First loss I’ve had was against… uh, the boy and his dog, lol. First time I killed the dog first, but took forever and lost via the clock, second time I killed the master, and his dog one shotted me.

Sounds fun, go for the dog first but you should focus on eating the meat and let your adds do the damage, basically aim for the achievement and you should have no problems in beating the encounter.

To increase the glow, one possible weapon is to buy an ascalonian dungoen weapon, then transmute the sovereign skin to the dungeon weapon.

The method is not 100% reliable. It works on a few legendaries and zenith weapons. Some testing has to be done with sovereign.

Well, too bad. However, a dev with a little imagination could implement a “glow enhancer” item in the gemstore. I think there is a market for such item.

You can buy weapons/armor from dungeon vendors with the following stats to salvage and then gain the inscription:

• Dire (CTV) from CoE.
• Magi’s (HPV) from AC, TA, HotW.
• Rabid (CPT) from CM, TA, HotW, Arah.
• Shaman’s (VCH) from CM.
• Soldier’s (PTV) from AC, SE, HotW.

Saves up some gold and gives use to the dungeon tokens, after crafting the item I simply sell it, easy trick I’m using to level the professions.

You can buy a extraction tool from the gem store that will remove the sigil without destroying you’re weapon.

I’m afraid that depending on the sigil/rune the extraction tool is too expensive to remove them, you’re better off just replacing it in some cases.

I never really got the obsession over new zones all the time. What happens 1 month after this new zone is out? You beg for more. and more. and more. Then the game looks like WoW or Everquest with 15,000 locations to visit/level, with crickets chirping everywhere but the current content. There are many many ways they can improve existing zones first, saving new zones for the rare occasion.

Yeah but I think it’s been more than a year since we got the last one (Southsun), I personally don’t mind if they won’t place any more zones, but the map is so big with so many possibilities that it would be great to see more of it.

I feel like Dragon Bash will happen before the LS2 starts, something wrong will happen at this Dragon Bash just like the last one which will kick in the second season.

Serves them right, if people can’t understand something as simple as:

“Use the bird food to lure them from the boss”

Then they deserve to waste 30 minutes on a boss and have only greens to show for it. Even worse they’re the first ones to ask for a rez, yes I’ll rez you the first few times but after 3 deaths in the same way I just won’t bother.

Aren’t we like… able to hide bags by clicking on them?

I honestly haven’t tried it when all the bags are open, but that’s possible in the “normal” view, does it works the same for this type of view?

Sorry just wondering, why is the game pushing to the gemstore with the Pavillion? I’m aware of the constant promotions about the new items and gems→gold conversion but I can’t see anything related to the store in there.

Do you say it because of the skins? Or due to the “lack” of rewards and thus needing to convert gems to actually gain gold?

Think of it, we’ve been spoiled in this kind of events, remember the Scarlet’s Invasions? There were groups farming Aetherblades all the event, didn’t even cared if the event failed (if it didn’t it was just some extra loot for them).

This should promote that players succeed in the event rather than farm it and fail it.

That’s how I see it, I would like to know if anyone has achieved the gold rewards and if they gained anything “good” because otherwise I see no reason to invest that much time/effort.

Where exactly did you read that I was opposing the return of Liadri (and the mini)? I wasn’t playing at that time and I’m looking forward to beating that (finally a solo, not zerg one!!!) boss very much as I heard a lot about her. And yes, I expect the same difficulty (maybe with some fixing of camera issues and instancing).

I simply commented that most of those “out of hand” factors are excuses from players who have “laggy mouse not working on the sofa”, “slow notebook with bad wi-fi”, “zomg boss too hard to solo I need train oh my donut slipped and I spilled my coffee and hey I got a new tweet!” problems which are clearly not a valid excuse for failing a challenge. Casual players often rage when they face content which is out of their comfort zone – as we can see from the other thread in the same forum.

I rarely have issues with inventory, anything below yellow rarity is salvaged with the copper fed, yellow items are salvaged with this mystic kit, exotics are salvaged with black lion kits…

What’s so special about Liadri? she was a boss made specially for certain classes. I did it second run on my zerker warrior…then i overfarmed her. Easiest boss ever for a zerker warrior. Try it with other classes and things get complicated really fast.

A good boss is not a boss that’s hand-tailored for a select few classes. A good boss is one that all classes have difficulties to beat and have to come up with strategies.

If the stealth on a 240 seconds cd elite is your deciding factor then I would have to say that asuras beat norns fairly easy.

Well how about ratings. Like rating if a Commander is Good or Bad. If they are good then the tag will slowly start to change to a dark colour with the more rankings they get. Basic Commanders or rubbish ones just stay at blue

Not trying to bring down your suggestion but I hardly see this being implemented.

If a commander is bad in a borderland people will eat them alive, so he will eventually tag down. And if he/she doesn’t then people will stop following them, simple as that.

If a commander is bad in EotM… NOBODY cares, EotM is a map in which people only go to farm karma and levels, you can be the worst commander in the borderlands but as long as you are capturing things in EotM nobody cares.

We don’t need to waste time on indicators for bad commanders, that’s easily spot-able as of now, what we need is to improve the tag with actually useful commands.

Why not take a fortress similar to a tower found in WvW and make a survival mode where a party of players have to hold it against increasingly larger numbers of enemies? Siege can be placed, gates and walls repaired and a lord that must be kept alive to keep the game going?

That would actually be fun, have some mode like tower defense and we have a limited number of supplies. We earn more past each round (getting less and less) with some tough boss fights that we might actually participate in.

MMO Tower Defense… would be a funny concept not sure how it will work.

