When a widely accepted strategy involves repeatedly running in and essentially suicide bombing the boss, there is something wrong.

If you think that’s wrong. Ask Anet to fix the boss regen when there are no players around.

I honestly dont’ know how hard it is for you. But I find it hard to believe people actually find it hard. I usually pug, and I dont’ see other people having problem.

Legendary imbued shaman is much harder than this boss atm even if you can’t kill the ice thing at the top.

I’m not sure what your intention is. But it’s quite comical to see people saying a dungeon is too hard just because they can’t solo it or speed clear in a few second.

No, you DO NOT necessarily make a profit. Sometimes you do, sometimes you don’t.

The other day I opened 3 chests and got exactly 0 money back because all I got was boosters and other useless crap.

ya I’m going on the same streak. Quite depressing.

I’m really just farming skill points, else I won’t be going through this boring kitten.

I have a hard time getting skill points. The only other good source of skill points is open world champ bag farm(or chest train), Which is so boring I just don’t do them.

I doubt Anet will release it again in dragon coffer. Since it is released before in black lion ticket. So I doubt Anet want to devalue the price.

So most likely even if Anet release the item again, you are still looking at the price tag of 1 black lion ticket, which isn’t cheap.

If you key farm regularly, you should just buy stacks and stacks of item before hand.

Besides saving time, you also don’t need to worry about price fluctuation. And you should just craft the same item everytime and memorize it to speed things up.

It helps if you have the collection expander since items can stack up to 1500. I rarely need to restock and even if I do, I just restock up to 1500.

There is very little time you need to place buy order. Usually when item stock get low (like 500), I just right click on the item and place 4 250 orders which takes a few second. And it is very rare you need to do so.

You can farm skill points too. Instead of just farming keys, in 2 hours you can also farm 60 more skill points.

Weather that is worth it depends on if there’s good promotion at the time.

That being said skill farming is getting nerfed soon.

But looks especially good now since the buy order of weapon is at 110 gold. And the ticket rate is higher at this time.

I think people used to run guardian because there’s no lvl10 requirement before. The video is nothing special.

I think Anet should fix it. Just because soloing arah have become such a huge part of the game. There are like 20+ people soloing arah in my guild and we aren’t even a dungeon guild. My guild is more a social guild.

That being said, just because you can’t solo a dungeon dont’ mean it is a bug. Those good players can still solo Lupi but might not be able to do it with all class.

I don’t even know why Anet keep making this easy dungeon which is suppose to be 5 man.

I honestly dont’ know the answer to that. Because if a bow ranger is dealing like 20% less damage while not needing to sacrifice dps for dodging and running, I dont’ think it’s so bad.

1200+ range = out of party boons, especially might restacking

I won’t speak for dungeons, because that is so easy, probably anyone should be meleeing and try to do max dps.

But purely speaking for high level fractal. Most pug are doing so poorly on boss fight, 5 bearbow probably out dps them.

Pretty much this. Just because you are min maxing dont’ make you a good player.

I can wear berserker max dps traits and die 10 times in a fight. That dont’ make me a good player.

And some of those min maxer who die constantly is more annoying IMO. They are probably better of getting a bit of defensive traits.

Quite honestly, almost all my money is made from skill point. It’s not necessary the best way to make money. But it’s the most fun. Since I can play however I want since almost everything gives skill points.

Try to use it. SP is pretty much gold.

And many times when SP dont’ seem profitable, it can serve to “save money”.

For example, you have tier 5 blood but want tier 6 blood. Instead of selling the tier 5 blood and loss out on tax. Promote it to tier 6. And you end up getting the tier 6 blood much cheaper.

Just because someone can carry a bad pug, doesn’t mean that they want to. That it is fun for them to do so.

And isn’t that what games are supposed to be? Fun.

So why should someone be forced to play with those that they do not wish to play with at that moment?

Well, people are always demanding other people to be good. They never take a look at themselves and see they are not that good too.

That’s all I’m saying.

Quite honestly, the way I see it, most of the QQing are from bad players about terrible players.

So players who wish to have a relatively quick and smooth run but don’t have a huge number of guild mates or friends on have to put up with someone who doesn’t mind taking the time to smell the roses? And neither of the two are in the wrong, both ways are valid ways to play the game. They just happen to be two opposing ways.

