anything that is Gem store bought needs to be account bound and reusable.
Commander tag should be account bound
WvW XP needs to be account bound (why is it not this way, thats just STUPID)
Fractal level needs to be account wide.

Those are the 4 I care about the most.

Windowed mode woes

So i have 2 moniters and i would like to have them set up for playing GW2. The only problem is when i set my game to windowed mode the game turns extremely blurry, and out of resolution. This is still while i have 1 moniter activated, and i know it happens with 2. Can anyone offer me a solution?

Windowed-Fullscreen Mode

Windowed Mode defaults to 800×600 and can stretch on some older Graphics Drivers, rather then re-render the resolution.

with the current season being absolutely broken (servers pulling 280,000 points while others in that team are pulling 80-120k points….), there is no need to make that gap even worse.

While i like you idea of making PvE add to the server’s over all, I cannot think of a good way to make it happen with the current encounters (except maybe based on Tequalt 2.0).

If you tagged the World Bosses to add 1% to a stat everytime its killed, that 1% becomes 100% in under 1 day. So that won’t work.

If you tagged an instance, say CoF, on completion of all paths server gets 1% added to each players damage, again that 1% would become 100% in a matter of hours.

Do you see the pattern?

with out a weekly encounter, or some timegated encounter, there is no logical way for what you want to happen with out it being completely unbalanced.

ofcourse there’s should be limits.. and bonuses not necessarily must be a stat increases, i doubt a-net can create tons of possible improves

Only thing I can think of is a PvE World Experience bar. that applies to a random Stat based on World participation. Example; You run an instance you gain your world .2% of that experience to unlock that stat. each unlock needs to mirror WvW (1%, 2%, 3%…ect). But instead of PvE/Gathering/MF Benefits, maybe WvW benefits (faster build/repair times, stronger upgrades (better then reinforced?). Unlock Legendary Guards at the Garrison for X time. Stuff like that?

I like MOST of your ideas.

However, when a skin is purchased it should be account bound and accessible to that account from that day forward with out the need of a regent to use it.

The fact that we are STILL getting skins via the achievement system that are 1 time only use, makes me so mad that I have stopped working on ANY META’s that reward a skin.

I will not buy skins from the gem store (except the new mesmer Staff, I was waiting for that for a long time…but thats the only exception here). I will not pay for black lion keys to get scraps to buy 1 time use Skins from the lion vendor in LA. (With Real Money or Gold)

until…

All skins are unlimited use and account bound on your achievement Skin bank screen.

No exceptions!

Instant 80!

After reading some Threads, i think would be a good Idea to implement instant 80 leveling scrolls for 300-400 gems in the gem store. This would perfectly work for me, i’m sure as hell don’t want to level another character and go through that boring level grind again. I would prefer instant level 80 alt. and just do end game with him.

Who else likes the idea?

its called the Tradeskill System and Tradeskill Boosters.

For about 60G (as of 3 weeks ago) You can level a level3 Character to 80 in under 3 hours (after you buy all the components).

You dont need a scroll for this, and 60G is about what it costs for 400 Gems right now. So you already have what you want.

WvW Rank Point Resets

I think that at the begging of every WvW Reset, we should also get Trait Resets if we want. Put in a NPC that would let you reset your Traits, then have a 7day Cool Down afterwards.

There are some traits that I could better benefit from now then before when the season just started. But instead of resetting the rank points, I have to just focus on getting more ranks (about 175 points to be exact), Because there is no reset.

lets have the option to reset.

Please let us choose Traits based on what we are doing, sPVP is separated from the rest of the game, lets have the same for WvW on the Trait setup.

Commander Icon Color changing

in Suggestions

Posted by: ikereid.4637

ikereid.4637

I think its time we got the choice to change our Commander Icon to different colors (Blue, Red, Green, Purple, Orange, Black, White/Gray….ect.) So that when there are more then 1 Commanders on the map Players can see which tag to goto via the Color.

There are times were we could benefit from 3+ Commanders on a single map, One commander for Defending, One for Zerging/Offensive, and maybe another for Camp Flipping/Leading Roamers. But since everyone’s Commander Tag is the same Color, having more then 2 (North and South) Commanders on a single Map generally causes issues.

So I feel we (community) need the ability to change our tags to suite the need of what we are doing.

