Movement Speed Buff for DH

How is wanting a movement speed buff ‘wanting it all?’ Especially when we’re the only class without a movement speed buff option in our traits at all while everyone else has options for 25%-33% movement speed buffs in their TRAITS (I feel the need to emphasize…I’m not talking about signets, but traits)? DH is not a range class…it comes with a ranged weapon, but that doesn’t mean it’s a ‘ranged class’ as in it primarily deals its damage through ranged attacks. It’s still a melee heavy class as in it deals a huge part of its damage within melee range using melee weapons. But for the sake of argument, let’s say you’re right and it’s a ‘ranged class.’ Why does that mean it doesn’t need a 25% movement speed buff? Did you know that chronos have a 25% movement speed buff AND a Blink even though it’s a ranged class? Did you know druids have a trait for 33% movement speed buff even though it’s ranged class? Did you know eles get a 25% movement speed buff AND a Lightning Flash even though it’s a ranged class? So you see, your argument of saying DH doesn’t need a movement speed buff because it’s ‘ranged’ isn’t really valid.

A leap and a pull don’t really mean anything when people can move faster than you AND have teleports like Blink, Lightning Flash and Shadowstep and can outkite you because you are as slow as a turtle IN COMBAT and can’t disengage because all the other classes are faster than you (keep in mind just how slow you are in combat without a movement speed buff of any kind).

The reason why wars can have speed boost on melee weapon is because their weapon swap is on a FIVE SECOND cooldown, and with Signet of Rage, they have swiftness for almost 30 seconds so even with ranged weapons, they can still move fast. Even if they didn’t have Signet, they’d have their movement speed buff back in 5 seconds, whereas DH has the regular 9-second weapon swap CD. And the difference between war and DH leaps/movement skills is this…DH has two leaps that when used together, helps you travel 1400 total range…the GS 3 leap is on a 15 second CD and the virtue leap 2 is on a 26 sec cd (traited). War has two movement skills on their GS that helps them travel 1650 range, and their skills have a 10 sec CD and a 20 sec CD (untraited). So in one minute, wars can use their movement skills to travel 6300 range whereas DH’s can travel 4000 range. Quite a difference.

As for that pull, the DH pull is on a 34 sec CD (traited) and brings the enemy to you, sure, but it doesn’t help you move faster…so they can still stun break/port away from you and you’re back to square one. So, unless you’re suggesting that DH’s also get a 5-sec weapon swap and a lower cd on their leaps/pull, then I think just a flat, non-conditional 25% movement speed buff as a GM minor trait would suffice.

Guardions have more incombat mobility then warriors FYI…
You talk about blink etc but forget that guardians do have teleports/shadowsteb on weapon and utility skills. (+ leaps + pulls.. more then warriors have)
But you guys want great incombat mobility AND great pve/landspeed mobility, and then you compare it to warrior mobility lol, first off, warrior sprint is ONLY for melee weapons, and those melee weapons maby have leaps/rush but most of them are slow, you can litterly walk faster with swiftness on then a warrior using Rush, but all you see is the traveldistance.. RUSH AND WHIRLWIND are both slower then someone using switfness and just walk.

You cant just say that guardians need movement speed buff because others have it also, while you dont really look closely on those classes what they do, the reason you even compare it with warrior rush and whirlwind etc but not even knowing how slow those skills are, says enough to me…

Ok from my 3,5 years of warrior playing i give you the sweet spot for power warrior.

50% crit chance (no need more)
Aim for around 2500 armor (no more then 2700!!! And if you have thick skin trait then aim for around 2600 armor. Look i can give you a full explenation why not more then 2700 yadayada yada.. I have had it all from 3500 to 2600 now and i can tell you that warrior doesnt benefit from that much armor, after 2700 its really a waste because the reduction % gets lower the more armor you have. And the more armor you can swap for power the better!! But i find that a bit armor does do wonders.. Full zerker with 2300 can be pretty hard and 2500-2600 is a very safe spot)

Aim for atleast 200% crit damage (with berserker elite spec you boost it to 220% pretty easy. )

No extra vitality!! Just dont
No other stat but all for powerrrrrrr!!

