Depends on what boss and what strategy you’re using.
There are some actual glithces, but I think they are few, and probably more harmful glitches to the players than there are beneficial ones.
There are also a lot of strategies that people don’t like so they call them glitches, when in reality it’s just strategy.
everyone stacked in a corner and autoattacked for like 10 minutes… glitch or strategy? HHmmm, i guess strategy more than glitch.. but would be nice to see cheeze strategies fixed.
About this ‘no dungeon team’? did they lay off the dungeon devs?
Which boss did you and your party members autoattacked the whole time?
I guess this bug has been buries by all of those Living Story bugs that are introducing to us on bi-weekly basis….
Not even the fact that LFG doesn’t show the whole adv is the real problem, people won’t read, they just won’t! You can as well go “P1 GUARD” and an everything-but-a-guardian will always be ready to join. Just to make an example.
As far as I saw, not even “gearcheck” will work..was in a party that required full zerk with gearcheck. Only God knows how many clerics/knight/people that won’t link gear were kicked on that day.
Some people would actually link zerker set that they prepared and wear ptv.

Atse, if zerker doesn’t require skill perhaps you can post a video showing how brainless and easy it is to melee a few of the fractal bosses at 49, like Mossman or Archdiviner. Surely, since it’s so easy, you could do that in full zerker no problem.
You already know that no matter what gear u have its a 2 shot kill , why are you asking ? 95% of the PvE content , I press number 1 and number 2 and everything is dead , much wow such skill.
In b4 " You dont even follow the right dps rotation" . Number 1 and 2 is enough to kill most of the stuff before it even attacks me.
I agree on 95% if it is in the open world, the remaining 5% is in the dungeon.
and often time it is the trash mob that gives the most problems, and timed knockdown/stability will save the party from wipe most of time too.

Oh my god what happened in this thread. Why are there still so many people trying to argue against doing their best to play as well as they can? It’s incomprehensible. The argument that it’s okay for one person to make everyone else’s time less enjoyable because they don’t want to make any effort to carry their own weight is ridiculous.
I think GW2 is the only MMO community I’ve ever seen where so many people carry the idea that playing poorly is acceptable because of the excuse that “oh it’s fun”. It’s absurd.
People that try to play as well and as efficiently as they can are going to expect others to at least try and give the same effort. They will think less of those who don’t. If you cannot accept that then please move on. You will never convert these people to the point of view where no one has to make any effort to play well.

