All issues can be worked out if the end user is willing to deal with the ISP. Even if that connection is going across the sea.

It has to do with route maps between your ISP and the Gw2 Server farms. with dynamic routing like BGP/OSPF stuff will change on the fly. Just cause your buddy thats on FiOS had bad connections in Jan doesnt mean it couldnt have been fixed with a call into the ISP with a ping/traceroute map to the destination.

its going to depend on your play style and if you want AOE or not.
So give a little speech about what you expect/want and then advice will come rolling in.

It wasn’t said, but the Level 80 Exotics from Orr are 42,000 Kara a PIECE.
There are also nice weapon skins that are about 63,000 Karma a PIECE (peacekeepers for example).

So yea, save it until 80, as it will go pretty quick as soon as you hit the level.

thx for answers ..I’m a busy person job+kid ^^ almost 80% of my time ..so im kinda into dungeon-wvw-spvp person ..i want something to be “smooth” .. thx alot

IMHO, it would go Mesmer > Elementalist > Ranger

Mesmers are alot more fun (due to ease of play) then the Ranger. Ranger is dull cause of the pet + Bows (Point and shoot and use a heavy attack every now and then…stuff dies) and Ele is more in the middle cause they can go either way.

Dagger/dagger brings complex to the Ele, Big time. While Staff makes it alot more simple. But Ele’s cannot weapon Swap, Both ranger/Mes can.

sPvP/WvW I would go Mes/Ranger>Ele (depending on what you want out of it..my Ele seems to die alot more often then Mes) I would still pick Mes over Ranger in this category.

But IMHO over all Mes is a better played Class, has high burst damage, can pair or go Condition, has high mobility, and is really survivable.

You can’t compare this game or any game to Runescape. Runescape has the most content out of any game I’ve ever experienced, and that was when I played back from 2001-2006.

However, coming from GW1 for 7 years I also knew exactly what to expect from this game. You have to come into the Guild Wars universe with a sandbox mentality. GW is a game of experimentation and individuality. The “end game” is a personal experience, not a meta achievement.

In a Truely crafted MMO there is no ‘End Game’. The game just repeats itself at that point, and thats what the current GW2 is..100% repetition.

Starting with GW2 i would like to stop seeing/using the term End Game. Gw2 is a dynamic world (first of its kind in MMO verse), so ideally there should never be an ‘end game’.

There is plenty for you to do. FoTM for example, go after those Ascended Accessories. With the new Bazaar release you can now Craft Ascended Stated Exotics if you are 400 Crafting in the required discipline. Both of those will take care of your item/gear fancy for a while. (I am currently working on FoTM after coming to the same conclusions as you…what else is there once you completed the current stage of the living story?!)

Other then the daily chests from the Dragons and such there is no ‘raids’ in this game, this for me is a huge issue. I think there should be an instance that lasts a week inbetween resets that is bound to your guild. Kinda like Kharazan(also one of my fav WoW raids), But geared and played more like old school Everquest Raids (such as Temple of Veeshan), No Keying/attunements, but you need to kill XYZ boss or complete ABC Event to continue to the next section/wing of the Raid/Dung. but the key is more then 6 Players in the instance, enough to fullfill a healthy guild roster.

However, other then Ascended and Ascended Like Exotics, GW2 is nothing more then a fashion show for the most part. Harder to get gear doesnt have better stats, just looks nicer (in MOST cases). And the whole ‘risk vs reward’ just isnt there in the game. Anything is achivable with little to no issues (if you can Jump correctly in most cases), so thats the other thing we miss here, progression. And its something that is lacking seriously in this open world MMO.

With out the above being added in or a form of the above added in, I dont see this MMO lasting for more then a couple years at best. Im talking from EQ, EQ2, WoW(up to WoTK), and LOTRO experiences (1998-current). While this game brings alot to the table the previous were lacking (such as player segregation, I HATED THAT), its also lacking in serious player development for groups/guilds.

1385 – Mesmer 20K HP
1793 – Guardian 20.5k HP
1438 – Elementalist – 15.5K HP

Can someone help me understand the above findings?
The goal is to run 6/6 Sent Gear for WvW with the idea of survival. On my Mes and Guard it works perfectly. 20K HP 3000~ Attack, 35-40% Crit, 53-58% Crit damage, But on my Elementalist it fails miserably. Why?