If you go for full ascended you can have this with tick skin and beserker elite spec:
And NO food / NO sigil buff / NO utility buff like signets / without shield:

2550 attack power
2600 armor
50% crit chance
220% crit dmg

Warriors are more a “necessary evil” than an actual desired class. Their damage is pretty low and they are only brought for might stacks and party buff. A lot of groups are only running 1 in raids now. Pvp they are aren’t the bottom of the barrel they are the dirt the barrel sits on. So unless you really want to play warrior, I would recommend a different class.

Are all of these bugs still in the game?

Allot of these bugs are not just a Revenant bug, other classes have the same problems like

- uneven terrain stuff
- LoS
- Leap distance not the same as tooltip
- no red circles
- animation bugs
- Block and the animation are not sync
-etc

Allot of these problems have been reported on other classes but have been forgotten or people just dont care anymore, its not just Revenant.

That doesn’t mean they aren’t on the Revenant nor does it excuse their existence.

do you know the meaning of “Not just” ? and maby read the full post before saying stuff i didnt even stated, all i say is that allot of these bugs doesnt come with Revenant only, its a game engine problem mostly that Anet cant/wont/will not solve or whatever, its in this game sinces start, so you can say Revenant is still beta or whatever, doesnt matter, most of this stuff does not get solved, thats what i am telling you guys.

And place this trait into DH traitline so you have to drop a different trait for this one.

To be fair here, i dont think DH needs a speed boost, DH is a range class and just like warriors they dont get a speed boost while wielding ranged weapons, also you have other ways to move around, you even get a pull AND a leap + huge block.. but somehow you guys want it all i guess.

100b will never be changed because of the PVE players.

PVP players want it to be more usefull (like all HOT skills are now.. )
PVE players dont care but only want to do big numbers.

Both are right ofc, this is why skills like 100b will always be good in 1 gamemode and bad/worse in other gamemode (like allot of other skills)

But Anet can atleast make the skill usefull for both situations, maby not mobile (because that means dmg nerf, and pve players dont want that ofc) but if its high risk then atleast let the skill destroy projectiles or something, so nothing changes for PVE players but PVP players can make more smart use of it

Pls let someone take a look at this trait, the tooltips are sometimes right but on some burst skills very wrong, but the actual dmg increase doesnt apply. pls take a look at it, its a GM trait that most warriors use and its bugged.

like seriously, why is bullcharge even 40 second CD

because we have headbutt on 20sec that does more CC and ALLOT more dmg and 30 adrenaline, behind a pricetag…

i’m not even kidding, burnwar has some what tiny bit of a play, because all rage skills have relatively low CD, so you can manage stuff
while physical skill being the worse version of rage skills, still have incredible long CD, that didn’t works pre HoT, won’t work Post HoT

I totally agree with you here, but i really think the good stuff is behind the pricetag.. thats what holding Anet back to buff Core stuff (and yes even before HOT it was crap)

I hitted somebody yesterday in EB twice with gunflame (1shot)..

when i checked my combat log i did 2x gunflame for the exact same dmg amounts, not 100% sure if its a combat log issue or if it really did 2x the dmg

Hey guys thanx for the info! i might test some of that stuff (well most build i have done in the past)

@obindo, yeah that build does give allot of mobility, dont like rampage much but it can be great in team play, btw burst mastery is bugged if you didnt know (the dmg part, dont be fooled by the tooltip btw… the real dmg issnt buffed) but somehow between rampage i wonder what to do with this build? run around? capping nodes would be fast/good with this build, and when rampage is up go help team. but between that.. ?

Some feedback about your build (i use the same with some minor trait difference and utilitie changes)

Dolyak signet:
> replace for endure pain (you have ethernal champion wich give stability in berserk mode AND stability on stunbreak, so even endure pain gain stability. enough to drop dolyak signet for more sustain)

Signet of stamina:
> replace for signet of might, why? well you already have CI and berserker stance, + berserker mode wich give you more burst hits = more CI use.. so another condi removal issnt really needed, + a rifle without signet of might doesnt do much against all those reflect/block stuff going on. signet of might really counters DH and Scrappers.

Signet of stamina
> i think Head butt is 10 times better for PVP.. SoR is great but more for PVE.. headbutt is a stunbreaker (wich triggers Ethernal again) and gives you 30 adrenaline on top of a 3sec stun AND very high dmg.. i really dont get why people take SoR over headbutt..

