You’re just rambling about idiot facts ( I’m slower than others, but I should get the same rewards, so we can delete any idea of progression in this game) and when we prove you wrong, you just repeat the same false arguments we’re hearing for two years. We already prove wrong this kind of posts for countless times, and there’s still 2 or 3 per weeks, because you’re stuck in your narrowed mindset where eveything non perfectly optimal isn’t close to viable. Play with like minded people, and enjoy spending time in a dungeon, meanwhile some people will try to push their time, because that’s what their enjoy. You’re so inexperienced with the game you refer to usual mechanics as “exploits”, and you refuse to learn anything.

tl;dr: we’ll help those who seeks help, not those fighting for their playstyle to be superior.

That signet goes against the guardian concept ( active defense class, reliant on boons/ active condition removal). It’s a huge “focus me” in www and pvp, and it’s a misunderstanding of the class. Use consecrations for maximum pve support, and read the sticky Talyn posted.

I said “glitch” and “gaming the system” – I never said people couldn’t use legit game mechanics to duo/solo. If someone can stealth their way to victory, good for them.

BUT: as far as I know when players leave combat mobs are supposed to regen, so unless ANet has stated otherwise my assumption is that leaving combat and a mob not regenerating is a “glitch”, hence why I’m pretty certain that 90% of all “solos” are using glitches to bypass the expectation that they will be handled by a group.

Belka is a stationary boss with ranged attacks. What does that means? It means she’ll try to reach you, even if you’re out of combat, for a few seconds, before resetting. That’s oversight from anet’s part. Anyway, guess what? You can still regen your health by hiding yourself behind the pillars here ( and I’m sure they’re here for that one reason), and that’s how I do it outside of timed runs. They wouldn’t allow people to take a breath behind those pillars ( especially for a boss that negates ranged dps with a 25% uptime on reflects) if they didn’t want them to reset their health from time to time.

Hard mode appeals more experienced players, and experienced players are a majority of berserker users, because they understood how the game works. So no, hardmode won’t make sentinel magically useful.

Well, greatsword 5, stack them, kill them. It’s not really a huge problem. A flat room is just ugly.

All in all, you’re just jealous because there’s better players than yourself, and you expect sympathy for that. Time to understand that conditions are slow, ramp-up personal additional damage over time, and this doesn’t fit pve at all. Conditions are a solo thing, period. All group content is burst (=direct) damage.
tl;dr: buff condis over the top and it’s still not optimal in pve, and op as hell in pvp.

I usually ask for exp ( amongst other things- it usually looks like p1, berserker/assassin meta build, exp, ping gear) and let’s be honest, I’m not terribly bad. For a pug standard, at least.

5/2/2/5/0 should be your best dps spec ( I just thought 5 sec I’m probably missing something). Grab all the multipliers and don’t bother with persisting flames/ air traitline outside of BttH.

An epic team of heros enter the dungeons, ready to face their foes. Aaand 3 sec later everyone dc’s because anet servers are garbage, and there’s your restart. Yeah. It would be a nice idea if this game was playable for hours straight without anyone getting lags or dcs.

Don’t forget unscathed contender and pre stack might ( lazy way is staff 4). Depending on your race you can use a summon elite like hounds of balthazar. Keep in mind it’s not your job to do that. Use save yourselves instead of syg for the extra %damage when going 4/5/0/0/5.

So you tried your best to be a tank with vitality and toughness and you can’t even take a bunch of trash mobs on yourself, huh? Most of those mobs attacks are aoes or cleave. Chances are, you weren’t even directly targeted ( they seem to aggro whatever is closer to them when they spawn). You died because you relied on your gear. If you died by cc, bring stablity.

Full berserker and a good use of blinds and blocks is the short answer.

Water 5 against a wall/ while immob or crippled is pretty fun. Earth has a blind, and water 2/air 2+ lightning strike procs are dps gain.

No. Might on block, shouts, empowering might, strenght in numbers, staff camping, healing dodge rolls and lack of blind/vuln on blind traits however, are really easy to see.

Experienced in pugland means knowing the encounters and adapt/know the strats. You have to know both optimized strats and pug ways, though.

More hotw P2 and P3 endbosses, fun.

They were bad, tanky builds on guardian are the easiest to spot.

To be honest I can’t see why you could go on selling without extra protection, I just stopped doing it months ago. Remember, if a seller kick a buyer it’s scam, but the opposite is not, according to anet.

P/P spec are heavily reliant on initiative for their damage output; you should be able to unload at least twice between an auto attack by taking initiative related traits. Executioner is a far better trait than the life leech, especially in dungeons; it’s another 20% modifier when mobs are below 50% health.

5k is what I hit for a moderatly buffed (8-10 mights, low vuln, mob above 50%, not flanking) auto attack with daggers, to give you an idea. Dagger dps is really high, especially if 1) you can backstab 2) after 50% health via heartseeker spam.

Can’t speak for world bosses as I’m not into that and I won’t take my thief anyway, but shortbow is aoe, so it should be superior to p/p for tagging/mobility/escape.

