The reason this wouldn’t work is because some aoe circles are beneficial for the player. Like Necro wells or Guardian’s symbols, reminds me of when players would run away from people trying to heal them due to aoe confusion. Thanks though
Use darker colours ? generally I think there are fewer issues in viewing darker colours. Midnight fire and shadow abyss dyes look the same!!!!
Since, I’m not colorblind I had no idea that this was true. The aoe circles are already red, I’m not sure they can make the red darker. If they did, non color blind players would complain about the red aoe circle being hard to see. Good info though, thank you.

I learned a few players that I help are color blind. So when I’m teaching them how to do dungeon runs and I run into an issue with informing them about aoe circles. Here is an example, AC Path 2 final boss uses white AoE circles and red ones. Sometimes the red hostile aoe circles overlap with the white circles. So they found it difficult to tell what AoE circles to avoid because to them, they were both white. So two things:
1) Does anyone have experience explaining to a color blind player what circles to avoid? If so, what do you tell them?
2) For Anet, maybe making friendly aoe circles pulse slowly might be a solution? Or possibly change all red aoe circles to the orange filled circles you used for Triple Wurm?
If anyone have any suggestions to help colorblind players, please let Anet know here. Thanks everyone for your help!
Still cannot ping waypoints or point of interest in squad chat. This functionality was around since 2012. Various guild raids, missions, working with non guildies and more have used this feature to avoid spamming map or say chat (and being text blocked).
AP being a requirement isn’t a good fix imo. Anet has stated, they would rather not segregate their dungeon community and this is one of the reasons why we don’t have Hard Mode dungeons (like in GW1).
If skill points are going away, how are we going to get the items from the Mystic forge attendants? Or are those changing to require something other than skill points?
Miyani will probably want the skill point crafting material that will be released.

Well, the boss health bar is displayed in the objective tab in the middle top of the screen, however the health display seems to have some bug at the moment (in my opinion). As for most other NPCs in the world, it seems to be updated based on the player distance to the boss, which is annoying. That data should be stored and streamed to players wherever they are on the map instead of using the usual “on sight” health calculation.
I had no idea and I agree then. Knowing what the Lord’s health is at distance would be great, like in GW1. However, you couldn’t see the Kurzick NPC lord’s health from your party. I would settle for the health to always be displayed above the Lord’s head, if the party window wasn’t an option.

The hero icon is very dull, it is the same color as supply. If the icon was a brighter color, I feel it would be helpful. Even a pure white color similar to a neutral control point would be nice. Other than that, Stronghold is fun. Thank you.
After a long hard day at work, I finally got home for GUILD WARS!!! I loaded it up and I was shocked. I thought my game was glitched. I WAS PANICKING. Then I found out it was April Fool’s. I was FURIOUS!!!! I was so upset that Arenanet would screw up my game like that. I’ve invested time and $ into this game and the April Fool’s joke had me seriously considering deleting the game. I was livid. Are there really any gamers ( over 12 years old) that enjoy that nonsense? That was the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen a developer do to their game. I couldn’t even bring myself to play for 5 minutes. Wasted evening after such a hard day. THANKS (sarcasm) ARENANET FOR RUINING MY EVENING AND CAUSING MY BLOOD TO BOIL. I vote for whoever’s idea that was to be FIRED!!!!!

So what about the other story mode dungeons? It’s relatively hard to find a group for those now because people just farm explorables (hopefully SOMEONE in group has unlocked explorable..), and they’re required for some traits.

These are great but there is one point that I would like to address that may confuse new players. I understand that you have to spend points to purchase a mastery skill, like WvW points. However, it took a large amount of time to figure out that you have to earn the right to unlock the skill by gaining experience. I don’t remember reading any dialogue about this but once I figured it out….I was eventually able to jump on mushrooms.
Events

1) Pale Reavers Sniper event is fun but it seems like they did not get attack at all, side stepping some Mordrem attacks would be fun.
2) The easy version of the Wyvern fight was very engaging and fun
3) The flamethrower adventure event was ok, wasn’t exciting which is similar to heart quests. Maybe have portions of the ship exploding or have those exploding canister activate on proximity rather than interaction.
Gliding

Gliding is very easy to control with the mouse. Good job nailing flight controls down, if there was a mastery point to “Do a barrel roll” (or aileron roll) to evade enemy fire that would be epic! lol

They did but it seems like if people haven’t logged in recently, since 16th patch, they will have to do the online/offline trick once.
While most of the bugs have been sorted through so far, there’s still two things that are bothering me. The loading screen, which has been shrunk down, and the fact that the text in the bubble above player’s heads is green when talking in /say and /party.
Neither of these things were in the patch notes, so I assume they were mistakes? I guess the loading screen isn’t so bad, but the new text color is much harder to see. Can we just get clarification on whether it’s a bug or if it’s intended?
I believe its intentional to show the difference between players speaking vs npcs talking. Dark blue would probably be easier to read than bright green.
Hi, thanks. My memory is that we did run togther, opposed to one being significantly behind or ahead. Incidentally i’ve seen a split party often work fine.
While my party did waypoint after the chest, I stayed, making sure all dialogue available to be heard was iniated. Because I knew from experience how an issue can be caused at that stage. But it had no positive effect because Tzark wasn’t there, he was lying dead near the first burrow. And when i found him and rezzed him, he didn’t move. Game over.
Yeah, if he is dead and that dialogue activates the path will bug as far as I know.
Thought I’d relog and check to see if /g if fixed, it isn’t. :’( I miss my /g chat sessions!

