just so you know, the audio skipping thing can also happen if there are other people around doing the same story steps (I’ve experienced this many times), so make sure when you’re going near the disks that no other players are there.
| 61 Asura | 5 Charr | 2 Norn | 1 Human | 1 Sylvari |
unfortunately, it isn’t happening to everyone. I can’t get the bug to happen in my game, neither on characters who’ve done it already, or ones that haven’t, but I know it could just be a ‘good’ map where it isn’t broken.
you could also try reporting it in-game (if you haven’t already). the in-game report gives the devs more information about what’s going on at the time.
in the meantime, the only thing I can suggest is keep trying, and hope you’re lucky enough to hit a good map. best time for that is when the wurm boss is up because more map shards will be created.
| 61 Asura | 5 Charr | 2 Norn | 1 Human | 1 Sylvari |
you can click on the previous story (Tangled Paths), click to reply that, then click the ‘quit this episode’. after that click on Seeds of Truth and click continue. it should resend you the mail.
| 61 Asura | 5 Charr | 2 Norn | 1 Human | 1 Sylvari |
try starting the game in windowed mode with the -windowed switch. it should allow you to access the options in-game and change the resolution.
if you don’t know how to use the -windowed switch, here’s some instructions:
For Windows
1. Right click on your Guild Wars 2 shortcut and select ‘Properties’.
2. In the ‘Target’ field you will see the location of your Guild Wars 2 executable file
3. Write the desired command line argument after the quote marks, beginning with a space:
right: “…\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -windowed
wrong: “…\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe”-windowed
For Mac
1. Right/ctrl-click GuildWars2.app and choose ShowPackageContent
2. Find Contents>Resources>CiderSettings.plist
3. Using TextEdit find this line:
<string>—cmdline ""</string>
4. Add the command line arguments you want between the quotation marks like this:
<string>—cmdline “-windowed”</string>

I usually do random events, because I actually enjoy them and the chatter that happens before/during/after them.
some of the npcs who announce them are annoying though. Scholar Geneeve, who hangs around Pagga’s Post is extremely annoying with her constant “You look like you can handle some drakes.” for example.

the new xp boosters (yellow rarity) can’t be converted with the boost powder, only the old ones can (blue rarity).

are you skipping the cutscene? sometimes skipping it can cause you to not be put in there.
| 61 Asura | 5 Charr | 2 Norn | 1 Human | 1 Sylvari |
/stuck (in the chat box) usually works in instances. it teleports you to the last checkpoint in 30s if you stand still after activating it.
you can try that, but haven’t tried it in the Mordremoth fight myself to see what actually happens.
| 61 Asura | 5 Charr | 2 Norn | 1 Human | 1 Sylvari |
it wasn’t always like this T-T
before the first halloween patch, there used to be a ‘hair’ texture painted on the scalp. nothing fancy, but it looked ok (on humans).
after…. well, we all know what happened after.
it translates to: it looked odd on other races (especially asura), so everyone is just gonna have to be bold

just so you know (and can tell the guy you were running with maybe) in instances /stuck (in the chat box) works for getting you out of scenary. it will teleport to the last checkpoint after 30 seconds if you use it and stand still.
not a fix, but a work around
| 61 Asura | 5 Charr | 2 Norn | 1 Human | 1 Sylvari |
It doesn’t get used but for people to abuse the system.
I use auto attack. I don’t afk farm. removing it would drive me nuts. just because you don’t use it doesn’t mean that no one does.
besides, I don’t think removing auto attack would fix the issue in the slightest. they’d just find another way.
“oh let me stand here and hit 1 and walk away from the boss.”
from what I’ve seen, some people do.

also, sometimes the forge is funny about the order that stuff is put in, even if it is the right combination of items.
try putting the philosopher’s stone first, that always works for me.