For the rest its a solid build untill you hit late Sapphire or ruby… then this build will suffer (like most warrior builds)

So uhm yeah i almost made it to ruby, but its getting really hard right now..

I am no pro player but atleast a good average player, i play gs/rifle berserker build and till halfway sapphire i did fine! i killed most people 1v1 with gunflame and played more like a thief (+1)

But now?? i dont know why i am even playing warr.. its hurting my team bad!
I only face metabuilds right now and i can SPAM 10x gunflame or whatever to them and they dont even dodge a crap, they dont give a kitten about it, they heal so fast and got sooo much sustain that they just eat it all and facewalk right over me.

So at this point:
-My role is like a thief (+1) but my dmg doesnt seem to make any difference at all
-i provide NO support for my team (neither defense or offensive buffs)
-i cant ress! like NEVER! sure pop your endure pain or whatever and try ressing.. your dead right after it
-i am slower then thief or even rev
-i cant hold a point because they just aoe bomb you in the face while tanking in the same time.

Sure warrior gs/rifle is allot of fun and pretty solid in 1v1.. but right now in tpvp i feel like a waste of time!

We all know it, not really new.. but i kept thinking it would be better by now (with some minor nerfs to those classes) but in the end nothing changed..

dunno what to say more, ow yeah 1 more thing.. ppl really dont like to see a warrior in there team :-P it makes them mad and i get allot more hate stuff/wispers these days.

Hey Healix, i know this issnt a priority thing ofc :-) but i dont get why this should be that hard to make.. i dont mind it being simple.. even when they just copy/paste the chat log into a simple txt file would do miracles for some people.

Uhm so i am one of those people that dont care much about mastery stuff.. but somehow you HAVE to get that annoying stuff to even complete a map.. ?

What i really dont get is why do people need to do jumping puzzle boring stuff? there is a max mastery points issnt it? and you get mastery points just by doing those annoying maps. what am i missing?

Well i dont mind mounts, what i do mind is the lack of waypoints in HOT maps… most of them are also contested!! so to all the people saying we dont need mounts, what about HOT zones? i really dislike those zones because you have to walk ALLOT of there, and @ ANET fix those kitten contested waypoints! some arent even being attacked and still contested

I kinda agree with the OP, most matchmaking complaints that i see on this forum are from new people that aim for the legendary reward and stuff like that but dont even care about pvp or just blame others while they dont even know what CC is.

I also agree that new/bad players should have fun even when they will stay in amber/emerald, but they dont have to except to get very high if they stay bad just because they want that stuff also and then complain the matchmaking system sucks.

Thats is your problem and allot of those complaining here.
PVE players that joined PVP for stuff like the legendary backpack… and because of there low MMR they get matched with the same skilled players (mostly new/bad) they QQ about the matchmaking system being bad. (good players will be there also but quickly go up in division)

I got news for you and other PVE players, dont expect to even reach high in the PVP league or to aim for the legendary backpack if that is your goal but dont even care about PVP at all.

If so then also revert the critical dmg nerf from the past that decreased the power dmg builds by atleast 10%.

This nerf was done because of the ascended armor/weapons/trinkets.

(and lets not forget that condi’s does more besides dmg, and there are condi’s that even decreases power dmg, there is NO condi that decreases condi dmg.. but this is a whole other point)

On some burst skills like Gunflame it even decreases your dmg!!
(not only the tooltip dmg decreases but the actual dmg also)

Test it yourself and hit the same golem over and over with and without burst mastery.
Overall dmg with Burst mastery is lower then without burst mastery.
Thanx for the debuff trait! :-P

IDK, I’ve tested it a few times for condi warrior, and it seems the damage actually increases.

Its just that the tooltip or stat numbers dont increase.

I have tested it with a power build and many weapons. And the average dmg without BM is the same as with BM. There should be a increase but there issnt.

