you get them from adventures, but I wouldn’t exactly call some of them easy.

72 hour restriction, according to the wiki, is for the currency exchange (converting gold to gems etc), but does not mention the other, more recent restrictions on new accounts.

new accounts have a 5 day wait period after validating (email and sms) to use the trading post fully. this information isn’t on the wiki.

the wiki is kept up to date by players though, not Anet, so sometimes information can be missed out.

Buying this game. Kidding haha, the stupidest thing huh? Oh i deleted my first char a silvari mesmer to go to my friends server black tide for wvw. Ting is that was like in 2013 or so and i had asc weapons and like 4 asc armor pieces and full asc trinkets. All berskerker and i deleted them with my mesmer coz i didnt know you could put them in bank and give them to a char on a diff server. It was also my first set and it was light kill me.

you’ll be pleased to learn that back then in 2013 ascended armor/weapon was account bound, but soul bound on use (same with legendaries) and you had to use transmutation crystals to move the stats to an unbound item. sometimes you’d have to use the gem store only transmutation splitters to get the original items back.

ah the days before the wardrobe

edit to add: speaking of days before the wardrobe. my biggest stupid there was deleting quite a few skins that I can’t get anymore, thinking they’d come back, like the mad memoires skin (the green one). I still regret that.

it happens every now and then, my gw1 is showing as buy now too, has before and will again I’m sure. my HoM points from gw1 are still there in gw2 though, so I’m not worried

not sure it does all the time. me and my gf both wear dps gear, but everything in SAB will absolutely ignore me to attack her. if we play with a friend of ours (also in dps gear), then he is always the target.

this happens with enemies, and the attack the cage parts.

what the person is saying is before the patch if you hid the backpack in the hero panel, it wouldn’t play the voices. now after the patch, even hidden, it plays the voice.

female…. human? charr? asura? sylvari? norn?

krait weapons, and gladiator, noble and masquerade armor are the crafted sets.

you can buy it in WvW from the heroics notary, like you said in your original post, after putting points into Provisions Master and maxed it out (wxp upgrade ~ you need 55 points).

that’s the only other way to get it.

it loads perfectly fine for me.

you could try deleting the bin64 (or bin if you use the 32 bit version) folder from your gw2 install folder (usually C:\Program Files\Guild Wars 2\). it contains the tp’s files and sometimes deleting them fixes issues with it loading. the game will re-create the files when it next loads, so it’s a fresh version.

- Dungeon Mode (5 man limit) For Commander Tags:
It would be awesome if someone with a commander tag had the option to go dungeon mode with a 5 man limit like we have with the raid mode option for 10 people. So, that way we could use markers to help teach new people where to go in dungeons or even fractals. I’m not saying people must have a commander tag to do dungeons or fractals, but if someone has a tag it would be another great tool to have.

funny you mention this. you used to be able to tag up in dungeons. I think it was before the tag updates for raids and such though. no idea why the function was removed because it was amazingly useful.

try repairing the client. its usually caused by something getting corrupted in the data.

has the character you’re playing on learned the song? you have to know the song before you can use it.

are you sure it’s bugged and not in a different point in the event chain? are you actually waiting around for the event chain to start/progress, or do you wp in, see it isn’t up and wp out again?

if all you do is wp in and out, you are almost guaranteeing that you will hardly ever see the event running.

if you’ve waited to see if it starts, or the quaggan escort event before it starts, and they just aren’t you should probably send an in-game bug report, as it logs the IP of the map shard you are currently on, and can help Anet identify where the problem is.

Agreed Incupatus. Not the same time commitment; however, lots of time if you have multiple characters. After doing full map complete on 3 characters, I just do not want to spend the time doing it for all my others, but still would like to use them in all of what GW2 has to offer. Therefore if WP unlocks could be purchased, I imagine players would buy them, and potentially rejuvenate other long time players like me that do not want that grind anymore. Again, a prerequisite of finishing full map complete on at least 1 character would have to be complete to open the purchase ability, and once purchased as suggested by Aryiana, the reward if eventually finished would be forfeited for that character.

I would completely, 100% support this idea. I’d never use it myself (because I still enjoy getting world completion on my characters), but would be great for people who just want to play and don’t want to do world exploring over.

someone in the comments of the video suggested dodge jumping backwards and it worked for them, maybe try it?

If you add `—nopatchui` to the launcher shortcut at home you can even ensure that it will never patch over 3G, no matter what.

your last part here isn’t correct. even with nopatchui, the game will still patch before running. the difference being that you don’t see it happening.

have you hit the 15000 cap for it? the cap total includes dailies and the old monthlies.

please tell me how a holographic game within the game world has no place within it.

just because you don’t like the temporary festival content that is available in the game, doesn’t mean it should be removed. it’s a bit of fun, like Halloween and Wintersday. nothing more than that, and fits quite nicely within the game world as far as I’m concerned. Moto (the creator of SAB) has been mentioned as helping Taimi. he has a place in this world, and so does his creation.

it’s like saying raids should be removed because their inclusion creates a lot of noise, and if you ask some they have no place in this world because they lack a story mode mostly and because they are so far removed from other group content within the game (I’m not anti raid, it’s just an example).

just ignore it, and move on if you don’t like it.

wasn’t it because there was a huge plane crash somewhere (I forget where exactly it was, Germany I think) and people found it in bad taste to have a plane representation in the game? or something like that. I don’t completely remember.

I made a new engi specifically for this rifle. ok, in groups it probably won’t be seen, but I can play to my heart’s content in open world content and living world with an awesome new rifle!

try being an engi. still no grenade barrage effect for juggernaut, and occasionally the legendary effects get removed from it completely like they did in 2015 for roughly half a year. also no legendary effects while using kits, but hey, it’s not like engi’s use those a lot… oh wait…

that is intended. the festive item (which is heavy crafting bags right now) is always locked in 1 slot, with 2 slots that give random items (and a chance at another, forth, extra item).

it does look like that is where the problem is for you. if that is part of your isp’s network, you should probably contact them about it.

A single host with high packet loss, like that one, followed by hosts with “normal” packet loss mean that specific machine isn’t responding to the type of packet used to track the connection, nothing more.

If it was the problem you would see packet loss at least as high for every step following it. In the screenshot we can see that it’s definitely around the same level as the steps prior to it, so it’s not an issue.

if you legitimately earned it, as in you played gw1 and earned all the HoM points, then don’t worry about the message. the system sometimes blips and sends them out, but usually fixes itself in a few hours.

if it doesn’t fix itself, and you earned the rewards, log into your GW1 game, and quickly go to HoM. that usually refreshes the reward count in GW2.

gather all the evidence you can and contact your isp. Anet does not route you through gtt.net, your isp does.

failing that route, you could try using a vpn, like Battleping, WTFast, or freevpn to try and force a different route.

I killed a few air elementals/sparks in Malchor’s Leap near Doric’s waypoint today. took maybe 20 kills to get the thing to drop.

all HoT stat sets are account bound, which is why you can’t buy them on the trading post.