1)You should train to flank your target anytime. Remember you have an extra 7% crit chance via flanking and possibly a 5% damage modifier via traits. Above 50%, backstab is indeed a good part of the thief dps. Below, and especially under 25%, heartseeker spam is no doubt one of the best burst dps achievable. Consistent 10k hs unbuffed on low armor bosses. Even without backstab, dagger auto attack hits hard.
2) S/P is advisable when you need the extra healing/evades/cleave, or you can’t flank and the fight is quick ( in such way you can’t heartseeker much).
3) No, you shouldn’t. Thief isn’t a good self stacking class. Use fire fields to stack might with your party.

If you do use scepter, you should still be in your party range. That said, 4/6/2/0/2 is the maximum scepter dps build, with scepter/focus scepter/torch or greatsword. When bosses won’t take all smite hits, the dps goes down rapidly, so swap to the usual build instead. The above build doesn’t use master of consecrations and absolute resolution, but most bosses with huge hitboxes doesn’t require those.

Yeah it would be on par with all the weapons giving stability, like.. well, nothing.

Many people aren’t good enough to time active defenses (which usually have quite long durations too.
Many use ping as an excuse, but with practice you can compensate for this, unless its over about 1/2-1s. In which case I would whine to my isp or get a new router.

(Anyway, yeah, that’s what tokens are for. If anything, i’d like the reward tracks of pvp to be nerfed as it’s easier to get dungeon skins by pvp than dungeoning)

Thief Sword rips boons now?

Just to clarify, people are getting hit by 12k+ rapid fire in WwW, not pvp. The stat cap is higher, and a full berserker ranger in WwW will have far more damage. For instance, I got it by a 8k+ auto attack yesterday, wich is impossible in pvp. Guide is about good, although a bit long for my little brain.

For hard to melee bosses and trashs ( for exemple, mossman, ettin, shaman, the aether trashs, etc) using an hammer build is better than the usual 4/5/0/0/5, as you give perma protection at the extent of annoying light fields and the loss of some condi removal via traits. 5/5/0/4/0 with superior aria and writ of persistence. You can go 3/3/0/4/4 if you need both hammer and condi removal. Swap can be gs for additional burst/pull/blind, or mace focus when you’re “tanking” hard bosses" (best exemple is ettin). There’s some places where gs s/f is still good.

IF you really want to enjoy your guardian, stay away from vitality and toughness. But yeah, you get the feeling.

Dungeons: Berserker armor, berserker trinkets, possibly one or two pieces of assassin to boost your critical chances. 4/5/0/0/5, sword/mace/scepter focus/ greatsword.
Fractals:5/5/0/4/0 or 3/3/0/4/4, hammer/ greatsword/ hammer mace focus, berserker/sin,

WwW pug zergs: x/x/6/6/x, hammer/gs/staff, mix of knights, ptv and berserker, shout spec.
wwW optimized zergs: x/x/x/6/6, same as the other with a focus on team support, shout spec.
Roaming: meditations, anything with 6 in valor, mostly berserker gear.

That’s the usual spec for everything, there’s obviously some changes to do depending on encounters/ your personal level. You can’t have a good build for everything.

I’m still waiting for a 5 fire staff ele speedrun with no mightstacking. Then i’ll agree with how support is irrelevant.

Dungeons are soloable by better players than you*

Longbow is better, the auto attack is stronger, and there’s far more utilities. Use rifle when you need the superior range. But to answer your question, your secondary weapon slot should be another melee set in pve. For pvp, longbow is pretty much the best warrior weapon, especially coupled with CI.

6/10, better than the other troll posts, lack raging about shadow arts, keep going.

5/5/0/4/0 is the dps hammer build. Not having writ of persistence is a huge mistake.

Juggernaut looks far better imo. But yeah, that build, it hurts my feelings.

What the guy above said. Guardian is still in its good spot. You can go without, but a good guard is great for going braindead sometimes.

unload hits for about 9-12k unbuffed I believe, been a while I didn’t use P/P. You want to aim for full berserker armor and trinkets, that’s about 50% crit chance without any buff and >72 with everything but fury and that 7% crit chance while flanking trait. EOTM is not a part of the game, and if you enjoy gw2 you shouldn’t go there, but yes, it’s fast. You can also use your old 80 character to complete dungeons and swap at the end for a bit of xp. If your plan is to make an optimal character, use D/D, S/P and sb in dungeons.

Staff ele is one of the highest dps in the game with a ranged weapon, but you have to play melee anyway ( it triggers stone splinters, and breaking melee is a bad idea, you won’t get/share buffs, may ruin the stack, and will end up getting downed far from your teammates. Nades engi is good for group dps.

2) sword is superior for raw damage. There’s some situations where you want to use gs anyway, when soloing ( because you can’t dodge reliably and gs has an extra block), max meleeing ( because you don’t want to fly everywhere) and for out of combat mobility, mainly.

Are you referring to dodge jump by any chance? The salto when you jump and dodge at the same time?
