What will get me the most damage overall? I am deciding between 6 runes of scholar, or 4 runes of scholar + 2 runes of divin, build is shield/mace + GS, with 30, 10, 0, 0, 30, with II, IX, and XI in the first line, IV in the second, and III, VIII, and XI in the last.

Dude, this isn’t a matter of “can” or “can’t”, the necro can do all of the above, better and faster, if you want a condition-based engineer you may as well switch to necro because it does the same thing but better.

You can’t compare a class that has to go through all the skillbar, throwing everything around and doing miracles while you get outdamaged by a single auto#1.

Are you seriously comparing engi pistol’s #1 to necro’s #1? the simple fact that pistol’s base bleed is 2s makes it sub-par and impossible to stack, what do you want to cover a 3s confusion?

If you want to play engi in a serious pvp perspective you either run condi-grenades and elixirs or power-rifle with heavy CC (with bombs).

I think you might need to play a bit more Necro before continuing on with your tirade. You’re grossly misrepresenting the characteristics and play of both classes. There is far more capability within the Engi arsenal than there is in Necro’s whose only viable role has revolved around team fight damage dealing.

I’m not saying there aren’t some broken mechanics in question when it comes to this new Necromancer, but it has nothing to do with anything you, or anyone else for that matter, has pointed out.

There is? I have totally benched my HGH engineer in favor of the Necromancer. Bursting people down with conditions shouldn’t be possible but with a Necromancer stacking burning/torment/terror you can absolutely obliterate someone in just a few seconds.

I have tinkered around with things like this. IDK if your willing to do it, but if you want to make your burst even nastier, consider running the Axe/Axe as your second weapon set, when you pop frenzy, you should be able to get a full Whirling Axe+Evis off.

PvP banner warrior bunker build?

This is what I run when I want to bunk. It works for the most part. Most people whine about the healing sig but I find it works quite well in a bunker set up like this when the goal is to keep your enemy CC’ed as much as possible. 1v1 it does fine, 2v1 you can last a fair amount of time, 3v1, your doomed, then again though, almost any bunker is doomed 3v1, and your team should be cleaning up points if that is the case.

Oh, and the stability kitten’s will be sure to rip the build.

I should add that I switched out the 25% speed boost for the sigil CD decrease ability, and swapped the energy sigils for leech sigils for more healing, as my endurance regen is already pretty good with the sigil, of course when I run into heavy condi classes I am using it for clears, but yeah.

Thoughts/comments, with the new change to the Berserker Stance ability, it adds even more condition mitigation to the class.

I should add that obviously, the build credit goes for whoever takes credit for initiating the mace/shield, gs build. No idea whom, so yeah, credit to whomever credit is do. Just my version of it.

Might be worth a look at running this over endure pain, given the new meta with a billion conditions flying around. IDK exactly how it works though, if you have a billion condi’s on you, does it wipe them all off?

Mending or Adrenaline Heal?

Which heal does the community feel is superior? Obviously the Adrenaline Heal pumps out more HP’s but it is on a longer CD and can vary depending on when you need it and how much adren you have at your disposal. The Mending heals 2 condi’s on use and is on a 5 second shorter CD.

The problem is in that when a Necromancer puts a fear on someone with burning+terror+bleeds+poison, instead of the conditions working like their supposed to, a gradual tick down, it becomes a massive burst and people just fall over. Unfortunately I am seeing a massive town down to terror damage, like, complete obliteration. Have fun while you can guys.

The situation with warriors isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. It’s not good either.

Warriors suffer from a couple things, one being a skill cliff where anybody can kill a really bad player with a warrior but a competent player is a thousand times more difficult to beat with a warrior than any other class.

The trouble with warrior 1v1 wise isn’t so much that the Warrior can’t win 1v1. It’s the amount of mistakes that you can make vs the amount of mistakes that your opponent can make. You are more limited in your ability to disengage and your skills are on a much higher cooldown. This leads to a sort of “all or nothing” type situation for warriors. You can, despite what people say, build pretty decently for 1v1’s with a warrior, but you will find yourself without a role in a team if you do that (fortunately you’ll find that most people in a premade team are also going to build for teamfights, don’t feel bad if you have to run back to your bunker from a 1v1 build as he’ll most likely contribute far less to the fight on a point than you will).

In teamfights you can bring damage and deny rez. The latter is probably the biggest one, downing something means nothing if they don’t stay down. The only problem here is that you are extremely dependent on your bunker once you’ve moved into melee.

