Looks like not many people are using duel weapons on a Charr..

I can confirm this on my Charr as well. I’ll try it out on my human and post screens in just a sec.

Ok confirmed to be the case on just my Charr and no other characters.

Well, having mace/shield is an advantage I’d say.

- Sword/shield and mace/mace both “need” the sigil of paralysation. Whereas the sword/mace setup doesn’t have a use for it so it can use one extra sigil

- I’d say that mace/shield is the melee weapon and sword/mace the long range weapon. By long range I mean the set to use to gap close or do stuff at range like tremor, or both. So you do that, gap close, mess up a little with them, skull crack, switch back to sword/mace, final thrust then get ready to get out.

yeah i see the point for only 1 sigil of paralysation.

Also i get the point that sword/mace is good for gap closing.. but i cant see the total picture..

Is it like this: ?

>start with sword/mace > Tremor > leap
Switch to mace/shield
> auto attack > if needed do a daze or counter blow > F1
Switch to sword/mace
> auto attack and if below 50% > Final thrust
Repeat from above.

Is it like this?

What about this:

Start with Mace/mace
> tremor > F1
Auto attack (target will run away after 4sec stun)
Switch to sword/shield
>leap > shield bash > Final thrust

hmm nah nvm i see a problem here.. (target will not be at 50% health from this short combination..)

I have been looking at Defektive build runing m/sh + s/m..

But i wonder why not s/sh + m/m ??

Because:

Well to get 100% crit on Final thrust you will need unsuspected foe:
+15% stun on shield bash = 100% crit on final thrust.
And shield bash is on a very short distance, so with s/sh you can leap first > shield bash > final thrust

If you run sword/mace and do Tremor you dont get the extra 50%.. its a knockback.

Also i think its easier to mace/mace > Tremor > F1 stun = complete mace chain.

Lol just take it and get a Cleric’s amulet for fun..
Stand still against the warrior or guardian whatever.. only use shield stance for there burst sometime and they cant kill ya :-P funny (not the same as a real person but still nice..)

Running healing signet now in pvp with longbow/s+shield.. works great! (berserker amulet)

I see this problem on all Charr characters.. (did some testing on other classes.. couldnt find any problems.. but i am not sure of this for all) i think its because they fixed a clipping problem for the Charr class.. but they did it only on the main-hand (indeed only in stowed) but they didnt do it for the off-hand..

Also i think the main-hand weapon is WAY too small compared to the off-hand.
They did a bit too much to fix the clipping main hand… (and none for off-hand).

Idk axe auto by far out damages sword auto sword #3 cooldown is to long to rely on and the auto#3 attack hardly hits from my experiance.

Sword auto #2 should be shorter.

Best combination!!

And @ alamore:

Unsuspected foe + 15% stun duration on shield = 2sec stun from shield bash + 100% crit for you Final thrust #3.. better than a complete auto chain from axe!
(#3 hit for 5-6k every time below 50% health ofc)

Also most damage from axe is at the end of the chain, NOBODY will stand still so you can complete the chain..

And sword auto #2 should be shorter? you mean the 2e chain from #1 skill or? i dont get this one

Hello Anet,

i want to inform you about the weird bug of one-handed weapons.

Maby its just only on a Charr, but every one-handed weapon is smaller in the main-hand compared to the off-hand.
Still its the same weapon but smaller as main weapon.

I made a screenshot to show you what i mean, iam not really sure but i think it wassnt this way in the past, maby there have been a change so one-handed weapons got a bug now..

Can you pls make the main-hand the same size as the off-hand weapons?
I think the off-hand is the right size, main-hand is often very small on a charr.
Because if you draw your weapon its like 2 times bigger.

why would a guardian in reality not get a bow? tbh with magic they are more likely to use one than a plate armored warrior

Guardian is also plate armored..

Because guardians are GUARDians, more for protection..
Warriors are WARriors so they do the attacking..

So no i dont see any logic why a guardian should have a Lbow..
and + healing on longbow skills? lol in close combakittens hard to beat guardians because they have marks that damage foe’s and heal the guardian..
Best way is too go range damage them and you ask a 1200 range weapon that also heals.. + ofc burning..

So you ask for warrior longbow skills.. but also + healing.. on a guardian that have plenty healing…

Lol.. no i hope not.

If so give warriors a staff that also have the insane healing of a guardian.

Enough back pieces (for now at least) please!

Almost EVERY shoulder i see on a charr have a weird shape!

I am using the same shoulders for almost a year now!! (tier1) because only the cultural shoulders fit them kinda good.. (even tier 3 have a weird shape)

And almost every dungeon/pve shoulder gear looks terrible!
We have multiple topics about tail clipping but i see rary none topic about shoulders..\

Even the new radiant shoulders looks terrible! if you character moves his arm or whatever your shoulders will change there shape.. this is so weird!

Make the shoulders like a SOLID thing so they CANT change there shape when your character moves or even slightly stretching his arms.

There are some shoulders that dont have this and keep there shape, why cant they all have that?!

would be nice..

I have more problems with the shoulders and head items..

Most head items just look really weird, they are made for a human/norn face.. but on a charr its like they just make it 2 times longer..

But mostly i hate that i can only pick some shoulders, most heavy shoulders are TERRIBLE on charr.. from the side you see ALLOT of stretching, and when you move your arm your shoulders even chance his shape.. WHAT?? what kind of metal can do that?? its soo ugly..

i use lyssa, removes all condtions + all boons for 5 sec. + 10sec boon on healing
(often get protection, at that point i feel like a god.. lol :-P

Melandru is nice but i dont want to run all day around eating food also.. (dont have that much gold)
So without the food melandru is missing the point.