I miss the old days without the in-game LFG tool where people have to copy and paste the name from external site. now some people are spoiled to the point that they ignore the description and wish to be carried by others.
i have no problem taking things slow when i am taking break from dungeon running (10 paths+ per day). but insist on joining my speed run group and expect us to respect your play choice is just absurd. that included some weird trait choices that gives minimal output of direct dps (conditions, full bunker etc)
Some bosses have different mechanics depending if their target is in melee range or far away. Spider Queen don’t uses the AOE poison if you are in melee range even if you are not stacked, Giganticus Lupicus don’t uses his kick if you are on range. So you can’t do GL in range because you are exploiting one of his abilities.
It seems like every single post about stacking = exploit is just because of the Spider Queen. They really want the first champion of a lvl 35 dungeon to be the most super epic fight in the game.
Except that I never said Spider Queen stacking was an exploit (way to read the post). I mentioned her as an example of what in my opinion is a poor AI design. I’m fine with bosses doing certain attacks in melee and others in range, but the discrepancy between the efficiency of the two is really something to question. I’d rather the spider use both the web and the poison attacks on both melee and ranged players.
And besides, why can’t people ask for a super epic fight, even if it’s in the first dungeon? An epic fight does not need to be hardcore hard, but challenging and/or exciting, and I’m not sure about you guys, but I definitely don’t find the current Spider Queen’s fight, with the stacking method, enjoyable at all. Plus, being the “first dungeon” is not a parameter for anything. The Cave Troll in AC is harder than a lot of bosses from higher level dungeons.
Back to my original post, I said I consider a few of the current stacking in this game as exploits, not all of them. Exploit because by just doing the mere act of stacking you are nulling one or more of the fight mechanisms/boss abilities that were intended to affect your group. Some examples: (there are probably more)
Colossus Rumble: Stacking nulls his seismic attack
SE P1 golem trio (the “new” stacking spot): Stacking nulls most of their AoEs and attacks
Volkov: Stacking nulls everything he does (that spot has been there since forever and still not fixed)
SE P3 dredge champion duo: Stacking nulls everything they do
Subject Alpha in CoE P1 and P3: Stacking nulls his Teeth of Mordremoth (earth spike thing)
Aetherblade Fractals: Stacking nulls the cannons AoE during the “clear the waves of aetherblades” encounter.
Old Tom: Not sure if the stacking trick still works, but yeah
That being said: when you stack at Spider Queen, you are not nulling an intended attack directed at your group because in theory there wasn’t even such attack, since you didn’t meet the requirements to trigger the poison AoE, so I suppose it’s not an exploit (although I strongly disagree with such design, as I’ve already stated).
More bout the stacking scenarios:
Colossus Rumble: Does not working all the time, even worse when he comes to you from other side. people stack there to avoid the falling ceiling rocks. and the conditions from the boss is what really slows down dps and potentially wipe party.
Golem Trio: are you talking about the corner after the stationary golems? Reflect and stability is needed otherwise face certain death.
Volkov: He still put tons of bleed on a player.
Alpha’s tooth move: still hits you regardless, unblockable too.
on the other day i asked for experienced daily runner in coe and there it comes a thief who couldn’t dodge/constant dying. we just left him dead most of time, there is no point of rezzing because things like dodging can only be learned from experience.
Yea we carried him through, but what about us? did he bother to read the lfg? no.
is it a viable support build for Pve? or something like 0/15/30/20/5?
Depends what you mean by viable….
I see AH as a stepping stone because you don’t need that extra healing when you are experience with the dungeon, rather put them into more dps traits to hurry things up.
(Trust me, when you are able to clear a dungeon in 20 minutes, you would not like to spend 40 minutes next time.) offense is the best defense.
Honor traits are just weak compare to others.
Why not trying both out? the AH and Meta. we can argue all day everyday, but it is you who is going to utilize it for the best of your interest.
Don’t forget your trinket/armor/weapon are also part of the build. wear knights gear when you are starting out, and slowly move to zerker until you reach that limit where you won’t be able to survive most of time.
I don’t suggest Scholar runes at all, because as the glassiest of the glass cannon out there, you will rarely keep your health above 90%.
I think it really depend on your trait setup. i use rune of ranger because i am lacking crit chances due to my setup.
You only need to keep it for about 25% of the time to get a better boost than ruby orbs. Besides, they promote better play (damage avoidance and keeping your health up). But Ranger runes are good too, the 6th bonus is bugged so you always get the 5% boost.
I think playing zerker ele in general teaches you how to avoid damage lol. further increase the difficulty won’t really teaches newbies.
when i started out with ele in dungeon i played with boon duration runes and ptv gear, eventually i exchanged ptv with ppc and other offensive runes because i know the places inside out and was able to anticipate killing moves.
When anet introduces new pve stuff i always switch back to ptv. because knowledge is 50% of the battle.

Forgive my ignorance, but doesn’t being the glassiest of the glass cannons mean that you are either at full health or dead with very little in-between?
Wouldn’t that make Scholar runes even more effective since if you are not above 90% health you would go into “Oh KITTEN!!” mode and try to heal up and thus get the 10% damage buff back right away?

Mob’s weak auto attack and condition damage will often drop your health below 90% and that is, in most zerker ele’s case, around 1k-2k hp loss. that is very difficult to maintain because are you going to waste heal and dps time or are you going to keep dpsing? i assume most zerker players are into speed runs and stacking method, believe me, you will be cleaved below 90% all the time. regardless of your trait and weapon choice.
It is also very dependent on your own skill to avoid damage/ maintain health and your group’s support. i pug alot so i know i can’t go all out and still perform top tier compares to organized groups who is able to give me aegis, condition removal etc. when needed.

Each infusion slot can grant +5 stats of the chosen infusion on top of the natural difference is stats.

My thought:
1. With stacking, you are able to res other downed players real quick because everyone is near each other. also allows better party wide support because everyone is in close proximity of each other.
2. Most melee weapon performs far better than range weapon in terms of dps.
3. Stacking doesn’t mean boss won’t hit hard, or mob won’t use control skills.
4. Let people play how they want, if they want to range, find a party that does it, if they want to speed run, let them spank bosses up close. if they want to stack, let them stack. If they want to range lupi phase 1 while stacked, let them do it. no method is wrong.

It is player’s choice to buy the gem store stone + splitter if they want to look the way they wanted all the time, it is pretty much the most purchased item on gemstore.
I understand your logic now but it is just a weak argument to convince them to make a set craftable, after all those stones are great for their revenue.
It is a quality of life for some that can afford all the crafting mats/costs upfront of course.
so people will be upset on their own choice of transmuting appearance on an exotic and have to do it again later on when they get a piece of ascended armor?
What is the different between transmuting it in one go on full set and doing it on separated pieces that you acquire every few weeks?