Have a Map Color Key that dictates what Color is what responsibility, Such as;

Red = Offensive/Zerg
Black = Zerg hunting/breaking
Blue = Map Commander, Leader of the over all team
Green = Garrison Defense
Purple = Hills Defense
Yellow = Bay Defense
Purple = Tower Defense
Gray = Camp Flipping

OR something of that nature.

the current Season lacks several things, including balanced matches (Thanks for that Arena Net!), But if we had better organization tools, I think we could have had better luck to over come some of that.

Again, this is a quality of Live issue that would be passed down to any player that generally follows commanders around.

Seige Decay Timers

in Suggestions

Posted by: ikereid.4637

ikereid.4637

Refreshing Siege is a key part of a successful WvW match. With out Siege you cant take/defend Towers/keeps.

So what I propose is a siege decay timer that shows up under the seige’s health bar. Make it Blue and have the remaining time in the middle of the bar (If you choose to show % on your title bars via options).

[——45:17—- ] <- For example.

This way there is no question on the siege decay time, and it will help roamers to remember to refresh siege as they pass Keeps/towers on their way to camp Flip.

This is a quality of Life change, and I would greatly like to see it added to the game ASAP.

If after all else fails and u need to get a new card, there is 1 possible way to MAYBE save the card. Its a risk, but..u know if its dying/dead then ur not loosing anything if what i sugest goes wrong.

Its called baking. Even if u do it right it may not work, so just putting that out there.

You bassicaly stick ur graphics card in the oven. Sounds mad ..yep ..and it is. BUT do it right and it can bassicaly resolder everything on the baord at the same time, thus fixing any potential bad solder joints.

What can go wrong ..well u bake it to long or to hot and its fried…erm roasted.
The chips and caps could fall off and can happen if u make it to hot or leave it in to long.

The process, well the ones iv seen bassicaly strip the card of the heatsinks, shroud, and fans, stick it on a foil lined oven tray, suport it with somthing like rolled up balls of foil, and place it in. Have the oven preheated to around 200c/385f befor hand and leave it on for 8-10 minutes. it should start smelling of solder. After that let it cool slowly.
Once done, reassemble it and stick in ur rig and see if it worked.

There are alot of vids on youtube showing other people doing it and also forum posts on places like overclock.net.

Again only do this is all else fails and ur about to buy a new graphics card.

Its true, But you dont JUST put the card in the oven.

You need to take off anything that is detachable that is Plastic (your HSF, for example).
Then you MUST cover the card in TinFoil and cut out squares where the RAM and GPU DIE, are. You must absolutely cover any exposed Capacitors or they will Explode under the intense heat. (TinFoil acts as a heatshield, reflecting the Heat away from sensitive components on the PCB. )

then, preheat your oven to 375degrees, and bake on an open rack for 15-20minutes.

I have done this on many PC Components, Including Laptop Motherboards that have a ‘No Video’ issue, and the success rate is about 92%.

New laptop still runs on low FPS

And another update on the situation. If I go into CCC switchable gfx and put GW onto high performance it won’t let me launch the game. If I put it on power saving it will work just “fine” on 15-20 FPS in Divinity’s Reach/Login screen. This still feels awfully low and I want to fix the crashing problem. Do I have to turn Intel lower instead?

You need to update the drivers for that laptop in a special order, or the issue you are having…happens.

Uninstall all Intel iGPU and AMD GPU Software, then reboot.

Then download and install the latest Intel iGPU Software, then Reboot

Then Download and Install AMD 13.4 (the 13.9 Drivers are currently broken for Laptops with Switchable Graphics, 13.4 was the Last good working Driver for Laptops. Alternatively you can Download and Install AMD 12.10, that is the oldest Driver that will fully support GW2), then Reboot.

You should be able to get the older AMD Drivers from guru3d.com if you search for them, AMD’s Website No longer keeps an Archive of Drivers.

Then go into CCC and set the Performance Profile for the GW2.EXE application, then run the game.

Hi all.

Just started up GW2 client to download the new patch and after the first white panel bit, where it shows the pre-DL info, disappeared as normal, the launcher didn’t come back for the main download.

A few minutes later I get a message from Trend Micro that it has deleted GW2.exe and guild wars 2 game client.lnk.

I’m guessing this is a false positive (wouldn’t be the first time) but just thought I would ask in case anyone knows about some accidental/disgruntled employee/hack-attack/government(!!!) shenanigans before I add anything to the exception list.

Thanks

Scan your system with the following;

TDSS KIller – Finds RootKits
HitmanPro – Finds lots of stuff including Rootkits
MalwareBytes – Finds Malware and some Botnets
CCleaner – Registry Scanner

then I would uninstall Trendmicro, download their latest client, and reinstall and update the definition files. then do a full system scan.

