I noticed that we’re able to see the join date of a guild member through the API, this is very useful because on my guild we’re planning on providing some incentives based on antiquity, as well as to clear up some debates on who’s the oldest member :P

What I’m trying to call is this:

I went to the wiki and was only able to find the “account” and “offline” scopes, there’s no mention of a “guilds” scope. Is there something that I’m missing for this scope or is that one not available for public use?

I prefer smaller GvG’s… around 8-10 call me nostalgic and if they made it bigger it wouldn’t really affect small GvG’s we would just have more room to run away :P

The whole expansion is on the short side (only 1 pvp map, bad WvW implementation, rushed Tempest spec). The Guild Halls kinda make up for that. It seems to me that the Living Story 2 may have initially been planned as part of the expansion (Silverwaste and Dry Top).

I’m unsure about the delayed stuff. So far with this expansion reviews are going out and there is not a single new dungeon or raid, so that’s a big and important aspect in a MMO where HoT is completely lacking.

We should technically be getting the first raid wing in 1 or 2 weeks, but yeah it’s been pretty underwhelming. I suppose more content HoT related will come with Living Story 3?

But auto-attack works for me just by placing something on top of the left click, the only time it got interrupted was when I got into reaper shroud. I just left the target on the center of the stack and placed something on top of the left click to go afk so no need to personally held it down.

Where can you purchase favor with influence? I don’t see that npc was looking last night.

I don’t remember the name of the NPC, I don’t know about Gilded Hollow but on Lost Precipice check the NPC’s around the main waypoint there’s one that exchanges influence for favor. On the Initiative HQ it’s the last NPC of the left column.

Also I don’t recommend using the 100k influence on the mines to get more aetherium yet, the first cap is 500 and we got it pretty quickly and thus wasting some time of this boost, wait until you get a larger cap to amass it quicker.

I know it’s my fault for being zerker on PvP, but I was walking very calmly to mid in order to capture it “literally no foes or allies on the point” then to my surprise I triggered one of those traps (not sure if there were more stacked) and got insta-downed lol

I would say that served the purpose of the trap, but god kitten even on zerker getting insta-downed with a trap is ridiculous, I would had expected two hits to at least have chance to evade lol

Well I’m going to use my personal experience leveling my guild, so don’t take it as official I don’t know many things about this yet:

Before the expansion we had pretty much everything unlocked, before entering the Guild Initiative HQ I was asked to talk to the lady on the stairs to receive something from her, then we got leveled up to 8 I think.

After that I went in, bought some favor with influence and purchased the extra services (repairs and merchant, which were freaking useless on that tiny office, not sure if applies to GH).

Then we went to claim the GH, started purchasing the upgrades and are currently on level 10 I think, basically you upgrade your GH to gain guild experience, I suppose guild missions help too.

Tip from a seasoned fractal player. Get better. Its not about armor its about knowing what to dodge and the encounter mechanics. Sorry you can’t breeze through it the first week with a greatsword and zerker armor lol. Anet said be prepared to try new armor, utility skills and change traits often. Its actually not kittence you learn.

but… I AM able to breeze through the new content with just my GS and zerker gear, vampiric reaper is so easy to faceroll content with The only thing I changed was adding the trait that auto-activates reaper shroud before receiving a death blow, just in case I get 1 shotted lol

I just have to say: THANK YOU. Only reason all my characters are female is because they look way more bad-kitten in their respective armor suits (nothing sexualized). Who the hell makes the males armor so big and ugly? You should move at 10% movement speed while wearing that. And don’t get me started with the light armor pieces…

To me the challenge in Open World should come from World Bosses, not every single foe that’s on the map. Even if they made foes a bit harder from what they currently are people might just see it as a chore to do gathering or map exploration.

So buff the events and world bosses, but leave trash mobs as they currently are.

Note: This is just in case that someone that’s interested in joining a Spanish guild is looking for one on this forums, since some of the people that have been recruited have told us they don’t visit the Spanish forums and prefer this one. Although a mirror post has been made on those forums

Then it’s the same issue legendary weapons would have at the moment.

I honestly just use some generic encounter sigils/runes for my equipment, but I guess min/maxers would have a problem with this. It’s far easier to have multiple exotic equipments with different sigils/runes than ascended or legendary.

… Halloween is always the same content each year… they just have to “activate” it for the respective week.

That’s like the whole point of repetitive events, turn it on/off when required. At most they could add some other event to it but the base is there.

Only thing I’m looking for of the expansion are guild halls, since we can invite people to the guild’s arena. HOPEFULLY that will work to do some proper GvG.

I believe with time we will begin to see this changes/additions, to give an example with the last balance patch guardians got both a Shout and Signet elite. Probably after HoT we will see something similar for the rest of the skill types.

With the recent change to the pre-purchase of HoT most of us are getting 2 extra character slots. Personally I’m not one of those who asked for an extra character slot, I just want more information about the expansion, but well thank you Anet! I really appreciate it.

The thing is, I currently have 9 character slots (1 for each of the old professions and 1 that I used for key farming). With the previous deal I was going to be getting the extra character slot for my Revenant so it was all perfect for me.

But now I got a character slot that it seems I won’t be using, I really don’t want to make another profession since I’m not much of an altoholic, I just like having each profession available to play with them occasionally. Is there a good way to use this slot that doesn’t involves the one for keys? What do you do with extra slots?