Guard is the only one running a Healing Tree so thats where 300 Vit comes from for the biggest difference, but why is my Ele ahead of the Mesmer in Vit but missing 5k HP?

Raids, Guild based Dynamic Content

in Suggestions

Posted by: ikereid.4637

ikereid.4637

Short of getting a Legendary I feel that there is little left in GW2’s world for me. So here are some of the things I would like to see added to the game.

Raids – With the player base size I feel that old Everquest style raids could be adapted here. Instanced zones that can host 80 players, ending with a giant series of boss events, or a single super boss…ect. Rewards would be adjusted vs the risk involved. (Something along those lines). But, make it so these types of events are singular per character or maybe account and lead to a series of other ‘like’ events.

I want content with more then 5 players in it. And no, World dyanmic events do not fall into my category for this.

Guild based dynamic story mode – I think it would be nice for a guild to have a goal more so then chasing down criminals, doing racing, or just collecting Influence. It would be nice to see guild base story events put into place, but Linnear with progression FOR THE GUILD. Have it so that the world around the guild reacts differently based on the choices made during the interactions of its story. Give GUILDS something more ‘home grown’ to work twards.

Character Progression – Other then the personal story line, there is no progression really in the game. Any character can power level to 80, and buy a full exotic set of gear from the TP and be maxed out on stats and ready to do ‘anything’ in less then 16 hours. While that is good for players that just want to power through it, it makes the game very boring when you do that a couple times, work out your players skins, and wear your self out on the dynamic events/dungeons(for what at this point) and such. So lets add some progression to the game. But not so that it creats a rift between those that want progression and those that don’t. (such as the stats on Ascended vs Exotic gear…lets not do that here.)

But, I’ll be honest here, with the latest release of the sky pirates and the line up of the achievements(which are soo lame this run around), I cannot see myself still playing GW2 in its current state when the end of summer gets here. There just isn’t enough ‘change’ that would revolve around my characters to be to keep interested, beyond what I currently do in the game. And the fact is, I know many other players that have the same feelings right now.

Guild wars2 is supposed to be cutting edge in the MMO Genere, please so this to us.

I do appreciate that Anet is working to give its customer/user base a lot more dynamic content fluidly. But at the same time I keep on looking for several of the broken things that have yet to be properly fixed.

1. Blocked Player list – Effectively broken as blocked players can still see you as online. With it like this, what is the point of it. Blocked = invisible to those you block, period

2. Right click disable…really, disable the ENTIRE right Click Interaction?! rather then just strip targeting off of its control set? Now I am forced to go around and hit F instead of right clicking to…repair, or interact with a portal, or vendor trash off…This needs to be looked at again as it wasn’t implemented correctly.

3. there are still severe targeting issues. Ill dodge roll, lose my current target and then auto target on attack the mob that is 900-1200 yards away. Auto Targeting should be proximity based, THEN Directional. Not just random whatever the AI feels like having you attack.

4. I do not like how your achievement points are open to the general public. I have over 3k Achievement points, but some of the players i group with have 1500-2500. Ill start a CoF or Arah group with one or 2 of these players, using the lfg.com website. Ill get 2-3 random players, they will see these achievement scores being lower then 3k and vote to kick. Its causing a rift between the elitists and the player who don’t play by a ‘point’ system. This needs to be hidden from other players. Its just as bad as the moron players who demand you link your entire gear line to do a 6 minute CoF run. This was NOT how Guildwars2 was supposed to be. That is how WoW was.

There are a few more, but these are the ones that irritate me while playing this game, day to day.

2h:15m to 3hr = 10% MF, 15% Gold Boost
3h:15m to 4hr = 20% MF, 35% Gold Boost
4h:15m to 5hr = 35% MF, 50% Gold Boost <— I would say this is the average that Mobs Live
6h:15m to 7hr = 55% MF, 75% Gold Boost
8h:15m to 9hr = 65% MF, 90% Gold Boost

When 2 Mesmers(in the same group) drop their Portal, the portals Entrance combine into a single portal and screw up.

Found this out last night in CoF:path1, we were going to portal past the boulders, I did mine ran and teleported, as I lay down the Exit another mesmer laid down their entrance and our starting portals combined into a finished portal. It basically canceled each other out.

Portals should be considered Separate, and not do this. Please fix.

With how GW2 is designed, I think a PTR is a waste of money/time for Anet.

