there is no dodge animation for this new Tonic..

Meanwhile Thieves can crit you for 10k + with Bound (a dodge) from stealth. But tonics are a problem.

Thats the problem, doesnt have to do with any other OP skill or whatever you come up with.
A normal Evade should have a animation, Tonic does not.

Alright, I’m sorry for being rude.

But on the other hand, it ain’t very constructive either to take turns in saying “yeah, 100b sucks balls”.

But to add something useful (finally):
Yes, 100b in GW1 used to give you additional hits, whether you hit or not (that was especially good since Warr would get blinded all the time). But damage was rather small.
I could imagine them adding immobilizing or at least crippling to 100b like in flurry. That would be a rather minor change and could still be dodged by skillful players who react fast. So it wouldn’t be OP.

Yeah the dmg should be small indeed if it would be extra hits on other skills.. but when thinking about it i dont see this ever happen.. because me as a PVP player would love tho see stuff like this i can understand PVE players would hate it.. they ofc want to do massive 100b hits :-P

About cripple:
Thats not a bad idea! a soft CC wouldnt be groundbreaking or anything but could be helping a little.. just like flurry indeed.

I didnt played Guildwars 1, but it seems 100b used to give you extra hits with other attacks? this looks pretty good to me.. maby very OP in combination with WW..
WW + 100b (extra hits) would be very devasting..

But maby they could undo the old 100b Nerf? where they removed allot of dmg from the first hits to the last hit?

No i dont suspect they will change it that easy no.
But we can have a discussion about it what ppl think about it.
You dont want it to be changed because deal with it. ok thanx for your constructive feedback. but maby others do and there are allot more ppl beside those who post it.

About the animation, yeah it would look weird a mobile 100b, but the animation team creates some awesome animations, they even remade allot of old skills with new animations so this shouldnt be a hold back.

Maby they could make the animation something like the underwater spear animation Mariner’s Frenzy? who knows.

But next time if somebody try to have a discussion about it dont come in and just say deal with it. very rude tho say atleast and non constructive feedback also.

Sooo uhm.. is it just me or is 100b getting old compared to HOT stuff?
I think they should make it faster or slow mobile (like guardian..)

A normal 100b without quickness doesnt do any good vs downed ppl, because you can ress faster/more.
And is it still valid to say it doesnt deserve some form of mobility? the moments where you completely misses every hit because target is just out of reach like 10 range.. so you have to break the skill or your standing 3,5SEC doing nothing is just absurd. happens pretty often.

Seeing how it isn’t a balance related patch as per their balance patch timeline…

Even if its a balance related patch they fail…
Just look at the latest balance patch.. Tons of minor boring stuff changed so it looked like a big patch.. And we wait 3+ months for this crap QoL changes.. Often only 1 class has a weapon improvement.. Now look how much weapon skills or utilities are trash.. This will takes years for Anet!

I dont understand why brutal shot combined with warriors spring dosent break immobilization…isnt it a movementskill?

“movement skills,” i.e. they force the character to change position as part of the skill’s action.

Psssst… it breaks immob without the trait.
And it did with trait also.. if it doesnt anymore than its a bug.

Rifle still lacks some piercing since they removed it from the trait

  1. Aimed Shot
    >Good: the vuln stacks because the sync with AA.
    >Bad: Traited or not this skill does not pierce.
    Why not add piercing on this skill? its a low dmg/cripple skill, where cripple is already pretty bad in this game. i often waste time using this skill to not cripple my target because pets etc
  1. Brutal Shot
    > Good: Immob/ 8x vuln / evade
    > Bad: Slow casttime for evade skill, and again no piercing.
    Maby i ask too much to add piercing on both Aimed Shot and Brutal Shot so maby 1 would be enough. But atleast make it faster because the casttime is way too slow when you really want to evade something.

All multi hit attacks proc Confusion multiple times it really stupid but it is across the board.

No, they dont. Rapid fire doesnt proc confusion 10 times. Volley doesnt proc 6 times. HB doesnt either.

It does for UA but not for volley and 100b.

So thats why i wonder why there is so much difference between these skills, they all should work the same..

So UA should trigger only 1 confusion and not 5 like the rest or the rest should get more confusion also, stuff like this should be balanced and clear.

I can confirm the 360 arc change isn’t working like the patch notes state. Not sure about the Daze duration but the animation speed is faster now.

Hello all,

I have a question about UA on Rev how it functions because it seems this skill works as 1 attack sometimes and other times as multiple attacks.

It counts as multiple attacks with stuff like:
-Vicious Lacerations (gain 2% dmg boost on attack) > so you get 5 stacks
-the Might gain from UA > so you get 5 might
-Confusion > you get 5 times confusion (been reading this)

So i ofc wonder what happens with todays patch:
Enchanted Daggers: Attacks that are blocked or evaded will now remove stacks of Enchanted Daggers

I tested this with UA on evading target and it removes 1 stack (not 5 from the 5 UA strikes) So now UA is seen as 1 attack.

I am not QQ about this 1 attack in combination with UA/Enchanted daggers.
But stuff like this is just weird, there are too many skills like this that work totally different, it should be much clearer.

