Rupturing smash is an knockback.
So no benefit from hammer trait? Is this going to be changed or does a hammer skill just dont benefit feom a hammer trait? (wich would be weird)

Leaps/rush are having its travel distance reduced with quickness on.
This is pretty annoying when it doesnt hit even close to your ground target spot. Making quickness even pretty bad for this.
But now we get quickness in berserker mode.. Cool but pretty annoying to use the new Rupturing smash (same leap as earthshaker) ?
Can you pls look into this unwanted effect?
Ps, same with slow (it will travel further)
Y super necro post but looks like they never ever wanted to fix this problem for Tier 3 Charr shoulders, they bend so much its a terrible design flaw.
This is since the start of the game, Anet asked to report stuff via ingame or on forum, but they never explaned why they dont or cant or changed those shoulders.

This is pretty much false info!
The image you show looks like 1 hit take down those golems, but if you pause before the killshot hit you see the golems at the center and front where already good as dead.
People like you are in the same category like those saying, warriors are OP because they have the most health/armor…

Strength = 40% dmg lost for GS (and might stacking)
Defense = lost of condition cleansing and extra sustain from defypain/adrn health.

We’ve already seen that some condi specs can do more DPS than the power based ones (see engi), so I wouldn’t mind if a condi/sinister berserker became one of the pve meta builds.
Well if i like condi spec i wouldnt made a warrior.. and i wouldnt called it Berserker also..
I still find condi cheese mode, such a shame! warrior will join the rest of the lame condi specs.

Edited: Looks like allot of people dont agree with this. But my post was ment from a pvp point of view so i adjusted the post.
Look i agree warr was all about power builds in pve.
But when you look at pvp we didnt really need a condi/hybrid build.
We already had great hybrid builds in the past but very few real viable power builds.
We had frenzy/bulls/100b in the early days.. People started to learn to dodge and since then warrior turned more and more into hybrid/support class.
Till the last patch when we had some fun with builds like gs/hammer+rampage.. But even that build is not the best you can bring in tpvp. Other classes can pretty much replace a power build warrior while also doing something for the team.
Some may not agree with me, but i hoped we gain a better power build that does more then 1 trick like most warrior builds do.. Condi is and will always be the strongest spec in roaming and always had a place in tpvp.. And hybrid was even better for warrior.
Its just that when thinking about warrior i think about power builds.. I think Rev pretty much replaced this role for a warrior.
Sure the elite spec looks fun. But yeah not what i hoped for. I dont think i am the only one thinking this.. And if it is then maby its time to drop warrior.

If this pc is for gaming (because sli) than why buy a i7 over an i5 .. Its pretty much waste of your money if you know the difference.
Anyways yes a great gpu doesnt do much.. Myself have a gtx970.. And it runs very high..
So your SLI with also the more expensive 980 is a huge waste for atleast gw2.
(why not sli 970.. For real the 980 is just a marketing stunt)
Anyways remove your SLI and see what it does.
No need to overclock you K cpu (atleast not for gw2)

I first i still didnt used the active because i get used to not using it.. but now i am starting to use the active also to setup a hammer burst or even when you get condi bombed > activate healing signet and /laugh :-P

Well, on the plus side, making Whirlwind “slower” means it will deal a lot more damage to people. Mesmers will come out of stealth DEAD.XD
That is why i only ask to give Rush a speed buff :-)
So i get that you dont like the extra distance Rush was giving with swiftness.
(aldo it still reduces when your using quickness)
But GS was all about mobility, now its completely gone and the weapon is really bad now in wvw, i have not been able to run away atleast once in wvw from nobody! any class can get me now without a problem.
You may say it should be like that, sure i can kinda understand that nike warriors was a bit too much.. but its from 100% to almost 0% chance to escape.
Anyways.. i am having this problem also to engage! its very very frustating to use both whirlwind/rush AND bulls charge to even reach your opponent.. and they just leap or blink away.
pls reconsider increasing the speed of rush back to atleast 20%

Cant use it to engage neither disengage anymore because its really slow.
Why is it called rush when a leap is faster (and almost the same distance with sword)? maby rename it to:
“Walking just a little bit faster then average depending if you do or not have swiftness if you do then just walk”

Gonna try it tonight.. but here is some feedback:
your using Rousing Resilience but also Defy pain… (these 2 doesnt work together because defy pain is a stunbreaker but your already invul to dmg.. so extra toughness is just not needed.. so your taking Rousing Resilience just for that 1 balanced stance skill? over CI that gives you more adrenaline also? dunno..
I dont think this build will generate enough adrenaline.
(edit: maby axe 5 does in group.. yup)
i do like the sword immob into a axe whirl.. but still it dmg issnt that great. with GS you just whirlwind over someone doing almost the same dmg in much shorter time without a setup and an evade.