Since your running Trend and you got infected, I’m thinking your AV is compromised. Trend is the best AV detection kit there is for Real-time Detection;

It could be a number of things. and with out being there to ‘see’ it happen its almost impossible to say with 100% certainty.

But, if your USB Card is that old. It could be heat causing the cards Chipset to ‘lock’ I/O for long enough to throw a driver exception, causing Windows to Dump due to TCP/IP Stack Timeouts.

You are downloading 16GBytes of Data on that card. That alone will cause it to heat up (SYN/ACK makes network cards very warm when it goes constantly for a long time), and if the card is heat sensitive that could be causing the card to ‘go offline’ to the OS which could be throwing your BSOD.

This indeed seems to be the problem, now it’s quite the search in how to switch it around because it seems there are many who have the same issue and haven’t found a way to set their games to the AMD either. Right now working on drivers and other required programs to perhaps be more fortunate.

Get into your Laptops Bios, there might be an option to set the Graphics to ‘high Performance’. I know that some later HP notebooks included this feature to fix this issue as the software is very buggy when switching from intel IGP to AMD/Nvidia Discrete.

actually there’s no BIOS graph settings, the last 1-2 years it must be set up via OS

I have an HP DV6z (AMD 7690M and A8-3550MX-6620G). I have to use the AMD CCC utility to switch between which Card to use. But on my Wifes HP DV6 with a i5 and 7670M she has a Bios Option for ‘Performance/Standard’ in her bios to force the system to switch between the intel HD Graphics and the AMD 7670M.

Taxes should only be applied when the guild is active on that event. I do not think that there should be a guild tax for when a player is doing something that does not benefit the guild. So WvW, yes taxes there would be good IMHO. But outside of WvW, no.

And, when you get your WvW Chests and there are BluePrints to choose from, the Player should have the option to send them to the Guild Bank (if you are repped) instead of always looting them. This would help with farming Prints, Wood/Mithril and SkillPoints (I wish I could donate SkillPoints as an Item to the guild for making Upgrades)

WvW - Ability to Repair Siege via Player

in Suggestions

Posted by: ikereid.4637

ikereid.4637

I like this idea actually. But, there should be a ‘unable to repair’ internal CD when a siege is under attack by a group of players. So that the Siege cannot just be ‘repaired’ while the players are being CC’d and distracted.

and, I really want a siege Decay Timer on each siege. A blue bar under the health bar of the seige, so we can all see where the siege is on its decay timers!

and to make it more insane to get, maybe have a new WvW trait line for each siege for repairs. 5 points per bar, each bar is 1%,2%,3%,5%,8%,10%…ect per supply used (can be teamed with the repair mastery to dump more supply in repair for siege so 6 supply *3% for 15points into your Siege Repair line (Ram’s for example)). That way there is more control on this new feature and requires a bit more investment then just 115 points.

If you are not overclocking, then its probably a dying GPU Fan. open your system and look at the fan. Is it covered in dust? Can you easily free spin the fan? Does the Fan make a grinding/huming sound when its spinning via power from the GPU?

Those ‘effects’ you are seeing are caused normally by excess heat to your gpu. You can also see them if you overclock to much and stress the Chip in other ways (Voltage, Core speeds…ect). But if you are not overclocking, then im willing to bet 100% its heat and a dying GPU Fan.

I know that some later HP notebooks included this feature to fix this issue as the software is very buggy when switching from intel IGP to AMD/Nvidia Discrete.

and unstable overclock can hit at anytime. And with how CPU intensive GW2 is, compared to other applications, unstable OC’s usually hit pretty often and quick in GW2.

It has been two months or so since I last got my BSoD, and that was with my older graphic card, since I changed it, I’ve never gotten any BSoD while playing any game. Also, I usually play GW2 with medium to high setting, so I don’t think simply installing the files would cause it to crash.

ah didnt see this. No installing files should NOT crash/BSOD your system. BUT if you had a dying CPU or Memory going bad, that could happen.

After GW2 is reinstalled, run it and if you get a BSOD again record the Stop code and faulting Module.

What are you overclocking Too?

I have no idea, if I knew I wouldn’t be here asking. I was just trying to know what that is since the previous poster implied that I might have it.

If you are overclocking, you would know exactly what you are overclocking to. Which is not the case.

