… Lots of people use bloodlust. Its fantastic if you can get up lots of stacks early on.
List the dungeons where you get 18+ stacks early on and you never have to swap weapons.
I presume Hotw:S and CoE:S will be fixed in time for the tournament, but if not they will ofcourse be removed from the path selection rolls.
They will be replaced on the chart with more chances to roll Aetherpath =D

I’d rather see ANet discuss these things with players before running in and implementing a solution that is no better than it was before.
Instead, these decisions are made behind closed doors with 0 community involvement. Is it any wonder that the results don’t jive with what the community wants?
You had your chance during the Dungeon CDI. Oh wait…
In Ascalon Catacombs all reward chests are missing for me now. I do the story and the chests are shown on the minimap but do not spawn at that location…..
Are you sure you hadn’t already run that path since reset? This exact behavior is seen when running the same path twice in one server-day (chests are considered daily rewards).
This happened to me in Arah last night, and I definitely hadn’t done the paths since reset. When I do chests in other paths instead of being labeled “splendid chest” or whatever they are, they are labeled “unknown.” Buggy release, to say the least.
Using signet of fury is a huge decrease in precision, and a dps loss. You could use healing surge right before entering combat for fights where you won’t need your heal. Don’t cast it in combat, it’s also a dps loss.
Without Signet of Fury, I’m at 52% crit (with over 70% with fury boon), so the gain in crit chance through the passive isn’t as affective, right?. Signet Mastery puts the cooldown of Signet of Fury to 24 seconds, faster than For Greater Justice. Using FGS or Signet of Rage for fury and might boons, then Signet of Fury for full adrenaline at the beginning of a fight… doesn’t that work out well with Berserker’s Power?
1. Why not use Healing Surge instead of activating Signet of Fury, and suffer no DPS loss?
2. Why are people complaining about this now? Most fights they started in pve before the adrenaline decay were at low adrenaline so this isn’t that big a change. the only difference is now people are conscious of it.
I really think its not quite as relevant as people assume it is.
It’s pointless for the same reason nobody uses Bloodlust sigils for any other purpose than timed boss solos. I didn’t think that needed to be explained really.
If all you do is setpiece times boss solos corruption is good. If you just want to solo dungeons its beyond pointless.
Absolutely nothing has changed in PvE in regards to adrenaline or Berserker’s Power.
No Giver’s staff on your Mesmer? FAILLLLLLLLLLL.
Warrior build doesn’t need Burst Master, you could change to banner cool down for 100% Banner of Strength uptime. Would also suggest Giver’s Longbow with Agony sigil to give max burning uptime so you can camp sword harder.
Permanent bank access express. Permanent TP express. Problem solved.
Rush = 1.7 coefficient
Arcing Slice below 50% = 1.8 coefficient
Remember all the BHB’s who said this change was compensation for the 100b and WWA nerf?
Yeah.
I hate it when people decide to play games with words to deny inflation when we all see inflation happening.
Prices go up and own, but an across the board increase in prices (due to inadequate Gold sinks as one cause) is here and has been here ever since the patch one year ago that introduced champion bags.
Pick an index of Representative goods and track it and that will show you where inflation is happening. Money moves from one place to another all the time but a spread out index ought to tell you the whole truth.
Green Items – Way up since last year
White/Blue items – Way up since last year
Gems – Way up since last year
Ectos – Gradually moving up
Precursors – up since last year
Crafting Costs – Way up since last year (despite fewer people crafting)Pick a representative index
Who cares about nominal price when what really matters is the purchasing power of gameplay time?
This game is easy… get over it. You can try to glam up the game with “speed runs” but at least be honest. It takes all of 24 hours to learn all the dungeons if you are a slow learner.
The Guild Wars 2 community just encompasses some of the worst MMO players (technically speaking, not regarding personality) I have seen to date. Ironic when Guild Wars 1 had some of the best I had seen.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/dungeons/Announcing-Fall-2014-Dungeon-Speed-Clear-Open
I’m sure you and 4 friends could practice for 24 hours, and earn yourselves 2000g+. Easy pickings, right?
Honestly if you’re a warrior and you have to pay someone to solo lupi for you so you can sell the path you really should feel ashamed. That’s embarrassing completely undignified. The unfortunate thing is someone with that little sense of shame likely is completely unphased by their own cringe-worthy behavior.
