can’t speak for anyone else, but I like the Isle of Janthir. quite a few friendly people on there. unfortunately though I think its full

best way is to check both (have both the merchant and TP open) then you can get the best price

seeing as everyone is running for them, why not just ask for help, or for a group in map chat in the area, or in lion’s arch? personally I’d be fine running with anyone needing to get there.

that is sad. I was hoping more people would be interested, but it might have been the wrong time to bring it up with all the halloween stuff going on

yes, you’ll be able to do the older acts too, all the way up until the end of the event

according to a mod (I forget who, sorry) the book isn’t needed for act 2 as it is a separate event

mail is cross-world (as far as I remember) as long as you use their name on here (account name)

I’m sorry Xyrm, but I don’t see how it is cheapening anything. how does getting help make the rest of the effort needed irrelevant? the effort and gold sink into these weapons is phenomenal, if someone wants to do it alone, good for them, but what is wrong with a little help and making someone’s day?

I agree it is worth it and would be interested if you ever thought of starting it, otherwise things I have collected are just going to waste sat there in my bank (knowing I’m not going to use them myself). I would rather they went to someone else who’d find them useful.

not really being too interested in legendaries myself (which makes me a strange breed I guess seeing some of the posts) I would gladly help someone else get one if that was their goal.

however this is where I see a problem. you help someone complete their long-term goal and then what do they do? (because apparently end game has nothing much more than grinding for legendaries)

everything from all the acts will be there until the end of the event, so don’t worry about it, you haven’t missed anything

when I did it I did on a lvl 60 something (I think), noticed alot of people running it and going down, so when I’d done me and a friend (also around 60) decided to go back and rez people on the path in (and keep the enemies down and make sure the door stayed open) so that people having trouble could get through.

we spent over 3 hours in there just helping people because we thought it was only fair that everyone trying to get it should have a chance at it.

thats very odd, I didn’t think there was a specific order to them, otherwise the first book wouldn’t have clues for the last one. what if you figured that out first?

anyway, he’s probably bugged (it happens sometimes) see if you can get some of the other books first and go back to him. if he still doesn’t give you the book and if Tassi doesn’t accept that you finished, submit a ticket in-game. he might get fixed then with the next update.

don’t worry, you still have plenty of time to go back and do it. you have until the end event, so plenty of time

have you spoken to Tassi yet to get the scanner? it sounds like a daft question (and it is) just trying to get a sense of what you have done and what you haven’t, so please bare with me. if you’ve spoken to Tassi, but haven’t got anything in your inventory, check your ingame mail. if you have the scanner you might want to get Serene (she’s a ghost a few paces to the right of Tassi), that might help you progress.

it was said by a mod (I forget the thread, but someone had transmogrified theirs to give it better stats) that any continuation to the first quest was separate, so anything you did to the book didn’t matter. you can’t get more than one though, so choose what to do with it wisely, or lose it forever

hey all. wanted to ask something about this. I’ve seen it a few times and thought it was a great idea, but I’m already in a guild and I’m not exactly a new player. can I still put my name down anyways?

if you double-click a dye it will add it to the list of colours you can use. you can look at the colours you have and change the colour of armour by looking in the hero panel. the icon is next to town clothes (I think, well its up there somewhere), then you just pick a colour from the left (where your colours are) and put it in one (or all if you prefer) of the squares in the right side.

if I remember right skins in GW1 were account-wide too not just per character

the craftable items are a permanent addition (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/halloween/Mystic-Forge-recipes) the mats though you can only get during the halloween event (or after on the trading post)

in Metrica Province the 11-13 hearts are up the middle/top right side of the map (14-15 up the left), they should help you getting higher level

there is that too

vistas and points of interest also give xp, and the personal story if you haven’t done it up to that level already, gathering ore, wood and plants is good too. or just explore, enjoy the scenery and kill anything that looks at you funny nods

any level, as long as its a juvenile it can be tamed

it would help if you posted what server you are on, then you can find people who are on the same server who would be willing to run around with you.

I voted “You have not bought keys for the halloween skins and do not plan to for this or other holidays”, wasn’t interested from the start in this. would I buy gems for something else? yes I would, for the mini pets maybe, or upgrades (bank slots etc), but not for skins.

they aren’t solely a real life money gamble when you can buy gems with gold. just because people chose to buy them with real money to get the keys doesn’t mean there wasn’t a different option.

if there is I’m not sure what it is. I haven’t spent alot of time in the area to be honest and was actually going to the skill point, but she was there so I thought “why not?” (like you do). if there was a chain before her I missed it.

there is a lack of hydra’s, but I was still thinking more along the lines of the blood witch than a pirate

I agree. personally I am enjoying the event, having fun brawling (without a gem store costume), carving pumpkins etc. I don’t feel the need to have the weapon skins, so to me not having them doesn’t change the enjoyment level of the event. its all about having fun, which is what I am doing.

others are free to cry about stuff that doesn’t matter, and doesn’t make a difference to anything. its just a skin. whoop-di-doo! I don’t see what the fuss is about, especially when there is so much going on away from skins. go and enjoy the event people

I got her yesterday. the name is deceptive she’s actually a pirate champion in bloodtide coast (can’t remember her name), she was near the laughing gull waypoint on the ship with the skill point in it.

I got it after defeating her, which to be honest I didn’t expect. I expected it to be a water creature. so call this an accidental discovery.

I think the only time sensitive one is the big end event. to me thats what it sounds like anyway, and makes sense that way. I guess I could be wrong though

also perhaps an increase on the amount of items that can be attached to mails. the reason: if I am sending mats (or crafted items) that I don’t use to someone else I often feel limited by the few slots and hit the mail cap with this.

I get why the system would see it as spam, but seeing as this is the ONLY way I can send items it feels very restrictive.