Make block reveal invis opponents.

Great idea!!

Now warrior can have bit more sustain.
Guardian bunker still got the same sustain. (nerf to boons but buff to toughness)

Light and medium classes get a bit of a nerf to sustain. or they have to spec more in toughness.

Now its stupid a Ele or other light/medium classes have more defence than a warrior.
Due to Protection.

Protection gives 33% reduction, WAY TOO MUCH!! compaired to a class than dont have it on a heavy armor (warrior).

Nerf that Protection boon!!
Give toughness more benefit!


-Toughness reduces condition damage, critical chance and critical damage
-Nerf protection boon

what about this:

Each bar of adrenaline convert 1 condition to a boon when using a burst skill.

the healing surge would not convert it.. only when you use a burst skill.
So you healing surge is still really nice, but not that nice if you cant land your burst skill.. so Mending would also still be usefull.

Wait, Healing Surge has a 30 second cooldown and if you use it with no adrenaline the healing is very horrible and poor.

well first you dont wanna use healing surge with no adreline.. :-P
But you do get adrenaline really fast, so the healing surge would be way better in most of the time that mending..

still if you use healing surge with no adrenaline it heals for 5240 + it converts 3 conditions to boons with this.. that alone is better than mending (5560 + remove 2 condi)

i really like the idea that adrenaline does something more than it is now, and this idea is really nice, but in combination with healing surge it would be too much.

nope is still use bulls + frenzy and 100b…
Frenzy is still nice (and somehow better because of less damage to yourself)
but you have to finish with WW.. and if that issnt enough switch to axe/shield stun them and do the allmighty sweet eviscerate! still love this combination/set.. and its still viable

hmm Healing surge = full adrenaline.. yup sorry :-P
ok maby change our heals also to make it balance..

Still it issnt insane much when you convert max 3 conditions to a boon on full adrenaline.

this should be possible, its even somewhat possible in WvW.

If you adjust the video settings you have the option to set the quality of other players to very low, when you do this than most people look the same (aldo its still the race)
When they adjust this for PVP it shouldnt be that hard to make all others 1 race.
Would be nice!

I often dont see a small asura using flurry or 100b when i am on a Charr. the asura wil disappear completely.

RTL puts you with no spells… uhm so an warrior can do other spells while using Rush? (would love to heal while using a rush..)
And indeed Milo (second post) rtl ignores slows… Rush and any other warrior spells dont ignore it.
also its primary for gap closing, not escape (rush also but it hits almost never or even worse you just keep walking against someone while doing nothing)

It’s an elite on a 180s cooldown, has a windup animation, is single target and is easy to miss with.
It was necessary for the run to be reduced, otherwise it was essentially buffing the target allowing them to run away faster/further.

It’s fun to mess around with, but not as useful as mass invis or timewarp in a group.

180 issnt That long when You have a free kill on 10 sec..
Single target, its pvp so its most of the time 1vs1.
and easy to miss with? From a 1200 range? I dont get that…
Its still OP, its the same as your keyboard gets disabled for 10 sec, or a stun from 10sec WITH anti stunbreaker..

It’s already hard enough to kill a mesmer,
And it’s freaking annoying when you got transformed into a Moa bird for 10sec!!

You can’t do anything! even the run is very short (WHY DID THEY CHANGED THAT??? ) so you have to use all endurance also.. its totally overpowered in pvp!! remove it there or give better defensive utility while in moa form, really starting to hate that class.

Warriors need bit more healing (traits, % over time or % per damage done)

Warrior form like:
F3 offensive (+ damage + mobile)
F4 Defensive (+ %damage reduction + convert 1 condition to boon per 10sec)

Better Gap closing on weapon skills (omg love that bull’s on #5 GS :-P)
And why not some pull skills indeed! love that too!

With this the warrior is back in the game!! :-P

Class Description.
As a heavily armored soldier profession, warriors are only second to guardians in terms of enduring punishment.

Classes that are good at Enduring Punishment by List:
- Ranger. (Evade Spam/Mobility/Protection/Vigor/High Regeneration/Takes considerably less damage when almost dead.)
- Guardian. (Constant Protection/Vigor/High Regeneration.)
- Elementalist. (Constant Protection/Vigor/Regeneration.)
- Engineer. (Constant Protection/Vigor/Regeneration.)
- Mesmer. (Evades/Invuln Spam/Blinks.)
- Thief. (Evade Spam/Stealth Spam/Teleports.)
- Necromancer. (Bad Traits, Life-force doesn’t trait well with other skills.)
- Warrior. (No protection/Poor Condition Removal/Bad Traits.)

Something is wrong.

Signet of stamina can remove ALL conditions and with signet mastery its on a 36sec cd. this doesn’t include shake it off, which you can gain through a trait as well as the mending heal which will cure another 2, warrior has plenty of condi cleansing ability one of the best imo. as far as survivability you can have 2 5sec endure pains if you trait it, and with the right traits it can take a long time to finally lock a warrior down for other players. Warriors also have the highest health if I’m not mistaken, being capable of reaching 32k+ health pools. So the warrior can be plenty tanky with a ton of survivability. That is, if you actually know what your doing……which any who disagree with me on this, surely don’t. FYI to reach the 32k hp you need to use sentinel/shaman gear, but its definately possible.
