No matter how you look at it the game has aged and the price of buying something that is considered essential Utility (even more so now that so many new items have been introduced thus taking up even more space) has risen “Overall” when you take into account all of the methods of obtaining gems.

The extra bag slots are not an essential utility, though. People can and do play the game without adding any extra bag slots to any characters. The extra slots are simply an optional luxury item. So, I honestly don’t consider the price to be out of line or exorbitant, even if the game is three years old.

quoted for truth. I have ‘a few’ characters, and of those characters two of them has recieved a single bag slot upgrade each. I haven’t really found a need to expand them fully, or give the expansions to any other character, despite carrying around copious amounts of fun items (tonics, balloon, etc) wherever I go (even into dungeons and on world boss runs) on whoever I’m playing.

I can’t imagine how much junk you must carry around with you OP if you think upgrading bag slots is a needed thing…

Your characters that have started or finished LS2 will be bugged. I only have 2 toons that have finished/started, in the middle of LS2, where are the rest are fine.

not true. I have several lvl 80 characters who are still sitting on lvl 30 story and haven’t touched season 2 yet and are bugged. funny thing is, the people I have completed season 2 on are actually fine, but I have characters ranging from level 21 to 80 who are now bugged, and some that aren’t. there doesn’t seem to be any consistancy to it.

it has broken on more than one of my characters, but is fine on others, so this isn’t completely true

same here. all my achievements have been reset and locked too, including all the work I put into the luminescent skins (I had 1 pendant left to buy).

I liked the old design of Lion’s Arch, it had it’s own character and unique qualities. now it just feels like someone came along, concreted over those unique qualities, and replaced it with a cheezy theme park.

while it is well done, the textures and stuff (the designers really did do a great job), it has still lost what it was. it isn’t Lion’s Arch anymore, it isn’t even somewhere I can take seriously anymore.

on the plus side it makes me appreciate the personal story instances that happen in old Lion’s Arch all the more.

the texas one (I’m fairly sure, as it has happened before) is the forum logging you in. not sure about the others though.

have you bought the recipe for the insignia? it isn’t one that automatically turns up unless you have the recipe.

they aren’t in the instance, they are in a cave north of the instance entrance.

if you cancel the craft all mid-stack, the box on the left of the buttons will contain the number it got to. if you just click craft it will craft that number.

essentially there is no ‘craft 1’ button, it is a ‘craft specific amount’ button. the specific amount is whatever is in the box to the left (which can be changed to 1, if that’s what you need).

in other words, this is not a bug.

sounds like your status might be set to invisible (grey square next to your name in the contacts panel) to me, take a look in the contacts panel and see if you are set to online (green square next to your name) or not.

if it says you’re invisible, change it to online.

if it says you are online already, try changing your status to invisible and back again, it might do nothing, but worth a try

there isn’t a race change, but you can delete the character and re-use the name. it is your name for 24 hours after you delete a character (I believe), so you have 24 hours to re-use before someone else can have a shot at it.

No, you can’t get it, since you bought the game before January 2015, and you bought it from gamestop. 2 reasons you can’t get it.

You don’t do anything. If you are entitled to a refund (which you aren’t for the above stated reasons), it will be automatically given to you. No need to apply.

I find Metrica Provice to be the best looking zone, and it just flows right. It also has lots of interesting NPCs, dialogues, and events which really adds to the zone. It is always the first place I go when creating a character (after the cities).

have you picked up an ele’s ice bow? this happens randomly at the moment when interacting with ice bows, so that could explain it.

as far as I can remember, Destiny’s Edge has never done anything, but stay as far away from anything as possible (near the armor repair). they do help later in the instance though, but not during the cannon/giant/dragon champion parts.

if the giants are there, you have to defeat them, by reflecting their stuff back at them. the airship will not move until they are defeated.

I did the instance last night, alone, it worked perfectly.

heart (or chest) rewards only stack up to 4 or 5 (or something like that) iirc, any above that are automatically collected. it has been doing this since sometime last year(?), when the system was changed from mail for heart rewards to the clickable rewards.

you should have both got rewards if you both have it unlocked. that is odd. did you both read the mail before starting the instance?

you’re missing map piece 2/4. just because items have the same icon and flavor text it doesn’t make them the same item 3/4 is still not 2/4.

this makes a difference, because you can only get rewards if you have it unlocked yourself, so thought I’d ask.

if you all have it unlocked, you can try restarting it for the other person, with them starting the instance. if that still doesn’t help, you would probably be better off contacting support.

sounds silly, but try putting the mystic coins in first. the forge is sometimes picky about order (no idea why).

doesn’t just happen on revenant, but seeing as it was noticed on them, it might get fixed.

the HoT upgrade option is still in the game for gems. it’s in the upgrades tab (you have to scroll down some in the tab, but it is there)

the tutorials maps have always been for multiple players, regardless of the steps players have to go through. they have, up until now, been your server only, now they will be for everyone going through the tutorial.

iirc you don’t get agony resistance from unequipped weapons (secondary set or underwater, unless underwater or equipping the secondary weapon).

no, it is not part of the core game, it is additional DLC and is not included in the pre-purchase (or any purchase) of HoT.

If this is true and is considered a DLC in a recent developer post it was said in the future they would include all past expansions and the core game with every release of a new expansion.. does this statement exclude HoT (or is DLC just not included period and if so why make the DLC a key to the story… $$$$)

HoT is an expansion, so from what has been said, it will be included when a new expansion is released. Living World isn’t an expansion though, so won’t be included, like it wasn’t this time.

if having DLC needed for the story to make sense was all about money, gold wouldn’t be able to be used instead, and they wouldn’t have given it out for free in the first 2 weeks they were released. that’s just my opinion though.

if you expand the My Story tab, there should be a button at the top that says ‘continue this story’. if you click that it will continue the personal story where you left off.

just tested on a level 25 mesmer who was created way before the patch and has been sat at that level for a while (had chaos specialization and some utils unlocked and had 0 hero points according to the panel). level 31 was when he started getting hero points again, but he only got 5 at level 31 instead of the 8. at level 33 he got the full 8, so it does seem like a debt payment of hero points.

at level 31 you should have gained roughly 68 total hero points (without any challenges). 1 full specialisation line costs 60 hero points, add in a few utilities (at 2-5 hero points each) and at level 25, you would have more than likely spent more than you truly had.

sounds like the system made up for that by not giving you more, until you’d earned enough to cover what was already unlocked.

Edit to clarify: with no challenges done at level 25 you’d have 44 points. if the changeover gave you 1 full specialization line you’d end up with -16, on top of that the cost for utilities unlocked. so, it isn’t that you weren’t gaining any, it’s that the changeover caused you to spend points you didn’t have. when the amount went back to 0 you started gaining them again at level 31.

pretty sure the glider will only be able to be used in heart of maguuma areas (thats how I read it anyway)

try looking for camera controls in the options (where the key binds are) it’ll tell you what the default key for zooming in is. if there isn’t one, you can assign it. it might help

scrolls are spirit shards now, the scrolls in your bank have been converted to this new currency. skill scrolls no longer give skill/hero points, only spirit shards, so it wouldn’t have mattered who you used them on.

you get hero points (skill points) from levelling and doing hero (skill) challenges.

skill point scrolls now give spirit shards, not hero points.

have you tried clicking the equipment panel? its the top tab in that panel. it doesn’t automatically show all the time.
