300 = 20… (you already lost 10% just from traiting what about the gear?)

well if 15 = 1
then 30 = 2
so 300 (the regular stat from maxed trait) = 20

means we technicaly lost 10% critical damage already just from traiting now to look at what the gear will provide but i think all critical damage build will take a huge hit.

EU doing any better then NA? I heard rumors but thats prety much it and when i look at the lfg i dont see much of the elitism the forum seems to say is omnipresent.

Im just saying one shouldnt actualy get angry at someone just because he dont run the build you want him to run unless the party was described as such. I respect that guardian for having the guts to try a bunker guard build in dungeons but i dont know the context around it. In the eye of the believer all that mather in a pug is that the guy actualy stay alive and try his best but if its a party with a description like ‘’run x use y’’ your supose to be meeting the prerequisite before joining.

I see tons of staff support guardian everyday and the same goes for turret enginer or other underated build around and i aint making a fuss about it all i care about is the end results.

To bad it dont plus i got somewhat close to disease immunity and even then id still crawl over to my computer just to type things ;P you aint getting rid of me anytime soon like it or not. Was your party a described party? You only get what you ask for as a general rule.

This games needs new dongeon armor… one people who actualy dont try very hard wont be able to aquire easily and im not talking about arah.

Anyone should have the right to play how they want. If the party description doesnt say ‘’meta only’’ your prety much free to run anything long as its in accordance with the description and no one should have a say into forcing you to play how they want you to play out of the boundary of the party description. By not writing zerker only or meta only you selfdom accept and asume you arent 100% sure to get a meta player or even a glass cannon in the first place as well as its many possible consequance.

Still a little acomodation is never a bad idea when in a bad situation. If some player subjest i use a specific utility for a fight so to make life easyer for everyone i dont mind switching one or two spells out temporarily then revert to my normal specialisation after the thing is done. Your free to decline but its never a bad idea to lend a ear and listen because sometime other players can have a very good idea and a ‘’please can you do this for us’’ is always a sunshine.

Well people who actualy do the dongeon 100% legit deserve some form of respect. If you dont like dungeon runners just dont go in a party with them end of the line… ruining a dungeon runner run is just as toxic to the game as glitching dungeons is and altrought i do hate it because it makes every dungeon uber casual my way to protest is to simply do the runs with pugs and organised teams as anyone who dont want to pay for a arah path should.

give the norn its animal form and its a totaly defrent story. Norn lore Wise are supose to be able to asume theyre animal form at will. In GW2 the elite was given a cooldown to avoid ’’OPNESS’’… remember bear totem in GW1 youl know why they nerfed it in GW2.

I love zodiac that is not to be questionned however i wish sometime i could change the ’’slimed’’ blue body color to something else too like yellow green pink purple red…

Zodiac is 100% fashionable but its thematicaly difficult to associate with a class and build so to match perfectly.

the return of the ‘’5 vs 5 deathmatch’’ map would finaly spell a return to guild wars RA pvp roots and a well apreciated one for all those people who specialise into player slaying builds. Capture the zone is a fun game but a boring one to people who actualy join Spvp looking for a fight rather then an all out cap and run game, behing half controlled by bunkers its time to make a mode where fighters actualy gets to have a spotlight to.

Trahearne looking at ESO release versus what guild wars 2 brought on the table: This wont end well…

Performance required in party is variable. Most people definition of performance is not behing a jerk or constantly agroing everything to the party dismay or at least thats the case for most pug you will encounter. If you are in a premade however or a meta team you are expected to do your very best. Ive been using ’’stupid’’ elite sometimes and while this isnt 100% party friendly people in pug dont actualy care what build you are using long as you dont fail at using it. Ive never been kicked from a party for not behing meta :/ or for running pets or anything else talked about on this forum god knows ive even ran bearbow once to try it out, as a general rule long as you join random pugs with no specific you shouldnt have this problem.

As i said before this trait will likely only be good for minion masters or other DM user (likely more well-o-mancer bunkers). Death nova isnt that much of a use in PVE but in pvp can be important as a poison source. Again its all in the eye of the believers… Since they plan on making reanimator merge with death nova MM might be inclined to run Death nova instead but in pvp one might prefer to run the new trait in order to bunker stuff up.

I didnt fellow any guide but i learn from my mistake and study environment + i did play since the beta so bosses strategy and such was more intuitive then nothing. Guides wont do the job for you just as well as a good deduction and sharpened instincts will (even without knowing a boss fight fully you can study how the boss works mid way and deduce on your own all its mechanics).

