i mean an explo every 6s or even less is really strong. just less skills with explo finisher has such a low cd. otherwise then we can see the shortbow thief..
it would has a nice Effect for wvw ranger. stacking might and heal in fights is important and su h a low cd qould make ranger more useful
what i personally really hope is that we will be able to craft a set of legendary trinkets.
We craft a Box like the Satchels with the 5 components and we will be able to choose from each trinket the stat combination we want. Never again full bags with diverse trinkets for different builds, that would be awesome.
Could be Special for each race:
Jewels of Queen Jennah
Flowers of the Pale Tree
Crystals of the Council
Badges of the Legions
Emblems of the Spirits
But something like that would be cool
i see that most dont like poison master
what would make it interesting if poison have lesser impact on

seems that less People noticed but the shortbow Auto got a fix.
Before patch we applied bleed not just from behind or the side, it was a bug that was in fact really helpful.
Now it is fixed and the effect is bigger then expected, max. 4 stacks i could apply in testings. Pretty underwhelming when we compare to our dmg before 15/4.
Even its a fix, its a big dmg nerf for shortbow and is now a bit underwhelming imo.
i would suggest to Change the AA a bit. what about apply 1 stack bleed every…3 hits?
As a condi/soft CC weapon the SB Needs more bleed then it now applies
for new skills we can wait peobably ages

in ranger cdi it was already suggested
for example winters bite steals two boons on hit
that is too good on 10s cd for a already great attack.
via traits is currently not possible, that would be a too big change
i think via a skill it is much more possible.

Little question
Could we see the really rich People ingame, probably all Traders, as an important tool to take Money out of community? i mean the most just Play the TP to Play the TP, its their endgame. They Need to have so much Gold, that they cant even use all of them, just when they Change the Gold to gems for Special gem store items.
Just imagine what would happen if all rich People throw all Gold they have to the market. i think that could be a bigger problem
After wardrobe a new gem item to unlock one Skin would be really helpful for some People.
The restrictions should be Cultural armor, legendarys, Gem store Armors and Living Story stuff and other expensive Skins like infinite light or Mjolnir.
I have a friend who only Plays PvP and searches for a cool scepter, but the only one he likes is the ascended scepter with Heal stats. He can never get this Skin because he has no interest on Pve and crafting.
With such an item it would came true.

but before the new trait is tested and u can see how the new dmg works, it is not useful to argue ia useless trait. its not bad, it just has two traits which are really good in same place.
in wvw i never worked with eb, since begiining i play my QoL build around LB/A/H and can still survive long and kill people
the ranger can easy apply perma poison. but with the new trait its way easier to apply perma poison and choose for example torch instead of dagger or eagle instead of spider.
personally i will have fun with testing the new traits and builds
How about Toughness/vitality/healing power? Possibly in other order for maximum tankyness.

Most roamers use condition builds, I ran into staff mesmers, rabid warriors and condimancers all to often, Most rangers I meet are shortbow, axe/torch, not GS & longbow… All focus on conditions becasue its a good way to kill ppl with 2300 toughness.
DOT/condition is part of the game of course, but the combination of highest armor and so much dmg over time is horrible.
Look pls at the strongest metas in history of gw2. Beastmaster, PU condi mesmer, Condi War, condi decap Engi, Spirit ranger and so on. Tankiness meets condition dmg thats too much. Of course everyone has condi cleanings, but after a while we all used them because someone with over 2300 armor isnt easy to kill in maybe 30s?
And good Player dont spam the conditions, NO, they apply some that the foe Needs to clean them, then again some condis that they use the second clean if ist needed and then they apply everything they have and the foe have big Problems.
And ist not a good way to kill People, ists an EASY way to kill People. People who can Play Berserker and survive longer then some tanks are good Player because they know how to fight and avoid dmg. Condi bunker just run around apply conditions and can handle mistakes because after a burst they still have enough HP to survive and apply the last conditions. Of course not all, i know great pvp Player who can

Also, between Apothecary and Settler’s, I personally would like to see one of those revamped for Condition damage as the major stat, as both sets share the same three attributes, with one of Healing Power as the major and the other as Toughness. Both of these have the defensive stat as the major and there’s nothing with the Offensive major. I’d rather see one of them revamped rather than add a third set, because it’s probably overkill having three sets with the same three attributes. Same reason I don’t think we need a set of Fero(Major)/Power/Precision.
To get a stronger variant of dire? No, that would be a new way of playing condi tank, that would not be in favor of Balance. Settler and Apoth. are okay now
Let’s think of the following main ferocity combo:

What could this set offer, that Zealot’s already can’t?
P.S. Zealot’s Amulet should exist in pvp. Could be really great for earth/ water elementalists.