Btw you can not test this by hitting only once because we dont have the old test weapons anymore that always does the same dmg.. Sometimes you hit harder or not.. So you have to hit a mob many times.. Then look at the average dmg.. So no this BM is bugged for real

I kind of feel like the bug section of the forum is a black hole because I don’t think anet checks the forums much (could be wrong). Ever since I read a blog post by them mentioning the in-game reporting tool (and their ability to easily reproduce what you’re seeing with it), I’ve convinced myself that it’s the only thing they actually check when it comes to bug reports, rather than the forum.

i used the ingame report also, maby others can report it also?

It’s also the same with normal burst skills.

They fixed the adrenaline part on this trait.. maby they broke the +7% dmg part on it..
(wouldnt be the first time Anet fix 1 thing and create a other bug on same skill)

But yeah indeed no extra dmg on normal burst skills also

Tooltip dmg does get increased when using burst mastery but it does not actualy increases the dmg by 7%

Long Bow...

Longbow was the best weapon for almost 3years because it did good dps and even without condidmg you did good burning dmg till they nerfed buning (something that was needed for buning in general) and then the powercreep from HoT came and made the longbow less usefull.

But nothing has changed really on longbow
-Dual shot is the best auto attack because of 2x adrenaline.. This is the reason its good
-fan of fire used to do allot of dmg because of the old burning
-Arcing arror is still very good
-smoldering, whats wrong with that? Instant blind! Dude this is very good
-pin down, sure longer casttime but stil very good.

Sorry but longbow issnt that bad, you just get used to the powercreep of others

so tbh, i think you should compare berserker mode to reaper shroud

Could do that also.. it the end it doesnt matter if its Reaper or druid.
I find it bad that berserk has a extra long cooldown, berserk + 33% reduction trait feels normal to me so i ask myself why Anet made it like that in the first place.

CA replaces weapon skills, Berserk not. Different energy gain. Completely different skills, effects and purpose (healing vs dmg). Nothing in common outside of being a “special form”.
And of course signets from different classes are not the same (outside of being called sigents and having a passive and active effect). Different classes, different skills, different cd and so on. Just because skills/traits/froms of different classes are similar in some regards, they don’t have to be the same in everything.

If you want to have 10s cd on berserk mode, ok, maybe there are some good reasons to reduce the cd, but comparing it to CA is not a reasonable argument.

Btw i rarely play druid and don’t care if it gets nerfed or not.

Well:
-CA sure gives different weapon skills but ALSO on different cooldown (they dont share with your weapon cooldown skills)
-Berserk still need to build adrenaline between burst skills unlike CA
-Different energy gain sure but in the end its not that much different, Astral on heal and dmg / Adrenaline on dmg and getting dmg (needs trait)

Anyways, like i told ya, i didnt made this to nerf CA, but i find it strange that CA can have 10sec but berserk does not, why punish berserk for that? sure two completely different classes, that doesnt mean that there cant be balance between simular stuff.
Berserk + the 33% reduction trait feels very normal to me, why didnt Anet made that baseline 10sec in the first place. now we waste a trait just to feel that it should be like that in the first place.

I think this LFG tool can have a decent update with stuff like:

-Select your role
-Select spots/roles you want for your advertised group
-Raid section
-Search option (so the server will find a group for you)

Is it that hard to make stuff like this?

@Warrior players, what do you think about this? I also made this in pvp forum, but i can already see that Druid players will reply with nonsense just because they think its a nerf druid thread.. (wich its not)

So is there any reason why Berserk has a longer cooldown compared to Celestial? doesnt feel right to me.

Celestial: 10 sec cooldown / 15sec active duration
Berserk: 15 sec cooldown / 15sec active duration

Some notes:
-Berserker does have an trait to reduce it by 33% (making it 10sec also) why does a warrior need to use a trait just to gain the same?
-No adrenaline on start and degenerate after combat, unlike Celestial.

A druid can get 100% astral force decent fast enough to switch to Celestial again after the cooldown, ofc Berserk have it more easy to gain adrenaline. but why punish berserk with a longer cooldown?

So yeah with this in mind, why doesnt berserk mode has a standard 10sec cooldown just like Celestial?

Because berserk mode and Celestial Avatar are two completely different things. They have nothing in common.

@UmbraNoctis, i edited my question so you (druid) dont feel attacked by my question, its not to nerf druid but to ask why berserk gets punished

@your statement:
Gaining energy (astral force/adrenaline) to become a form (celestial/Berserk)
Seems the same to me.
