guard will be crowd pleaser as an example said one

mesmer sounds pretty cool so lets wait
swoop bug was almost a feature, but i knew it would come after i watched eurantiens streams as he used it quite often

chill is a strong condition
it makes u kittening slow, its hard to escape, and it controls cd, which is very useful, especially against downed foes because it slows down the 3rd attack really hard
and imo applying chill to a guardian is almost hardcounter for me because they are so immobile and have a hard time when kiting
to sy its weak just means u a) cant apply it good or b) u never have a big amount of chill on u
omg yes somehow a haircolour that sylvari can use to play as a blonde
we have just one yellow and it looks awful
pvp will be an option as it is now for current legendarys
u dont need to do a certain dungeon for the gift or try to craft a single clover
of course it will slow but still faster than not having the tracks as a pvpler
i had that problem with my wolf too
but in pvp with no transformation
its pretty annoying and always in combat so i cant reproduce the problem easy for the devs

An entire new pvp feature? i would be happy for a new pvp lobby map…
currently i play owl/wolf and i see it frequently that i swap pets in fight and my pet is dead. at first i thought it is because it got bursted in that second, but that isnt true. It is most times the wolf which is dead.
I hope others can report that too, its annoying and it cost me some duels today
i wonder if it is even possible to compare the tooltips because we dont know the amulett in stream and your stats
so in my eyes the whole comparison is absolutely useless
u could also compare a knight skilled ranger GS with a zerker warrior GS
u can, but it makes no sense because u cant compare base dmg
wait until next beta when u can see the tooltips with known stats

first off, anet should rather overhaul less used pets rather than implementing new ones

However, i dont even think anet would allow us to control a second attack of our pets. when this happens the next will cry we want the third one too.
I just want a small window that shows us the attack chain of our pet. Anet made small icons for each pet attack in our pet menu
completely useless by now.
But with a small window they can use it, so we can see which skill is next.
We can time our attacks with them like it should be as partners. That provides better interacting and the RNG feeling is weaker as it used to be.
Thats my biggest wish in concern of our pets.
Another one is a 3rd main hand like mace, but thats another topic
i have the feeling sometimes the roots doesnt trigger well, i got few times since patch that they should hit and no vines come out
and no, no blind or condi immunity
So yeah. I’ve played around with 6/6/6/0/0, 6/0/6/6/0, 0/6/6/6/0, 0/6/6/0/6, 0/0/6/6/6, and 6/0/6/0/6 and out of those, my favorites have been 6/0/6/6/0, 6/0/6/0/6, 0/6/6/6/0, and 0/0/6/6/6, respectively taking into account the order of the traitlines in the old system.

Skirmishing:
- Primal Reflexes, vigor got nerfed from 100% > 50% endurance regeneration rate, 8 sec CD, 5s duration. This trait only works if you successfully evade.
– seems like dodging is hard work for you, when you cant see that it is still a good trait.
- Strider’s Defense, that is way to much RNG to actually perform the projectile blow.
– it was never used because the other two GM (Trap GM and MoC) were superior, now it will be used because it is the sword cd trait. add +5% dmg instead of the prior planned 10% for the GM version of it and will be a nice trait.
- Most Dangerous Game, GRANDMASTER, you get 1 stack of might per sec, if you drop below 50%, how is this useful When you have to care to survive ? And grandmaster rune?
-* idk what you mean with GM rune, when u mean that that could be the (6) effect of a rune it would be quite strong, more for other classes, but outside of Powerranger and Trapper (forget trap runes) we have good survivability to have an effect of that trait, we will see today*
Wilderness Survival:
- Soften the Fall, 50% less dmg on fall. Why is this in game? every class should have one, atleast for PvE
- Poison Master, not strong enough for Grandmaster compared to the far superior GM in same line. Even when PM gets merged with refined toxins, no matter what trait will come instead of PM, it will be rarely used because we are forced to take EB or WKNatural magic:
- Invigorating Bond, your pet heals allies in area around them, 20s CD. How does that even trigger RNG? No activation? Needs further look.. How is this Grandmaster trait?
PET: I’ve healed, ups, u werent in range? Try again in 20s, but i wont tell you when i do it:3 they heal when activating F2 attackThere is so many good stuff out there that could replace this stuff easily:
- throwable traps
- traps that spawn 300 range in front of you defak no.
- Grand master: “Dou*B*le edged knife”: passive: for every 8% of HP that you drop, you get 1 stack of might, you lose same amount on recovery:
92% = 1 might stacks
84% = 2 might stacks
76% = 3 might stacks
68% = 4 might stacks
60% = 5 might stacks
52% = 6 might stacks
44% = 7 might stacks
36% = 8 might stacks
28% = 9 might stacks
20% = 10 might stacks
12% = 11 might stacks
4% = 12 might stacks
– PSSSSTTTT ranger will not get this too stronk stuff, but devs could read it and add it to other classes!- Invigoration Bond: When ever you use healing skill, your pet heals your allies for X% in range of X. – 1K heal afaik on f2, maybe more now cause stat increase and such
- Primal Reflex: Vigor is nerfed now because other classes abused it, so basically what i would change now is, that you need to be rewarded more because of vigor nerf, and reflex should mean if you let me evade your skill, i’ll punish you: When you successfully evade, you gain 5 sec of vigor and your next auto attack has +20% chance to crit. – pffff if that makes a different?
- Strider’s Defense: To much rng, this skill doesn’t even work as intended because almost never in my life i was able to destroy the projectile with that, we either need 100% on that, or make it rise the destroy chance 50% >100% upon auto attack. People don’t realize how hard it is to actually block projectile. And Doing it in PvP/WvW it’s not even worth taking this trait, because you would either dodge then eat the damage, if you want to make this trait work, i see two options:
a) On melee auto attack you transfer damage from projectile to your pet. Your sword skills recharge 20% faster.
b) On melee auto attack you have chance to block projectile with 50% chance. If you get struct your chance rises for 25%. Your Sword skills recharge 20% faster.Strider needs more reactive chance, less RNG.
—- i think rangers already hate the concept of killing their own pets.

