True shot > 20% dmg nerf > pierces
> 17% more dmg on skill 3
> 25% more dmg on skill 4
> 33% more dmg on skill 5 last hit, but you can dodge it now < you better should be dodging it now also.. so call it a nerf but its a good dodge bait

Gunflame > 20% dmg nerf > no more piercing

Basically, it means that if something is supposed to be immune to damage, you can’t life steal from it anyway.

It will still ignore armor and other damage reductions, but, for example, you won’t be able to harm a Ranger using Signet of Stone that way.

But why does Rev still steal while Endure pain is active?
I still dont see what has been changed on life steal skills.. what i do see different is that its bugged on sigils like blood and leeching

We all knew thsi was coming. I don’t see the point in crying about it. Personally i thought Gunflame was stupidly overpowered for one skill. It was a gimick that got popular for lack of any other options. . Be thankful you now have some sustain

So do i but then why remove the pierce effect?
Its our Burst skill that now doesnt even pierce.. while many other normal skills on other classes does pierce.
Btw even True shot still pierce… < this skill was nerfed for the same reason in WvW but why only nerf gunflame 2 times?

I also dont like that there is no compensation on the AA, look at Longbow AA > 33%!!

What i also dont like is that ANET mentioned that rifle is all about Killshot/gunflame and volley. so most dmg is in those 2 skills. then they nerf it hard..

Take a look at rifle primal burst..
Equip it with 3500 dmg and without burst mastery 2650..

when you swap signets, you do get the passive buff…. but
when you activate the signet and its back from cooldown you see the passive buff does not come back.

Scrapper runes are certainly great on the warrior, but they aren’t in the running for best burst. Scholar’s up there though.

I know they aint for burst ofc, best burst runes where no runes > orbs… in the days before the ferocity nerf (and mostly crappy runes also lol)

And about weapon skills:

-I prefer a 15sec rifle butt over a 25sec launch, but again also this skill should be faster.

-Gunflame/killshot/arcing slice not sure if i really like the DoT it does.. i prefer a 1 big hit over DoT that can be cleansed also (even when its not a real condition)

In regards with the defy pain change:
Current defy pain activates the stance at a dangerously low HP threshold (25%). At this time, you’ve done all you could and you are forced to retreat because taking further damage after the stance is up would mean the death of you. Furthermore, it’s on a 60 second cooldown so now your ability on the frontline is diminished in the event that your HP drops below 25% during the cooldown.

The change strives to enhance warrior’s tankiness on the battlefield by negating large spikes, even for just a second. (E.g. someone tries to spike you with a high damage move- you negate the damage and any subsequent damage for 1 second and the trait goes on a 15 second cooldown). The removal of the stun breaker is due to the consideration that a stun break every 15 seconds would be marginally over powered.

Woeps sorry i was confusing defy pain with endure pain.. but yeah something like this would be better on defy pain, agree.

Occasionally it doesn’t play the muzzle flash visual. This would cause the side-effect of it not playing its audio as audio for effects, such as the muzzle flash, is paired with the visuals. Thanks for the report.

Females chars doesnt kneel down for whatever reason while males does.. It should be the other way around but well ;D

For real tho, yes, it making it harded to spot, if it wasnt for selfroot it would be troublesome to spot sometimes. They need to change that.

Yeah but with this you could also stand still doing AA to lure dodges (let others think you do true shot ) and do some true shots inbetween.

I just saw it for myself and there is no difference between auto attack or true shot animation on Human Female (seems like there is none for sylvari female and norn female also)

Even on Asura you see the difference, looks very unfair to me..

Sure it sucks, but get over it..

Think you’ll find a lot of people have or are getting over it, along with getting over this game into something either newer, shinier, or a better track record. For some like myself, it’s not a matter of canceling (or PR speak of Suspended Indefinitely), it’s a matter of another broken promised feature listed right on the HoT site.

I think GW2 will survive this, but I’m gonna take Mike’s advice and not trust what they say anymore.

As for OP, nice thought but considering nobody techinically lost anything, I doubt ANET will give anybody anything other than a recommended gemstore purchase.

So now you dont trust anet for telling us? So you rather want them waste more time (months/years) to make this stuff only so they dont break there promise they made? And in the end wasting allot of time fixing the bigger part of the game… Well sir i rather have the way Anet is doing now on my work then the other silent/wasting time just because they dont want to break a promise.
The only big fault here is that Anet should have seen this coming… And they should never make a promise if they are not even sure if they can even deliver it. That is indeed very bad from them.

Legendary weapons are just as much a part of the game as anything else.

No its not, the skins are, but the skin issnt the problem, its the collection that kills dev time. Only for a few players, and even those 1-2% players only do 10-20% of the total work Anet put in for it, so no i dont agree that this is a real part of the game.
Sure its sad, but this game is dying…. I rather have them spending time on wvw/pvp/pve then those collection stuff

Agreed. Actually wanted to dislike the video, but apparently he hid behind a safe wall.

