its not deleting anyone progress, its actually gives prestige. Vets vs Newer players.
wouldn’t that be a problem tho ? if pets are made smaller, it would be harder to see their animations making pets much more effective.

Big damage + no visual clue = power?When someone is using killshot, he stands still and points his rifle at you for over one second. Pretty hard to tell, huh?
You talk just like they will stand on a point casting that over 1.5 seconds for you to see.
This build is a sniper build. You hide in a corner shooting it.So after the first time the warrior does that, you should have the presence of mind to actually look around and find him. He’s a warrior, not a thief. Use your eyes.

besides, no matter how much people wanna shame others for getting killshoted, its really hard to predict, specially on team fights

Warriors have never been roamers, specially H/Lb that has low mobility
People will continue to use warrior, they still bring a little to much dmg on every spec and unlike most DPS classes, they are able to stand and hold a point
Even on condi builds, They so great at side points as well on team fights and they bring ress utility. warriors aren’t going away
Maybe HS is so strong because of cleansing ire ?
the skill itself is strong because you can stack it with other type of regens, but would it be nearly as effective if the warrior couldn’t clear all condi ( and mitigate all the dmg so effectively )
400 regen alone would be worthless without the constant condi clears, immunity to all damage and ability to disable(CC) for days,
You want Rangers to have fewer evades?
Then give them some active condi-cleansing.

Teleports are just a way thief and Mesmers can mitigate damage, it’s actually a healthy mechanic that promotes active play, targeting and space awareness. After all both classes have really low hp, limited heals and much more limited condi removal. landing a pin down, for a sword 4 = death.
Both classes use cheesy mechanics that aren’t forgiving.

Too hard to predict the meta with all the incoming changes. I was going to say bomb engineers might start getting really annoying but their survivability is getting a slight nerf and their big condi trait is also getting moved deeper into bomb tree.
you mean bomb engi with healing trait ? nah :p on clerics amulets bombs will heal for 240, with 50% that’s only 360 heal on a maxed out healing build, engineer bunkers, ain’t nobody got time for that
I haven’t played in a few days. but i can assure you it has never interrupted before(unless they added it on hot fix on the past 4 days).
I’m sure when it says stop any current animation they refer to movement animations ( walking/running/jumping) but not skill animations
I think i know whats happening tho. do you jump a lot? (space bar). if you do. that might be the problem.
if you get immobilized in mid air, your skills will “bug” out because you can’t use skills on mid air. u can avoid t his by limiting ur jumps

what class did the immobilize?
If it was a Mesmer, he could have been running a troll interrupt build that immobilizes you every time he rupts you.

- an interactive tutorial like the on one Guild Wars. Make them face NPC as the game mechanics/objectives are explained to them.
- Also a r1-20 Arena where players can face players with similar abilities. stomping or getting stomped isn’t fun, even if it hurts Q times by a bit. it will make the game much more enjoyable.
- Making r1-20 more visually accessible to players, right now it feels TQ and SoloQ are hidden compared to Hotjoins. and can easily confuse players into thinking Hotjoins is the real PvP of this game, letting them pick up bad habits as ignoring objectives, zergin and 5 man capping points
It’s the same type of obstacles tho :/ stacked teams still exist. the definition just of stacked just changed from good players to bad players.
they could just taken those 10 people from the old system and shuffle them up. woulda been perfect. but when you take someone with high MMR and Stack him with 4 people just learning the game. how’s the fair?
- A stacked team used to be 3+ great players in a same team.
- A stacked team now is having 2 decent people who know how to rotate.
that isn’t fair for anybody. and i’m sure like myself, everyone just wants to have great matches and fun games, regardless of win or lose. but its difficult with this system. the same players dragging the team down, usually end up rage quitting making it 4v5 on an already losing game.

It’s just frustrating having your team who won’t listen, rotate. Who are always fighting/dying off point, instantly going do and and rallying the enemy team. and regardless of how well you play. you still lose because you’re expected to be expected to carry people who are clueless.
PS: TeamQ is worse. with a pug of decent players you will stomp every other pug, or get stomped by an actual team. over and over because there are so few people doing TQ

DIRECTION OF THE META
Bunker sustain meta coming up.
Predictions
- Warriors will most likely move towards LB/Sx2 Condi builds after H/LB gets nerfed. (They will continue to be broken)
- Most likely the return of D/D eles with something like 0/0/30/10/30 Builds.
- Mesmer will come back as the main burst class of this meta.
- Necromancers will strongly shift towards power well builds after engineers/eles get buffed (No more free food)
- Rangers #’s will decrease by a lot after the spirit nerfs. (doubt BM or trapper will be to viable on the upcoming meta unless pet dmg is greatly increased)
- Thief will slowly fade away. Everything will be prove to be more challenging to kill forcing the average thief to go into faceroll classes.

