I’m just going to assume you have never had a hardware failure in your life that led to any kind of data loss, or had someone else accidentally delete something you’ve been working on, or one of the million other things that could happen.

however, in reality, it does happen for various reasons, so their explanation is completely valid. I even know of a mmo that had to shut down because they lost the entire game in a server crash and they didn’t have a proper backup. a set of weapons is nothing compared to that.

you are looking at the wvw panel (where the gift of battle track is). the track can’t be progressed in pvp, it can only be progressed in wvw. you probably have maguuma jungle reward track selected for pvp.

My elementalist is level 31. He has not gotten any hero points for the last 5 levels. On top of that, the list of upcoming rewards shows +2 hero points at level 55.

I think we should be getting hero points a lot more often than that.

is this an old character? as in created before the trait change before HoT? if it is it would have been grandfathered into the system, and given traits. this gave characters more traits than they would have had points, and so there was a period of levelling where characters didn’t get any points (until the backlog was cleared)

Does that mean I can just farm the lowest level fractal to get the drop?

yes, you can farm the lowest level (although iirc they don’t need farming and are guaranteed drops), and most of the low level fractals are soloable/douable (depending on switches, like in swamp or dredge fractals)

this works on mac, and might show whats going on (not sure exactly if that is the case as I don’t have a mac to test it on)

my graphics card died the the other day (waiting for replacement), and have had to put a horrible hd7730 card in just so I have a display. I only login to grab my daily login, but I’ve noticed improved fps with that compared to before the patch

I am currently at character slot limit (can’t buy any more from the upgrades tab). if I buy the prep pack, will the character slot from it disappear into the aether, or will it be added to my account?

not working for me either, noticed it just after the patch, before then it worked fine (even when I couldn’t log in)

usually skills that use ‘nearby’ have a radius skill fact. nearby is within that radius.

eg: Empower Allies
Increases power of nearby allies by 150 points.

While it’s possible that ANet might skip the last step and make core Tyria masteries tied to HoT, I can’t see how or why. It would be more work for them to do that, not less.

but the aoe loot ability in WvW (provisions) is tied to HoT. the line itself even unlocks HoT recipe purchases.

would be interested to know if it will be available for only PoF owners, or if HoT is a must for the WvW side at least.

go to Lion’s Arch and out to Bloodtide Coast through the exit by Bloodcoast Ward Waypoint (which is by Fort Mirriner). from the start waypoint, head south and over a bridge to Stormbluff Isle. grab the waypoint there, and head down the hill to where all the skelk/skale (forget which) are in the shallow water. look across the water to the land. that is Laughing Gull Island.

When something is added to WvW (even if it comes with an update), aside from new classes, it is availible to everyone in WvW. If it wasn’t it would unbalance WvW and create an unfair advantage for people who spent money.

That being said, any future updates to wvw should be availible to everyone who plays wvw. Autoloot should also be availible to everyone in wvw even without hot because it is now a wvw mastry and not a hot/cental tyria mastry.

that is not true. the provisions master ability (needed for autoloot in WvW) is not available for people who don’t own HoT.

not sure how that will work without HoT and just PoF though, but if I had to guess, that one at least wouldn’t be available because it unlocks HoT recipes

funny thing. it doesn’t say anything in the FAQ about people who buy PoF, but then sometime later want to buy HoT.

they will be behind mastery progression, but not HoT masteries I’d bet, so a mastery reset wouldn’t make a difference.

your server is currently linked in wvw to Vabbi. your home server is still Underworld though.

you should have been sent an email from support when creating your ticket. you can reply to that and attach things instead of going through the online ticket system if you’re having issues.

did you bring a crude leather book with you? you need that to unlock the training guide and the dialogue iirc

without ‘adaptive lighting’ (which I never use by the way), the hide out area was overly dark (screenshot attached).

did you use the arrow cart? asking because I’ve never had it stall when I used it. even when it can’t actually attack. I wait for the green star to appear over it (after the npc chatter), use it, exit out of it and kill them

when playing in windowed mode, and the window is out of focus, the icon changes orange to indicate the zone you were loading into has done loading and you can now play. it has done that for a long time.
