xp is just players time and Anet have no problem with wasting that. they gave us 5 mill xp to grind for the itzel poison mastery then after me and probably lots of other players spend hours grinding out the xp they change it. At the moment i can only think of one word to some up how i feel DISGUSTED.

and when you select that new mastery even if its on the same track the excess xp from the last mastery does not get added it just vanishes. and in such a grindy system thats a disgrace.
if you need 10k xp to fill the bar and get 26k xp from an event ye what happens to that 16k xp? looks to me like its wasted
How bloody marvelous i almost finish the most horrid grind in my life and now its no longer needed.And no chance il get that 5mill xp back to spend on the mastery i want.
Way to go ANET stick it to the players who actually done the dam grind you expected of us.
I was ok with the mastery grind till i hit the train the itzel poison lore to continue your story.5million xp to be able to continue the story thats more xp than it took to go from 1-80 in the original game.

HOT will not be balanced around the hardcore or the capsule player,it will be balanced around earning money.The majority will always prevail as that’s who pays the bills.

400hp for elite spec and 17mill per mastery Grind wars 2.
Thats exactly the point,its no different from leveling from 1-80 just takes over three times the xp to do it and in an area thats a tiny fraction of the size of the original game.and thats for one mastery there are 4 of them in hot.
I for one chose this game over other mmo specifically because of it no grind approach,as did a hell of a lot of other players.If the developers are changing there philosophy towards GRIND then its probably time i changed games.
It takes 4,860,359 xp to lvl from 1-80 now they lock 1 mastery track behind 17million xp.
sadly i already bought the expansion and since i hate grind it looks like il be locked out of large chunks of it.
To max out one mastery we will need to grind out 17mil xp.
What happened to no grind? I have been looking forward to this expansion for months now a week before launch i find out this.

I am having the same problems constant crashing during teq and karka and this is a new pc i got just for GW2 i7 4790k gtx970. turning settings down don’t help.geting fed up spending time for no rewards.
Fractals don’t have repair anvils within the instance and instant repair canisters are sold in the gem store so i suspect that’s the reason
Silver-fed salvage-o-matic seems to be the problem in my case,got a mystic salvage kit and i am now getting way more ecto than i had been for the last few weeks.
The number of ectos i have been getting has gotten so bad i have pretty much stoped salvaging rares,and thats after investing in a silver-fed salvage-o-matic specificly for salvaging rares.Is it possible that the salvage rate is manipulated to maintain the price of ectos? I have noticed in 2.7k hrs that when the price of ectos drops low then the number of ectos i get from a days salvaging will drop.

teq is back to were it should be and pretty much the same as before they broke it.
Im getting the same crash and rollback every time I try a world boss since last patch.
Is not the main source of precursors the mystic forge. I haven’t had one drop but had 5 out the mystic forge in 2.5k hrs.
We just beat Tequatl with 11 mins to spare.
Hows about a taxi for me and several thousand other players who just cant find a great map like that after showing up an hour early.

I would have though it would be salvage to salvage. Not whole bad days and whole good days. but it does always seem to work its self out.Gamblers in real life have good days and bad days.
RNG can and does have streaks and those streaks can last through an entire day.
And in game unless a player gets a lot of rares and exotics, it wouldn’t be hard to get a run of good luck or a run of bad luck.

Since anet is out to make profit there should be no argument of who has access.Well, teq aside, I’m sorry but just because you buy the game doesn’t mean you are going to be able to faceroll through 100% of the content. Anet caters to different types of players. TT for example is specifically for the hardcore. They are also introducing challenging content in HoT. And you know what, I’m not going to say this is anti-casual because it isn’t. Just because content is difficult does not mean it’s not for casual players. Some casual players (like myself) actually like this harder content.
This was and will be again a popular open world event that a lot of players including myself enjoyed.And as for triple trouble thats not even close to hard core it just needs team speak.I have done my fair share of triple trouble using team speak but the attitude and arrogance of some of the people who command this event puts me off big time,i have gran children older than some off these inflated egos.
I really wish they would come down from mount Olympus and speek to us paying mortals about this matter. Its been four days since we got this blessing.

Teq’s in a great spot at the moment imo. It’s of sufficient difficulty that it requires some coordination and player skill, yet not overly difficult that it’s impossible without voice chat.
Your definition of “great spot” is seriously flawed. I have yet to succeed without voice chat or broken traits. So I have to disagree with your assessment of the situation.
and who sad you should be able to succeed with pug?

Better to leave it to easy than this frustrating mess.Silver waists is a bit of a face roll but no one complains.Could that be because there’s easy gold to be made.
It’s ONE kitten boss. Anet has better things to do with their time at the moment (not to mention it’s a holiday weekend), especially when boss farmers have plenty of bosses to kill.

Yes your missing the part were cheep tricks like double hp do not in any way come close to meeting anyone’s expectations of challenging group content.
There was nothing wrong with teq before the 23 June and the event needs scaled back to that level asp.
Throw us a crumb anet, is teq going to be fixed so we can all get back to having some fun?

There was nothing wrong with teq before the patch on the 23 June . i seen no large scale complaints on these forums.I fully understand that the patch made it to easy but the knee jerk reaction buy anet went over the top and has once again caused friction and anger in the community.It could be that they are working to adjust this event to get it back on par with the way it was pre 23 june .No one knows there intentions and that is what i find unacceptable.

Its not like saying it,it is saying it,dungeons,fractals,spvp lock out the vast majority of players due to the elitist attitude exhibited by some players.
As i have said before i done teq every single day for over 9 months and it was balanced fine,If it is anets intention to make this event another triple trouble team speak ip hoping fiasco then they can stick there expansion were the sun don’t shine.
Now that the Symbolic Avenger Trait has been disabled there will be a sharp drop in the success rates of the teq event.Maybe that will help speed up the much needed fix.
I can understand that it may take time to fix these problems if indeed thats what they are.But i strugle to comprehend the reasons why they cant at least give us some info on what they are planing to do if anything.silence and a gem store update.
Some players are just that leet they don’t need stats.
looks like teq now ranges from ok to easy for guilds and organized groups but to difficult for pug maps. If you can believe all that’s posted

The only thing i can say for certain is i do not like the increase in teq hp and only being able to crit in one spot.
Since the vast majority of the game is not lvl 80 is ascended gear worth the effort
Before they doubled teq hp I could show up 20mins early use the lfg and find a map that I thought had a good chance of killing teq and 9 times out of 10 it was successful.
Now I need to show up an hour early and my chances are significantly lower. Was it anets intention to increase the difficulty of this event or were they trying to get it back to prepatch difficulty levels? The idea of having to spend well over an hour of my time on a slim chance of success on one world boss just does not appeal to me.You are exagerating.If before you had 9/10 successfull win rate plus 20min earlier preparation now after the patch 23rd the it’s even better.10/10 killing rate with showing up 5minutes earlier before the fight start.On 23rd Tequatl was to easy he died so fast.A few days later when the double HP buff wass added Tequatl was still very easy.People atleast learned a new way to kill him.Even when the burning is fixed Tequatl will still be easy.
After 23rd patch ’’n00bs’’ whined world bosses were to easy .Anet doubled the HP so bosses don’t die in an instant atleast.Well everyone and their mother keeps whining.
What can be said atleast is that you have no right to complain of not beeing able to kill Tequatl on daily basis.It doesn’t matter how you killed it as Anet doesn’t care.What matters is that you are able to kill the boss every kitten day.