not sure what’s going on with the flashing bar you mentioned, you might want to try a client repair for that. here’s how:
https://help.guildwars2.com/hc/en-us/articles/201863008-Repairing-the-Game-Client
as for the boss itself, it is particularly unfair to pet classes. the boss will heal from you and your clones. this means it can take literally forever for the circles to show up. had the same problem on a minion necro.
try it over after the repair, but don’t use any skills that spawn phantasms/clones. it might be enough to get the boss to progress (I think the circles show after a % damage, but don’t remember what it was)
| 61 Asura | 5 Charr | 2 Norn | 1 Human | 1 Sylvari |
not a bug, but working as intended. says so on the tooltip:
‘Berserker skills detonate fire aura, damaging and burning nearby foes’

cost wise you can check on gw2efficiency. some are cheaper to just save for and buy.
https://gw2efficiency.com/crafting/legendaries
as for quickness, if you buy everything to craft, they’re all pretty much the same. though I find the new ones (the ones that only need a recipe, not a quest) take much less time

if this is the first time you’ve ever touched the box (and you’ve double checked your achievement panel), then you should probably make a ticket with support:

I guess I must be odd, but I’ve always levelled like this. I never gear anyone properly until they’re 80. until then they get whatever drops as long as its better than what they had before.
I seriously enjoy it. every single time

on a serious note: they said they would be announcing details after the next living story episode, so in 3 months-ish we’ll know for sure. they also said that the expac would drop after that as if it were another living story episode, but a little longer time wise, so that there wouldn’t be much of a gap like there was last time.
| 61 Asura | 5 Charr | 2 Norn | 1 Human | 1 Sylvari |
I have… a few…. characters (see signature). I don’t play all of them all the time, obviously. I do switch between them, depending on what I’m doing, or which I feel like playing. some I’m still levelling.
I don’t see a single one of them as a waste

1 gold for 24 hours is more than cheap. for something like this I’d expect it to have a gem cost, or a much much much higher gold cost
edit to add: 1 gold is half the 10 minute daily, which is nothing compared to the amount of gold I’m sure ‘high end’ players are raking in.

pressing and depressing have the same meaning when it comes to things like buttons, the opposite being releasing the button.
like SlippyCheeze.5483 mentioned, activation of skills in MMO’s is quite often on button release, not on the initial press

this is an engi build that uses a rifle and is good for fractals:
https://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Engineer_-_Power_Bomber
it’s good for open world stuff (used a variant myself). despite it being a power build, it has pretty good survivability too.

I got this error after the patch. I ignored it/closed it without repairing. I haven’t had any problems with the game because of it.
| 61 Asura | 5 Charr | 2 Norn | 1 Human | 1 Sylvari |
you are experiencing an out of memory error that happens with the 32bit version of the game.
there are a few ways to help to improve the situation, like lowering graphics settings, especially things like other player models, reflections, and shadows. this will lengthen the time it takes for the game to experience the same error.
the only way to completely avoid it is to upgrade to the 64bit version of Windows 10 and use the 64bit version of the game.
| 61 Asura | 5 Charr | 2 Norn | 1 Human | 1 Sylvari |
pretty sure all items in the shared inventory will be retained, since it is an account-wide feature
| 61 Asura | 5 Charr | 2 Norn | 1 Human | 1 Sylvari |
for the jumping puzzles the easiest way to get them (and the longest) is to wait until they are in the daily rotation. if they are a daily, there will be a friendly mesmer nearby helping people to get it.
alternatively, you could ask in map chat if anyone will help out.

isn’t the cooldown for lunar impact ~8 seconds? in your video the recharge is ~4-5 seconds. seeing as quick draw only works on one skill it looks to be working.