What would solve 75% of the problems is if everyone would respect LFG’s.

Players putting in what they want into the LFG. And players reading the LFG before joining. And then if they find they don’t meet the requirements, graciously leaving the party on their own.

What would solve 24% of the problems is if people who used the LFG realized that since it is PUG runs that get formed on the LFG, that you can’t expect every run to go as expected.

You can’t solve all of them as there will always be jerks and trolls.

It’s human natural. Nothing you can do.

and if the person can’t carry bad pug, that person are probably not that good too. Many of the solo dungeon time are faster than most pug.

you put a lfg asking for experienced people. They didn’t do much wrong except they are not experienced.

I presume you didn’t state you are at middle of dungeon.

LFG listing said: P2-Exp-3kAP-Heavy (at Lupi)
But also after they joined, I nicely asked if they could swap to heavies and that’s when I got kicked, I was even willing to deal with 1.8k and 2.2k and 1.2k ap (that’s roughly their ap) none above 3k

I dont’ even put AP requirement now. Some times I put AP requirement, and people get kittened of it. They’ll repeately join the party just so they can leave and make you repost.

Fortunately I got better at this game, so most of the easy dungeon/fractal I can get through even running with a bunch of new players.

Anet should probably add lfg filters or just hide AP. I dont’ think those new players appreciate to be left out of the group because of their AP.

If you want healers to matter, remove all skills number 6

Even then healers would still not matter in good parties.

If you want healers to truly matter you need to bring back the traditional “holy trinity” (which is still being used in modern games for a reason).

Pretty much. Anet could just nerf base healing. So unless people put stats in healing power, they can’t heal.

Also nerf might stacking and give monster more hp. So people dont’ kill boss with full might icebow in a few second.

Would probably make fractal 60 interesting if Anet did it.

- Now the optimal choice is zerker, but you can play with any stats. But you want to force people to play only with gear with healing power? Gear diversity much. What happen if I don’t have any healing power? I can’t use 1/10th of my skills and all those other skill and trait that give healing would be useless without the right gear?
- They just nerf might stacking less than 2 months ago, you want them to nerf it again? We can’t kill boss from fractal 50 in few seconds, niether several of the boss from Arah like Lupi. It’s normal dungeon that have some issue with that. It’s a content issue, nothing to do with might.

That’s why I suggest only do it for fractal 60. That’s for the hardcore people anyway.

I’m not telling you to use healing gear. I’m telling you to learn to dodge so you dont’ get hit.

The thing is the game is so easy already. And people are talking about buffing healing power etc. There was a video of a warrior dancing infront of subject alpha, and a staff water elementalist killing spider queen afk. You don’t need to buff healing power any more. (that was a while ago, and healing signet is nerfed a bit, and spider queen aoe in melee now).

Healing Power work perfectly. It’s not the fastest way, but the easiest.

I think that’s precisely why it is silly. It doesn’t matter how many dodges a person miss, or walking a red circle. You just don’t die.

I wear cleric/nomad gear on Mai Trin myself. And I have to say it is really silly. My reasoning is it doesn’t matter, since I almost do pug exclusively. And most of the time I spend 2-3 minutes just to take out the buff from Mai.

And even though I use berserker every where else. I some times take the easy way out and spec in force of will. That turns my hp from 11k to 18k. So when I make a mistake, and miss a dodge or block… I’m still at 9k-11k health. Which is the amount of health a max dps guardian have…

My point is it trivialize many interesting encounter. I don’t think that’s how the game is supposed to be played. Like, simply placing a few point into vitality traits, I can play badly and walk out fine.

Question for you, when you were able to find 1, did you send 4 to go scout for a second one or take out the target you found and go from there? Curious what worked better for your group. Thanks!

nah, I’m in a large guild.

We prefind bounties because we doing tier 3 and want the merit. And since we want to make sure have enough time for taxing people and everyone gets credit that’s why we do it.

I have no idea how long it take a 5 man group to kill a bounty. If you are already doing bounties for guild commendation, you should know that answer better than me.