Can you download CPU-Z, run it and take a screenshot on its First tab so We can verify that someone else didnt OC your system for you :-)

What are you overclocking Too? I once Overclocked a 830 to 5.1Ghz running the RAM, HT, and NB-CPU at 1100Mhz. If I would bump the Ram to 1333, HT/NB to 2200Mhz I could not get it stable above 4.1Ghz.

And if you are pushing high OC’s on that chip have you testing your CPU Temps? CoreTemp is best for that.

Assuming you overclocked your CPU, the 0×1E would represent increasing vcore. That is assuming you have overclocked.

But overclocking while installing the game? Is there anyway to temporary increase or disable the limit?

and unstable overclock can hit at anytime. And with how CPU intensive GW2 is, compared to other applications, unstable OC’s usually hit pretty often and quick in GW2.

If you ARE overclocking, I really hope you are testing with Prime95 for a good 2-3 hours after you do the stable 2min Core Test after every OC notch.

when your PC BSOD’s there is a stop Code and Faulting Module. Do you happen to have both of those?

I assume the BCCode is your stop code of 0×0000001e, but with out the faulting module being present 1e can literally be anything from bad RAM, faulty CPU, Failing Driver, or a .sys/.dll file.

LA wasn’t to busy when I took the capture, but in WvW I was in the middle of a 30~ Player Zerg.

So, if you were to go with #4 (Buy an i5-4670K+Z87 Motherboard) I would say do it if you had the cash. its the only thing that really ‘smoothed’ this game out for me.

sounds like you are running on the IGP (the Intel one) Instead of the AMD HD7670M.
Verify your GPU settings to ensure that your Dedicated Card is being used. You can verify this by downloading and installing GPU-Z, there will be a drop down at the bottom that shows you both of the GPUs, select your HD7670 then open the Sensor Tab and look at utilization %.

On that setup You should be getting 63FPS at the character selection screen, 35FPS in LA, and 40-60FPS almost anywhere else (Graphic Settings Depending).

But mind you, the HD7670M is not that powerful of a GPU. I highly suggest turning shadows down to Low and Shaders down to Medium. Disable Post Processing and set Character Limit to Low.

that will help to speed that GPU up once you verify that you are actually running on it.

I’m from Poland and I’m sure that everything is fine with my internet conenction. A problem appeared 3 days ago, before that everything was ok.

It’s not a DSL through phone line, My ISP is also my Cable TV provider – 6Mbps download and 1 Mbps Upload. I think that if my Internet connection would be a reason of an issue, i’d get DC to character select screen, but game crashes only on 2 characters and my “offline” ranger is playable solo – I made full exploration of two maps being “offline”.

its either DSL or Cable. its not Both. And its possible your ISP is at fault, esp since this started about 3 days ago.

There is no offline mode for the game. So if you dropped from the server and are making progress still you are not offline.

I still HIGHLY recommend calling your ISP and have them verify that everything is good on their end and up to your Modem. Then go from there.

I’ve tried with crossfire disabled and get a 5fps drop. My hdd read/write times are fine. I’ve got a solid state drive coming in the mail though. Anyone had any luck with an add in sound card. I rememer the creative xfi was supposed to save cpu cycles and no one cared because “cpu’s aren’t a bottle neck”. Anyone used an x-fi and seen any performance improvements?

I have not used an addon sound card since SB5.1 days. And infact there have been reports that the XFI causes Black screens and other bugs in this game currently.

Have you tried by Removing the 2nd GPU from your system?

and how did you test your HDD? IOMeter is really the only suitable IOPS/MBps Read/Write test for HDD’s and SSD’s.

Srsly though, if arena net was just like. "Yeah we predicted wrong, made and oversight and now we’ve got a big task ahead of us splitting the main thread in half or more pieces. Don’t expect anything to come in the next 6-9 months months but trust us we’re concerned that all the hard effort we put into this game is going to waste because people are having a hard time experiencing it as intended. "

i’d be happy enough. Just to know its a priority. I don’t want to invest time into a game thats never going to get better.

hah! You and me both. If we all had acknowledgement from them that they understand about the performance and how BAD it really is. And they road-mapped changes/fixes and actually followed that approach, that would probably quiet this thread, and others like it, down considerably.

I’m using a phenom II x4 Clock Speed okittenhz, CPU-NB at 2600mhz ( stock of 2000 is a huge bottleneck for phenom IIs even at stock speeds. I get more fps out of those 600mhz than I get out of the 1ghz tacked on to my clock speed)

I’m using 2 7770s in crossfire, my motherboard has 4 x16 pci-e lanes
I’m using two of them and they register as running at x16.