I’d pay $50 for the expansion if all they did was reclassify aqua breathers as headgear so I could use my land skin underwater. my eye patch wearing pirate needs this!

have you tried disabling windows defender’s real time protection? sometimes that can cause GW2 to crash/not connect.
here’s a page on how to turn it off (and on if that isn’t the problem):
http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/how-to/windows/how-turn-on-of-off-windows-defender-3466684/
also you could try using the -clientport 80 switch in the game shortcut. here’s how:
1. Navigate to your Guild Wars 2 installation folder.
2. Right-click on “GW2.exe” and select “Create Shortcut.”
3. Rename this shortcut to “Guild Wars 2 Port Test.” (you can skip renaming it)
4. Right-click on this shortcut and select “Properties.”
5. Edit the “Target” line to include -clientport 80 at the end.
Note: Please make sure -clientport 80 is outside of the quotes
Correctly Formatted Example (note the space after GW2.exe”):
“C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe” -clientport 80
Incorrectly Formatted Example:
“C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe”-clientport 80
Incorrectly Formatted Example:
“C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe -clientport 80”
6. Once completed, click “Ok” to save your changes.
If you get an error trying to save, your target line may not have the correct format. Please try step 5 again.
7. Double click the shortcut and try connecting again.

pretty sure it isn’t a bug seeing as it happens with countless other npcs in the home instance. they are all character specific depending on where alts are in the story and often times what paths they’ve chosen (which race to help in PS for eg).
| 61 Asura | 5 Charr | 2 Norn | 1 Human | 1 Sylvari |

| 61 Asura | 5 Charr | 2 Norn | 1 Human | 1 Sylvari |
are you using a gathering/item booster? the booster applies speed and causes characters to draw their weapons
| 61 Asura | 5 Charr | 2 Norn | 1 Human | 1 Sylvari |
it was causing major performance issues for many who had dual core processors, like crashing and huge fps drops.
here’s the dev post about it (the grayed out texture quality line is referring to texture quality from the drop down menu. this has been fixed):
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/support/FPS-Issue-with-the-9-9-patch-merged/page/6#post4506286
| 61 Asura | 5 Charr | 2 Norn | 1 Human | 1 Sylvari |
doubt it. they specifically changed the game to do that ~2 years ago.
| 61 Asura | 5 Charr | 2 Norn | 1 Human | 1 Sylvari |
high res character textures are not available to people with dual core processor machines, which yours is. you need a quad core to enable the option.
| 61 Asura | 5 Charr | 2 Norn | 1 Human | 1 Sylvari |
it’s a size scaling thing. sometimes the birds from hunter’s call are huge if the enemy is. seen it loads of times.

it sounds like deleting him deleted the mini. however you can contact support, and I’m fairly sure they’ll do something.

just fyi when you get it back (or get another mini), right-click it and select ‘add to account wardrobe’ or something along those lines. this will unlock it for your entire account.

personally I don’t sell anything that I can’t go and gather instantly anymore. cloth, leather, mc, etc, I keep every single piece I get. it doesn’t matter anymore what they are worth. mc could be 1000g each, but I still wouldn’t sell them.
besides selling them has no value to me. so I get a handful of gold, and what if I discover I need them a month later? then I can buy them back at a higher price? no thanks.
| 61 Asura | 5 Charr | 2 Norn | 1 Human | 1 Sylvari |
they usually disable recipes on patch day if market manipulation has happened, change the recipes, then re-enable them. this has happened for the last few recipes released, so don’t worry, if it is true, they already know.

Forgal Kernsson. no other character has come close to Forgal for me. he has an amazing sense of humour. I like his gritty realism, his reason for fighting, and how solid he feels as a character.
shame about the Claw Island thing. I’d take Forgal over a cutsy dragon into battle any day.

He said he did, man.
this just goes to show: never attempt to read the forum when you’ve just woke up. you will fail at reading.
edit to add: what are you gathering with? I know this sounds daft, but sometimes the unlimited tools seem to have a low drop rate on collection items. had the same issue with a collection item from coral for the legend collection. was getting hardly any with an unlimited tool (as in none at all), so switched to ori tools and got the items quite quickly.
