How can you do damage when your on your back dead?
People run turrets?
The bomb fix on glue bomb is awesome, it covers the entire point when I am defending lol
Apparently they fixed the turret traits so that is good, I can finally start running my turret build again!
Team Savvy represent! Miiro in dat video! Puandro inspiring! Galandor laying dead splat on the ground after a unfortunate dodge roll off the side of the cliff to avoid the zerg!
So my first build of SD was pure glass cannon, and while I would insta nuke someone into the ground, I found myself on the ground almost as often, and fighting anything more than 1 was a pain, also I found myself even in my group fights struggling to stay up, so I wanted a build with the same type of burst potential, but more survive ability. I think I found a nice happy medium. I also added in explosive decent into the build because the way me and my guild play, it is a must, they are jumping off of cliffs etc., to cut travel time, and get from place to place quicker, it of course is not needed at all for other players, but the extra toughness benefits the concept of the build nicely.

Just came up with this from what it sounds like you like,
This is a dungeon build solely, it runs pistol/shield for more defense to protect yourself, and the shield 4 so that you can use it to trigger the aoe heal from your tool belt 1 slot.
The bombs will heal everyone in the group so when your bunched up you will be a real cleric. The elixir gun heal as well will be great for you and your group.

Puandro… Amazing! …
LOL, lol, lol, lol, he lost to my bunker engi in a 1v1! I lawlz kitten him! I pwned him! I beat him into the ground! I stuck it in the kitten!
lol,
Amazing!
lol!
see you in guild Puandro <3
So I have been running 4 different variations of the same bunker build, with a few differences here and there, and I am curious to which people feel looks the best. The main differences between them are 2 run Bomb/Mine, and 2 run Bomb/Tool Kit, and the differences between the 2 versions each are one is more defense based, and the other is more healing based.

What traits? :O
Topic title says it all, I am looking for a rifle warrior burst build for sPVP. I am not really interested in if it is viable or not, I am new to the class and am more interested in testing it out, but seeing as I know very little about the warrior class in general, looking at a premade rifle burst build would educate me on the traits that are worth getting etc.
What the above poster said. Your build has no identity. You are going to be squishy as kitten with poor damage in your power department, because Pistol #1 blows, and average damage in your condition department. If your running HGH you need to run Rabid Gear all the way around, just as simple as that, the HGH will give you the power you need while the toughness will make you very difficult to kill.
Unless you of course run an HGH power build, which I will be doing, and it will be glorious.
I am not a fan of the FT, but what about this O.o Well, at least in bunker type builds.

What build are you running? 0/0/30/30/10 I know, but traits/armor/jewelry/weapons/sigil/runes etc?

What do you consider average about it Walorx?
Thoughts? Saw a build from Teldo and made some tweaks to it.

So far I am loving it, the amount of control I have over multiple enemies is insane, I can hold a point without much trouble. The only major issue I have discovered is when I run into a Ranger and he elite root snares me and my turret heal is down, then I have no way to get out of it and I am dead. Lucky this has only happened a couple times though, and those were hot joins.
This is what I am running currently. IDK if I need to make any changes, I have been thinking about switching out the battle sigil for a doom sigil so that I can apply poison consistently to mitigate healing, but idk.

I disagree about the weapon being a power weapon vs. a condi weapon, but that is entirely another discussion.
I have a question,
Is Incendiary Powder still a must have with the FT after the altering of the trait?
Bump bump bump bump
I think the hammer is a perfect choice due to the nature of the class and the potential for it to be a control weapon focusing on CC and assisting turrets etc.
I am looking for a bomb healer support build for Engi’s to run in support in dungeon runs etc. I am building one myself but want to see what others value in the build versus what I am thinking. My build is posted below, copy/paste etc.
So I am looking at guardians as my next profession and I am curious as to what the best builds are, etc. Right now I am intrigued by condition oriented burning builds, as guardians have massive staying power, and the ability to outlast people while pumping loads of burning on foes is intriguing to me. I have read a few comments of other posts here and there, and the majority though disagree it seems and think conditions on guardians are not worth it. My main is an Engineer, so obviously I am used to playing with conditions, and knowing their effectiveness I am curious as to why Guardians think this way.

Use incendiary powder for extra dps, Sitting duck for my combo, when I hit netshot+analyze 15 stacks of vun for my burst + 5% extra for being in fury due to my sigils, the dps is quite silly.
Been running a SD build, curious to see the differences in others builds vs. my own.

for sPVP, thoughts?
It’s fixed finally?
Post them here.
So basically they didn’t change anything of worth. Good to know.
I heard the Game of Thrones soundtrack play in my head, with Sean Bean’s Ned Stark voice saying, “Nerf is coming.”
Nice ideas, to bad aNet would rather just nerf us instead of help us :P
Guildy of mine has one named Heinrich Hertz.
Another version of the build, this one has higher base DPS with the FT,

An option I have been looking at in replacing cleaning 409 for deadly mixtures, is replacing elixir B with elixir C, so that I still have a wealth of condition removals at my disposal. Med Kit would then replace the healing elixir for the added swiftness and fury.
I am trying to come up with a build that incorporates the FT with solid dps, but at the same time allows for solid defense.