Instead what they need to do is have their own staff playing on patch release for the first 8-12hours of any patch going live, and have a 24 hour window to get the bug fixes rolled out.

This is not a community driven game, and the community shouldn’t be responsible for finding and fixing bugs PRIOR to Anet rolling out patches. It just wastes everyone’s time.

I think Clones and Phantasms should be active until out of combat. Once out of combat I do not think Mesmers should have 3 clones/Phantasms up as that’s not how the class is designed. But to auto-break the clones on target’s death is stupid playing in my books.

Ive been playing a mesmer since month 2 after release, and other then this fact (the clones breaking on targets death) the class is one of my favorites to play (in both WvW/PvE). If we could have our Clones/Phantasms up and active until we are out of combat I think it would make the class that much better/enjoyable to play.

An option to disable right click targeting

ikereid.4637

11 pages, what 2 Major patches, and atleast 6 minor patches and nothing has been mentioned on this topic by Anet other then ‘we are looking into it’ that was 8 months ago?

I highly doubt this is going to be fixed. as they dont see it as a problem.

we can argue till we are blue in the faces on why right click targeting is bad (and it IS BAD, ok ANET?!), but unless the company agrees with the player base on this, its not going to get fixed/patched/optioned into the game.

I personally hate the right click target, when I move, camera pan, dodge (I dodge Right/left which requires the z-Lock) i always lose target, then the auto targeting system, 90% of time, Picks the wrong target. And I am either killing a environmental object(sorry Bunny) or pulling another Mob (oh crap, not the champion over there…needed to clear out the trash first).

But oh no, its not game breaking enough to ANET to take this seriously, but they sure have the man power and time to deploy a stupid 1/2 assed living story that took up a total of 8 hours of my time to complete (yay awesome Flower, Bonus for Doc Octopus!), which probably took them well over a month to build the all the events and achievements and dialog for.

By now they should be diverting a small team to hammer out these ‘game Breaking’ bugs/irritations so what we can play the MMO as we please, with out killing us/the party by this awesomely done right click targeting feature.

How about instead of a world based living story, one that revolves around the players actions/decisions and what responses they tell certain NPCs? And if you make a portion of the living story angry, maybe you cant enter the instance at the end of the living story

And make it so that each leg of the living story lasts the players longer then 16 hours (the time it took me to complete everything in F&F, and about the time it took me to complete the southsun 25/25 Title Achievement)

Its nice that I no longer have to focus on SouthSun and head back into the mindless grind that CoF:path1 is, or lode stone Farming for my Legendary. but the Living story feels really cheap and poorly deployed. It needs more investment towards the player base. And feel more ‘Epic’ as these stories were represented by the PR guys from Anet.

Just don’t party with players that are in Full Magic Find gear. Magic Find is for Grinding, not running Instances/Parties. And it should not be balanced between all members, because that’s when Magic find falls off the train as being a ‘OK stat’ for grinding.

I like running with my 200% to grinding out T5/T6 Mats in my Farming Spots, And I like grouping with people at those spots to kill stuff faster, if they are not running the same % of Magic Find as I am, why should I suffer due to their lack of gearing skills? that is unfair. I spent a lot of time and Gold on my Magic Find stats, other players shouldn’t benefit from it by being ‘Carried’ to a higher % then they are wearing.

But on the other side of the coin, you’ll never see my wearing Magic Find in Instances, Dynamic World Events, or during the Living story events. Magic Find weighs to heavy against other stated Gear to be brought onboard in those situations, and other players need to realize that and stop being greedy.

Feature Request: Proxy Experience

in Suggestions

Posted by: ikereid.4637

ikereid.4637

A little history before I get into the feature request;

I have played MMO’s since 1999 when EverQuest came out, and the one aspect I have Always hated was grinding out Levels. With the crafting system in GuildWars2 you can get from 1-30 for about 20g in under 2 hours, then you can grind out the additional levels via AC:Story/Explore and so on for IMHO the fastest leveling the game has to offer.

Bu this takes time away from my other more Geared and Favored Characters on my account.

True I can run an instance with my 80Guard, 80 Elementalist or 80 Mesmer, then swap to my lower level Character(s) at the End Boss to get the Instance completion benefits and Experience boost, but that feels stupid and cheap and like I’m using the group to obtain a selfish goal, rather then being ‘part of the team’. On the other side, the LFG website is more and more looking for only level 80 players. If you join on your level 46, for example, they either don’t let you self invite or kick you out after you are settled in (this happens 6 of 10 runs on average for me).

