but ya gotta admit, karma train is awesome xp. if there’s one runnin’ maybe alt leveling time. if its small numbers or a heavy defense or something like that... its the 80 guard all teh way.

we’re leveling alts because we’re SO DANG BORED of this sucktastic matchup.

and never afraid to fight is pretty darn laughable. i seen you guys tuck tail and run plenty of times. but whatever.

and a few days ago ET endured a perfectly choreographed synchronized attack on our BL... Fergs up the west side, and SF up the east, culminating with you both hitting our garrison gates at the same time. again, one on east gate one on west gate.

looked awfully suspicious. but then when you both broke thru, you fought each other. so all good. just talk about timing.

and as for the ferg getting double-teamed... is it possible they interrupted a duel?

trust me, most of my screenshots show “Sorrow’s Furnace Invader/Defender”. not avoiding SF by a long shot. actually SEEING some fergys out on the field the last couple weeks has been a refreshing change.

i dunno who he is, but you guys got one nasty charr engineer in your ranks.

i get happy when i see the daily requirement list has stuff in it like "kill 5 caravans", "kill 10 mists invaders", "kill ambient creatures"

getting daily in WvW is easy peasy on those days. XD

yeah... after my guard made 80 and i spent the whole day running to all the WP i needed... BLARGH. and my first few dragons and CoF runs on an "in-your-face" guard when you’re used to running them on a ranged ranger was an eye opening experience. XD

suffice to say that all my current characters now at least have Maw/Fire ele/Behemoth WPs... so at least i can make a little gold. maybe. if i’m not in the middle of a big push. or taking a tower. or defending garrison. or... aw dangit. >.<

no wonder i’m so kitten broke.

and on that note, only a WvW player levels an alt to 80 in WvW and then, when they want to gear their new character up in something other than "invader gear" realizes that their fresh character doesn’t have the WPs for any dragons... any chest events... any dungeons.... orr.... >.>

2 minutes ago, we finished taking back our own BL and decided to go relieve Fergy of their garrison. actually... to be perfectly accurate... we decided to relieve SF of Fergy’s garrison. so yeah...

meh. we didn’t have a commander for a while,. happens.

meh. maybe i’ll ask if any ports are available tonight. if not, no big loss. there’s always more SF to kill to get badges from

Jumping puzzles are part of WvW and if people can’t perform the precise jumping required of such in game puzzles then maybe they are not experienced enough to handle the more experienced levels that are open to enemy players…in my experienced opinion.

funny. i’ve been enjoying WvW for a couple months now, and i still don’t know exactly where to find the JP, nor do i care to try to find it. i’m halfway to having enough badges to get a legendary if i ever want to try for one…i don’t see the need

some people are not fans of the pinpoint precise jumping required by some of the puzzles in game... hence the "mario brothers bullcrap" comment

Dat ET Garrison last night, holy hell.

Break the west wall get west gate to 50%~ and get pushed out, bring a golem army to watergate, get through inner, get pushed out. After two or three different siege placement for mid gate finally get in, and slowly work your numbers down to the point that we rush in and cap it.

It was tremendously fun, do it more often please :P.

Sidenote: It was the running joke of the night that we were fighting your entire server at the Garrison. So does that mean I could have had my guildies guest over for lag-free dragon events last night :P?

well crap. you capped it last night? i had to go to bed before the action ended. DARN WORK! &gt;shakes fist&lt; i left during a lull, but based on what you just said, that’s all it was. &gt;pout&lt;

aw crap. don’t get me started on that. my guard (who i got half my levels riding the karma train, by the way &gt;_&gt; ) had never done ANY dungeons, nor had any WPs anywhere remotely close to orr till about 3 days ago. and i still only have a few...

yeah. i kinda stuck my foot in it trying to rally people for a defense for a much bigger situation than i realized.

mm. sounds solid to me. things happened rather quickly... or at least they sure seemed to. XD

i saw a report that one of the southern keeps was being hit, and since no one else was saying anything, i was like "come on guys let’s go defend it." and started off across the map. before i got halfway there, someone else called out that hills keep was under attack. i *think* that one may have been partially upgraded, and my mind said upgraded keep > basic tower and i called out change of plans defend keep. by the time i got finished saying that someone ELSE called that the bay keep was also under attack. they both fell before i could get to either (like i said, this all happened pretty fast).