8gb of ram, 1tb HDD recently formatted, Windows 8.1 x64

Have you tested your HDD to make sure its up to par?
And have you tested with Cross Fire Disabled?

MY setting
All on max
shader : off
shadows : off
Character limit : low

Yeap go for APU- steamroller but iGPU will be your bottleneck

If your GPU is bottle necking you, then upgrade it. GPU-Z will tell you what % the GPU is being used. You want 99%, but at Max Settings. If you turn off all the Shaders, Shadows and such, can you get your GPU to drop down in the 60% range?

i think people really tend to over play the age on phenom IIs.
My last system had an 8350 before I sold it to cover my moronic roomates space heaterbill. I still had my old phenom II and built my new system around it and have noticed pretty much 0 difference in pretty much every game out this year. My friends stilling running his 8320 and honestly doesn’t experience much better game play in most scenarios and the ones that really crush my system to 10 fps still nail his below 20. I’ve got money stashed aside for a new AMD chip / mobo once they start releasing steamroller based chips. I’ve got no issue spending 400+ dollars to get the game where I want it but I take issue knowing spending that amount currently won’t get me there with out switching to a company i’ve boycotted for years over their scummy business practices(great products don’t make a company worth my money if they do evil things with that money)

I Agree with you to a point. But, The Phenom’s are still old and the higher quality PhenomII (X6, Blacks..ect) are aging. The newer games and applications are taking advantage of alot of the newer features found in the FX and Ivy series CPUs now. better optimization and performance all around.

AMD loses to Intel on single threaded performance
Intel loses to AMD to Multi-threaded performance
Intel loses to AMD over Costs vs Performance for the 6 and 8 Core CPUs

Most applications are still built with a single thread in mind, because its easier and faster to get a finished product out. This is why the ‘world’ more over favors Intel over AMD.

Each CPU Manuf. covers a certain Niche that the other fails in. We can beat this dead horse, Intel vs AMD, all over again if you want. But that is NOT the issue here with GW2.

The issue is that you need to throw massive hardware at this broken game to get a Fraction of the performance needed to enjoy the intense action of WvW, and Zerged world Boss Fights.

And the fact that GW2 is a main single thread (several secondary threads) means that this game is going to out right favor Intel over AMD until that little fact is fixed.

Terrible as in sub 20fps, in every situation with more than 4 characters on screen be they players, mobs, npcs. I’m not sure what these people even play when they claim to get 40-60fps in pve. Do they mean leveling and solo world exploration? Sure I get anywhere from 40-120 fps while doing effectively nothing but running from point a to point b.
That doesn’t describe “most” pve.
The majority of end game PVE is dungeons, fractals, world events.
all 3 of these bring me below 20fps and world events often down to 7fps.

I really wanted to play WvW but i’m holding off on as theres no way i’m putting myself in a competitive sphere with under 30fps.

What are your system specs. This game is heavy on the CPU side of requirements. But you also need a moderate GPU as well for higher resolution rendering.

Edit*
Went through your Post history and found that these are your system specs?
7770s crossfired. Phenom II x4 @4.3ghz and nb-cpu at 2.8ghz custom cooled loop ?

Crossfire doesnt work well with GW2, So I highly suggest disabling that 2nd Card.
CPU-NB on AMD does not like anything higher then 2.6ghz (2.2ghz is ideal to be honest). Infact, some Motherboards start to make EMI on the NB at 2.7Ghz depending on the quality of RAM and the PSU. So, I highly recommend redoing your OC so that your NB and HT are Not higher then 2.6ghz (again, 2.2ghz is really ideal)

So, what about your memory,? What CL Timings, what Speed is your Ram. Is it dual or single, and how many sticks?

Have you verified that your system is being utlized properly while running GW2? Run CPU-Z, GPU-Z(Sensor tab) and CoreTemp to verify voltage, GPU Utilization, and Per Core Multiplier&Clock. And use CPu-Z to verify that your GPU are actually in 16x/16x or 8x/8x(Depending on PCI-E Configuration of your Motherboard, not all have dual 16x Lanes).

And lastly, your HDD/SSD configuration. How new are your HDD/SSD’s. Have you tested them for performance (IOMeter, HDtune/Crystal Disk for SMART data…ect)?