The alternative is to run Map Completion till 80 (which can take a couple weeks if your schedule isn’t that great, and mind numbing boring if you have done this already on your other characters) but either way you run your alts to 80 you are taking away time from your main character(s), Friends, Groups, Farming(CoF Path1), and Guild Events to maintain the time it takes to get your alts to your desired Level cap.

Also if/when you run your Dynamic Events with your Alt, you do not benefit from the level 80 reward chests, this fact just drives me nuts as you are loosing out on high valued Exotics/decent Rares in favor of grinding out those levels on your Alts. This has felt like a step back, honestly.

So here is the feature request;

Enable a feature in the UI that lets you dictate your gained/earned experience on to whatever alt of your choosing, and let you choose how much experience ( I.E. 10%, 20%, 40%, 50%, 80%, or 100%) so that you are not forced to do a 100% push from your level 80 into whatever alt you may choose. Or make it that 1 Skill Point earned via Experience at level 80 equals 1 Level below level 79 on your targeted Alt.

Lets call this ‘Gift of Experience’, 2 Drop downs, the First is your targeted Character’s Name, the 2nd is the Amount of experience you want to gift to that character when you earn Experience on this character.

And the reason;

This lets you play the game however you want, and still be able to have Alts building in the background. You are still playing the game as designed (Time sink), and you are not boosting/cheating the system (as it should be raw EXP only, currently boosted Exp should not count), and you can grind out whatever instance, Dynamic Events, Guild Hunts/Events…ect, with out taking away from the other players in your circle just because you want to get XYZ levels on ABC Alts.

This is a feature that should only be enabled once you have 1 or 2 Characters on your account at level 80 already. This could be earned via an Account Achievement, TP Gem Purchase, or Legendary Crafting recipe.

Benefits for ANET/Gem Store;

1. This would probably get players to buy more character slots, since you would be able to build XYZ Class/race/sex, while playing your other characters as you Please.

2. Build a new set of Boosters for this feature only, and they would be on the gem store only (Not in the Black lion Chests), that would probably also boost Gem sells.

Anyway, that is my complete thoughts on this Feature request, I hope it lands on someones Desk.

No need to be mean here, and the best suggestion so far was the gw2lfg.com website. You can join, or form a group for any instance on any mode in 5 mins or less. just be at XYZ instance entrance and you will get the popup, no matter what server you are on.

Adding bots to the game to supplement players, or even bad players, is a bandaid that will undo the MMO aspect of this game. If i can just buy NPCs that will act ‘OK’ in liu of players why should i even play with people….ect. Its just a bad idea, and i really hope it never comes to light.

Yea, this game isnt designed around the holy-MMO-trinity. If a player is buffing/healing and not having time to kill XYZ target, thats a bad player/group IMHO.

Playing a Support(mightStacks, Healing) Guardian, AuraMaster-Ele, …ect doesnt mean I should only focus on the boons/healing that i can do, but I should focus on the goal of killing XYZ mobs, finishing whatever task the group is on, WHILE healing and buffing the party. One thing I like about the boons, they are all almost combat passive. You buff when you are attacking, dodging, running rune synergy(Lyssa+Elite SKill+Sigil that shares your boons = OP IMHO). And I do not feel player should get extra credit based on the boons they hand out or the % of healing they do. As not all classes can play that way (mesmer for example) and it would probably create a rift between classes, that we do not have today.

Bringing up this topic, cause its still an issue. When someone is on your follower list and you block them, they can still see you online. They cannot /tell you as it says ‘player is offline’ but you still show your status to them as Green (or whatever you set it to). This needs to be addressed ASAP.

some people have gsm connection with limitation & big cost
game have too big & too frequently updates

Ohh I dunno…Get a real Internet Connection?

GSM was never intended to be used as a primary ISP use. You should really invest in Cable, FiOS, or DSL at this point.

The day GW2 stops getting updates, I stop playing it. Period.

Download HDTUNE (Search Google) and run the application then look at the health tab. This will tell you what to expect from your current HDD. Yellow and Red Bars are bad, and anything over 25k SMART power on hours is bad as well.

SSD’s are nice, real nice, but they are also expensive. Today I wouldn’t buy anything less then 120GB on a Vertex4.