For ~90% of the PVP population (non leaderboard players) this new match making was good and made games more fun. Hopefully because they are enjoying it more the playerbase as a whole will expand…
However, in the meantime, for remaining veterans… games are cringe worthy. It’s like a basketball game with a mix of highschool and kindergarden players.
This. Sure games are closer, but that doesn’t mean the matchmaking is better or “funner”. For this remaining 10% of the population, every game seems like you are doing a lot (aka carrying), but yet the rest of your team seems to not pull their weight. Ultimately when you get that loss, it’s really, really, REALLY discouraging. I cannot emphasize how really discouraging it is.
Of course, I could just be really bad. But it really does seem like I have a huge weight dropped on to me that I have to tug alongside my own.

To me, winning or losing is not as important as HAVING FUN. as long as i get matched with people who have some logic and general idea of the game, i could care less about having a stacked team.
It’s very frustrating playing with teams who are always fighting off point, dying almost instantly on every fight. and have them be spawn camp unless you baby sit them. all because they have little to no idea to whats going on.
What I want:
- To be matched up with players who have a general idea of how to play the game (and to have some logic )
What I DON’T want:
- Matches to be decided by who has worst players
- To be expected to carry clueless people every game
For some it might feel like better match quality, but that’s just because they are being matched up with players who are winning the games for them, but the strain being put on those players back… is unimaginable.. and that back might very soon break.
Feels like its just taking 2 players with decent MMR, splitting them into the 2 teams and then filling the rest with anyone else regardless of their MMR. so its basically creating teams with a mix of dedicated players who want to PvP and people who are just learning to PvP.
The amount of leaver/afk is absurd, and they are mostly players who stayed off the ladder for those exact same reasons.
Personally, I hate the new matchmaking system. now not only you have to deal with the terrible balance and who’s running the most cheese ( wars, rangers ) but now who has the better noobs. it’s pathetic
Anet is improving the game, but somewhere along the path they forgot how to make it enjoyable

I haven’t heard a single justification for this change that holds any water at all. It downplays the already fairly low need for communication in a team game.
If you think about it, Immobilizing stacking is a great change for PvE, where non-stackable and reduced duration immobilize mean little to nothing against Champs/ Bosses

Let’s be honest watching GvG is 1000x more fun than the boring capture points. If Anet really wants esport that much then they should implemented this. It’s not even that hard to create just make a room and let people fight each other to death.

On top of the no stacking CC, how about adding a 1s stability to all stun breaks
immobilizing stacking is doing wonders in PvE! where immobilize was almost unnoticeable on bosses and champs
you can still earn decent money daily, its a good change imo
tourney chest have nothing of service, a random uni dye, which will most likely contain a common dye worth 60c, at least with this system you can heard some small coin
^^ The point I was trying to make was in solo q without communication/coordination it is a hell of a lot harder to beat a 4 warrior comp. Thus the warrior is better than every other profession becuz atm they are.
That’s not secret tho, right now warriors have the best condi, CC, damage builds and they all have 2 things in common:
- They are all tanks that can hold points
- All they need to do is land 1 skill on you, just 1 and they go from noobs to gw2 professional players
Why don’t you give us more info, like your build, skills you saw on the thief, and a larger view of the damage log. Just showing us two numbera isn’t particularly helpful unless you made this thread to complain rather than to get an answer.
Just warrior in bunker build with lot of toughness. If thief can stab for 9k me, how it’s should damage to berserkers? Bers ele have like 12k hp, he should die instantly.
Man come hit me bunker warrior in sPvP for 9k and i give you 200g

Every class is different tho. a 1.5s stun would seem almost worthless on warrior, but on a teef thats all you really need to kill someone

lovely thing about gw2 shack, you can take a player names, try to find how many games they played (not even ranking), and then decide how serious to take their opinions

Sadly quality seems to haev been reduced for quality, GW2 hasn’t rewarded player skills on any aspect of the game for a while now, they have been focused on making the game as easy as possible. It seems Anet is focusing all their resources on making the game as casual as possible instead of taking advantage of its full potential

people whine about evades from weapon skills spam, and immobilize does not deal address that.
thinking about it, immobilize stacking is not even a PvP related change, it was probably done for PvE since immobilizes meant nothing on bosses and champs, since it would get replaced and cleared instantly
Immobilize is a dumb idea and a desperate attempt to make aura share teefs viable, which ultimately makes the game much less enjoyable as well as reducing the skill cap over all.
GG for another amazing balance patch, ps: is it me or every-time karl balances something, the games breaks ?

is not that builds, are bad.. they just get outplayed by the braindead spam spam builds anet keeps creating so players aren’t required to know how to play the game.
sword on engi seems like a meh idea… but, i really really like ur idea!!