activate trap (0.5s), wait 0,5s, effect
so yes it sucks that our only “fast” heal is gone and all 3 used heals have 1s cast time, but it will never be useless. HS is in team support and utility still strong, even stronger because the regen will last longer with traits. What i will miss is the aoe vigor and healing spring. i wish they could add it in a trait, but hey? maybe the druid will get it, it would fit

maybe they dont allow it for all “new” stats from giver to sinister, because giver never had one and the others have seperated recipes

thief has enough stealth and rarely use any trap
Dragonhunter will used in first weeks very often, they set a trap, get stealth and can burst u out of it. it doesnt matter if its hammer, GS or true shot burst, it will hurt at start.
Burst out of stealth is hard to play against sometimes, but what guards lacks is mobility.
They could use it as their first disengage, but which guardian would sacrifice a good rune for a condi rune? That would just be a gimmicky condi trap guard that cant do well in pvp.
And Rangers can play well with it, but sevans mentioned it already, in conquest u cant use the stealth well. But the superspeed may be very useful to play far point assaulter.
I see Pros and Cons for it. At least idc, when its up okay, when not okay too.
Whirling Defense

cast time is good when u see it as a defensive skill and not as an weak offensive skill
This might be useful in PvE, but having long cast time and locking you in place will get you killed in PvP.
Nade Spammers and LB Rangers are only real classes you will counter using #5 other then that just makes you sitting duck for melee burst.
u can still interrupt the skill when ur foe comes to close or changes weapons and keep as a bonus a small useful uptime of reta.
i like to use #5 against wars, i activate it in that second they switch to bow, the only thing they can do now is fire field or shoot themselfes
when u time it right u wont get killed, some ranger need to learn that when they see a skill off cd, u dont need to press it

i think it could be worthy when the fero buff would apply to axe OH, rather than mainhand, the CD is noticed again (atleast for OH) and maybe another effect, like idk +1s might on AA or stuff.

i always thought because of “the very good spot right now” of the guard and the whole design of “u just support ur dudes” they forget that guard sometimes need to play solo too and rarely had cool new stuff for guards. And why should they in their eyes? They always say they are balanced, they never had a reason to design cool new stuff for them, while other classes got sick stuff and made them meta classes again.
Since months i see that guards are rarely seen in pvp, when we compare it to old standards. I say snoow is right, i just see mediguards and bunker guards. Bunker got obselete since ele and engi can do that pretty well and other power classes can do their job better. That two builds are still good, but not needed in Tpvp.
I wish guards gets some love now, and i think a disengage port would not hurt the guard design
its not like a “oh schaize”-button, more a “bye bye my rivals, my friends need me there, not here”
2) i dislike the radus with the way the new spirits work
it seems like u have two options:
a) u place the spirits outside ur fight point (probably pvp points because fighting offpoint is just kitten with chilling spirits) so that u gain the passives but not the actives
b) u place then on node, they get killed fast, u gain a bit passive and when it works bad not even active.
rezzing and safe stomping is now harder than before. id like to see that the real NV is part of the new one. they activate active when they die. They die when we activate and they activate when they die. seems valid to gain all effects
9) so first its a activation nerf as expected.
second, so we can trigger our own trap. Does that mean we get our heal only then or do we get splitted heal like DH´s heal? how much heal do the allies get? only the regen?
1. why are traps not placable anymore? (imo a nerf to a fun build to play, unneccessary nerf)
2. which radius do have spirit actives? do they stay the same (when yes, how do you think any player with brain would walk into that radius?)
3. Axe offhand, where is CD reduction and radius increase? (just because less ranger play it, doesnt mean we dont need it)
4. what are 5% condi duration (LOYF) on their own in this game? (+5% condi dmg would be a bit better)
5. Why are the only two options of condi removal in the ame place? (i hope druid gets another option)
6. which boon each spirit gets? (1s boon every 3s. i hope dat boons are worth it, like stability, aegis, resist,..)
7. Allies Aid : has an ICD?
8. Hones Axes: why only Fero buff when we use it MH, why not in OH too? (its honed axeS!)
9. Pls give a description of how healing spring works. I see that everyone wished it, but i see that we will get a lot of trouble to heal ourselfs with that change.
10. heal as one, troll unguent got a category? guardian shelter did not for example, they could need a buff now coz of that change to HS
11, does quick draw effect AA?
that are my questions i have, i hope anet can answer them next time

