best in slot again.
Lies to get our money then ignore the complaints.
wtf has anet turned into.

SPIN IT HOW YOU LIKE LEGENDARY ARMOR IS A NEW TIER.and we were promised that would not happen by the top man himself.

i play a warrior with 2 sets ascended Armour 2 legendary that i crafted but payed for the mats and fully upgrade bank and inventory .plus various skins off the gem store and around 12k gold.now i was promised just before the launch of hot that my best in slot gear would always be the best in slot gear.that was a downright lie since they added a new armor tier LEGENDARY.And locked it behind a wall they know full well most players wont be able to get past.

Pre hot you had options to get anything you wanted,grind some farm some pay some to lesson mat grind.Now they launch an expac and its all change and there is one way to get the new best in slot gear.Me and a lot of players have dorped a kitten tone of money into this game,me personally over £3000 that uk pounds not euro or dollars.And now they have the frigin cheek to tell me im not good enough.Lets see all the ftp and raid eleet players make up the shortfall in income this game will suffer buy abandoning there core players who funded this game since launch.

They made promises not the long ago,we were told just before hot that they wouldn’t increase lvl cap and invalidate all our hard worked for gear. Well guess what you just invalidated all our Expensive ascended armor buy adding a new legendary tier armor.

Its says a lot about a company when they are willing to loose a lot of customers that have thrown a lot of cash at them.

A some people have said this was not a promise just a statement of intent to take our money and do whatever the hell they like.

Ye and what happened to that pre hot promise that if you had best in slot now you would always have it.Once the select few have there legendary armor ascended just becomes the new exotic and is no longer best in slot.Im sure they will come up with some explanation and change there definition of best in slot.

you cant change stats on skins and they are not purple.

Locking the best in slot armor behind raids will be a game breaker for the large % of players who will never have a chance at it.Some claim it offers no advantage but the fact is its legendary and want always outweighs need.

Well a declaration of intent is great and all that but just like politicians who say one thing before an election theN once they got your vote they do what THEY like.ITS DISHONEST.

The bottom line is that anet make this game to earn money and if they lock a large chunk of the player base out of legendary armor why would they bother to buy gems and turn them to gold.the last gen of legendary accounted for buy far the biggest reason to buy gems.Do they want make content players will spend money on or content to keep the top few% of skilled players happy.

And my problem is that up until now my 3k hrs and £3000 spent on the gem store got me all the best in slot gear.but now they do a 180 and im not worthy.i dont mind grind i maxed there mastery’s to 163 paying 250 gold to some guild raid to join there group for the last two mastery points.This game was an escape from all my real life problems now i just face the same exclusions.

Tell it like it is,it was a lie.they downright lied to us.in any other industry this would be fraud.

Im 52 years old with aspergers syndrom and arthritis in both hands.i have played 3k hours and try my best.I have spent £3000 on gems in this game.Ok im not worthy.

i play a warrior and have several sets of ascended gear.eternity and the predator.And my bank and inventory slots are maxed. Your definition of a skin relay don’t fit in with what qualify s as a skin in the rest of the game.
Skins go over your gear to change apearance.legendry gives the ability to change stats to fit the needs of what your doing and saves carrying multiple sets.And most importantly gives you something to work towards.at the moment my 11k sits there and grows.I honestly feel i have been misled by anent about there intentions for the game.And as it stands its not possible for me to make any further progress in the game.
Mastery’s at 163 ,so please do tell whats left except raids that im excluded from.

Did you bother to read my last post on this thread? Let me sum things up.Im not in a guild i don’t have friends.I have tried to find both but it just don’t work for me. Asperger syndrome is a condition that means i don’t have the ability to interact or communicate with people.I do not expect anet to design content around my or anyone else s needs.
But up until now they have been able to provide choices and different ways to get to ones goals.This unfortunate change in direction by anet now excludes a lot of players.

My problem is not with working for legendary armor.nor is it with my skill lvl at the game.my big problem is that team speak or similar is needed to be able to use raids.
Legendary armor is not just cosmetic and if it were id have no problem with that.
I will be clear here,there are a lot of people play this and other mmo who have Asperger syndrome and other similar conditions who cannot use things like team speak.We come hear to escape exclusion.Play how you want and having choice about how you got stuff meant a lot to us.

God forbid you have to put in effort for the shiny stuff. “Play how you want” doesn’t mean you can get everything doing whatever you want. Don’t like dungeons? No dungeon armor for you. Don’t like raids? No raid rewards. Why should you be able to get raid rewards without doing the raid?

Dungeon armor is exotic and exotic armor can be gotten from pretty much every activity in the game.i would have no problem if it were just skins locked behind raids,but this is not the case.

Play how you want has become play our way or go away.I will hang around for a wile in the hopes that anet will suffer financial repercussions from the player base in relation to this total change in the games direction from all inclusive to elitists only.

Yes raids are meant for organized groups and the chances of even getting close with lfg are slim to none.Its exclusive content us scrubs are meant to pay but not get the pleasure of doing ourselves.

Starting from scratch you got 4.8 mill xp to get to lvl 80 then you will be needing 86,000,000 xp to max out your mastery tracks.

And how may i ask do you learn anything when using lfg you will most likely be with different players on every attempt.Raids are for organized groups who spend a lot of time playing together.

looks like iv been wasting my time doing fractals for the ad infinitum collection.

There’s a lot of people siting on a lot of gold.I saved up 11k just for legendary armor just to find out im locked out of getting it as it behind raids.And im not one of the chosen few in a guild running raids.Seems crazy to lock the vast majority of players out of legendary armor.

