Simin first uses her heal at 50% however there after she uses it based on a cooldown it’s your job to kill her before she hides a second time, and yes it’s possible.
Bring warriors with greatswords, you want have any issues with dmg.

I thought she stealths on random timer. At least those are my feelings after fightning her few times. Sometimes its 10s, sometimes 20s.

My team could also have wiped 8 times. Firsttimers in arah, you can expect this sort of outcome. Doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try different tactics.

I knew this would happen eventually since day 1. The idea of fractioning community, inability to rejoin after dc, inability to play with your alts, inability to cross server unless from overflow and everpresent RNG. Those are major issues with fractals as of this moment.

Yesterday I took 4 firsttimers. I explained to them what to do. We didn’t have to kill grubs except the one that spawns during transition to phase 2.

My method is at the start we all stack on top of each other and ranged DPS the boss while two sit with melee weapons on and kill any grubs that spawn on us. I figured this was standard practice. Once again, as I have said, you need to watch his hands and mouth after this point. killing grubs isn’t the whole fight. He uses his hands and mouth for attacks as mentioned above.

This standard practice is less efficient because only 3 people attack lupi. Why not get those 2 people to attack lupi in melee? It’s a bit more dangerous because his kicks but it’s more fun this way (and faster).

As in:

• Watch. Watch his movements. His hands in particular, and his face.

At the start, assign people to grubs.
I usually assign myself ( guardian) and another class with weak ranged damage.

When I say watch, I mean for the entire duration of the fight, not just when you have people assigned to grubs. Once you have grubs down and he’s into his next phase, watch him. Not sure what you’re thinking, but even with all grubs killed and no empowerment you still need to watch this boss and his actions for the entire duration of the fight or you will die…You wouldn’t do this fight with your camera pointed away the whole time.

Phase 2, he will shadowstep, you need to watch for that and be ready to dodge. He will then turn towards the target he stepped to and spit, you need to be able to see when he does that, thus watching him.

Phase 3 he will lock on to a person and dome them, he will lock on to a person and spit, he will lock onto a person and with his hands, splatter them with goop, and with his mouth he will suck the life out of a person.. All things you can watch for and avoid.

I’m asking you why would you assign people for grubs if those people had been watching his hand.

When you calculate time with percent, it’s a bit different. It’s not bugged.

If I understand correctly, you supposed to be able beat challenges with tools that the game provides you. It doesn’t have VOIP function, so you must be able to run third path using only text chat.

one can organize even without VOIP. It just a matter of how well can you coordinate with your teammates. And plz the argument i will not use VOIP because it is not an ingame tool is a not a strong one.

I’ve done it with complete random people without voip. So it’s quite possible.

I know that there are exotics with similiar situation, but every single dungeon weapon except arah ones has an unique icon. Every single armour without exception got an unique icon.

Yes, it can stop his aoe attack, but you need to watch where you stand after throwing it down. Once I drop WoR I stand almost inside of it because if you stand too far back the ones that go over the wall and land behind can hit you. Also, Shield of Absorption and Shield of the Avenger might be worth trying out. Both can help block his attacks.

Also, using WoR on his rapid fire attack in stage three is pretty fun and does a lot of damage.

His aoe attack in stage 2 comes in at an angle so if you’re standing infront of the red circle you can still be hit by it.

Well, I’m usually using shield#5 for AoE immunity. Also the trait V in honor line helps sometimes.

ive done path 3 twice, it’s certainly not something you’d want to do a lot considering how easy path 1 & 2 are.

but I found it far more fun than any coe path.

full clerics guardian, and 2 healing warriors and 2 glass dps. both times did the waves without any deaths. I know people in my guild had issues with the waves when they tried it with 5 glass

If your team lacks dps for magg’s defend event, I’d consider doing path 3, it’s really easy if you got voip and even faceroll if you got ash kits.

The AOE circles are the end spot of a lot of projectiles he launches. They will hit you if you are inside the circles and also if you are in their trajectory, so the easiest way to avoid them is moving further away.
Wall of Reflection eases it a lot on a Guardian, so using the reflective bubble the mesmer has as soon as the circles appear could do wonders.

Since I never use WoR during lupi fight, can it stop the aoe (because I know it can stop his single projectiles) and if yes, do you have to stay precisily at the location of WoR?

No, I’m talking about normal runs. With time you will get experience to beat him consistently on the first attempt in 5 minutes (assuming you got some dps, unlike most pugs which use tanks/bunkers builds)

Do paths 2 and 3. Good teams can clear them in 20-25 minutes (p3) and 30-40 minutes (p2).

I know that with all those bugs hovering around dungeons and fractals it’s a bit silly to ask for it, but is there any chance that arah weapons would get unique icons, like the rest of dungeons weapons? Because right now, they are the only one which look like typical common drops from mobs.

I killed her with this new fix. You need to run sparks pretty fast.

Yes it does. If you can’t do enough damage in X amount of time and kill the golem you will be overrun. If a player sacrifices DPS for gimmicks or stacks 1400 healing or uses all clerics/knights or something like that then their their DPS is going to be terrible and the support/defense benefits they get in return won’t be enough to counter the extra waves of inquest.

Most people fail path 1 because they are some combo of not geared, are using a gimmick spec or a bunker build or something else that neuters their DPS. It isn’t like CoF where you can spec/gear anything you want to faceroll to victory.

They stack the poorest scaling stats in the game and assume their build is solid when in reality it has poor DPS, they get overrun by the waves and then they complain about how SE 1 is impossible.

Most people I know use soldier’s gear (p/v/t) making them much less efficient than let’s say people in zerker’s or knight’s.

This fight goes like that, it’s not a bug. After killing one ghost she appears to revive them, then you need to dps her down. Rinse and repeat.