AS will be 2.6
AS should do around 90% of the damage an Eviscerate, except in full AoE.
I could potentially hit harder than them based on Weapon Strength (GS is higher than axe and sword), however I haven’t done those calculations.
Think of AS like a 5 target Final Thrust with a bigger AoE or an Eviscerate that doesn’t require more than 1 bar of adrenaline to deal max damage.
It will hit almost exactly as hard as Eviscerate. Greatsword has a higher weapon strength and with Slashing Power vs Dual Wielding it will have an additional 5% dps advantage. When I calculated the damage of the two skills the differences were less than 100 total damage.
The big advantage of arcing slice is that it doesn’t require full adrenaline to be effective. Meaning you can potentially spam it on cool down for better dps than if you spammed Eviscerate on cool down.
re: Deep Strikes vs Rending Strikes
Also, people should remember there is a thing called “price memory” and “sticky prices.” Those are the technical terms for the vernacular “new normal.” When Dusk surges to 1500g and stays there due to increased demand the “price memory” becomes 1500 even as demand subsides because people view that as the “normal price” and are loathe to sell for less and buyers come to think of it as a fair price to pay. This explains at least in part why the price of precursors don’t decrease quickly after the warbrobe demand shock.
If you’re talking WvW Celestial is pretty bad, but Celestial Amulet in PvP is very nearly broken in power level and is pretty much the go-to amulet for warrior.
To quote myself, “after the feature patch the only professions with lower DPS than warrior will be Necro and Mesmer.” No further nerfs are necessary or good. Middle tier DPS will become bottom tier and let’s leave it at that.
Patch hasn’t dropped yet bro.. there is no way you could even remotely make those predictions. But regardless, I still don’t necessarilly look at this as a nerf to Warriors Damage with greatsword.
We can only speculate at this point but our burst ability is getting a fix. I still predict the adrenaline nerf will affect your dps much more than the change to hundred blades.
What do you think we don’t know? We know what the nerf to the greatsword damage is. We know what the new Arcing Slice coefficient and cast time is. So the question is what don’t you think we have figured out?
To quote myself, “after the feature patch the only professions with lower DPS than warrior will be Necro and Mesmer.” No further nerfs are necessary or good. Middle tier DPS will become bottom tier and let’s leave it at that.
After the feature patch the only professions with lower DPS than the warrior will be Necro and Mesmer. No one acquainted with that fact is interested in nerfing warrior DPS further.
So basically your post, Vox, boils down to, “lul pve easy pvp is where good players are top kek”
The best in slot armour for archeAge is craftable.
That contradicts what I said how? Best in slot armor with good crafting procs requires dozens of attempts and requires mountains of Archeum. Have fun.
and more stealth exploits
Stealth = exploit
Might stacking = exploit
Warrior banners = exploit
wall of reflect = exploit
feedback = exploit
time warp = exploit
vuln on explosions = exploit
Frost spirit = exploit
Have I covered everything?
As a solo player, Miku, you’ll love Archeage. Nothing like a game where you have marshal the entire efforts of a 100 man guild for a month to get one set of end game armor with the right stats. Enjoy! ( ?° ?? ?°)
To add to the latency discussion, anything under 300 ping is superb for me. Anything over 400 and it becomes very irritating and difficult to time things properly.
NA servers and low ping are only 1800 gems away.
The majority of players in gw2 are warriors. If there is something wrong with what Anet will implement it is bound to get fixed as quick as possible.
What sort of proof do have to back up either of those statements?
Three weeks left in registration and 6 teams signed up so far.
Prize Splits will be as follows
Winning team = 2k gems for the 5 players + 1/2 of the total gold pool.
Second Place = 800 gems for the 5 players + 1/2 of the remaining gold pool.
Third and Fourth Place = 1/2 of the remaining gold pool.
So with today’s prize pool (assuming it will continue to rise before the tournament starts) the break down is as follows…
1st: 2,092.50 gold
2nd: 1,046.25 gold
3rd and 4th: 523.13 gold
Nice. How long until we get a Mace+Sword / Mace+Shield Warrior solo?
And as for the tourney I really hope to see more variation in the party comps than last time.
Be the change you wish to see in the world.
No, PVE players associates 5% damage reduction from one skill as a 5% damage nerf to DPS
The first 8 hits of 100b and 4 hits of WWA represent about 51% of a pve warrior’s coefficients every 30 seconds, so this nerf is more or less a 2.55% dps nerf over all. So instead of assuming what you think pve players associate, why not find out?