Server Blacktide. Location doesn’t matter, it happens everywhere in the world for last three days. Whole thing started when I was switching characters and game crashed during map loading, I was trying to load it again but I received message about connection lost. I tried several times and I thought my character is somehow bugged, so I decided to try another character, which didn’t work either, only my ranger was able to log in. But then I received another “connection lost” message when playing but still been able to play without disconnect.
Friend list issue is the same, I can see their account name online, but no character names and I can’t invite, join party or enter dungeon opened by other person.

My internet connection is DSL, i don’t use wireless connection, my pc is connected directly to modem via Ethernet Cable.

I mean, where at in the REAL WORLD. Europe, US(West, Central, East) Australia..ect.?
DSL is one of the most annoying connections to work with :-) There is a ‘keep alive’ on your PPPoE authentication, and if its set to low it can cause Real time streams to drop (TCP-Reset).

In your Modem (Configuration web page) there should be a Authentication status link, then a summary of the last time authentication happened and what happened to your WAN during that (Flagged Down, DHCP Renew, Unchanged). If your modem authenticates to the PPPoE Servers to often, I’d call your ISP and see if they can change that for you. Ideally you shouldnt have to auth but once every 3-4 days, or when grabbing a new IP address.

Then theres the Tech that goes into DSL (aDSL+). Are you running Dual ‘Phone’ Lines into the Modem? Are they bonded (12Mb down, 2.5Mb up). Can you verify signal to noise ratio in the modem? Are the 2 Lines running in Sync (look for Errors, Loss of Signal…ect).

If you cannot answer any of these questions, make a call to your ISP and ask them these very questions and have them verify the data and give you the numbers from their read outs.

Also, If you can figure out BlackTides IP and run a ping and trace route to it and respond with its response time that may help to ID some of the issues as well.

Indeed set things like:

Reflections: Off or Terrain & Sky (Big FPS killer)

Shadows : Anything but Ultra. Off being the best for performance obviosly. (will give you a handfull fo FPS)

Culling Settings:
Character Limit: High-Highest (its a big FPS killer but u NEED it set this high to see people)
Texture Limit: Medium or low ( another killer, set to medium for avergae sized zergs, set to low as soon as u see FPS getting to low)

The rest fo the settings i personaly dont see THAT much of a difference, though ofcourse if one were to set them all to Lowest then you would gain the accumulative few FPS from each setting and thus gain a good amount of FPS performance. but the look of GW2 would be ruined.

Everything here, but you need to disable post processing effects (its like 3-8% on the CPU that could be going back to the WvW mess), that Character Outline affects every Model present. In a zerg is can be CPU Killer.

Shadows I run Low – I just am not a fan of shadows personally, they distract :-)
Character Limit I always run on low – Nothing more painful then adjusting settings while zerging.

I am playing at college and today is registration, so they took the regular wifi away and put a proxy in with a username and password. well i have to log every program in to the server. How do i do that with guild wars… or my whole pc?

typically saying, Proxy’s that use User Authentication run off your Global Internet Settings, Proxy Setting.

Once you Authenticate, any application that uses the Default Internet Explorer settings in windows will auto-auth to the proxy. Applications that wont, would be like Firefox (has its own Proxy settings), Putty, Chrome….ect.

GW2 should use the default browsers proxy settings (IE, in your case I hope). Else you have to install a Proxy Application Agent to Bridge your Non-supported Application and the Proxy Authentication Process.

You will want to contact your School IT support Team and explain to them that you have an application that may not work with a Proxy connection and you need access to an unrestricted VLAN.

Typically, you have to sign a fair use agreement for this, some schools charge for the service, then they simply grab your PC’s Mac address and give it rights into the network that go around the proxy.

Hello.

I’ve got an issue with my game client.

Sometimes, I’ve got a problem when I’m playing. When I am on my ranger – I get a “connection lost” info, but after clicking “ok” I can still play – my status is changing from online to offline and again and again, I’m still getting connection lost infos, I can still play, but only on ranger – I get a crash during a map loading when I’m trying to change a character. I can’t see or write on any chats, cant see my party or friends on list. Client restart doesn’t help, pc restart neither. Internet connection is ok.

I need some help here!

Where are you located in the world. What Server did you choose?
On your Character Select Screen are you seeing the same ‘Online Status’ issue if you open your friends list? (Top Left of screen).

What Router do you use at home, do you use a wired connection or wireless connection between your PC that runs GW2 and the Router? What is your Internet Connection (DSL, Cable, FiOS, Dial-up).