Sounds like the challenging content they were talking about is instanced. I’m going to comfortably guess that the content in question are raids. The raid CDI and them hiring a raid designer makes it a pretty safe bet in my eyes.

I’ve learned to never get my hopes up, otherwise I’ll just end up crying on the corner (kitten you Konami!).

There, oh sorry, well as of now it’s not possible to get those runes from any means unless you use the overpriced extractor.

I’m afraid that you’re better off trashing those items and buying the runes again, reason why I’ll never ever purchase that karma gear (asides for wardrobe looks).

Now, hopefully this might become a suggestion and they will either allow us to salvage the rune only from that gear (making the useless extractor even more useless).

Money from subscriptions is used to develop new dungeons and expand the selection of dungeon related items. So convince your friends to subscribe to the game and their sub money will be used to develop new dungeon content.

Well to be fair, it’s not like the money goes straight to dungeons, and with the look of things it seems that they receive an extremely small part of it.

We’ve hardly seen any new dungeons, aside from the Aetherpath which is totally new, although p3 was sacrificed to the skritt lords for it. And well I think there’s only been like 4 new fractals? Which by the way were kind of recycled content from the Living World.

Like someone above said, it seems like regarding dungeons the game is complete for them.

Just a few remaining questions regarding equipment:
1) Where should i purchase the equipment? In the trading post i see alot of berserker weapons going for around 6g each(i plan to go zerk as it’s quite needed in pve), otherwise i have no clue how many dungeons i would have to run to get them through tokens or other ways to obtain them.
2) Do the runes/sigils actually cost more than the other gear? :O

1) It takes a week to get a complete dungeon set from tokens, depending on how fast you can complete a reward track this may be shortened (tracks provide 240 dungeon tokens, 3 weapons and 1 armor piece).

2) Possibly, depending on the runes/sigils that you want. For example scholar runes will probably consume all of your available gold, still there are some other options that are still “optimal”, ruby orbs are the cheapest one, flame legion runes work for some professions and you get a +7% damage if the target is burning.

Force sigils are great, might be a good investment.

Well it all depends on what you want to do, do you want to gain gold? Reach level 80 with that character? Looking for something fun to do?

tl;dr My advice is: Run dungeons daily, level up in EotM or if you want gear keep doing PvP for reward tracks (try and do the tracks for CoF, CoE or Arah). Then for gear either buy them off with dungeon tokens (mainly armor) or get them from the reward tracks (mainly weapons). end tl;dr

First off do use that level 20 scroll, there’s no reason to waste time leveling 20 levels if you have that.

Secondly, you can do a mix of both. Do run the first dungeon (Ascalon Catacombs) daily and any fast ones you unlock later. Each time you complete an explorable path you’ll gain 70% experience towards the next character level, as well as some gold and dungeon tokens. From there you can go back to EotM for karma train leveling or go back to PvP and work in different paths (since you can gain transmutation charges and even more dungeon tokens/gear from them).

Now regarding gear, the dungeon tokens are a cheap way to gain exotic gear, sadly for berserker gear you have to wait until you can run CoF, CoE or Arah (level 75+ dungeons). Do note that WvW and Karma armor are not salvageable, so if you’re thinking on placing expensive runes on them (which you might later salvage) please refrain to do so. With tokens try to buy the least expensive options, some armor costs 180 tokens while the more “expensive” ones can be picked on the final reward of the track. Don’t bother wasting tokens on weapons, you’ll get many of those while completing the track.

Odd, but still in your pictures it seems like the enemy zerg is coming from the “front door”, that’s the direction everyone is taking to head to the lord.

You only showed pictures of him changing sides between JC, TC and BG. However there’s none of this ability to “change professions”. Well guess we’ll have to wait for the red post :/

I would be fine with them adding a “hard mode,” but ONLY if there is no additional rewards attached to it. There can be zero-point achievements, and there can be titles attached to hard mode completions, but there should not be any bonus MF, any unique drops, any reward unlocks, or unique reward tracks. You should receive no better or additional loot for playing content on hard mode than you would on default.

If you wouldn’t want hard mode without having bonus candy for playing it, then there should not be a hard mode, full stop.

You’re aware that’s impossible, if they add HM without any additional rewards or skins everyone would rage about it. It’s happened before, probably would happen again.

Now what if they give an additional 30 dungeon tokens for completing a HM path? Or an extra rare item for killing a world boss in HM? (Not sure if the proposal counts Teq or Triple Trouble, since they’re already “hard” enough).

Those are not unique rewards, just an incentive to do HM runs.

I don’t have much time to read (currently) all of it, but I would love HM to be in this game.

I believe it would take quite a significant amount of time to update the mobs in every section of the map to HM foes (they don’t have to create new maps for HM shards, but still that’s quite a lot of mobs).

For now I would be happy with HM dungeons, there’s plenty of foes that are on your way and might be easier to program those for team support between them. The ghosts found on AC use GW1-like skills, which already make some of them work as a team.

Now apply that to every dungeon xD

Not useful for anything, besides adding some vanity to your mail. Anyways 500 gems is too much for this item.

And it looks like its both t5 and t6 nodes, so both (still individual unlocks) ori node and mithril and elders and ancient.

Are the nodes sellable? Because if they aren’t we can end up receiving copies of the same nodes, hopefully we can talk with support in order to exchance them >.>