I deal less damage with hundred blades but a harder hitting burst skill… there fixt for you.
The harder hitting burst skill isn’t relevant in almost any instanced pve. It’s only a dps increase, (and a 1.3% dps increase at that) if you can land it twice against a boss at the below 50% threshold before it dies. This might be relevant in fractals, but hardly ever in dungeons. Either way, it’s a net loss for warriors in pve.
How does nerfing a useless PvP skill to fix broken BURST skill bad for PvP or WvW? This change won’t even be noticed in PvE at all
Because greatsword pretty much sucks in tpvp, and adding this burst skill buff won’t make it meta for a variety of reasons. So the change is irrelevant in pvp, and a nerf in pve and probably irrelevant in wvw too. It seems like a net loss.
I think you will see some variation in team comps, though I expect…
1. Every team will still have a warrior.
2. Every team will have a guardian or mesmer depending on the path
3. Every team will likely have a thief if its a path where stealth is a benefit.
4. Most teams will have a scepter/* ele for might.
5. So that leaves one wild card that could be anything and I have a hunch a lot of people will still go with a second ele even if plenty of other options are viable.
In high level fractals, that 170 toughness won’t do anything to help when a person in PVT gear with nearly double the armor rating gets two shot (if not one) with very little health left after the first hit.
I just went into lv49 with pvt stuff (can’t survive agony ticks on lv50) and ye.. these 1-2k hits from mossman do hurt a lot.
Or what high level are you speaking of? And how do i get access to it?
Don’t get hit
If I remember correctly, in one of Obal’s videos he mentions that his build (20/25/0/0/25) for guardian does more damage with cleric’s than AH build does with full zerker. That’s how bad AH is…
that would be wrong, you probably remember incorrectly.
AH (provided the other 40 points arent dud) with zerker does substantially more than clerics with any trait setup. People (not obal) forget that the valor line provides crit damage.
What you lose by taking AH with berserker gear, is your support traits.

So how did this turn from a ‘’How do we kill the ghost eater’’ thread to ‘’Lets bash a group that wiped with 4x FGS’’ thread?
“Elitists”.
More like casuals!
I’m still waiting for a video of people killing that boss purely by running the bolts back into him (not allowed to block/reflect/tank any!)
Wiping while using (casual) FGS strats is kind of inexcusable imo
I know maybe 2-3 players who can actually play ranger consistently at an acceptable level. Most rangers running sword/horn just end up not pulling their expected DPS and/or just eat every second hit.
full clerics, mace/shield + staff, 0/0/30/30/10
have fun!
Bad traits for a clerics guaridan. AH is useless and not needed. 0/0/10/30//30, 0/0/20/30/20, 0/15/10/20/20, all are much better.
DPS Guard>Rest, but maxheal/support cleric>useless AH Egomanic guard.BTW: Healingpower ist useless without perma protection, Hammer is a must have.
dont be so elitist against my build please !
full clerics, mace/shield + staff, 0/0/30/30/10
have fun!
The reflected ones are duds
Reading the first page of this thread made me giggle a bit
5 warriors is best DPS. Anyone who disagrees just doesn’t want warriors to get nerfed.
I even had a screen of a 3 billion damage “One Shot” to Lupicus.
<- Lupicus (solo) world record holder.
Go figure.
How :o
Top secret charr technology (I guess it’s charr technology o.O)
Introduce (bring back) larger party size instances (8-12), make the team get kicked out of the instance on wipe, have a normal and an extra difficulty setting. I miss Deep/Urgoz so much
YAY WE HAVE END GAME CONTENT
LETS DO IT AGAIN!
I sound so bored in that video

When I was refering to leechers being on both sides, I was refering to the speedrunners as a whole. In truth, leecher only likely exist in the casual speedrunners. Meta speedrunners will hopefully kick them and the other group won’t give them what they want.
By definition, ‘leechers’ exist in every group. They’re the players who are anchoring the group, by not pulling as much weight as the rest of the team. The difference lies in which ‘group’ cares the most about leechers. Play how you want groups probably won’t care too much, casual gold farm groups care too much, and the best groups are pretty quick to bench their anchors (hence why they’re the best).
I don’t see why people feel the need to troll these threads all the time. Just let them find out themselves what the number is like, regarding people wanting to do runs like these.