Actually, it was 12k+ before the patch on a semi-squishy target. Now with the improved 10% damage when your endurance isn’t full, I’ve gone as high as 20k with earthshaker>hammer2>backbreaker>auto attack.
I think hes getting at the point of the earthshaker arching slice combo no longer working. like sure we have more dmg now but like if we are vs a thief and we want to burst fast without them being able to break unless they know they are going to get stuned. then we could with f1 on hammer and f1 on gs
Just from my experience i found out that you can better keep smashing your hammer stuff after earthshaker (earth > Staggering > Backbreak > Fierce blow > Auto > this rotation with berserker might and hammer trait does soooo much dmg!! this rotation does kill every thief without getting out > around 17-18k) swapping to GS is great for arcing slice yes.. but this also stucked you into weaponswap cooldown.
if you consider the whole situation in pvp I would say warrior is worse than before.
shoutbow isn’t that efficient as before. because of the huge dps buffs other classes have gotten, you have on the one hand problems to hold a 2v1 and on the other hand it’s nearly impossible to support your team enough to outheal / cleanse conditions.
Same with hambow.
What we got is a buff of gs-zerk-warrior but I really doubt that this will be viable.
A zerk class without sneaky / instant bursts isn’t really worth if you compare it with a mesmer who can oneshot people out of stealth.
So now we have traded a viable build for a just4fun GS build. PvE and WvW bois will thank it.
Yeah for shoutbow/hambow i can see its worse. But this will maby change with some balancing. And ofc some stuff does to much dmg.
But i didnt liked shoutbow soo yeah i prefer a warrior power style

Longbow just doesnt do enough dmg anymore in a power build, maby with cele/might stacking you can do its old dmg again but i rather have a weapon that apply pressure from the start.Besides, with the cleansing on weapon swap we can miss a burst from time to time…
And when you cant do enough pressure you just wasting time to survive.. it worked pre patch because the condi did allot of dmg also.. now not so sure anymore.With hamm/gs i dont need that sustain (still enough sustain) but i can apply pressure right from the start, forcing others to go defensive

you are absolutely right. i just prefer the longbow since i have been playing gs longbow since closed beta XD
before the patch i had been playing with gs/axe/shield just to spite the longbow because everyone thinks you cant play war without CI and LB. but all the ppl i kill 1v 1-4 in wvw would say that you can kill ppl without CI and the LB.
i also enjoy the uncertainty for my opponents that comes along with my build, as can be seen with my duel with Nhymx (TDM).
Aah yeah the people saying your OP if they fail and call you a OP hambow/shoutbow.. just because you run longbow.. (and not even hambow/shoutbow) lol @ them :-P
Been using gs/lb for almost 2 years now i think? but yeah it hurts me still to drop longbow.. but i am having a good time with hammer now (only not vs blind uugh) but yeah if nothing changed about condi so longbow still did good dmg in power builds i would stick to gs/lb everyday.

Thats what i think a warrior should be in the first place!
This patch made that happend.
Before we had to go full defensive with longbow to survive and it worked because we could kill others but it takes time… ofc back then you could go full zerker also but it just didnt do enough dmg vs bunkers
Now full zerker will kill bunkers (bunkers didnt even have to dodge before.. when they make mistakes they will go down now)
What i hope for?
-little speed increase on rush
-earthshaker fix
-rework of rifle
-was hoping for some love for physical skills
What i dont hope for?
-Dmg nerfs (when dmg got nerfed we dont do enough pressure.. falling back into you know what)
-More penalty to adrenaline, it looks like anet is sticking everything to its “connecting burst mentality”, while this promotes skilled play it also forcing us to use longbow again.

Before this patch it was just all so slow! even zerk vs zerk was taking ages!
till someone dies because of cooldown/passive
Now its dodge or get nuked, so you have to time your burst skills and dont just jump in.
Bunkers still bunker good but they atleast need to dodge now, before they didnt even have to dodge.
loving it also :-)
Finally you get punished when your slow on dodging and run full zerker.
But it also works the way around now!!
Bunkers are still bunkering if they know what to do.. (before this patch they didnt even need to dodge your burst skills..)

I often feel that i get less on my main warrior.. and dont give much about other classes..

I the end i have a great time in this game! my greatest + point with gw2 is the fighting mechanic! its so kitten nice! there is no other game that gives me this much combat feeling like gw2 does.

I think its a fair price for the xpac.
I mentioned Healing Surge in the other thread. It’s been renamed to “To the Limit” and is categorized as a shout. It also gives a flat 25 endurance to yourself and nearby allies (600 radius).
Healing Signet now gives 6 seconds of Resistance on activation.
Ofc lets buff shoutbow to its TOP!! because thats all warrior is?

What is the question? Mending is not skill grouped and has no changes, as far as I can tell. Zerker stance did not get converted to resistance for 6/23 (still on the table, but hasn’t been decided yet).

Mending will be a physical skill
Healing surge > shout
All physical skills would also get a buff (stomp would stomp further.. etc)
Nothing about that??

It used to be +100% dmg on physical skills
From prev Anet made this 100/150/200% more dmg
But that would ofc be OP inc with Rampage..
So its now 10/20/30% more dmg… thats really REALLY low for physical skills. (not for Rampage)

I am going to run gs/ham soon also (coming from gs/lb.. but lb issnt really needed anymore if the change to CI is real… and LB dmg i nerfed for power users)
Also gs/ham both benefit from the new “warrior sprint” and movement change…
About “burst mastery” vs “Merci Ham”
If the change to adrenaline is true then you really dont need burst mastery anymore and i think the hammer trait will perform better in the long term.
