Spam filters in this game are completely uncalled for. Beyond the fact they constantly interfere with normal gameplay and non spam, they are 100% ineffective against actual spam. .
Spam filters work great for the gold sellers. No spam to little spam filters would be like gw1. Where local chat would be flooded with spammers. If you feel its bad now, you haven’t seen what flooding is capable of with no spam filters.
This just happen to us, we had one person that watched the cinema. But no WP appeared and the npc still wanted the chicken to be put in the cage. I tried running back to the npc from Lupi’s WP and it didn’t work. Tried luring enemies into the npc but they deemed her non hostile and ignored her.
What Worked
The person that watched the cinema ran back to the cage from Lupi’s WP. The spiders then killed the npc (no longer non hostile?). We ressed the npc and she walked over to the cage, started her dialog and was carrying the chicken. We were able to continue the dungeon afterwards.

Its messed up that some FA players started attacking people that bow, I guess it could have been server transfers. I would encourage looking at the guild tag and no blaming the entire server as a whole. HoD does have trolls though.
most of them transferred to FA already, and FA helped pay for it.
which is probably why chaba’s so upset … it cost them so much extra to buy our bandwagon trolls.

That’s a moot point that has little to do with pointing out that Anet not immediately removing the tournament prices after the tournament is over when the competition for transfers is highest unfairly punishes all servers affected by it.
Watching the blob fests on our off hours – I know that FA is a force but not a good one and not a happy one.
In the past I have been able to bow to someone if they didn’t attack me and move to where I was going – they going past me with a bow or comment – but not FA, not lately, and it’s sad to see even simple civility that was… gone from FA but still exhibited by some on other servers we are pitted against.
HoD has its issues but to this day its still not the troll-fest I witnessed for over a year.

Not every change is going to make everyone happy, so the object is to make the majority happy. I have a feeling that the majority of the players like the Mega servers…
Yes, it has positives as well as negatives.
This is not a bug, as part of the April 15th patch if you want to keep your stacks in water you must add the same sigil to your underwater weapon to keep your stacks. I believe this was mention int he April 15th patch notes. However, Anet may change their mind on this later.
Was there suppose to be a merchant for found belongings? Because I could not find one anywhere. There is the blade shard merchant.
Still ongoing, mesmer killed Wurm in less than 3 seconds no one got credit. But I believe the mesmer did.

I just run up the front of it and hop to the sword it takes about 10 mins. If you try the back way it takes a very long time to reach the vista.
I think they should all remain, the fact that bring out such an emotional response from players shows the players are not ignoring the npcs. In many, players ignore npcs’ voice dialogs.

Anet does not like giving dates, probably not after the GW2 schedule release several years before it actually came out.

I find underwater combat fine. People wanted flying in the game, if we had flying it would probably be similar to underwater combat. It should stay, exploring the underwater environments and seeing non-terrestrial enemies are fun imo. Anet, did remove underwater combat from sPvP its true but that’s an entirely different game mode. Having underwater and land base combat makes the game even more dynamic (combat wise) imo. For example, people that are skilled in underwater combat lure WvW players into the water because most player avoid underwater combat. Some players would even stop chasing you if you go into the water lol.
I know this is isn’t a “fix” for the bug, but it’s a “fix” for the megaserver stuff regarding world bosses that I’ve been using since the patch. Since all bosses are now on fixed times, and not spawn windows, if you show up to a world boss event about 5-10 minutes before the timer ticks off the pre events, you’re most likely going to end up in an instance that has a huge number of players. Sometimes this is good (it’s nigh impossible to take on Jormag or The Shatterer etc without a decent number of players) but sometimes it’s not, my case being that I have to turn off player models to get a decent framerate, spell/skill FX with post-processing basically turning the screen into a giant white blob of bloom (really
funterrible on Golem Mk.II if you’re attempting to melee it because it’s impossible to see the trickle of electricity FX that warn you where the electricity is going to cover the platform, and a number of other issues that occur when you have a small condensed area filled with 100+ players.If the boss’ timer to initiate the pre-events is set for 09:00, enter the map at 09:02 or something similar. It’s going to be different for every boss since the pre can sometimes be locked to a timer (Fire Elemental, Shatterer) rather than the boss spawning as soon as players finish the pre, so I’ll leave it up to you to figure out the best times.
My reason for doing this? Players are now on what I would call a fixed “rotation” where they will go from one boss to the next on every 15 minute cycle, which leaves the instances where people show up right before the timer ticks off completely full or near-full. Earlier today I decided to do the Golem boss 5 minutes after the timer for its pre went off, and was put in an instance with maybe only 10 other people. It took much longer to kill, was actually more challenging than the usual “stand here and press 1 to win” circumstances of a full instance, and I was actually able to melee it without being defeated thanks to finally being able to see the small tells of where the electricity was about to activate.
I’ve done the same with Wurm. Show up late, smaller group of players, chances of a Mes using feedback before getting in a hit has been non-existent.
It’s a bit sad that I have to do it this way, but it works. Usually. There are times I show up too late and the boss has already been defeated because the initial massive instance has already wiped it and cleared out for the next boss in the rotation. It’s not an exact science, unfortunately.
edit: I’ll also note that there are other side effects of having the megaserver with events like Tequatl where people stand around for 40 minutes to make sure they are in the largest instance, but guilds such as TTS have gotten around this by taxiing only the players they want to an instance that they can control, which I’m not sure is a good or bad thing when the instance you just sat in for 30 minutes suddenly empties 5 minutes before the event.

They are not in the same local area they live several states apart of each other. I believe there isp are for different companies as well but I’m not sure. I’ll ask them, thanks everyone. The server is running 3.0.14. They are running the latest mac version of ts3. The disconnects started happening right after the feature patch was released.

