^ agree, Hotjoin needs to be improved in order to teach players how to actually play, rank limitations won’ to matter as long as they gain those ranks by doing the wrong things and picking up bad habits along the way.

1v1 MM necro is very strong but in competitive play they are very weak.
This is the SPvP forum right? In 5v5 matches a LOT of encounters are 1v1’s.
What serious team uses a MM necro?
They provide very little in a team fight; no support, just a tanky presence and some damage. Many other classes are very good in 1v1 AND offer much more in a team fight such as a hammer longbow warrior.
what teams are left is the question. only team left on NA is GF

Spirits rangers are cancer to the game:

- They educated new/bad players to rely on AI instead of improving. ever since, MM and PU mesmers became a thing…
- Along side necro, they pushed the condi meta everyone hated over the top which caused the game to lose a large part of its community.
- They just add unnecessary clutter to the screen lowering the skill cap of the overall game (can’t do anything but spam AoE since all the pets make it hard to understand whats happening on a fight)
benefits of spirit rangers….
- Gives a sense false sense of accomplishment.
- Keeps a class with horrible class design relevant on at least 1 part of the game (rejected on both PvE, WvW)

22k kill shot? nice photoshop , he not even have 25 stack of power, lots of stack of might. I was trying maaaaaaaax kill shot build in spvp, I even used banner for 15% crit dmg more. u cannot do this dmg in spvp xD

just remove critical hits while your at it. I mean really should a critical hit be able to 100-0 you? Actually no, just remove damage in general, all you should be able to do is dodge and heal. Then we will achieve true balance.

soloQ is not as competitive as teamQ tho.
SoloQ is random, for fun, to pass the time! no strategy or anything requires, juts cross fingers and hope you have synergy with the other 4 random players. ( and no leavers)
Problem with teamQ is not balanced, it’s population size. But over all, it’s way more fun than soloQ. people just need to stop being shy and make friends/starts teams
Ugh, if you’re going to complain about spirit rangers. Please also suggest things that they can improve to make other builds viable.
They would need complete redesign.. This “survival” class is designed around dodging around “surviving” while passives kill the enemies.. you would have to remake traits/utilities and class mechanic to improve ranger
While anet could work more active builds “viable”, AI will always be more effective.. and most rangers will continue to play because free wins is more enjoyable than actually having to play the game

IA builds are deff strong, but they are also not fun. they just give a false sense of accomplishment, turning okay players into better players by letting AI play the game for them. players who are confident they are good will usually play what is fun and enjoyable for them.

mesmer is Anet’s golden baby. if you think about it, guardian and mesmer are the only classes “fully” designed. Every other class just feels rushed and unpolished.
…dishonored is a freaking 24+hr ban from ALL PvP…
last night i saw someone with the dishonored batch. it showed off the time remaining time and it was in hotjoin, so not ban from all pvp

Life is still > games, and sometimes unexpected things happen that you have to deal with. As well as you never know what’s gonna happen, a windows update, power going off, internet signal dropping.. stuff that is out the player’s control happens and boom, you’re suddenly dishonorable….

- On Hotjoin, survival is meaningless so a full condi clear would seem always worthless to a hot joiner
- Basi venom on Hotjoin would seem like a terrible elite because of the zergs. On tPvP/soloQ Basi is the best elite there is
- all booms are sooooo OP when fighting another thief, specially since u can block the others teef opener/Basi… if you play thief, you know how painful aegis on guardian is.
but yea, if it’s Hotjoint. survival is useless, Basi is worthless. anything else they are the best

Down state actually matters. it adds depth to the game, those “3s” that takes to ress someone, are “3s+” where the players ressing, can’t move/cast/dodge/heal. It’s like the perfect trap to burst down group of enemies.
the only thing i will agree on, it is annoying when an entire teams rallies off 1 person, but… if they limit it, then stomp/rally would just become random.
Autodefense bomb dispenser: it’s awesome. the problem is… you need grenadier if you’re taking nades, and everyone takes nades!
but yea, there is nothing wrong with the trait. on PvP it will allow you to get away from stun chains most of the time, and then you can either jumpshot or shield 4 into stealth. its a life saver.. but yea, no grenadier :/
Modified ammo is just bad…… why would anybody give critical dmg or power for unreliable 6-10% more dmg :/
those are skills which require your character to face your target. if ur target moves behind you or you turn. the skill fails and goes on a short CD.

sword #2 it’s one of those rare and interesting skills of the game that added depth. It still does but more than reducing it’s effectiveness, they made it clunky and lass fluid. just because like everything else…. they were lazy about it

Glory won’t be removed anytime soon, so don’ worry. they will be replacing the glory system with a new system sometime well into next year where there should be Alot more rewards.

PvP could have meant to be about “Skill” thus they wanted everyoen to be “Equal”, while WvW more of hang out for casuals and people who wanted to play but not take the game as serious, who knows if they ever expected WvW to be as serious as some people take it.
The ability to teleport out of harm’s way while being stunned was wrong. You can still do that while being immobilized, just sayin.

Don’t forget path of scar hits multiple times, normally at least x3 times wth each hit doing between 2.5-4k dmg. and it may trigger moment of clarity too. it’s really not rare to take away 70%+ of a warriors/necro/ engi hp or to 1 shoot a thief, Mesmer, eles

- Shoot all the pets…. Complicates the game and makes it much harder to understand. Huge price to pay to give some players a false sense of accomplishment.
- Tone down particle effects… the “plays” are being overshadowed by the pretty stuff
- Easier to understand … “Look at all the condis”, " I think someone went down", “did ress spirit die” shouldn’t be the only thing standing out enough for people to notice.
- More diversity… SoloQ is painfully boring to watch and it’s rare to find anyone doing organized TQ, Promote more scrim steams

Just wondering what’s the community opinion on this weapons.
Personally I found out:
- #4 takes skill to land but it’s the ranger’s strongest hitting skill (way harder than maul)
- #5 really awkward to use, but can be effective at times, specially when combined with immobalize/flame trap to shut down ranged DPS from any class.
Wish list:
Axe #5,
- faster activation time (remove precast animation before start reflecting)
- Remove the root

Well Jin, toker is a beast and I’m pretty sure he was 3v1 all match long and winning. and backpack maybe be backpack but he’s still a great skyhammer troll.
Would be tricky, you could purposely create 4v5 by closing ur game and waiting for someone on the opposite team to be kicked out.

The necro heal is not very good and wont get played. You have to actually get hit for it to heal. When you need to heal the last thing you want to do is be hit. This is totally different to why healing signet is strong. Where you can kite away from the battle and heal up.
Necro heal is VERY strong. Cast it, and for 5s, EVERY HIT from allied players does an extra 638 damage. In other words, mark somebody, then have a mesmer cast iDuelest, a thief Unload, an ele cast a scepter auto, engie bombs, etc. on that player, and they will be almost 1-shot. Unless there is an ICD on the life-siphoning, this would essentially be: Passive: hot decently well, Active: kill 1 player.
iDuelist and things of that nature won’t work, the same way Minion Signet-bombing won’t work because it specifies it only triggers from PLAYER allies.
Depends how you look at it, MM are tanky, minions constantly condi clear and heal. a MM necro could easily take this heal and boost their dmg by 350-600 everytime they get hit and pretty much wreck anyone since now not only the other person is taking dmg from the necro, the AI but also from their own attacks. while the necro is … being passive
Ranks won’t be removed anytime soon, just continue to get to 50 and secure your bear!