Wow after almost a week of silence, now finally someone had mercy with us. Haven’t played for almost a week now and I’m pretty mad -.- (Btw 2 lines about the real issue and 10 or so lines about multiple threads?!) This problem should have been addressed 3+ days ago.
Even when someone responds you still criticize. Why not giving credit for what they’ve done? A lot of problems have occurred and they fixed a ton of them within a reasonable time. It doesn’t help that there were multiple posts on the same issue.
Except I wasn’t previously signed up for any newsletters from ncsoft, and I’m having the same issue. That’s not the cause.
I’ve gone through their steps for if you’re having problems getting email from them, and nada. And I’m not about to assume that I’m signed up without the confirmation, particularly when I wasn’t before.
I don’t think everyone is getting into the beta, the newsletter is a “chance” to get in.
The guy likes to bug out in the large hall with the graveling burrows.
Our party destroyed the burrows, Grast did his dialogue butt there is no Tzark. I run back and see died in the hall. I rez him and he stays on the spot rather than moving towards the chest at end. He never started his dialogue to blast kitten through the wall. We didn’t do anything wrong to make this occur. The result was we couldn’t reach the final boss and complete the dungeon.
I’ve seen this happen more than once now. The chance of it bugging out is now turning into part of the decision of whether to run AC p3. And that shouldn’t be the case.
I found, if everyone runs together the npc doesn’t die and when all 3 burrows are destroyed..wait for the dialogue by the chest spawn before way pointing. I haven’t seen him bug in over 6 months, once I learned of this solution.
Boost enchantment powder links to black lion trading post when opened, instead of showing UI letting you pick booster.
Its working fine for me, make sure you have enough boosters to use the enchantment powder in your inventory.

Hi, I changed my screen resolution while in game and the screen goes black since. Any way of resetting without going into the game? Right now when I start game I can hear sound but no screen. Plz help
When the game starts press alt+enter key. That should force it to window mode or viceversa.

Can no longer ping waypoints in squad chat either.
Any message that has a waypoint in it will not send in squad chat. If you try to just ping the waypoint, it will not appear in squad chat either. We’re using guild and party chat for the time being. We lost the ability to ping waypoints during the patches of this week.
Ive had that issue on random players. only seems to happen occasionally. and no one can revive them
Those players are normally lagging, the ones you can’t revive. Just ask them to WP.

For engineers with Weapon Kits, you can see your backpack in First Person view.
We’re currently investigating a fix for this issue, but in the meantime players can fix this stacking issue by doing the following:
1) Move the “Account Bound on Acquire” items from your bank into your inventory.
2) With the items in your inventory, either log out of the game or change maps.
3) Once you log back in, or once you complete your map change, you will find that your items are now “Account Bound” and that they now will be stackable.Thank you for your patience with using this work-around until we are able to properly fix this issue.

Guild Upgrades only allow us to queue one upgrade at a time instead of two.

The bug has been fixed for me since the patch about 1 – 2 hours ago.
Yup, portal stone is crashing for me too.
Since the patch update on 3/16 guild chat is not working consistently for a number of guilds. The guild chat seems to stop working when players initially login, or change characters, or change chat tabs.
These are temporary workarounds our guild found:
1) Change your status to invisible then online. Y key, (friends list) click green square, and then invisible.
2) Stop representing your guild then click represent again.
3) If the above doesn’t work try restarting your game.

It’s pretty obvious you’ve never used a scythe. Sorry, a scythe using the GS animations would look terrible.

Oh the Arcane outfit, I guess it does kinda look like a Dervish but the hood is really long XD. Executioner outfit looks closer to a dervish to me. Still, that’s a great idea.
A warrior feels like a Dervish when played with Axe/Axe + Greatsword (weapon swap with` key).
The skills [Cyclone Axe] [Whirlwind Attack] [Hundred Blades] [Arcing Slice] and [Whirling Axe] have a scythe-like animation.Use “cloth” heavy armor — Arah, Draconic, Twilight Arbor, or Honor of the Waves.
Then you have the human elites with grenth and melandru avatars, and the hounds of balthazar.
It should come out pretty dervish-y, I think! Aaaannnd now I feel like making this character. grumble grumble got to buy a new character slot
Good idea, I’m deciding between making a Warrior or Revenant for a Dervish like profession. We still don’t know what the Warrior specialization is yet.
People still want the melee scythe a Dervish has for GW1. So why not, make a Great Sword that has a scythe skin Anet?
That way you won’t have to reinvent the wheel hehe.
Revenant is the new Dervish replacement. They even use Melee staffs. Staffs in GW2 is the Scythe weapon. Note the skins in the game for staffs…

Allow individual applications of conditions per player on mobs.
Change the way low value conditions work against enemy NPC’s. eg. Confusion and Torment.

Conditions are becoming way more viable, look at SW and upcoming HoT Expansion. Confusion damage got a buff in January as well.

A little sad about the LFG not showing blocked people though. Could have turned it off for the dungeon.And not upset, just tired, which tends to happen if you constantly see negativity around you? Atleast I like to think that’s a normal human reaction. And it’s not just pvp, but wvw, dungeons and map chats at bosses. Expect maybe dungeons, I personally kinda like LFG rage folks. P:
I would rather not see LFG ads of anyone I blocked, I don’t want to associate with someone I blocked. That includes teaming up with them in a group, so I’m glad we cannot see blocked people’s advertisements.
I still have hopes we’ll get staves usable for melee (druid, maybe?) just like the revenant uses the hammer as a ranged weapon.