HAHAHAHAHA they even gave reveal to warrior, they don’t know how to buff this class anymore…they basically gave warrior everything…oh wait, they still need stealth and clones

Dont be scared, nobody would drop a single stance utility for a 30sec cooldown shout that only gives 10 vuln stacks and 4sec reveal.. lol

like 99% of all warriors go for:
3 stances or 2 stances + 1 from below:
1 physical > mostly Bulls charge
1 signet > mostly Might
1 rage > mostly Outrage

Just like rangers arrows since 4 years.

hammer bolts are no arrows.
And arrows mostly fly further because of terrain, this issnt the case for Hammer bolts. they just fly 1500 range no mather the terrain.

I’m still praying for off-hand scepter, main hand torch, main hand focus and more rifle specs. Rifle mainly because predator is my absolute favorite legendary but it gets little use.

You think there’s any possibility that anet will add new weapon skills outside elite specializations? i.e. mesmer pistol on-hand, revenant axe on hand, ranger dagger on hand, scepter off hand etc.? These could also add to core specs, current and future elite specs.

No i dont think they would add new weapon skills outside expansions/elite.
I would love to see improvements on old weapons :-(

Dagger/dagger might give us some nice fast playstyle.. would be nice.
But they could even update sword to give faster playstyle or make hammer better control weapon or whatever. its sad to see great weapons getting old

Powercreep..

Just compare warrior sword with HOT stuff.. it makes me cry seeing old warrior weapons doing kitten dmg/cc/sustain.. they all used to be viable but now they are kitten compared to HOT.

Hammer > trash CC nobody cares anymore about your slow CC chain.
Sword > power/condi both terrible dmg and stupid missing cripple and terrible slow#3
Axe > PvE .. meh dmg nothing more
Mace > single target, pretty decent but nothing more.
GS > yeah its because #3 and #5, both AA and 100b does kitten dmg (100b takes forever. go 100b a downed player lol! even ressing is more powerful then 100b)
Rifle > good burst, mostly single target, terrible AA.. gimmick can be decent but Rev does it better or thief.
Longbow > has its role on capture point > Aoe.. but Necro does it 10 times better.

this all because of HOT

I could go into the mathematics (discrete combinatorials) of balancing this game, it is not straightforward nor simple.

You ask how do we keep pvp community alive..
I say more communication and balancing whould be a good start and than you reply with its not simple…

Uhm ok. well maby a Dev could talk on the forum and start talking and let them see they care.. is that hard? then comes the balancing, sure they could make mistakes but thats why they need to do more balancing in between not this 4 times in a year lets shift meta and be done with it style.

It says 1200 range but its atleast 1500 range.

Stuff like this give Rev unfair advantage.
Bullets disappear after 1200 range unlike arrows.. but hammer bolt also disappear but after 1500 range.

If this is intended than change the tooltip or make it a real 1200 range

I am a multiclasser and it is quite easy to kill a revenant. With mostly every class.

Only if its condi.

Classes that use a power builds are pretty hard counterd by revenent if its not a thief.

I think a staff would’ve been more interesting and appropriate, but “spellbreaker” sounds interesting to me depending on what they do with it.

If they add more spear-staff skins than yes Staff could be nice..
But then you have Nevermore skins.. does that look nice on warrior? :-P

I dont think dagger/dagger would really fit a warrior.. let alone a dagger/shield style..
Warriors already have swords and greatsword, why on earth would they cripple themselves to use a smaller version? but thats my opinion ofc.

And spellbreaker? is that boon ripping/CC stuff or something? not sure what this could be..

I really think they should add new weapons because soon warriors will use pistols and after that its going downhills into more magic style staff/focus/scepter.. doesnt look good. so in the end i think dagger/dagger would be atleast the best choice from the weapons there are left… if they do add new stuff i would really like a greataxe and spears.

Maybe if some (most?) other classes wouldn’t have 101 passive defenses which make them almost untouchable, AND at the same time damage close or on par to thieves’, the thieves wouldn’t actually run away?

A warrior do have that and a warrior can still wear nike shoes.

Yeah and my neighbour has a bigger house.

If you remove warrior nike shoes than whats left of warrior? a inferior guardian.
Remove Thief mobility than whats left?
If you remove mesmer teleport than whats left?

Sorry but there is balance and there is whining because you dont have it.

Ps, here is a little tip: immob warrior while they use rush (not before) this will kitten them up. and if they used berserker stance then big deal let him run.

I dont main a Rev,

But what i hate about is stuff like:

- “Precision Strike” auto hit (no target no aiming nothing)..
this skill doesnt involve any placement/timing you just press it while walking away and the projectiles auto hit.

-“Assassin’s Annihilation” (creates very powerfull AA like hammer) but my problem about this trait is that it should only work on behind/side.. now this issnt the only trait that works like this but have you ever seen how big the “side” is? you can even hit from the front but slighty to the side and it counts as an side it.. just by walking left or right (as a Rev) it will count as side hit.

-“Enchanted Daggers” as a life steal i think this utility does way too much dmg.
If it wassnt a lifesteal i would not have any problems because you can counter with stuff like endure pain. but this lifesteal ignore’s allot more and does very high burst dmg for a healing skill. maby up the healing but down the dmg?

