So if you say Strength VS Berserker

Strength
10% more base dmg on GS trait
10% more base dmg on Stick and move trait
20% more base dmg after the burst hits trait
= 40% more total dmg.. simple

Berserker
7% more base dmg from Always angry
14% more crit dmg from Blood reaction(only in berserkmode ofc)
10% more dmg from Bloody roar
= 24% more total dmg

no its 8,5% more dmg

10% more dmg, increases the base dmg (stick and move)
10% more crit dmg, only increase the crit

Lets say you do 1000 base dmg, and your crit standard is 150% crit dmg (base)
(with only 10% more dmg)1000 × 1,1 (10%dmg) = 1100 × 1,5 (150% crit) = 1650
(with only 10% more crit dmg) 1000 × 1 (0% more dmg) = 1000 × 1,6 (160% crit) = 1600

1650/1000= 1.65
1600/1000= 1.6

so now we can say:
165% of 1000= 1650
160% of 1000= 1600

So in the end the 10% crit dmg does 5% less dmg compared to 10% more base dmg.

Crit dmg is always 50% less value then a base dmg increase

Hello OP,

I cant use the 123456 skills while also using WASD to move at the same time.
I find this annoying to play and while using the 1234567 you always stuck in walking 1 direction (often to the right) it just doesnt play well..

So yeah i bought a mouse with 12 buttons to the side :-P
So i have all my weapon skills + some utility skills / target / Dodge all bound to my mouse

I use Caps lock for weapon swap
And QER are for the 789 utilities.

Only 1 problem left. the 12 buttons are tiny.. so i often misclick or use 2 at the same time XD.

Fine numbers can change.

Although i wanted a build that uses Full physicals and still be viable like full Stance/Signet builds

I think this would be a good start then,
Because there is a small Berserker stance + Signet of might + frenzy buildin for physicals tis way.

I dont think there would be a viable build with full physical skills, but atleast 1 or 2 could really be nice this way.

Ok, but we do have to tweak the numbers i think, some physicals are very short cooldown, so maby something like:
3s resistance (enough to make the hit not get blinded etc)
1 unblock hit (only for the skill itself)
3s Quickness

Make defiant stance elite skill zzz

Thats not even a bad idea! we dont have a elite stance now, and it pretty much sucks for a healing skill (only for wvw..) making this an elite would give its some nice use for not only wvw players but also pvp players.

We might have to adjust some numbers?

Tactics minors are probably the worst in the game. Here’s some suggestions: Only 1 minor focused on reviving with a 10% revive boost (like all the other classes have). Pull out one of the generic major traits to sit in the freed up minor slot: either Empower or Empower Allies. And add a Banner major trait option: -20% CD on all banners + something (maybe add Inspiring Battle Standard effect(AoE regen)? ). And any replacement in the Disc Major slot is already competing with DotE and BR, so it won’t be too popular, anyway.

Tactics minors are indeed bad, i merged some of them.
Btw i didnt do the banner trait like you asked because i already decreased the banner Cooldowns from 120 to 90 too make them more usefull for PVE players.

Physicals need utility not damage even with 300% damage increase is still bad, would be better if we get boons on activation like (resistance, quickness) if traited with peak performance

Disagree on Weapon swap change, either we got the full Fast Hands baseline or leave it as its, you would still pick DISC

I would indeed still get DISC for sure :-) k, made it baseline like many asked.
(still i think making this baseline wouldnt do that much for warrior.. but thats my opinion. making it baseline wouldnt hurt either so :-)

Occasionally it doesn’t play the muzzle flash visual. This would cause the side-effect of it not playing its audio as audio for effects, such as the muzzle flash, is paired with the visuals. Thanks for the report.

Like the revenant is missing from te profession list.

Maby its just me but when i come to this site it feels like there has never been a xpac.

And a very very minor thing, the revenant icon is too clean compared to the rest :-P yeah dont know why i see that stuff, see attachement

Nice changes indeed, but I agree with Choppy, Death from Above is pretty good to be removed and every class has fall damage reduction trait after all…
What I like the most is projectile reflect on 100b… that would be so good, really
What I would like to see is adrenaline to be used more “actively” for healing. E.g. every adrenaline spent (for F1 bursts – not decay ofc…) would heal for the reasonable amount of health… or something like that. Adrenal health is meh… and saying that warrior needs to be kept simple is just an excuse for lazyness.

You guys are right, fall dmg can be usefull.. edited it.