Actually I think he made a valid point. Anet knows how many players by percentage have even 1 legendary. They know how many have 2.

If they create 16 legendary journeys, what they’re doing is creating content that most people will never do. It’s not really like a dynamic event or even a dungeon or fractal. It’s a long term goal that many people either can’t reach or can’t be bothered going for.

Saying that he doesn’t have numbers is quite irrelevant because Anet does have those numbers and they made the decision.

If you go WvW then gs/rifle (and for range pve ofc)
Dungeons is all about dmg so gs/axe+mace (mace offhand for vuln stacks)
If you go PVE then i should go for GS/sword+shield or warhorn (because of the mobility…) this mobility can be fun in WvW also.

no need for:
-Axe offhand, its meh
-Hammer is meh since HOT, it still has some use in pvp
-Mace mainhand is for PVP only and some use for WvW roaming

- longbow is mostly only for condi (rifle is much better for power)
- sword offhand is only for condi

No berserker is not needed yet, go Core warrior traits first!

So i would stick to Strength / Defense / discipline + armor
After that slowly learn berserker.
Made some basic “PVE” build for you with exotic gear, you can use this for pretty much every gamemode, its should give you enough dmg and sustain in pve and dungeons, this gear is good for wvw also, for Raids you have to upgrade for better gear (ascended.. + more dmg runes)

Why are they soooo annnoying to play!! 4 layer maps like Tangled Depths are so FRUSTRATING! really NOT fun.. Always checking your map where you are if your too much down or up or whatever and then you are too much behind and have to go aaaaaaaaaaaaaal the way back.. no clear paths and tooo much mobs around, the 4 layer maps are so so frustrating, this is why its taking me so long to even play HOT because i hate those maps.

I really hope they will never ever make 4 layer maps again!

This site is pretty old / not updated (just check professions and you see) / bugs / no 1 theme

-The pulldown ‘Community’ is empty on most pages (see the pulldown when your on guildwars2.com/en/ and now check it again from forum-en.guildwars2.com/forum)
-‘Support’ in the top head and ‘support’ from the pulldown ‘Services’
-Maby remove support in the top head and also the rest of those links, “wiki” could be below ‘community’ just like ‘forum’ should be below ‘community’
-‘online manual’ should be below ‘game’
-Allot of the HOT stuff should be visual from the normal page also, like revenant missing in the ‘professions’
-Why is ‘HOT’ not a link below ‘releases’ ??? i cant find any decent link to the HOT page
-‘News’ page should have the same look as the news on the main page, main page is much better

no 1 theme:
When you view the main page and then swap to lets say Pro League / Partner program / support, they all have a different look.


Forum:
-make it more like reddit so you could use the gw2 forum instead of using reddit?
-fix the search option
-something that bugs me.. we have the news on the main page, and also news in forum (in forum is pretty old stuff or almost never used..)

Sorry to say this but this wouldnt do much for warriors.

1: remove conditions above 75%? pls no! we dont want more passive stuff, i rather have an active condi cleanse that I can control like the CI now, but i agree that it could be reworked on spending adrenaline (just like adrenal health could be reworked on SPENDING adrenaline… not gaining.. )

2: Not sure what this will do for warrior, with berserker elite and CI + burst mastery AND adrenaline on swap i get so much adrenaline.. even if they rework this it wouldnt do anything for us in pvp.

3:more healing on HS? sorry but this is the reason why we fail so hard in pvp…
HS issnt the issue for warrior, even if they increase it to 450hps, sounds good but do you really think you dont get bursted down after your stances are used? a 50-100hps more doesnt do anything.


There are tons of ideas and suggestions made here by warrior players, that should be looked at.. (stances/shout heal/ and trash traits like thick skin.. rework idea’s for adrenal health/CI etc etc.. allot of them could help warriors.. a 50hps more on HS would not.

It is easy to defend now – jeez. Arrow carts that don’t have to be able to see to hit people?

Shield Generators, chilling fog, NPC’s who are buffed, Walls that are harder to knock down(more HP) and T3 gates you can’t man mode, and I could go on.

How easy do you want it to defend? It is harder to actually take a keep now.

well i want to be effective even without siege..
right now you either getting pulled or you have to completely ignore using your own skills because they dont hit.

so in the end they force us to use siege equipments right now. does that sounds good for you? that your longbow/range stuff is just completely trash because a design fail?

Alpine hills and bay walls had edges that prevented you from falling off.

I even remember Devs saying they would improve the walls even more.. but than somehow they made it even worse in the desert maps.. Anet.. why?

Now i have to stand on the edge to even hit someone, but this will get you pulled from it.
Also more walls need a small below wall so people wont hide in the blind spot. (we see this on some walls)

If he can choose then the whole map turns into a grieving match. One person will be constantly pulled, against his will, over and over into a buttrape room.
How do you think that would end?? He will afk/dc out to get away from that bs. This makes the ground game 4v3, because The dueler now picks the next victim to abuse and this keeps happening until everyone has afk/dced out of the match..