You peoples are way to strict for nothing… Idk if its because you guys are on europe or something but on NA we dont kick people just for using hound of baltazar or a non meta build. Again if you join a team that says ‘’meta only’’ its prety obvious in the title that you aint supose to use anything but the meta, as such dont bother joining those people and just pug it with random people, especialy if its a dungeon because your prety much not saving any time joining those team anyway.

Quickest way to get a dungeon done? Post lfm ’’dungeon’’ in the lfg take the 4 first randomer you find and do it simple as that, dungeons by default are so easy it doesnt take an asura Genius to complete (forgive the pun my fellow asura) within half the time it wouldve take that full zerker team to even get assembled in the first place. Builds dont define one skills its the actual ability to play it right and get things done that do and if you think running HoB is what your confortable with there is no reason why you shouldnt be able to.

well theres a little of everything in the world… i wouldve prefered however if all those bears had been jaguard or stalker cuz more damage Meow

as for regen in death shroud i guess it will be a choice between reanimator now merged with death nova versus that new self Healing trait that makes you heal in DS. While most of you non death necro wont give a heck about it us minion masters are most interested. Still im even more curious about what they will give to the blood tree

If i leave GW2 it wont be for this long i just want to try out ESO and see whats in there for me. I still like how GW2 is playing but the lack of new content (other then scarlet wich i didnt even bother to start) is boring me so ill come around when some more is in there.

well ill likely take that 30 point death magic new trait just so i can invinci MM the things out otherwise ill consider death nova again. Still my biggest hope is for the beast mastery grandmaster trait… this traitline needs a heavy damage booster.

why run this trait? to run minion master of course… i was running 30 in death magic only because of death nova poison application but poison has little purpose in pve. Im still curious about what they doing to the death line.. i realy hope they dont make MM weaker as a result of this however…

Im already running cleric minion master… with this trait ill be unstoppable 8D (no seriously MM dont need any actual glass cannon gear you want support gear mainly so cleric apo or shaman)

bah it just means we minion master finaly have a good reason to go all the way to 30 in death magic now not only will we heal like pigs from vampiric master and regeneration we also will keep Healing while in death shroud. I will laugh at my near immortal state (you try to kill me in spvp? Good luck i already overheal most damage + even if you reach my 25% ill go into stasis from svanir and then heal at a moment notice the second i get out of the ice block ;P… buying times) I see this grandmaster trait as a testament to the death magic based specialities.

I just hope this wont spell a huge nerf of necromancer in general

Necromancer will finaly fill the niche of the ultimate sustain class in the game (i heal for around 300+ per seconds from pets and add to this near perma regeneration now ill also heal in death shroud… good)

guardian low hp give it +3k…. sounds legit to me in a pvp bunker build

While marksmanship got this crap please consider the CDI revolved mostly around our pet and how useless it was. Several people asked for the aspects other asked for a total removal and other such as me recommanded a major pet stat scaling buff to power critical damage and other stats wich so far made the pet crappy. Before judging them on what they done to marksmanship i want to know what they will do for beast mastery and skirmishing traitlines. Beast mastery grandmaster trait behing so far useless (i go 30 only because i want to have +300 not for the grandmaster) i can see them puting some heavy pet damage bonus in the balance as a grandmaster

Pet now have a 300 aoe radius on all attack and gain 30% of all ranger stat (finaly pet actualy can serve a purpose!)

7% is not enought i said several time trought the CDI pet needs at least 20% or 30% of its stat to be tied to the ranger itself

This doesnt increase longbow attack speed just the projectile movement, who cares if the Arrow is harder to dodge longbow deals so little damage nobody will ever bother to even dodge it o_O they need to change this trait to ‘’increase longbow attack speed by 25%’’ and name it ‘’wild quiver’’ because nobody will ever bother to get this trait in the first place. Im still waiting to see what skirmish and beastmastery will offer.

well with trait refund in the middle of dungeons class will be able to switch type between battle at will the same as in GW1 towns. Makes having multiple armor set in inventory actualy usefull. Ill likely still be running MM but at least i will be able to switch on dumb boss like alpha who just outright insults my zoo builds.

Seriously no flesh golem? Lich is horrible by default (why run lich when you deal same damage in death shroud and actualy even better damage out of it) and running plague in a power build is not realy good (no condition damage and you want to run plague wich is totaly based on condition damage unless you want to perma blind i dont think so.)