I’m posting this message for several Mac Client guildies that game disconnects whenever they use Team Speak 3. These guildies can be online for hours without disconnecting but as soon as they launch TS3 they will disconnect in 1 – 4 mins. We do not know the connection betwee TS3 and the Mac Client Beta disconnect. But this problem started right after the feature patch update. They are no longer able to use Teamspeak 3 while playing the GW2 Mac Beta client. I’m interested to know if other Mac Client users are experiencing this problem?

This game has had hardly any new permanent content for almost two years now. The devs lost their track, I guess, after the failure that living story turned out to be.
Living Story did not fail.
About Taida: People have learned that if you interrupt her at 50% HP you can skip the second phase and kill her directly. That’s why she tends to bug out at 1% when people still attack her because that’s not really where she’s supposed to die.
So it’s really not intentional.
I didn’t even know Taidha had a second phase that’s great. So hopefully if Anet stops the interrupt bug at 50% health we can actually see what she will do next. Instead of stand still and get walloped on.
A suggestion for Hydra Queen event.
Leave the pre events as is, but upon completion of the gate assault, the whole fort starts firing on the galleon. This increases the tension of the encounter and gives the impression that the pirates are making a desperate stand to sink the galleon. The “defend the galleon” requirement is still valid so that it forces players to split up to take down the cannon crews while still having to breach the fort to fight Taidha. Of course the whole time, there are swarms of veteran level and regular mobs surging out of the fort to defend it, numbers and hardiness of which scale with the number of players showing up. To make it even more interesting, have an inner gate that players have to take down by raiding explosive dumps for bombs. After taking down the inner gate, the players have to fight to the top of the inner levels to reach Taidha. Put this on a 20min timer and watch the chaos ensue. There are no hidden mechanics or sequences that need to be added in, just an extra layer of difficulty that will make it a really worthy fight. If the encounter fails, then the area surrounding the island swarms with pirates until the next assault.
For Maw, add in very high level mobs that escort the Shaman. Why a person of his importance has to fight alone is beyond me. He’s an icebrood, so add in high level veteran wolves, goliaths and ice elementals much like Claw of Jormag but with out the numbers. Grant them AOE and KD skills so it gives the impression that they’re defending the shaman. To make the encounter more interesting, give the Shaman an objective, like raising a new totem, that starts to tick when he spawns. If more than, say, 50 ppl come to fight then add in champion level mobs, with the same hard hitting abilities.
Naturally, the loot drops will need to scale with the increased difficulty of these encounters.
I think I might put together a few thoughts about how to make the boss fights more interesting instead of just 111111111111111111111111, dodge, 111111111111111111, dodge
The Taidha event sounds exciting when put that way and the maw could do with a few extra adds that don’t die in kittens.
The only world boss that had any semblance of difficulty (before the Teq remake and wurm release) was the Fire Elemental at launch.
Everything else was always a Press 1 to win. Nothing changed.
I disagree, the Fire Shaman won’t let most players stand still in a group and spam 1. Jormag either, the adds or the world boss will kill the clump players (however you can still semi stack for Jormag phase 2, if you don’t mind the very strong champions attacking you). Also, the original Taidha you couldn’t stand still and spam 1 she would kill you fast lol.

I submitted an in-game but report with a screenshot of this too. Being able to one hit kill a world boss is broken, I hope an Anet Dev sees this soon otherwise people may just start skipping the world boss wurm.

The Caledon Wurm is able to be killed in one hit if a mesmer uses feedback. People are unable to get credit on the wurm. The wurm kills itsself in less than 30 seconds after spawning.
Sounds like the original poster never played on a populated server even before the megaservers. Making the bosses a bit less zerg friendly would be welcome though.
I am on a more populated server. Where 50 – 60 people for Maw was common, not 150. But yeah, stronger bosses for stronger zergs would be nice. The holographic knights from living story was a good example of interesting zerg fights imo.
Ulgoth should do an AoE KD skill, regularly, that affects everyone inside of 600 range. Maw, give the Svanir a knockback skill that’ll toss the people meleeing into the pit behind him.
This sounds like a great idea. In regards to Taidha, running around with a massive zerg is more engaging than standing still and spamming #1 at Taidha imo.
With the megaserver Maw has became a spam fest of who can press 1 the fastest. People are not getting put in the down state at all. The Fire Elemental and Shadow Behemoth are more dangerous than the Maw.
Tadiha Convington, the Hydra Queen is no longer challenging and exciting. It was fun to have to chase her down and use kegs to damage her. Her new state is, she walks outside (for no reason) stands still and attacks. But her attacks are weak with 100 people versus her…sure she can live but she isn’t a threat. She’s been reduced to a Legendary Punching bag. Ulgoth has also been reduced to a punching bag, his mini swirling winds barely affect 100+ players.
My point being, these two World Bosses should be balance. The Maw should actually hurt players significantly. Taidha should be allowed to move around and not stand like a tree. But I"ll let you all decide, I would rather not have Taidha and the Maw become grinding events.

Yes, that is right. I’m fine with RTL not being affected by cripple; You’re nto running or sliding along the ground. You’re literally riding a bolt of lightening, I do not believe this should be change. RTL can still be hit by imbolize though, I feel the skill is balance right now. Especially since we can get a 20 CD by merely “touching” an enemy. It can even be an ambient creature and bam 20 second CD.
Eles take a long time to master, I’m still learning more on my Elementalist. Sure you can beat average players with an average playing ability. But that average skill level won’t hold a candle to the expertise players.

You’re wrong about the entire thing. Everything you said was wrong. Not entirely sure what you want to hear. Attack was never a useful stat for any reason. It is simply power + weapon damage, that’s it, and it was never used for anything.
