Ah duellist yeah.. sorry was thinking in pvp mindset. CCing everyone on the node. Placing that elite and completely ignore all stability or just remove it and stun knock them back to home :-P

No.. that 7% extra dmg on a stage 1 burst??
And you get 33% adrenaline back.. from stage 1 i guess. Sounds very bad.

Honestly starting to think that it’s overkill. From a WvW perspective, look at hammer. Hammer with the, grandmaster + absorption sigil, and add the meditation to that thats like nearly instant 5 boons AoE ripped. Boon removal on CC is crazy for teamplay if you combine any aoe cc with absorption and the grandmaster really. I can already see myself jumping into a zerg with hammer, using the meditation and counter just stripping insane amount of boons.
Yeahh hammer.. they moved the trait for hammer to strength!!! They knew!! kitten ..
There was a reason now to pick merciless hammer with def/disc/spell..
But now they moved it to strength. So no more 25%speed and 5sec swap. Or no merciless hammer.
But strengthline also buffes cc more… and physical skills.. hmmmmmm

It removes all boons from the game… BUT
You as a warrior will lose allot if you go spellbreaker. Only stage 1 >> adrenaline health / CI / bers.power does little anymore with stage 1.. also allot of burst skills sucks at stage 1.
Ps.. maby this is bad gamedesign but:
2 minor traits are around CC….
So even if you go non cc weapons you cripple yourself…
Like dagger/dagger + Gs seems like a fun build.. BUT sword only has 1 CC skill…
Why do 2 minor traits that you cant decide benefit around CC?? Sure the new F2 is a CC.. but you dont need dagger for that.

-cc removes boons
-removing boons deals damage and gives adrenaline (so a cc does that because cc removes boons > that will do damage)
-when you CC or removes boons you gain bonus power/fero stacks (cc removes boon so yeah..)
-removing a boon removes another from 5 foes (so any cc removes multiple boons)
-dazes and stun inflict immob
August 8th update? Are we talking about the big balance update?
Doesnt make any sense to me.. maby because its one of the oldest skills in game?
Even the most smallest weapons like dagger has 5 targets skills and its mobile..
Also 100b dps sucks. << DPS.. not total damage. Some aa attacks do more damage then 100b

When wachting wp vids i could see some changes.. iam on my phone so cant see all that good but:
Newly found: Merciless hammer is now in strength line
Kick has 3 charges
Bulls charge has 1,5 sec evade
Throw axe has 2 charges
Berserkers power seems nerfed to 7% for stage 1 i guess
Endure / defy pain both seems 2 sec still
Gonna check for more on pc..

You can reach it before teleporting back
-The lion statue has a horrible made pole in his face and body (@ the main portal)
-Some stairs have invis walls
-Arena has some obstructed places
-Fighting/sparring npcs are all very close on 1 tiny space
-Golems are next to cliff
but that aimed shot buff tho

thats why i dont get it.. buffing rifle dmg for PVE should be no problem if its not even a PVE weapon because of the low dmg/small hitpoint

Anet generally doesn’t revert nerfs. It really takes alot for that to happen.

In this update, we have taken a look at a few underperforming weapons for the warrior: rifle and torch. The torch exists as a more aggressive off hand for condition builds, but it currently does not provide enough pressure to warrant taking it. We have increased the burning output on both torch skills to make it a more competitive option.
The rifle lacks in sustained pressure because three of its abilities focused on utility. Because of this, the rifle struggled to kill enemies when Volley and Gun Flame were mitigated. We have increased the damage of Aimed Shot to provide another source of damage to the rifle kit.
Blaze Breaker: The number of burn stacks applied by this skill has been increased from 1 to 2 in PvP only. The cripple duration of this skill has been increased from 2 seconds to 3 seconds in PvP only.
Flames of War: The burning duration applied each pulse has been increased from 1 second to 2 seconds. The number of burn stacks applied by the final explosion have been increased from 2 to 4, in PvP only.
Aimed Shot: The damage of this skill has been increased by 68% in PvP only. The vulnerability applied by this ability has been increased from 5 to 10 stacks in PvP only.

Sure warrior has allot, but so does other classes.. dont forget that warriors have more passive stuff where other classes can kitten out tons of boons or stealth or teleport. stuff that is equal or even better then passive stats like toughness/health
aah yes so i was right indeed.. and the gap gets bigger and bigger the more crit damage you have. (starting with equal from 100% indeed) didnt tought about that also.