60+ hours on gw2communitys team speak with 400 other people waiting for an organized attempt at the TD meta knowing most times you wont even get on the right map ip is not what i call having fun.knowing your excluded from raids cos your not one of the chosen few in a top guild.The people who supported this company and game since launch seem to no longer be there target audience.

They gave us free gifts on the tp the last few days just to show us how much they care and appreciate our loyalty over the years.And don’t it just fill your heart with———-when you look at that merchant express and think of anet.

Its not the raids or there difficulty i have a problem with,its the fact they have locked legendary armor behind them.I have all the ascended armor and legendary weapons il ever want and maxed out the mastery’s.But the one thing i was looking forward to il never get because its locked behind raids.And i like a lot of other players wont do raids.
it cost me 250g to join an organized guild team to get the first raid boss done for the 2 mastery tracks locked behind that.
Give them the challenge they want.But if its challenge they want,why do they need exclusive access to legendary armor.Whats wrong with a title to show how great they are.

when the players stop spending money on this game they will listen and not before.

This game has changed into something i nether asked for nor want and as someone who has spent a fortune on gems the best way for me to let anet know what i think of what they have done to my hobby is to withdraw all financial support.And if they no longer need me and my money im sure there are other games out there be happy to have us.

HOT being harder is a big improvement IMO, the PVE in the base game was ridiculously easy. The real issue is the grindiness that’s creeping in.

na the grind is fine im at mastery lvl 163. but the problem with thinking just about yourself is that the game dies.

TD meta is a pushover compared to raids. and when did the people that played this game since launch ask for this crap? Anet decided to screw over there own player base to draw in a few raiders from wow.

The people buying large amounts of gems are not and never will be the same people that can do raids.and by marginalizing the people who are the life blood of this game anet have committed economic suicide.

lfg was full of people wanting to do raids when they first launched,most of them have now realized that they wont ever get them done and have given up.I just dont see how it makes sense to put something new on the menu that everyone wants but the vast majority will never have.

Yes raids and the exclusive new legendary armour that is locked behind them that 90% of the paying customers who supported this game since launch wont have access to will be the end for guild wars 2.

Anet seem to have forgot in there arrogance who the most important people in this whole equation are.The paying customer who have been paying there salary for years.
If this game isnt what we want we just go somewhere else.

I have played the game for over 3.5k hours and probably spent just as much in real money ie £3500. Maybe 40 years ago i would have been up to these raids but arthritis and age takes its toll.The point is this game has done a complete 180 on what it set out to be,and a lot of people feel betrayed and cheated.But have fun in your raids.time will tell what most of guild wars 2 customers want.

legendarys are not a must have item?Are you crazy?What else is it you think was behind most of the gem purchases in the last 3 years?Do you honestly think all the big spenders on this game just buy skins?You poor deluded soul

Will the raiders get out there credit cards and make up for the inevitable loss of income the game will suffer due to the casuals being locked out of the latest greatest must have legendary gear?And who is going to admire there new shinny legendary armours when the casuals that funded this game since launch have got sick of not getting to play what they paid for and the servers have shut down?

don’t you think that players who don’t like raids or just cant do them might have a serious problem paying for content for other people?And that top few % of players who are able to do raids and get that new shinny legendary armour probably arnt the ones reaching for there credit cards and supporting this game.When a new tier of gear is added every one wants it.Anet just done what they said they would never do,invalidate all our hard work and gear.And most of us have not been given any way to get that new must have gear.

Since iv got 2 hrs between gerent attempts on TD i come here to complain to fill the time.I am at around 30 straight fails so not surprisingly im rather kittened off.

Anet held back vital information that would have put a lot of people of prepurchase right till a couple of days before launch.So no il not be buying nothing iv not seen from them again.

This topic will fall on deaf ears, Anet do not care for these types of topics at all, and to back up Anets reasoning for ignoring you, is well dedicated teams using TS3/Vent have beaten the Meta, if you are a pug you have no chance,

There have already been topics about this zone for weeks now, and they have went ignored, not even as much as an acknowledgment on the problem.

The fact still remains the map is dead, pugs have no chance to complete this, the events failure rate is to high, so people avoid it to go do other metas that succeed and that are rewarding, not to mention the other meta’s also don’t instant fail if one of the events during that meta fail, you get a chance to continue, in TD if just 1 lane is a few ppl short and cant get that pre done BAM 2 hour wait for the next event.

I feel Anet have already washed there hands of this map, and have already moved forward with Raids etc, they may review the map in a few months or so, or just leave it for dead.

Its been just over a month since HoT came out, and Anet haven’t replied once about the situation in TD,

So my advice is, if you really want this map, you will have to sit on a TS community server for 2 hours+ then hope that when they port in that you end up on the same map, if you do manage to get onto the map, then you are half way there, but keep in mind that even dedicated teams can fail the event also.

i have been siting on gw2community ts for over a week trying to get the gerent meta done.and the maps i have gotten on to with them haven’t done any better than pugs.
out of 23 straight fails 13 have been on maps organized by gw2community.There is a lot of demand for these maps and when gw2comminity make an attempt over 300 people are trying to grab available slots.

ye im fully aware of that. and resent the fact that content has been made that only 1%-5% customers will be able to do what we all payed for.

I payed for the game and the xpac + a kitten tone of additional money and do not like what they have turned the game into.grind grind grind.Content(RAIDS) thats meant for only a small percentage of the player base that payed for buy all.This game was casual and chilled that i played for fun and to relax.its my right as an angry frustrated consumer to complain when i don’t get what i payed for.Give us back our game,why the hell do i want to pay for someone else to play content.

i do not have a problem with normal mmo content,its this adventure rubbish that has no place in character progression.its immersion breaking,why do i want to play a mushroom?
did not notice mushroom on character creation when i made my human warrior.