The cd’s are not the issue sins they are almost the same.
The problem lies in
A full zerker war that spams skill 1, with rifle does more damage then a full condi war that spams 1 with longbow. Butyeah its hard to compare condi weapons with raw dps weaps

Is this a problem of the AA or the Condi trait?

-If you buff AA you also buff power builds and making longbow AA (more)better then rifle AA
-if you buff the condi trait it would do no change for power builds but does bring the AA for condi more in line.

So this issnt a AA problem here, its the trait.

A very bad idea.

There’s currently several problems with builds that are too good at solo 1v1 dueling.

No single build should be able to heal 20% of their health per second while under poison, soak up damage with summons, or evade repeatedly, while also dealing tons of damage. Any build capable of doing that is broken, yet we have them around, and are widely exploited by unskilled players to simulate actual skill.

Every single build should have a counter, yet we don’t see this at all. You would think, for example, than a condition removal necromancer would do good against boon spamming builds like the ones tempest or scrapper usually have. By no removal can keep up with how fast they can reapply their boons and lose conditions.

The very attribute and skill system isn’t working like that. We would require a complete revamp of core mechanics to start seeing any semblance of actual balance.

Because of that, such a mechanic would allow players to single out enemies with builds not meant for duels or greatly weaker against particular builds and take them out easily with little effort.

Or end up with silly cases of a couple of broken builds with way too much survivality against each other, just mashing each other for the rest of the fight without any of them getting ahead.

Some builds are not ment for duelling no indeed, but some classes/builds are not even ment to play on a capture node, so this mechanic could do something for those classes/builds.

Sure some duel builds would do better in the airship, but thats why they go for the airship to duel and help there team on the ground by summoning someone.

I cant help that there are broken builds, if builds would be more balanced then would you think something like this airship idea would be nice to have? maby for a shorter duration.. but i can see this mechanic being pretty nice and can really turn the fights around.. (where its now pretty much all stack and bunker the kitten out of capture points)

Does the summoner choose whoever he wants?? So he’ll keep picking the same guy to rolfstomp ?? Does the second player have a choice?? If so, the summoner could simply br left standing in the ship for 6min without anyone to fight.. 5vs4 map.. Weee

I think s duel mechanic would lead to alot of grieving.. And would also remove the team aspect of pvp.. Which is what the game mode is based on..

Would be nice with a 1v1 arena though, but it should be a seperate thing.
Best thing, imo, would be adding a proving grounds arena to the lobby. Where people sign up to fight openly. This gives player something to watch while in queue, and also gives bragging rights.
Though could also lead to alot of drama heheh

-Yes the summoner choose who he wants to summon (only 1)
-Yes he can keep picking the same person if he wants (and wins ofc)
-The second player doesnt have a choice no, he gets summoned and he can win or lose
-5v4? no both players are trapped into the airship, you cant leave only by dead, so its a -4v4 on ground and 1v1 in airship or
-5v4 on ground and 1v0 in airship (but this only hurts your own team if you dont summon someone..)
-Its still leaves the team part on the ground (4v4) and most of the time its still 5v5 on the ground.

The bottom line is that Dual Shot is far too slow for its damage output, and one or the other or both need to be addressed.

Did you compare dual shot with rifle auto attack? if so then both need update.
And if you think rifle is fine than so does Longbow, because they are both slow.

Secondary mechanic: Airship

Only 1 player can channel the Airship meditation at 6:00 time

After channeling the meditation it will send you alone to the airship that floats above the map, once inside you can not leave but you have a 1 time use of a summon device.
With this device you can summon 1 player of the opposite team to the airship:

-The player that wins the duel gets another use of the summon device (max 3 times)
-The player that lost the duel can respawn (with the normal respawn timer)
- If the player that used the summon device lost the duel he and his team gets a debuff
- you cant summon the same person twice
- If the same player wins 3 times in a row he gets removed from the airship
-The airship is active for 6 minutes only

What do you guys think? :-P

#1: Camera problems! thatd my main issue with skyhammer (some other maps)

When i play charr and stand on mid capture point i can hardly see whats going on. I think those capture points are just waay to small…

#2: Jump platforms, somehow it never works for me
#3: Less pillars/walls. Some are good but in skyhammer it feels like fighting the map instead of players

So do most people pick Eternal Champion for the stability or Bloody Roar for the damage?

PVP? well 100% stability for me…..
PVE > dmg

Berserker > Strength

Why?
Well strength maby give around 30-40% more dmg, but allot of that dmg you get back also while using berserker traitline. + berserker gives:

-Better burst skills
-More use of burst skills (more CI also)
-Less use of adrenaline
-Better utilities like Head butt (insane good in 1v1)
-Pretty good stability (so you can drop 1 utility for something else)

Also GS is often used as second weapon for the mobility and cleaving on dead while your main weapon (lets say rifle or axe) is used for the dmg part and pressure..

I know that its hard to drop the GS trait.. but that -20% cooldown reduction is something you hardly miss in the end..

So do you want little bit more dmg or more utility? > berserker