When they change some of this stuff so Power Rev doesnt wreck any power build that easy only than they could buff Rev to counter condi more.
If they add more condi counter to Rev right now they would wreck any power and condi builds (maby only thief would left that could kite them)

As a healing skill, it’s extremely unreliable and does NOTHING if you get cc locked or can’t attack for whatever reason, it gets blocked or reflected.

so i have to CC / evade / walk away (no you cant walk away from shiro) for 15 sec?

Ps if i blocked your ED then is doesnt consume your ED. only reflect maby could be a way to counter it but you can stop attacking my reflect and go on after it because well.. 15sec active time..

Yes, a lot of skills consume charges on miss, but I don’t think many of those skills are also a dedicated heal for a class.

You cant dodge/evade/invull (endure pain etc doesnt work vs life steal) for 15 sec..
So yeah Enchanted daggers 100% hit in those 15 sec.. or the Rev have to walk away ofc.

-Pretty old boring main page..
-Same old low graphic Red header since start..
-Very old information about classes what they do etc.
-Still beta stuff like Hall of monuments (who cares..)
-Buggy cheap forum.
-etc

I know they dont want to spend too much money/time on the website but kitten is it so hard to atleast refresh it a little??

I dont think its really worth putting much resources in. Although I would approve of a forum overhaul, intel-wise the That_Shaman reddit and Dulfy do a much better job than anet at providing all the news and tidbits.

Indeed it doesnt have to be a big overhaul.. but a new header and better news/main site like dulfy does or something would be nice. and the forum really should be removed and just put in a better reddit like version.. (try search in forum lol)

Maby its just me getting bored seeing this same site for 4+ years now :-)

Condi wars have passive 25% movement speed, some professions don’t get it and other to get a passive mov speed will lose loads of sustain, dmg or both
Condi wars can slot both LB or sword/torch do you call that lack of aoe pressure? are you trolling me?
Condi wars still use adrenaline health and signet do you call that lack of sustain?…just wft really…

God almighty…..warriors have been spoiled so much by Anet that they really think to be barely viable..instead than completely kittening OP AF

not defending condi warr but its not that black and white:
-25% movement speed is only for melee weapons, most condi builds use longbow. and it cost a trait so its not just for nothing.

-Only longbow is really AOE and torch, Sword/mace is not really

-Power warr use Adrenaline health and HS also (like every warr duh) do you think power warr has that much sustain also?

If warrior is OP like you say, you would have seen more warrior in ESL, correct me if i am wrong but there where none.

Dont get me wrong i think warrior is pretty good balanced (where they could have moved the sustain to multiple traits and not only all into adrenaline health) but its not OP and not Anets baby like you say it is.

Leach goes through endure pain. Its not a condition. All rev skills that leach including sigil of leeching goes right through endure pain its broken.

No this issnt bugged. endure pain doesnt stop you from life steeling.

Was it even fixed or? i dont use shield anymore but this couldnt be the case you have casted shield bash before the immob? (like immob during Rush) if not i would add this back again on the list.

Been there since the last balance patch. Unless they fixed it on monday or tuesday when I was gone it’s still there, and looking at the bug fixes, there was no patch during that time.

Like the pull on “spear of justice” still pulls you while dodging.
I know engie could do a pull but if you dodged you didnt get pulled just knock down, “spear of justice” even pulls you while your dodging.
Not sure if this is a bug or what?

So a few things i am frustrated about the gw2 stream:

-Its very dark.. too dark! why?? this frustrates me the most!

-Is Effect LOD turned on? because kitten its so flashy everywhere..
(1v1 is good to follow but from 2v2 and up its just total cluster kitten, cant follow anything)

-Less camera swapping pls! it takes time for us (atleast for me) to follow a duel/2v2 or whatever and when i finally realize what is happening you swap again, its so frustrating

-Can you remove the red/dark borders from the screen? its nice when you play the game but not while spectating.

Well, the man has a point. Although CA is actually the broken thing of Druids, not the Staff. If you increase the cooldown on staff #3 the weapon is just fine.

Btw, (posted this on wiki also some months ago) but the AA on staff does around 20-25% more dmg compared to tooltip..
So even a bunker druid does pretty good AA dmg with non reflecting projectiles (beams..) they count as single melee attacks also so they break block skills like counterblow and are great vs blind because the pulsing..

Ow and they cant miss/strave or strafe? sorry bad english..

So a pretty kitten good AA attack for sure :-)

One of the problems is this:

Players click the “Bug” link in the bug template, that takes them to the bug page, and the Bug category.

And they see all those bugs, many of which are preventing them from completing stuff, then they go to the tracker, and none is there.

I think like 90% from these bugs are tooltip bugs..
Not really an issue, but also not much work to fix i think?..

What i dont get is that the tooltips are not automatic made/read from the skill..
Because if a skill pierces but its not on the tooltip you know they manually made those tooltips (same goes for the dmg part wich is often wrong also)

I am no programmer, but issnt it possible to let tooltips read the skill so they create there own tooltip? maby i dont see the big picture here :-)