But I did a rough calculation that base on the probabilities. If your 5 man group prefind bounties, you’ll have 50% chance you found none, 40% chance you found one, 10% chance you found both.

I’m not opposed of it.

Im saying I spend 30 minutes to prefind bounty every week.

And if you do what I did, your 5 man team have 50% chance that you’ll prefind 1 bounty already. So about 50% of the time all you need to do is kill 1 bounty and use the remaining time to find and kill 1 more.

And since you only need 30 merit to unlock trek?? I dont’ think it’s as unreasonable as you said.

That being said, I never tried 5 man bounties besides Michelle(since sparkfly is always full during teq time, we have a 5 man hunting there). So I’m not sure how hard it is to kill bounties with 5 man.

This is about a specific situation where the gold is locked away and impossible or very difficult to access (as in years to transfer over by sending gold alone). Not a situation where people have money in a retirement account that may take a few days to transfer over.

Most likely those people transfer their gold before Anet made the change.

And I think people are under the assumption it actually cause him/her a lot of gold. It’s only 2 million chest. Even if they bought every at 1 silver each, it only cost 20,000 gold. And it’s more like 15,000 gold since it start at 50 copper.

And your assumption is this is done by 1 person which may or may not be true. Not to mention they might use some automation tool so it’s not as tedious as you think(which is illegal).

And if for some miracle the account cleared all the black lion chest. He can actually use that account to buy things and move it to his main account.

And you say something like “why dont’ people just buy x item”. No one can perdict the future. If they can, everyone will be very rich. I’d like to know what item to buy now which have quick return and high profit. And guaranteed no lost.

You are demanding something you know is impossible to obtain. Nice try.

First off, if you read my comments fully, I included other recent anomalies in my argument as well. Not just the BLC’s.

No-one outside of people who work for Arenanet can provide evidence of anything in regards to what is going on. It is all speculation. I am merely stating that it is financially advantageous for Arenanet to make such moves. High volume items that carry a 15% transaction tax add up quickly in the gold sink.
There is no reason for them not to manipulate certain items which have floundered for a long period of time.

Then don’t act like that they are doing that. If you can’t prove it, don’t treat it as a fact.

He is just hypothesizing. Everyone hypothesize on things. Nothing wrong with it. I think it’s just a bit more serious because it is kind of accusation.

My hypothesis is some GW2 trading website is promoting flippers to flip black lion chest.

@Neural I honestly doubt black lion chest is a high volume item. If you think those 1 silver chest will have a dent on gold sink with tax. Just imagine what the content inside the black lion chest can sell for.

All those black lion skins, minis, nodes, dyes probably have much more effect on gold sink.

I thought it’s some trading website. Basically someone bought items X in massive amount. And tell people to buy it after.

Basically flippers telling flippers to hoard things and cut down the supplies.

And those flippers tell flippers on reddit and GW2 forums “oh wow, look at how much this item rises”. Better stock things up.

It’s kind of like a pyramid scheme. But if there are people after you that fall for it, you can still make money. If you are at the end of it, probably not.

There might be diminishing return(not sure). So make sure to kill something outside sparkfly in between tequalt if you want to ensure that you aren’t hit by it.

If you had spent 1 gold in BLT by then, you would have 5-10.000 BLT. Now, if you sell this for 1,6 silver each, you would have 80-160 gold. AFAIK, 80-160 gold >>>>> 20 gold.

That is 8 month ago. I could say the same thing about hallowean shield. This just happened recently.

Any economist here?

I dont’ know why people keep talking about demands.

It’s not like demands drive up the price of black lion chest or mystic coin. People arn’t even crafting legendaries now since they are waiting for the expansion.

Just look at dwayna’s recipe. It stays 20 gold for a whole year, and wintersday spike up more instead of dropping.

It’s not that the demand suddenly spiked. It’s just there are not much supplies entering the economy.

Flippers rule the worlds! Nothing you can do about it. Oh ya, quartz crystal will only go up. No one is doing dry top, and home instance only supply a few a day.

and I don’t know why people keep blaming flippers. If I told you the price of x item will sky rocket tomorrow, you’ll buy it too. Hack, most people complained about flippers probably flip or invest item before in GW2.