Its more maby for PVP, i myself really like this, we should have more of these active defensive skills in this game…

Sure i get the PVE players just want to deal dmg, and thats what 99% of all the warrior weapon skills only does, compared to other classes we do lack active defense on weapon skills.

Arms
—Merge"Precise strikes"and"Rendering strikes" (so there is room left for something else)
Defense
—Thick skin, from 90% to 50% health tresshold
—Adrenaling health, gain 50hp per adrenaline gain (1500 total, so you do want to spend your adrenaline, maby the amount of HP should be (de)increased…)
Tactics
—Determined Revival does 10% extra revive speed
—Revivers’s might merged with Empowered (so there is room left for something else)

—Fast hands replaced for Brawlers Recovery (so there is room left for something else)


—UTILITIES—
Stances:

Long time ago i even talked about putting Brutal shot into Aimed shot (making them one) so we can have a leap back on number 4! you didnt even made it an leap but also an evade + immob! very nice!

(for pve players its possible to jump so you dont get evade back..)

But i do think you should take a look at Gun flame, it should have a bigger animation or something, at the moment gun flame is a superior version of killshot, Anet you where saying the Elite spec should not be better then core but just different. its different for sure but too rewarding also, i think most can agree with this.

Hell no...allowing players to choose their own states won’t make things any better, it would just make things much worse.

Yeah you prefer the weird combinations that Anet puts into this game?
Most of them are made bad because they are too scared there would be another OP combination.

Let it be and monitor it! let Anet does it job and stop creating silly combinations and very few combination also.

But seems like people dont want customizations.. maby remove all classes and put a new class in PvP with only 3 skills.. because that would be also more balanced…

If they place limitations on the choice then it can work. Firstly

For example, if the total points pool = 3200:

1. Pick your primary stat at a range between 1050 and 1200 points (have a slider so it can be anywhere in between.

2. Secondary stat choices are available depending on the primary choice and the remaining number of points, with number caps. The secondary stat has a maximum value of 1050, only if the primary stat has also been chosen at 1050. If the primary stat choice is above 1050, the secondary stat lies between 1050 and 900 points. So as one slider goes up, the other goes down.

3. The remaining 1100 points must be split between 2 further stats, but they can be chosen in any range between 550/550 and 900/200.

So the results would look like this:
Primary – 1200 -> 1050
Secondary – 900 -> 1050
Tertiary – 550/550 -> 900/200

All amulets would then be normalised to a fixed maximum number of points. It could be extended to 5 or more stat possibilities, but would make it more complicated.

Stat Exclusions:
Simple “greyed out” selection depending on stat choices and values. Would of course require testing to see which combinations would be overpowered (ie Dire).

For example, if the Primary stat is Condition Damage, the Secondary stat cannot be Expertise.

If the Primary Stat is Condition Damage and the Secondary Stat is either Toughness or Vitality, the Tertiary stat cannot have Vitality/Toughness.

And so on…

In the end the player has more (also feels more) options and customization, while Anet doesnt have to remove/add amulets but simple ban some combination by greying them out.

@Fluffbal and Wolfric, if its OP they can simple ban it, so what is the big deal about it? why is this worse then what we have? with this we could have more combinations, ofc there also would be more combinations banned but in the end there would be more options then what we have now.

But looks like people rather want to just post a OP combinations and say its an terrible idea and leave.

@ Wolfric it is custom and they have control over it.. let them monitor the combinations and see what happens.. now we are stuck with what Anet puts into the game with combinations and most of them are just stupid ugly that nobody wants because Anet knows its bad. thats what Anet does.. put stupid combinations in the game

Yeah right, both classes are in the same game you know.. Both need to be balanced and hammer 2 was not balanced (its dmg still not but thats the trait).. But good trying to defend it lol! You guys lost reality in this game just like Anet when they made tthe elites. I do laugh when i see pve players cry about the nerf lol haha. Nownlets wait what january will bring :-p

Oh good lord a clerics on a staff build and a comparison that Hammer 2 does more damage than 100b? Good bye Phalanx warrior and hello Rev, I hope this is a troll post, I really do.

Look at the cooldowns on 100b and Hammer 2..
Hammer 2 has more targets and insanely shorter cooldown.
In the time you can do 2x 100b you can do also 10x Hammer 2 to even more targets without any risk on range, now tell me why you think its a troll post.