This comment is probably the best I have read on the Warrior in a while. I am not trying to say that the class isn’t without it’s flaws. CLEARLY, it is, but I don’t feel as I have seen many do on the board, that the class is completely useless and doesn’t have any viable builds, and no role in tPVP. In fact, I feel they have a very useful role in moving between points and helping bunkers defend those points, if coordinated with a bunker their attacks can just absolutely devastate people, not to mention they are incredible mobile and can be anywhere they need to be very quickly. In a 1v1 setting I do quite well against most things, of course there are times where I am just outmatched completely and there is simply nothing I can do about it but disengage, but for the most part, I hold my own and win the majority of my encounters. Overall I think the class could use some improvements, but aNet needs to be careful not to pull a Necromancer on the Warrior class and make them so OP that there is nothing running around but Warrior’s, and force the nerf hammer to come out and blow the class back into the oblivion from whence it came.

This is what I use and how I play it. I’ve changed it recently to Runes of Lyssa and Superior Sigil of Impact on the GS (+10% dmg vs stunned players which is when you score your kills).

I don’t think Frenzy is too important since with Sigil of Paralyzation your skull crack lasts 3.45 seconds which is the duration of a full 100B.

I started out in hotjoins, and was owning bads so laughably bad that I went to tourneys. The comp is way up, but I still am doing just fine, holding my own, I win more than I lose. I mean obviously the class has it’s inherent weaknesses. Necromancers atm are a bit to much for my current skill level on the warrior but with time hopefully I will get better. HGH Engi’s if well played are the same, but if an HGH engi messes up they are toast. Overall been having quite the time lawlzing people with my warrior. The real key to the class that I am seeing is the ability to pick and choose when you want to get into the midst of the fight. If I run in guns blazing ima fall over and die, but if I float around the outside of a teamfight, spot a necromancer unawares, rush over, shield bash, he pops stun, skullcrack, 100blades into the ground, kill, and pull back out and wait for my opportunity again, then I find the class to be very useful. By far the most lawlzy moment I had was against a guardian and a thief, I downed the guardian and got the thief to half health, for some reason thief didn’t stealth up to try to stomp, hit my knockdown on him, hit vengeance, hit frenzy, 100 blades him into the ground, stomp, run over, frenzy still up, quick stomp guardian, lulz, profit, win. I see the flaws the warrior has don’t get me wrong, but I don’t feel as they are as glaring as people make them out to be. The burst build for instance I am running has 1350 toughness, and 21k health, pretty nice for a glass cannon :P People say the class has no use in tPVP, I completely disagree. I feel they can be used extremely well if you coordinate their attacks with another, not only that but their mobility is huge in that they can move between points at a rapid pace to help the bunkers defend those points.

Been playing 3 days so far, have not had nearly as many problems as the amount of QQ’s on this board have led me to believe I should have had. Playing the skull cracking 100 blades smashing build. Been fun so far.

for sPVP/tPVP, thoughts/comments,

Obviously I will be laying back off my enemy staying alive in between bursts, I have found that against the tougher enemies I will do an initial burst on them to get them to pop their heal and then on the second burst pop my frenzy to demolish them, generally works most of the time. Only issues I can see are against people with heavy knockbacks, but eh, I haven’t had many issues with that so far.

So I had an extra slot for both spite and my bar as I have been using the rez sig to little effect with the nerfed cast time on it now, and I was just looking for a stun breaker. I figured, why not use the flesh wurm and the 30% extra damage, which will also help my elite pet. So far it is pretty lawlzy, I chain them in the terror and the pets just go to town on them lol. Fun at least, wish I could get the extra health but alas, I cannot.

edit: Contemplating dropping Path of Midnight for Flesh of the Master, not sure if the additional hp is worth it though, never really run minions before other than the elite which auto heals itself, unlike the wurm.

I am testing between the Sig and the Adren heal atm.

I am not trying to kill anyone, I am a bunker, so unsuspecting foe is not needed.

I am sitting on a point, so I don’t need to close any gaps.

Stability only counters you if your stupid enough to use your knockbacks/knockdowns/stuns when they have it up.

It works just fine against all ranks, been running in tourneys and lulzing at the amount of CC I can pump out.

Seems to me your thinking entirely in terms of a DPS warrior, and not a bunker.

edit: I should say that by not trying to kill anyone I mean my build isn’t designed to kill people, but I of course, am trying to kill them lol

I disagree with you completely. The burst potential with PBR is higher, the CD is not much longer, and the added defensive trait gives you an extra tool to stay alive with. I have always used utility goggles so I have 0 idea where your going with that, that combined with sitting duck is 15 stacks of vun that makes your burst just absolutely kitten people.

I see them taking an HGH approach to terror. Slight nerfs here and there but nothing substantial. As for removing burning, that is hilarious. It is a grandmaster trait that we invest heavily in, it will remain. I can see them moving terror to the grandmaster line though of either Soul Reaping or remaining in the current line it is in. That seems to be a logical choice as moving it up to grandmaster will make players choose between burning and terror.

I find Automated Response to be hilarious. Was fighting a few necro’s earlier and they messaged me in rage because they couldn’t kill me even with all their new buffs, because they couldn’t do any damage to me when I hit 6k lol.