If you want maximised dps you will likely run flesh golem for its charge damage not to mention the golem is permanant and needs no actual management.

4 way to make your life easy

1. run a necromancer minion master (while managing minions effectively and playing the build to its best is harder then letting them roam freely and auto attacking basic minion mastery like most pet zoo is simple to play and got one of the best sustain in the game (easily around 700 hp+ per second—- 250 from regen 96 per minion with about a maximum of 6 to 9 minion on the field so 96 x ‘’9 or 6’’ + 250 per second). Running a minion master in spvp with a good level of skill however can make you somewhat fearsome (hance the reason so many bad players cry against it while in pve the damage is not enought to make a fuss about).

2. run a warrior with Healing signet in a tankish build

3. run a guardian

4. Run svanir runes so that 1 hit KO moves you fail to dodge dont instantly kill you and you can evade death about once per minute. (svanir also is a wonderfull way to troll in spvp when running MM)

5. Do both run a simple build and svanir runes.

Minions who are constantly healed with life transfer/ regeneration and have the +50% health bonus dont die this easily… generaly i can even take the time to blow up my bone minions before they even reach 25%. This fight is also full of fodder for reanimator, did you try minion master yet?

I lose one minion every once in a while but very rarely do i loose them all at the same time. Condi necromancer dont heal the party but from a point of view they indeed bring good damage, dont dismiss my damage as weak however i still got dagger/focus and deal at least 2k+ periodic damage from minion alone unbuffed. add to this my own damage im still doing a fair 5k+ DPS wich for a support/control hybrid build is quite good not to mention the partywide regeneration condition removal and vulnerability stacks. I respect condimancer as dps but beside off theyre damage i dont see any much use for them in a party. Dagger power builds actualy are likely better then both. Minion master isnt a build that deals that much dps and wouldnt be much of help in a meta party but does have the best sustain the necro class got as well as excellent crowd control, I dont run minion master in a meta party but in general i wont run a meta party unless i feel like playing my warrior or my guardian.

Minions are utility in themselves because they take hits for the party. Beside theyr bleed stacking (other class in the party might also bring in bleed its just sad the maximum is 25) i dont see what condi necro brings.

totaly doable the same as i carry lvl 2 from guilds in fractals just make sure you got a party whos agreeing with your goals.

I have little caring for if the team is a speedrun or not i just enjoy a good fight with some people i dont know socialise say hello to lupicus, ressurect people who dies when it happens. I dont feel any responsability toward people who runs meta in pugs, One has to calculate the risk of running his build in an unorganised team and if it just wont work must adapt in consequance. Just because one person in the pug (not the leader) runs a meta build doesnt mean everyone is at fault for running something else and making the fight longuer, some people enjoy it the way it is. As many elitist says you run a build depending on the damage you think you will take and if you think you will take next to no damage go ahead why not. You are in no way responsible for what happens to others in a pug as there is no actual way to coordinate an organised team most of the time, long as you play to the best of your ability why have any regrets? If you aint happy about the team composition there is specific LFG around for that too.

Some cares little about builds others makes it a way of play. I feel one skill isnt limited to maximised effectiveness but how well he can run his favored build. It is only a personnal opinion but i can actualy see arts in build designing. One should be judged on how well he plays and not on his actual choice of build, I wont judge a bearbow ranger until i see how well he plays in a dungeon.

Expect nothing from others and enjoy the run to the fullest thats my moto for pugging.

If your definition of fun is making money fast and getting quick instance fine by me i dont care for either of this. I got over 800 gold waiting in my bank with nothing interesting to do with it so im just running fractals on my favorite builds. I dont think most people run meta because they like it but because its the most effective build around. I run meta rarely but i do from time to time altrought ill still majoritarily run even arah with my custom builds. Most people care only about getting the stuff done so why should i bother breaking my head running something i dont like when i can run something i like to the same results in a pugged party. As many people said everyone is free to run what they want to run.

Tbh i consider myself a dedicated player. There will always be someone better then you are but this doesnt excuse you for not doing your best. In most game where hardcore player are at top most player who actualy perform in pve are not the actual good players but generaly the Lucky one in the same guild as them. Ive seen a lot of noobs with end game gear because they where carried by better player then them. Behing geared in end game hardcore MMO is more a question of behing in the right guild at the right time then actualy behing good.