• New activities: Snowball Fight, Bell Choir, Lunatic Inquisition, Reaper’s Rumble, Dragon Ball, Aspect Arena.
• New dungeons: Ascent to Madness, Toypocalypse, Canach’s Lair, SAB.
• New jumping puzzles: Mad King’s Clock Tower.

Permanent:

• New Skins: Most of the ones from previous events are available for BL Trade Tickets, skins from achievements like Hellfire.
• New maps: Southsun Cove.
• New PvP maps: Temple of the Silent Storm, Spirit Watch and Banhammer.
• New bosses: Karka Queen.
• New activities: Crab toss, Moa Racing, Belcher’s Bluff, Sanctum Sprint, Southsun Survival.
• New dungeons: Fractals of the Mist.
• New jumping puzzles: Not so secret, I believe some others came up on Halloween (Mount Maelstrom one?).

• New Crafting Recipes: Halloween recipes, Wintersday recipes, Celestial, etc…
• New Gear: Ascended Equipment plus infusions.
• New miniatures: Tons and tons of them available in the TP (both gems or gold).
• New outfits: From the various events held.
• New currencies: Laurels.
• New toys: Sonic Tunneling, riding brooms, musical instruments.
• New guild missions with the later added bounty targets.
• New WvW abilities.

I’m still missing almost a year of content, actually the temporary content also starts to grow in size but still we have gained a lot of things over this almost 2 years, might not be a “content worth of an expansion” but it’s surely been interesting to keep up with the game. I placed SAB and the Clock Tower on temporary since even if they might be recurring we can’t get there today. Might be missing a few of the content.

There could be new cooking recipes using fish! You could have a chance to fish up some salvageable items! Players will spend money on an Orichalcum Fishing Pole from the NPC! Arenanet could make money on an unlimited use fishing pole through the gem store!

It would be either MF or Karma infusion, since now champions and bosses give gold only from loot boxes you won’t see any big increase in gold with that bonus.

MF if you have millions of karma that won’t be spending anytime soon, Karmic if you tend to use Karma often. I personally go for MF.

Yeah I agree that Celestial would seem to fit we Eles best but I just don’t know if in the Open World PvE environment if it is needed or even the best use of my long time coming Ascended Armor?

Well since you can’t crit some of those bosses the only real stat of value to you is power, previously Celestial was seriously lacking in power in comparison to other stat sets, but I’m not sure if that is still the case with the recent boost they gave it.

However you can always get some food buff for power and still achieve an “acceptable” amount of it. My advice would be to go for Celestial, it’s a good all-rounder set for eles and it might help you if you ever get into Dungeons/WvW.

Go down and beat him up, it seems that he used the terrain in his favor to regain his cooldowns (which thieves do easily). What you need to do is go to where he is and start beating up on him.

If what worries you is that he might go back up again to destroy the treb then slot the portal skill on your build, place the portal before going down and if he goes up cast it, that way you can keep the pressure on him and he won’t be able to reset.

Hope this helps, with thieves it’s basically cleave cleave cleave until they die like the kittenROACHES THEY ARE!!

It’s a bit late but yes, the instance owner can go to character screen (NOT logout) and then enter back in the game with the same character. You can go repair before heading back.

As far as I know it’s additive, for example if you get the traits that adds +10% and +5% damage you will obtain an increase of 15% in damage.

Because they act strangely. You’ll see them going in circles on the same area, attack foes with the same chain of skills, don’t answer you when you ask them for gold/mats…

However it was quite interesting to follow them and see how they fared up with the foes in Orr, most of them times they were able to kill any that they encountered… Well until I lured 5 risen to them >:D

Please give us both options, it was possible to apply this screen before but it got disabled, allow people to use any of which they might prefer

Opened 20 dyes, got 5 enameled dyes (one repeated which I’ll save for later)

It’s just pure random, you can’t expect to have 50% of the dyes being enameled given their chance. I gotta say that I got really lucky having 25% of the dyes being exclusive, BUT sometimes I don’t get a single one from the packs.

It’s frustrating I know, sometimes the frustration pays off and you get what you wanted, but the next time you’ll get frustrated again when the RNG is not in your favor. It’s best to save up the gold and wait until they keep on dropping, they’re expensive but it’s a safer way to get them, I’ll try to do it for the other ones but don’t really have 700g atm xD

It happened this morning.
I don’t know how long the guys waited or filtered the group, but i joined to 2 random guys on lfg for a quick AC run in the morning and the group was soooo good we decided to go trough a lot of paths (full AC and CoE, CoF12, SE13, TAf/u, HotW1) and maaaaan it was beautiful.
It was a long ago when i had a similar experience with randoms, but as the above example shows it can worth your time to filter.

It IS beautiful, constant stacks of 25 might killing bosses before they can even yell “Pick up those scraps, runts! We’ve got effigies to build!”

Speed clearing dungeons gives you a lot of time to do other things

For me this are per dungeon the fastest ones:

• AC: All paths, some are even easier with an elementalist.
• CM: p1 and p3 are very easy (p1 is a must I love that asura =3), p2 is easy but make sure that everyone knows what to do at the bombs part.
• TA: p1 and p2, p3 takes too long to complete, only worth it for the achieves/mini.
• SE: p1 and p3, p2 takes too much time.
• CoF: All paths, seriously p3 might be one of the shortest ones but depends on how fast you can kill the foes on the defend event (but do p1 and p2 primarily).
• HotW: p1 and p3, although for me it seems that this dungeon has the biggest HP sponge bosses of the game.
• CoE: All paths, stupidly easy dungeon with great rewards from trash.
• Arah: P1 and P2, P3 is easy but doesn’t gives much gold for having to kill Lupi.

Actually all paths are very easy, but for me those are some of the shortest ones to complete :P