I was in the middle of AC P3 when one member left without word, so naturally i put up another lfg but then all of sudden me and my buddy got booted outside. i noticed my buddy is no longer in the party and i got two new members…
I suspect it is the merge party function?….when i went back in it is another new instance too.
See, although for most people this would be useful…As with the fractal update…the 1% of people who had multiple lvl 48s were punished for putting in game time.
Same would happen if they made Story mode account bound. The casuals get a bonus, and the hardcore players have more of their effort scrapped.
Can’t say for everyone else but i have multiple toons with story unlocked on no less than 3 different dungeons, and i would love it if they make it account bound.
Also keep in mind that the dungeon opener owns the instance, if that person leaves the party, everyone will be booted outside.
I am sure this has been suggested before , but since FOTM is getting a new treatment of account wide dungeon level, why can’t it also apply to the other dungeons, as in enabling alts to open explorable mode of the dungeon that has story mode unlocked on different character?
The reward for story mode could be revamped to attract more dungeon runners.
I carry my stability and stun breaker all time. It’s hard to time them, when there are so many things going on in your screen.

Put cripple on it as you lure him to the corner, have him use the leap attack by staying within about 200-300 range of it, since it is crippled, he won’t be able to leap that far to you.
And burn it down before his leap’s 30 second cd is over.
Got kitten Dc’d after 20 minutes COE run right before the reward screen….i want to be constructive but this issue is just rage inducing.
You punished the whole team for that one guardian, yes you are.
ASSUME you have a static speed run group without time restraint , do it this order: COF P1, AC P3, P1, all COE (similar length and difficulty on all path, each takes about 20 mins.), SE P1, then the rest.
COE all path will take at least an hour, so it is up to you to mix it up, sometime i just do COF 1, AC3 and one COE which i spent under an hour on.

Whenever Tequatl get burn down so fast from one battery phase to another, there is a chance that he will summon bone wall at the next Megalaser stunning phase regardless of his scale stacks, is this intentional or a bug?
I wish Anet would inform us on this, it is hard to get sufficient sample size due to the price of exotics.
I guess i will try to play around with mystic kit to see if i get the same rate as BLSK.
Since i can’t really find an answer on this so question is:
Are the salvageable inscriptions considered as “rarer” material? hence i need the Black Lion Salvage Kit to get the maximum of 50% salvage chance?
Or is it all the same just like the Ectos?
To begin with, consider doing some of the less painful dungeon path such as AC 1/3, COF 1/2, COE all path, SE p1.
Not only you are getting the guarantee golds at the end, you will also get some good T6 drops (Charge cores etc.) and rares from big boxes and champion boxes that you can sell for good amount of money.
And with the excess dungeon tokens i usually buy the cheapest exotic (210 tokens) and salvage them with the best salvaging tool, if you are lucky you will get those inscriptions that sells for a few gold (plus Ecto/Ori/Ancient)
edit: forgot to mention, only salvage exotics with stat such as soldier and dire, as their crafting inscription are not craftable and only come from salvaging, reference here http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Weaponsmith/Master_recipes)
I salvage all of the blue/greens for not only magic find lucks but also chances of T6 mat such as Orichalcum Ore or Ancient wood, those stack up fairly quickly.
If you are not tired after that, harvest Ori ores and ancient logs on all of your available toons.
Lastly, you can do the champion train farm in Frostgorge, it will be very boring though.

Disappointed on Anet’s part for not informing players on timely manner, even more disappointed on quality control.
Why is this not in the dungeon forum is beyond me.

Time: Week nights from daily reset, plays about 3-5 hours. Weekends pretty much whole afternoon before/after daily reset.
Other: I am willing to learn how to walk before run, i am patient for mistakes if others are willing to learn too.
Other Classes: Elementalist was my first toon, mostly S/D with Lightning hammer, same gear setup as my Warrior. although i don’t play much of it.
Why people think they own the champions is beyond me. however, I do not agree with mass punishment for the action of a few, so like what azazil said, the best course of action is to report said player and/or block them.
One word: Ridiculous.
I experience lag spikes everytime they introduce something new. so every two weeks i have to deal with the frustration it causes.
and of course it is my ISP that loves to mess with the server every two weeks.
I still trust in the work of Anet and I know that will fix this lag, now at dawn when I was playing 2 o’clock in the morning until 3:30 happened very little packet loss and suffered little lag in the figure here shows that Ip 64.25 .32.9 hardly lost packets at this time
I am afraid Anet have no control over servers which ncsoft paid for. and for the record they often cheapen out on those like they did with Aion…

Elementalist, D/D is so much fun and staff is very AOE friendly. (try to implement combo field finisher in your skill rotation, you’ll love it.)
Afterward, make a guardian.
Ok, you need to “disarm” the bomb mines (turn them green) and lure Canach next to them… they’ll explode and damage him, not you.
Conditions do not work on him anymore… they got patched out.
the patch didn’t completely nerf it, try to damage him with landmine and hit with your condition skills, sometime it works and just have your back to the wall and bleed him away.
My play time varies.. 8am – 1am est or 11pm- 1-2ish.. I am also 24, but not really looking for help just someone to talk too and have fun with..