Hi SolarNova

Thanks for the response I’ve been around the market and I do think that the price for the i7 3770K is more than reasonable and I was about to purchase it only fact is the motherboard as the one I had my eyes on (due to the price of course) was the ASUS P8Z77-V LX. Anything to say against it? Or is it more than fair? About the Overclocking I have never done it before (I have seen lots of videos and read many threads) and I’m wary to do it if i’m honest would it improve the performance by a lot?

Regarding the SSD I will probably get one anyway because as I said my old HD is quite old so it’s time anyway to upgrade.

Any suggestions on the Motherboard as this is my biggest doubt.

How to save digital download to disk?

Buy a 32g USB Flash disk

Build/Modify and run the following script

xcopy “c:\program files <x86>\Arena Net\Guild Wars 2\” “f:\Guild Wars 2\”
xcopy “c:\users\%username%\documents\Guild Wars 2\” “f:\UserData\Guild Wars 2\”

so whenever you patch or update GW2 you can back up the entire directory to a USB Stick in case you need to reinstall it. If you need to restore it, just copy it from the 32g Flash drive back to the normal working directories (takes maybe 35-45mins on USB2.0 and 10-15Mins on USB3.0)

I think your Rig is probably OK Hardware wise for now. But its possible your Motherboard is enforcing the cStates for the CPU (hence why you have it listed at 803Mhz when that CPU should be running at 3.3Ghz.

I would start there, and try and ‘lock’ the CPUs Clock at 3.3Ghz. Download CPU-Z and verify the clock speeds(they will update as the system puts load). If your lucky and your Motherboard’s Bios offers Overclocking utility, you can force the pStates and lock the Clock of the CPU from dropping below 3.3Ghz. This should help tremendously.

I wouldn’t over clock the CPU (Force it above 3.3ghz) until you can verify the CPU is actually running properly(a damaged Core will cause the CPU to run at a slower Clock rate then its supposed to run. I had this happen on one of my APUs recently)

but your CPU should be able to turbo boost 1 core at a time to 3.7Ghz. You might want to see if your BIOS can disable that to sustain the 3.3Ghz Clock.

Hi all!

I’ve been reading for the last 3 weeks all sorts of forums related and not to GW2. I’ll explain briefly. I have the following system:

- CPU = AMD Phenom II X6 1100T 803Mhz
– GPU = GTX 650 Asus 1Gb
– 8Gb Ram
– Windows 7 Ultimate Edition x64
– Western digital = I’m not sure really what model but pretty old (maybe 5 years) 250Gb space disk

The dilema is that im getting around 15 to 25 FPS in the game and I i’m not sure why. Is it possible due to old HD? or is it the actual processor thats doing bottleneck to the GPU? I’m willing to spend money on a new Motherboard + CPU not sure what to get to be honest if you have any suggestions im all ears. And regarding the Hard Drive I dont see on any threads anything related to FPS due to Hard Drive, but I can imagine that an old one could actually affect perfromance and im thinking of buying an SSD. Please let me know your opinion.

My only target is for the PvE game to work around 50Fps average and WvW to run at least at 20Fps if possible.

BTW: I have done every possible software related thing. Update drivers, tweak Nvidia settings, etc. At the moment im getting on medium settings 15 to 20 Fps in Dungeons. And it doesn’t improve if a lower done to minimum.

Please HELP!

No issues with 12.10 at all, solid 65FPS, WvW 35-40FPS.

But that’s with the internal switching graphics going from the APU with a 6620G to the Dedicated HD7690M.

On 13.1 it doesn’t seem this is working for GW2. Locks to the 6620G that’s in the APU, stunting the FPS in GW2 considerably.

Wondering if anyone else runs GW2 on a laptop similar to this, and if they have given 13.1 a try yet.

(mind you, the 12.11beta drivers work just fine for the switching graphics, but 13.1 has issues)

And yes, this seems to be more of a driver issue then a ANET issue, but I figure I would post here anyway.

As others have said, your CPU is the issue here.

But my question is, what FPS do you come to expect out of GW2 on your system? If you want to max FPS you are going to need to get a i5-2500 or an i7. Rip and replace the Motherboard…ect. Lot of work and a reinstall of windows(unless you know the work around…install the default AHCI 1.0 Controller, and reboot)

if 60FPS is acceptable, then boost your Core Voltage by 0.25 and you should be able to get close to 60FPS while playing PvE, and 45~ on moderate PVP/WvW. I wouldnt push the Core Voltage any higher then that with out buying a better CPU heatsink/Cooler(Do research).

