perhaps your local time is the same as server time and that is why it doesn’t seem to change?

are the other chat channels turned on?

there are little arrows on the chat tabs, clicking that will bring up a menu of check boxes. if things are unchecked (map, whisper, etc), they won’t show. might be worth checking

if you haven’t used or locked them to your ranger, you can put them in your bank and have your sylvari go and pick them up

guild upgrades and influence are unfortunately tied to worlds, so any upgrades you did on Devona’s Rest are still there, but you will have to start from nothing on Tarnished Coast.

edit: you can guest to do guild missions with the rest of the guild

wait for an answer from support, even without the character name, they will help him to recover his account they can take a couple of days to respond, but they are a very helpful lot, so don’t worry.

completely agree, the story should be in-game, if it isn’t it doesn’t exist. not having it in-game is just lazy.

last year was fun. there were always more than 5 in the instance, the range of races made the run to the top interesting and challenging, but not impossible. the top was a great place to take screenies, with people you’d usually spent hours with. you could play with your friends too.

this year, that is all gone. there is no challenge, no point in taking screenies (I despise PvP armor), and you can’t play with friends (unless you mess about and pray to the hot join gods). I’m sure its great for people who couldn’t do it last year, or for solo players, but for me the PvP template sucks the fun out of all activities and mini games.

Why isn’t just an NPC payable function? (like how you go to swap your crafting discipline)

I prefer the manuals to be honest. it means I can buy it whenever and carry it around, so when I hit the level it needs I can use it then, without having to run back to an npc.

the only way I know to purchase only a serial code (which is technically all you’re buying anyway, even with a boxed copy, seeing as you can download the client anywhere) only is to buy online https://buy.guildwars2.com/en/ not sure if it makes it cheaper or not though, you’ll have to check the prices yourself.

are the blueprints account or soul bound? if they are then you won’t be able to deposit them in the guild bank.

were you by chance fighting a basilisk just before this happened? its happened to me a few times while fighting those and getting caught in their stun attack. thankfully the stuck in “hero pose” as I call it does go away after a while.

you still have it, its just attached to your town clothing, just switch to town clothes to use it again

the weeping cache, which isn’t there anymore as far as I know, was for the sky pirates event, not bazaar of the four winds, so even if it was still there and you got it, it would make no progress towards getting the crystal node

this may sound silly, but have you tried going to a different city (not LA) and buying the lowest amount of influence from the promoter NPC? it worked for me when I had influence “go missing”, got it all after doing that.

since you deleted the original character it was soulbound to theres nothing you can do apart from delete it I’m afraid. if the original character still existed, you could have transmuted it (did this with mine and it now lives on an alt), but you can only do that using that original character, which is gone. sorry

I have the same problem

I have had this happen on my new engineer, it didn’t happen when I was leveling my first one though (way back in Nov/Dec), and it doesn’t happen on other professions, just engineers.

I had this error message appear last night while playing. it only happened when I leveled up. I don’t have a screenshot, but I did notice that the flash (similar to when you get a skillpoint) and the pushback that usually comes with leveling up did not happen.

there is a 72 hour waiting period for someone to withdraw from the guild bank if they have just been invited into the guild. permissions don’t matter, the wait is still there. most do not notice it because people given those permissions are usually in the guild for more than 72 hours before getting them, or they own the guild.

have you tried moving to a different city and trying to withdraw things from the bank? just something to try sometimes, but very rarely, I have issues with guild upgrades/bank access/etc in rata sum, but nowhere else, so thought I would make the suggestion.

I had a freeze issue on my charr engineer. when unlocking a utility (specifically a kit) it would lock up the client for about a min or two (I didn’t time it and it did unfreeze) after clicking to confirm. it has happened both standing still and auto-running. my g/f also had the same happen on her asura engineer.

I haven’t had it happen on other professions, just the engineers.

sure, that would work fine. its only destroyed if you have it in your bags. I have several finished keys in my bank (along with some that only have 1 or 2 steps done), so know they can be kept in the bank, and taken out for the next time you go, done that a few times

If I have the other 3 parts done, and don’t finish it, if someone finishes their key then uses it, will it delete my key with the first 3 steps done?

yep you will still lose the key, whether finished or not even started, it’ll be destroyed if you go through to the steam ogre I’m sorry to say

you can get medals of honor in there sometimes from the bags too, so probably just “one of those things”

you need to buy the recipe for the insignias from the crafting merchant, they are sold there for karma once bought, you double click them from your inventory and they will then turn up in the list of insignias you can craft.

guild level/upgrades/influence is server specific, so while it is still the same on your original server, you will have to start again on your new server

where guesting may be seen as a temporary transfer, it isn’t, it’s more complicated than that.

here is a quote from ANet about guesting that explains some about this restriction.
“Because (different from a world transfer) we are not moving your character between data centers, you may only guest on worlds in the same region as your home world. Players on North American home worlds cannot guest on European worlds or vice versa.”

this isn’t a bug, its working as intended. you can’t guest from an NA server to an EU server, or vice versa.

reasoning behind it is because the data servers are different, or something like that.

would you like a guild invite Martinoice? there might be more chance of others finding you that way, posts easily get lost here. its completely up to you though, I just wanted to make sure either way

try switching maps. I had this problem myself, moved to a different map (Lion’s Arch in this case) and the button responded after that. give it a try, can’t hurt right

this happened to me earlier, try switching maps, then clicking represent again, worked for me, hope it does for you too

applying runes (any runes) makes items soulbound, it doesn’t always say it is, but it is. there is a warning about it before you agree to apply them

Valkyrie Pearl Carver is close (power, vitality and critical damage), they’re on the trading post for about 3-4g. apart from that, I don’t think you have many options