i was a little overwhelmed at that point, so i stopped "helping" in /map :-/

somewhere in the mess i died.. i think trying to get into one of the northern towers to defend it, and when i WPed there was a bunch of people standing around doing nothing. >.<

then a commander logged in and took over defending garrison which they were just starting to hit at that point.

as fast as they were moving, i think perhaps going to garrison to fortify and prepare to defend may have been a better move.

only a WvW player would take a PvE break to restock their gold supplies and think to themselves "d*** this is easy..."

only a WvW player would decide to take a break from WvW to level an alt, just to end up riding the karma train to level up instead, because it’s easier and more fun

only a NEW WvW player would think to themselves after a fight "wow, that guy was tough. i wonder if he was a champion or a vet..."

Yes… Divided attention also causes this problem. I’ve seen commanders struggle to make the decision to give up the keep that they are coming to late, in order to save the keep that they can make it to in time. I’m sure partially that’s due to not having enough experience to time things, or know what can/can’t be saved.

question about this… a couple nights ago i was in WvW in my home BL, and there was no commander present. both of the other teams started pushing hard, one from the east, one from the west, with unfortunate (for us) unified timing…starting at the southern towers, up to the keeps, the northern towers, then they hit garrison in unison, one server on the east gate, one on the west. the few people in the map were calling out in /map where things were being hit, but no one knew what to do or was calling the shots. i tried to scramble a bit of defense, but it was too little too late, and i’m not a commander, so few people came running for me…

if there had been a good commander on the map, what could/should they have done?

(note, a good commander did log in and take over organizing a defense at garrison before it fell, and we had one heck of a good fight, but ultimately lost it to superior numbers.)

but you’re right… there is no good way to have an alliance or pact of any sort. there will ALWAYS be people who disagree with it and attack anyway… or just plain don’t know about it because they don’t follow the forums… and attack.

meh. it is what it is. fight the good fight. i’ll see you on the field.

and as for SF. you DO realize that you are totally setting FC up for a huge failure, right? when you finally do eventually pull out of tier 8, whoever drops in to take your place will not so conveniently avoid ferg’s BL. if ferg gets used to things being quiet on the home front, allowing them a modicum of security to attack elsewhere… mostly ET (to be fair, it is making for more interesting fights… its not ET vs SF ALLTHE TIME like it used to be. bravo?)… when that leg gets kicked out from under them it will be a nasty blow.

and another thing… if we’re fighting well enough to stay in 2nd place while fighting against both of you working together… we’re better than we realize. maybe we’ll be chasing you into tier 7. >:-)

there was no "alliance" between FC and ET. there was a controversial "non-agressive pact" that was proposed by someone from FC, and some people from ET agreed to it, but not everyone from both sides agreed. i am unclear on all the specifics, so i can only relay 2nd hand info... but according to what i HEARD... FC broke the pact first, and ET lashed back hard on reset day. it was that week or the next that ET moved into 2nd place.

as for an alliance between SF and FC... King Amadaes seems to have explained what’s going on there, but i can see how some on ET would *think* that there was a true alliance of some sort when they see stuff like what happened last night. last night ET BL got hit simultaneously from both sides by FC on the west and SF on the east, and systematically moved their way up from the southern towers to the keeps, to the northern towers, culminating with hitting the garrison in unison. the timing was incredibly coincidental, and the only reason i myself don’t think it was a co-attack of some sort was that when SF broke thru the east gates and took our garrison first, they then turned on FC attacking the west gate and fought them as well. someone who wasn’t there to witness the attack on garrison could easily assume FC and SF were working together to take ET’s entire BL.

rangers should get... ermm. uhhhmmmm... ya know, it’s hard to pick just one thing to fix. O.o

and while we’re on the subject of mesmers... another two... one from Fergy and one from SF, were just hassling my small group as we were trying to take camps and whatnot. maybe an hour or two ago. i want to give a shout out to both of them. i forget their tags, but one was dressed in red draconic? i think? both were very good.. and VERY persistent. was a good hard fight each time, and you both kept coming back for another round. kudos.