Should have been for WvW only. Moreover, this fix doesn’t address the biggest problem, which is ridiculously large damage spikes due to the cruel repercussion trait.

Well too all the Rev players crying about the 5 target nerf for PVE:

100b – 3 targets – melee range

Why on EARTH should a skill like Rev hammer 2 on 1200 range on very short cooldown do pretty much the same dmg in very short time (thanx to Cruel repercussion also) on that much targets?? 5 targets is already good enough.

have you EVER seen a post about the max 3 targets on 100b for warrior?
Yet you cry babies act like its normal to spam hammer 2 without any effort or risk and do that much dmg to insane amount of targets..

ESL: camera man/host, pls stop moving around

Is it just me or is it annoying to watch the ESL?

Its already bad enough with all the effect going around but the person/host that controls the camera is turning the camera too much around.

Its like a camera battle, pls stop this and try to do this:

-On node with 2 or more persons set the camera to the fixed positions on the map and dont turn.
-When in a duel or outside nodes set it to the player and let the camera do its job.
-And pls show us a fight and dont switch around 10 times, i get that you want to show us all but this doesnt do good, switch around less pls.

Not only is it very annoying to see that the Host is trying to fight with the camera everytime making it to turn around so much wich is very annoying, but it also creates blurr effect in the stream, a fixed view is always better in stream.

Would be very welcome Host! :-)

I am pretty much done with this game.

REV/CHRONO/REAPER/SCRAPPER/DRAGONHUNTER

All are INSANELY overpowered from a warrior point of view.
3 years have past too have a somewhat balanced game and we all start over again.
Anet just puts more and more into the classes creating more and more counters.
This will again take months to balance out..

Not only this but the berserker elite is pretty dumb boring if not the same warrior but slighty worse if not in berserker mode and slighty better in berserk mode but thats pretty much it, nothing new about it.
All HOT does is pushing you to one of the OP classes, something i really dont like to do.

I am not here to explain why those classes are that OP, neither do i come to cry for buffs on warrior, i Always find that warrior was 1 of the most balanced classes. and they should take warrior as a template for other classes, but no they just pushed too much onto the elites.. cant take it anymore to wait and wait and wait more for balancing.

I am taking a break for now, hope you warriors find some fun with the class in pvp.
I really hope Anet doesnt listen anymore to all the Revenant/dragonhunter and what not people crying for buffs and buffs.. because they received them ALLOT.. look what it did.. i already miss the Core game. what a waste of money

Overall, after the last BWE, we felt like revenant was in a solid spot. For launch we mainly focused on bug fixing and a few outliers such as changing the second hit of the sword auto-attack as well as speeding up the tablet move speed.

That’s not to say that there aren’t more things we are thinking about how to improve or tweak, but we want the profession to get in more playtime and thus more feedback before we make any more larger changes. I’m definitely reading all the feedback and taking under consideration for future changes so keep up the awesome work.

So your happy with how good it is/plays, how about how balanced it is compared to others? (core classes) for now revenant counters every other power class. and when they spec condi they also counters every condi class.

This issnt only for Rev but also for allot more new Elite specs you/Anet brought into this game. some core classes have NO place or chance anymore against new (combined) stuff you/Anet put on this class and other elites.

We need to have players get more time with them in general to see how things play out. We’ve made a lot of changes in beta weekends, but once they are live and people really spend a lot of time playing with them it will give us better data. We want non-elite spec builds to be viable as well. There will be balance patches to address and adjust things.

Pommel Bash Could Use a Minor Buff

All i want is:

a faster counterblow!! + it would be nice that counterblow only activates when your IN melee range.. (skills that are not projectile but are ranged stop the blocking part..)and they should remove the aftercast on AA chain.

Thats pretty much all i want on this weapon.

I’ve seen your stream a few times and you are really good and axe/shield – gs is my favorite build in the game so I’m glad it received some buffs. I just have one question about actually fighting. Is there an advantage to jump dodging like you always do? I just didn’t know if it helps evade more or if its just to disguise your next attack or something.

The only advantages are that it looks cool and that u can jump over gaps that require dodge roll speed. The rest are disadvantages, not being able to cast instant casts mid dodge, cuz in air, and hydromancy for example don’t proc mid air.

Btw Obindo, have you ever done a duel with Vaans? I have yet seen any better warrior then you in pvp. Vaans is more wvw player, he may be good but there are some difference between wvw and pvp duelling.