But the biggest issue though, your CPU is an FM1 socket. I really wish it was a AM3+ or just an AM3. All the APUs are AthlonII based CPUs (PhenomII’s with out the L3 cache) so CPU wise, you are looking at another Board if you want to get more out of it.

the FX CPUs are on AM3+ Sockets, I am not aware of any that are on FM1, I do know some of the newer APUs(A10’s) will have L3 Cache, but are also on the FM2 Socket(FM2 will not fit on FM1, but FM1 CPUs will work in FM2 Sockets…ect)

So at best, Boost the core Voltage(or download K10Stat and play with it, as it works wonders on Stepping in windows…there are guides for it out there), Wait for Anet to optimize the CPU settings in GW2, or rip and replace your CPU/Motherboard for something better (At this point and time, I would go no less then an Intel SB i5-2500. They ARE The best bang for your Buck!!)

Ok so this is my build with hardware links. So far I have been able to run any game I’ve come across at max setting 60fps no problem. GW2 however runs extremely badly and always has since its release. I get no more than 30fps and changing in game settings or NVidia control panel settings makes no difference at all. I’ve asked around in my guild and there are people with worse builds than mine that get a full 60fps with out having to tweak anything.

Please what am I doing wrong? I don’t understand why I can play new latest games no problem but GW2 runs bad! Enclosed pic of in game settings.

Personally, I wish the Physx wasn’t included in the Nvidia Cards, but rather sold as a 4x/8x addon card. THEN run it as an open development platform. The fact the physx is on the same Card as your GPU has always bothered me. Heat and power draw from it plays largely into the performance hit, as well as the 16x PCI-E lanes that has to be shared between the Physx and GPU together. Software, while might attribute to it some of the performance issues, would only really be optimization issues.

note: the 650 can be slightly faster but if you enable physx on it, many times it takes a large hit in perf(infact so do the 670 and 680 in alot of physx titles) its a known issue, I think its a driver thing, probably to much power being given to physx to little to everything else.

very few titles use hardware physx(more use physx without hardware support then with it, meaning having a gpu that can run physx dosnt do you any good with them as they dont support that feature)

last time I looked it was something like 11 total titles using hardware physx the rest all used software mode only no hardware mode support.

nvidia need to grow up and just put physx out as an open platform using directcompute or opencl to run the physx code rather then cuda….would drive more developers to use it……many avoid it due to it being so locked in by nvidia and the games nv have played with stuff like by default limiting cpu driven physx to 1 core(had to know how to compile it to use multi cores)…….childish stuff like that drives me crazy.

nVidia make some good stuff, but they also have some really kitteny things they do……

That is pretty normal.

My Advice is to make sure you update your AMD Drivers to 12.10(while 13.1 is out, I’m having performance issues with them…Big time)

Once you launch GW2.exe and let it sit with the big white non-responding screen, in about 8-12mins it will start to work again.

I run the same Graphics card as you (mines a XFX5770 though) and have the same issues.

Note – a Perm Fix is to Format and Install Win8 from a Fresh Perspective then lay out your Drivers. Or Reinstall Win7(which STILL runs games better then Win8), Upgrading Windows causes weirdness like this.

I did AC for the first time last night, and it was a very RUDE awakening. No where in the game do you have a training experience for such a horrible awakening.

There are no tanks, no healers, and no CC based players. Everyone goes raw damage (per their leveling up methods). So when you get in those tight groups, its just unorganized chaos. I think I died 30+ times, but we did the ENTIRE Dungeon. All the way to the King.

Now, I’m not complaining about the game, the dungeon or otherwise. But I think Arenanet needs to figure out a way to introduce players, that are new to this type of MMO, for its dungeons. Coming from a EQ/WoW background it was very hard to get in sync with what I needed to do. With no tanks, crappy mitigation/avoidance, Lack of Good healing spells, and no real CC (the people I was with didn’t know how to CC with Knockback and other nice skills to interrupt casting and what not) it makes it very hard.

But, 20/20 hindsight, being a ‘professional’ raider for many years I can now see how to handle this instance. But I now need to go through my Character and figure out what defensive skills I can monopolize on. As before my AC experience I have not had to touch them…at all. And from a players experience, that’s not good.