For exemple we cant see in fight khoeler animation casting move,because of all effects of skills and combos spamm message + damage ect. (Its not as clear as in GW1,most of the time we cannot see exactly what damage we do,receive ect.)

You really have some issues with people soloing some bosses? It’s not like the masses are doing that, just some inviduals. I soloed few bosses and it isn’t really something anet should look into because it’s only done for challenge. Also, you can do that on your glorious necro. I have a friend playing one who isn’t mega-super-skill0rz yet he can handle lupicus alone just fine in phase 2 and 3. With a bit of a practice he could do that.

If you open your map in LA in overflow, than yes, a lot of them will be contested. But that’s because the map will show you overflow version of other areas which don’t mirror actual situation.

To lazy to read through to see if this is posted or not, but it was just being done on me and seems buggy.

An ele was casting the big Earth AoE on me the that does 9 stacks of bleed, anyway I would dodge out if it he would use lightning flash to port to me and have the AoE follow and cast on me.

I would think casting lightning flash would cancel the cast of the AoE instead of moving it with the ele…

Anyway if this is working as intended it seems OP for an already powerful AoE

It’s working as intended. Not like you can’t dodge based on timing or interrupt 3s long charge.

dps “tactic” doesn’t work anymore, so it’s not about dps anymore. You should try 4-1 tactic described by Lorana earlier or maybe try 5 people running spark.

Either you have extremely good luck with first timers, or I have extremely bad luck: every time I bring newbies, it’s 3 hours of death that lead to the newbies getting frustrated and leaving the group.

After, like, 5 or 6 attempts, I’ve given up and don’t go to Arah unless all the group knows what they are getting themselves into. As a result, I don’t run Arah anymore, because it seems experienced people are now doing something else.

Really! I’ve spent the past 2 weeks trying to form a decent group, and with no success…. i was about to quit the game when I decided to create an alt and found some life again… but something needs to be done to get people into Arah again.

If you have problems with lupicus, because I assume that would be difficult part for firsttimers, you just need 1 experienced person who will get most of the aggro. And for some reason, I’m usually that person (on different proffesions with different toughness/damage/whatever aggro mechanics).

He resets very rarely, happened to me once in about 60+ arah runs (excluding the situation when someone used stealth).

Grub buff is supposed to last that long. It’s like an aegis. It should lasts indefinitely. Also, he always spawn grub during transition to phase 2. You should either ignore that grub or try to kill it. But don’t do that if you gonna wipe.

Dungeon reward is arah armour/weapon. You might obviously get them by doing those speedruns but that would require about 460 runs assuming you will always get 3 tokens (which isn’t the case).

With decent, experienced team you can do path 2 in 30-40 minutes and path 3 in 20-30 minutes. It isn’t really that long.

I heard its like that since newest patch. A friend told me. The question is, why she stealths at all now, while getting invulnerability now.

Ye was a bit before the shardrun exploded. Still, i was playing the entire content during that period too, leading the shardfarm group to continue, reassuring them there was more fun later. Some discovered lupicus and how hard that fight would be ( no wp tricks was know). Some of them was talented players, we beated lupicus plently times, commenting “jeez i didn’t knew about this boss i was just shardfarming, so fun”.
Old good days now gone.
And yes, kholer is easy and fast, most pug skip it because they know they are just a fail at him hiding after a finger " i don’t have time for it".

Well, whenever I enter the instance first, I will lure the kholer to my pug so they have to fight him

Not mentioning the completition bug, now you know why arah armors are rare, and who wear a complete set ( not exploited) is a worthy one. Master the entire arah content is not something for everyone, nor a random pug of DE zergs.

You keep saying like arah is difficult dungeon. I’ve been taking 4 firsttimers a lot of times and it wasn’t exactly superhard.

Arah needs a lot of fixes. Path 1 lacks waypoint after tar boss (which somehow spawns during path 3), buggy npc during last boss. You can glitch alphard in path 2 for faceroll fight and you might not get credits for path 2 similiar to path 1 (last boss won’t turn to be enemy). Path 3 doesn’t have many bugs. Path 4 – buggy aggro of sparks. Problem with the last boss as well.

Ye, generation. Prelaunch players wasn’t using any skipall/cheat/exploits. Wasn’t popular at all, people was actually “playing” the content. The 3 months later player is just an exploiter. And an old school player is a boring whiner, kicked or shush and exploit/skip all with others.

Pretty bold statement. I remember how almost every pug I played with wanted to skip this and this. Lets not forget about cof speedrun and arah shard runs.

Back to the topic, Kholer takes about 2 minutes max for average pug I’ve been in. And he drops some money, karma plus silver. There’s really no reason to skip him now.

3) Use staff to stun him when he summons them.

You seriously need experience, dungs aren’t open world pve. After a while they’re super easy.

You can skip him or you can use the staff of undead (?) that lies near him to stun him when he tries to rez adds. I know, shocking, using something devs put there.

Just curious, she stealths and gets invulnerability now? Because it’s seems like a lousy fix. Why does she stealth at all if she got invulnerability?

We need bosses like lupi. Maybe rewards harder/longer paths with more tokens. Nothing really else. Oh, and the most important thing:

DO NOT MAKE THEM LIKE FRACTALS. Leave fractals for fractals fans and dungeons for dungeons fans. Simple as that. No need to duplicate systems.

We’re always working on ways to keep people from trolling and exploiting others. We recently made it so that the party leader can’t leave the group and kick everyone out without his instance being destroyed, so this is just the latest iteration in people trying to abuse other people. I will alert our programmers to this if they are already not aware.

Well, the newest iteration will kick the leader even if the last person leaves, which is pretty strange. It might be annoying if all your party members just resign from continuing and you’d want to invite others. It’s now impossible.