Would love to see some matches between good warriors :-)

Sorry for saying this but i find this a pretty bad review

all you say is: fire fire fire mooore fire! you sound like a Dev that thinks all warrior players are stupid players that can only smash 1 key. (sorry but thats my opinion about Dev thinking of warriors)

Then you try to give feedback on skills but you dont give any decent feedback about the total picture, all skills look somewhat cool on there own but do they bring enough for a warrior in pvp/pve? can they replace a build? what are the cost if warriors do go for berserker traitline? how did you felt going in and out of berserkmode? did you feel much diffrence or did you feel just the same warrior but with some fancy new animations?

I think this berserk mode doesnt bring much, it could be run for some condi builds.. but they could also just placed some of this traits into arms.. we get a total new elite that does not bring any new way of playing a warrior. and they did nothing to even be able taking a other traitline

At the end of the auto attack on warrior mace there is a huge aftercast.

It is possible to cast a very fast skill like “pommel Bash” during the auto attack chain, but at the end of the chain it still takes awhile before you can “pommel bash” it feels like a 0,5 second.

I see you did some aftercast fixes in the past and still do for new elites, can you pls considerate fixing this one also?

But it DID happend sometimes that i had popped balanced stance and 8sec later Last stand triggerd (while i still had 2 sec stability left..)

Sure this issnt happening allot, but i find this pretty bad design
Just wanted to share this info with the rest of you ppl.. knowing how this trait work.

So another tip:
this trait WILL proc in berserker mode if you have the stability pulsing trait.. :-)

It activates balanced stance even if you already have stability..

Try it out for yourself, this has been there forever.
made a topic about this a long time ago, thats the biggest reason i DONT use this trait.
(and ofc i still prefer CI)

Counterblow too slow

Hey fellow warriors,

I havent seen a topic for awhile about Mace main hand, but i started to use this weapon again since a long time ago (2 years or more)

But i am having troubles with the Mace #2 Counterblow.
Not the block itself but the counter attack, I find this skill to be too slow to be effective.

Block into a counterblow, the counterblow should be a punishment.
But because its so slow you get hit inbetween because your in melee range ofc and the slow casttime, getting blinded or what not..

My point is, there is no punishment and its too easy to counter the counterblow by walking away / blinding or multiple attack.

Most counter attacks does a CC or something to punish the person. this attack does not. another CC would maby not be the way to go because we have allot on Mace, but atleast make it faster.

Why cant we enter berserkmode without the need of adrenaline?

It already have a cooldown
Berserker mode have traits that trigger while entering berserkmode.. Those are now pretty bad designed because entering berserkmode is behind the need of 30 adrenaline.
Other classes dont even need to build something to get the elite spec stuff.. Like thief gets a free extra dodge and just maby get the dodgr stuuf for free without the need of a trait.

At the moment i still think it cost a full trailine just to get an f2 that only gives me weaker burst skills on a time gated./ even more adrenaline cost concept compared to the core specs.. Sure it cost less adrenaline while your in berserkmode.. But its for 15 sec.. In all tgat time i can just pull off the same amount of burst skills with core compared to elite.

Just make f2 a no adrenaline cost berserkmode.. (maby remove the adrenaline also while entering ofc). Make it usefull when you NEED it.. Now you always activate it because yeahbyou spend a traitline on it so why not activate it.. It still doesnt feels right.

Burst Mastery doesnt work while in berserker mode.

And about adrenal health in berserker mode:

-When you have full adrenaline bar you only get stage 1 adrenal health.

- if your not having a full adrenaline bar you get nothing nada!..
So this means adrenal health does Nothing in berserker mode because the moment you you have full adrenaline you want to spend it ofc.

I find this pretty bad design, why not give us the old 3 stages adrenaline also in berserker mode but make it so we get 3x more adrenaline.

delay on 100b

maby the 60% speed breaks 100b? dunno but somehow the final strike just hits 1 sec after the animation (do not use other skill or it will overwrite it)
I even get it so bad that sometimes the last 2-3 hits have a 1 sec delay..
(animation is already finished )

I also want to mention that quickness is a direct nerf to your leap attacks like hammer.
the range gets reduced by ALLOT due to quickness.

Fix taunt + resistance now pls!

Rangers are abusing it.

If you taunt someone with resistance on, that person cant select anything else but the pet AFTER the taunt.

Funny in hotjoin but not so fun in ranked where rangers are just waiting for your resistance and taunt you.. good luck after that because the only way to select a diff target is to die.