The way might stacks has been changed thus eliminating the HGH build, and static discharge is put on a 5 second CD, thus eliminating the SD build.
What do you do?

So I am looking for the absolute highest burst Static Discharge build. Curious to see the subtle differences between peoples SD builds as well. Post them here!
This is the one I built :P Copy/Paste

If you have both, how do they work together? Since both fire at 25%, and one activates your healing skills at 25%, and the other your tool belt skills, do the override each other?
I have been using Galador’s build recently and I must admit, it is quite promising.
I made 1 small modification. In fire arms I am using VI and VII, not III and VI. I do not feel the need of III since I want to stay in my turret farm. I preffer to burn my enemies for a longer time then being faster inside my tiny turret farm.
Gangstamech’s build is pretty awesome itself. However, It is a lot more mobile and tanky than Galador’s.
Gangstamech’s build will assure that you run fast at all times, can take on multiple targets no problem and that you can take a pimp slap without problem, thanks to the Tool Kit, the Shield’s abilities and XII in Firearms.
Galador’s is a lot more stationary. You set your farm, trap your pray in with your net turret and belt tool then melt them with fire turret, torch, confusion, poison and my favorite, the awesome rocket turret. With this build, I believe that it is important to use the turret traits because there is always that 100b hero or that ele who will crush your turrets to bits quickly. You cannot run fast, without them you’re most likely dead.
My build should already account for a 3 second burn tick on the incendiary powder, 4 seconds on rocket turret, and 3 seconds on the fire turret, idk if your going for longer on the blowtorch or not, but with it you should be pretty close to max.
Pro Tip: Go into hotjoins and scout out the home points, and find areas to place your turrets people wouldn’t think to look. In Temple set your rocket turret up in the rafters, away from any physical contact set your net turret behind the wall post so it can’t be seen when entering, and your flame turret towards the back, always behind you, float around it so your enemy is perma burned, and use the ability to keep them blinded to protect yourself, use your glue shots to keep them trapped, and you should be victorious within a few seconds.
(edited by galandor.1059)
was using it a second ago, idk, maybe it is mega bugged but was testing it against the dummy’s in the sPVP zone and I was putting them on the wall and they were shooting but hitting nothing, was kinda dumb.
Read somewhere that turrets revert back to their old form if used with deployable turrets?
Updated build that I am running currently.

So I have been running this build a bit, and I must say it is performing better than expected. The first thing I have started doing is when camping points I always drop my healing turret immediately so that I can have a steady supply of regen to keep my health ticking upward the entire fight, of course I always pick it up if I see someone coming so that I can have the big heals when I need them. The amount of burning/cc that this build pumps out is silly. I can keep targets without stability perma CC’ed, with the netshot from my toolbelt prior to dropping my turret, the net turret itself, the overcharge netshot stun, the knock down of my rocket turret, the glue shot, and also the stun from my elite, and netshot from my elite. Putting out DPS with this build is not a problem either, I can drop targets to dead within a few seconds with the amount of conditions that I can apply, and the extended duration of burns makes it that much easier. The lack of defense is hardly noticeable given how much CC I am able to pump out, and even when targets are not CC’ed, if needed, I either drop my heal turret for the heal and then detonate to blow them off me, use the flame turret blind overcharge, or detonate the flame turret itself to blow them off me, thus giving me more defense. Given the enemy stays within the radius, which isn’t always guaranteed, you don’t require much time to survive and kill your enemy. The only true weakness of this build I have encountered is heavy condition based classes with high survive ability, and good mobility, but even those, generally they always have to come into the turret farm, and at that point it is a massive DPS contest to see whom can kill whom the fastest, and with the amount of DPS I have at my disposal even in downstate, I generally win. Yes the raw HP of the build is low, but the livability of the build is quite high IMO, given that enemies who wish to attack me, have to come to me, and given the extended range of my rocket launcher, they are being attacked well before they can get anywhere near me, not to mention, being burned to a crisp, and hit with poison darts and confusion spells galore, so the lack of range that I was fearing has not been a worry thus far. So far so good, been tinkering with the traits and sigils a bit, I am fairly happy with the runes though. Will post an updated build later.

100%. There is no doubt in my mind it will be nerfed eventually. It is the best build in the entire game.
People have recently started to cry about it too. Even if it is the hardest build to play in the game, it WILL be nerfed. My only fear is that we’re left like warriors with no other alternatives that remain competitive in tourneys.
This is my biggest fear in that they will nerf us to the point of no return.

sPVP, thoughts?
Yes, I know turrets suck/are not worth it/die easy.
What do you think? Personally, I think the odds are around 65 or 70%.
Wow thanks Drake, been playing a little over a month and still learning the game and my only profession thus far is Engi, and the Mesmer is by far the most frustrating class for me to fight. Learned a lot from your video. Thanks!