So maby i am making a mistake here, but i often read other post saying XX% crit dmg is the same as XX% dmg modifiers.
(like the discussion about Axe trait vs beserkers power)
20% flat dmg:
if you do 1000 dmg with a 200% base crit dmg:
1000 × 1,2 (20% dmg) x 2 (200% base crit dmg) = 2400
+20% crit dmg:
if you do 1000 dmg with a 200% base crit dmg:
1000 × 2,2 (200% +20% crit dmg) = 2200
Am i missing something?
Ps about Axe trait, lets not forget you gain extra adrenaline + 20% cooldown reduction.
Cooldown reduction is not worth it.. but the extra adrenaline is nice.. still its only for axe unlike beserkers power is for every weapon

Anet you guys screwed the pooch on this one, never ever increase skill time animation. Playing warrior now just feels slow, good players could spot the tell with our moves but now everyone does. Yes, warriors needed a nerf that much was certain but to give us skill lag is ridiculous.
Decrease skill damage by x amount, increase cd of a skill or hell shave some hp off of us. Those are nerfs that make sense and don’t go against the fundamentals that guild wars 2 prides itself on.
Or decrease its aoe range like every player warrior or not even metioned..
Shield bash got buffed 1 year ago or something from 1 to 2 sec stun. And now they increase its casttime? Why not revert to 1 sec stun like the skill bas been for 4 years before that.
Headbut was indeed crazy good. Cant deny that.. but what cares for pve? Split it.

1. It is an elite spec.

It probably shouldn’t be there. Sure wish HoT gave DrD a new Fkey class mechanic instead. But people would complain about that anyway.

Here you go, almost every hour other than tome-levelling and making gear spent in small scale or solo-roam WvW. The fact that I even had to do this tells me you’re not even going to care, as you’re simply looking for people to agree with your opinions.
My thief rarely lost to power Warriors 1v1, nerfs to warrior does little to benefit my thief experience, please stop with the stretching.
@Choppy: The difference is Thieve’s defenses are entirely active. And if they mess up once, they’re usually a goner or have to completely disengage. If anything else messes up, they have many more chances to continue fighting and still win. Thats the tradeoff that a ton of people just can’t grasp the concept of. We can continue this discussion on the thief forums if you’d like.
So you played 200 hours? Thats about 5% of mine warrior hours.. and allot of other warrior players here.
What i dont get if you do understand warrior on those very few hours. Is that you now feel the need to reply to every single post here and start posting that the nerfs are not a problem. While you just ignore the fact that the post could be for pve or pvp. Where there are just few and needed nerfs for wvw

If you do happen to have a solid amount of hours then i wont bother your replies anymore so you made a statement (for WvW on the pretty much only power build left)
(keep in mind that not everyone plays in WvW or uses the pretty much 1 power build left.. some dont like that getting pushing into 1 build.. something you have to keep in consideration before always saying L2P)

A thief main, trolling us, comes here and tells us a counter-opinion to what we’re all saying. We called him out on it by checking his post history.
If he was a warrior maybe we’d take his word a bit more seriously – but hes not.

I used to play GS/Rifle warrior in PvP
Jup rifle yes.. may not be the best but it worked for me!
doesnt work anymore because i have to swap Signet of Might for another stability skill (cause eternal champion is pretty much not existing anymore with these new sigils for everyone)
And rifle without signet of might does not work..
I cant swap endure pain out also because i dont use a shield.. so i rely on endure pain.
(defy pain also doesnt stunbreak, bugged i guess) and the 3th skill slot is ofc and Always needed berserker stance.
So its back to 3 stances and atleast shield + well yeah GS..
No room for any other set for power warrior and we all use the same trait with maby some very VERY minor difference like 1 or 2 different sigils or maby 1 different trait.

I wonder if you even play warrior besides posting it in your signature..