i suggested one time adding it to muddy terrain (footsteps in mud and such)
but spike trap on evade would be funny but strong, maybe with reasonable icd and it works
maybe they tell us about spirit change today in balance stream
i hope they can tell us their plans for buffing spirits in exchange for their mobility
i think anet doesnt like the idea of boon/condi duration stacking
Maybe you remember the last rune update
In PvP u were only able to choose one rune instead of 6 to prevent stacking (2) effects of boon runes.
In PvE u can still choose 6 runes, but the (2) effects were nerfed and moved a bit at later effects.
Another evidence is that they still have no ascended giver stats. Both use duration and i think they will keep it.
With the latest change to traitlines they made it that the last 30% will go away, except they added some traits to add them otherwise (lingering magic for ranger as an example).
To conclude, i understand why some people sugget it, but anet will not add such stuff again.
But i like ur names of gear types. Anet needs some names for coming stat combos, maybe they consider yours
Why did anet decide to expand the races in gw2 if all they are going to do is release human themed skins?
They don’t. They have produced multiple outfits that are not just human culture themed.
It`s just that Humans are the standard “measurement” for creating new armors/outfits. so it`s easier to design them for humans in the first place.There are outfits that have special models for all the races. such at the Cook outfit where every race has their own unique outfit for it.
and more important, everyone was asking for this in “what we want in gemstore” threads – the regalia of the gods
what annoys me on porting is, that it got a nerfin a late patc, which never happened
or in other words, i thought anet changed ports so, that u dont port, if there isnt a valid path
But why are Mes, thiefs, ele and guards still able to port for example in midpoint in niflhel to the upper field? Or in Khylo from the side of the tower up to the wooden bridge?
Others need to run seconds or up to a minute to get there and with a port in a second
that should not work when anet says it shouldnt work.

another one mentioned that the crafting of the legendary itself will feel more like a hunt
so two different opinions
it could mean, that for old legendarys nothing changes, but for the new ones.
i think, what is just speculation, that we get a new gift of exploration for HoT maps, because it sounds it needs much more effort to complete a map, than before (we need mastery points to be able to reach some PoI and so on)
And it could be that the weapons specific gifts use new materials wie just see as a ? in beta tests
for samurai theme a offhand sword would fit better
everything what the rev currently does not have
could come with
1) other weapons
2) the utility slots
3) other legends
4) the last traitline
5) the elite spec
it is the pure combo that a class shines so bright compared to others without knowing the last half of the class
personally i see here the full power of big K´s balancing
after he moved from core balancing aka warrior OPing to rev design, he put everything incredible strong he couldnt use for his classes to his new main class – the rev.
anet made a full healer class with one legend, one traitline and one weapon
The whole role of the guard is halfway negated, i think he will work halfway as a boon machine to fill the small holes the Rev has
There are two missing trait lines and the Rev has a stronger Bunker potential with Jalis and Ventari line than guard
Why should a pvp team use a guard over a Rev, right now the guards seem to move out of the meta. And i think Snoow is right, after that guard only has offguard builds, which will work i think, but against the sick stuff others will get (cough…chrono stronk) guards will really evolve to a side class like ranger was before the pewpew update.
premades should go to ranked
the most solo q player go to unranked and think its quite honorless to play as organized teams against PUGs

the power of direct communication is strong
and try to tell ur PUG team while fighting that player X goes to place Y in a time, which is enough to react
i think i read that the tracks we´llget, will give us next to our skills and our unique specialisation skins, new runes
it could be that revs will gain a usefull rune in that way
other classes too
i bet guards will be able to unlock a new trap rune, mes new well rune and so on
i just hope they will be playable for all classes with such skills

i think ranger needs more important a new Mainhand
for me a mace as control weapon would be perfect
Axe and Sword are a bit condi and a bit dmg at the same time, both are useful in other situations but cant fill the role of a control weapon
A bit vuln, a weak daze, maybe a boon rip and it would offer new ways to play
thats my biggest wish for ranger currently
and druids are not really known for killing people with a staff
but fighting like gandalf would be fun