Power War is absolutely dead to me. Not only is it next to impossible to duel a good player, but the sluggishness of the class makes it very unenjoyable to play.
Power Warrior? The only thing thats changed on power Warrior to make it somewhat sluggish is shield bash having a quarter of a second more cast time. And if a quarter second on one skill is enough to make it impossible for you to duel a good player…maybe you aren’t a good enough player to engage in 1v1 duels regardless…
Update: I just read in a thread on the thief forum where you mentioned you believe thieves are “stupidly OP.” Now I know for sure that you shouldn’t be engaging in 1v1 duels until you learn more aspects of GW2.
Turk is a busy man on the warrior forum these days posting pretty much only L2P trash.
HeadButt is extremely sluggishness also besides shield bash.
And ppl are maby not good for 1v1 if a casttime is 0,75sec? lol
Try landing a headbutt against thiefs with insta interrupts.. it was possible but now you have to be extremely Lucky.
Also besides the sluggishness skills, Endure pain and defy pain both do pretty much nothing now. endure pain might be 30 sec now (defy pain not btw!) the 2 sec often doesnt do much beside maby 1 single attack..
What makes it harder also is that Eternal champion can be stripped by anyone thanx to the new sigils. (and everyone is using them so say bye bye stability) forcing you to drop lets say Signet of might for Balanced stance (again 3x stances) but that means you cant do much against other stuff like guardians also.
Ofc ppl aint happy about that
if warrior interupt with Headbutt he will instantly down everybody in a 360 radius..

Does defy pain ever stunbreak you normally????
Because defy pain gets activated below 50% health..
But every CC skill you get does dmg.. issnt that you first get the dmg > CC? if so then defy pain gets activated before you get CC i guess? that would suck! meaning you will never get a stunbreak from it neither stability from Eternal champion.
I keep testing this skill but it never stunbreaks me.
i will post this in bugs also.. i will do some more tests
the Defy pain “endure pain” version seems to not Stunbreak.
Maby some can test this better but i test this multiple times on svanir charge but the Defy pain does not stunbreak me so it doesnt give Stability either from eternal champion.
I dont like the differences between them..
since we dont have a pulsing stability eternal anymore i rather have a shorter pvp version in wvw also for more stunbreaking.
I also dont like that they both are used very different now where i forget to use endure pain in pvp more and often waste a endure pain in wvw now..
What do you guys think? i get that we sometimes need skill splitting but now Endure pain fuctions as 2 different skills now

@Turk, sure Warrior did needed some nerfs.. but what most ppl dont like including myself is why so much at once?
-healing signet
-defy pain
-endure pain
-Stability (eternal..)
-Longer cooldowns on berserkmode/burst skills
-Longer casttimes on the most used weapons
All this is pretty much at once and very drastic also..
They could have done something like this:
-healing signet -5%
-defy pain 3sec
-endure pain (stay 2 sec.. cause 30sec cooldown)
-Stability (eternal..) ( maby 1 pulse at start and 1 at end? so its not totally for nothing.. look at how much boon hate sigils there are now)
-Smash brawler from 33% to 25%
-Longer casttimes on the most used weapons (not sure what to do whit these..)
So these are still allot of nerfs but minor nerfs.. smash brawler from 33% to 20% doesnt sound much but its allot less burst attacks AND less berserk mode uptime in general meaning less boons less bonus dmg etc etc.
Every profession forum has a post like this. Thief forums have had the most posts like this in the past.
I don’t care about PvE, nor PvP. But in WvW, my warrior is doing just as fine as before while roaming…
Some do care about PVE or PVP..
In pvp there has been nerfs also for Adrenal health in the past and now:
-Healing signet
-Endure pain (2sec is pretty short but ok short cooldown.. so see this as extra stunbreak)
-Defy pain
-Mace
And the problem in PvE is that it did already low dmg but Warrior is used for its Might generation and banners etc.. soon maby Ele could replace that
The most annoying part for me:
“PVP Only”
When do they balance more in “WvW” ??
There are playerS vs playerS also you know?
Let me explain why this is:
Somehow Anet cant fix this engine stuff or whatever but quickness used to work with these type of skills you mentioned, what happend is:
All leap skills or something like Rush traveled only like 50% of the distance
So under quickness you missed pretty much everything (same for Evi / bulls / shield bash/ sword 2 / rampage etc..)
Other skills had there defensive part reduced because of quickness like Whirlwind.. whirlind also traveled like 50% and its duration is also 50% so its evade frame is cut in half also…
So in the end its better to have a working skill compared to skills NOT working because of quickness, this issnt only for warrior btw.
Pretty big nerf in general..
I forgot about defy pain / endure pain also..