3 Healing Power (Cleric, Apothecary, Magi) and
3 Special Combos ( Celestial, Givers)
When we look at it i think we could Need additional Stats for Vitality and Precision.
My ideas:
Vita, Precision, Power/Fero
Precision, Toughness,, Condi dmg (rabid with Pr as main)
And yes a stat Combo like Cavalier with Power as main would be nice, its already ingame with the PvP Valkyrie Amulett.
Other minds:
Ferocity should stay, just like Crit dmg actually, as secondary stat, i dont think a combination with Fero as main could work.
Please no stat combinations with X; Vitality, Healing Power.
That combination is awful in my opinion, they work against the other stat.
Healing Power is good for gaining a good percentage of HP back, but it Triggers in average 1:1 on our healskills. Vitality Triggers 1:10 on our health pool. So its a strange Investment of stats. So Shaman and Magi are less used, i think, i know less builds with Shaman and absolute Zero builds with Magi.
PS: it would be really interesting to hear from Izzy, or the Balance Team, or maybe John Smith, which Stat combo´s are the most less played in game, maybe on a Chart?
will interrupts caused by pets like ranger pets, phantasms, necro minions and spirit weapons trigger interrupt effects?
it merging piercing arrows or eagle eye with read the wind as GM would make interesting.
flying longer or harder that they pierce the foe would still make sense.
so LB builds would get stronger and the problem with “which traits should i use” is lowered.
Ascended will come at some point in the future. In the meantime, I logged on for about 20 minutes over the weekend and made over 100 gold from this dead profession.

what i could imagine is what i suggested
infusions with boon duration. we have no ascended giver stats. so this solution is not impossible. we will see it.neverthess a hard hit for users of this builds
I dont see any people who noticed that boon Duration builds are killed after patch.
For now we could create a build with 30 in NM and 2 runes of the sets of Water, Traveler and Monk for additional 45%.
Now thats impossible, we cant get over 15% via runes.
I know boon Duration is strong but while they buff condition Duration runes that boon Duration build is nerfed a bit too much. 25-30% would be more okay i think for water and Monk. For traveler we Need to the changes there.
What do u think? Maybe im a bit prejudiced because i wanted to create such a build for wvw scouting and dolyak escorting (28,5s swiftness on 28s cd )
the philosophy of anets balancing is test it before the Player can test it.
For that u CANT expect that the CDI has in that short time direct Impact to this Balancing

Markmanship has too many good traits for a longbow build.
The new elite could be used in a later Balance patch to get merged with piercing arrows, what do u think? i think it would make sence, i meam imagine rapid fire double so fast, that would feel like the rangers shoots with an AK 47 on foe, why should the arrows not pierce them?
Then we just have to choose between eagle eye and spotter. Could be an Option who ranger who dont want to Play signet.
Power block Needs a CD, i mean this trait was already strong in GW1 and just imagine the mesmer Interrupts ur heal? you. have. big. Problems.

Ele, immune to crits in a attunement that is NO threat means nothing. Blind on burning, on a 5 second cool down inside a terrible traitline a terrible Air trait, average water trait that wont be taken by most and a arcana trait that is rather meh itself.
People see “immune to crits” and ignore the fact you have to be in an attunement that is no threat to anyone….
Its just that its like “oh i get dmg, i Switch to earth and relax some seconds before my heal is ready” While they could have perma regen with the water trait line, thats like weakness on foe while attuned to earth

EB is still too dominating and what i could imagine is a new build, lets call them survival ranger…or Darwin Ranger, who go 10/0/30/30/0 (with keen edge, reduced cd on survival skills, EB and the new GM trait) and we have a new bunker with good dmg Output cause of fury and conditions. which stats? dont know maybe carrion, rabid, maybe we can try valkyrie for crit dmg (24% crit Chance)

in zergs dire is a good choice. when roam in wvw i think dire is just cheesemode. u get no dmg and do a lot of dmg with ur conditions.
so for roaming rabid is a good choice. ranger have good survivability in general plus the toughness of rabid. then u do okay direct dmg with precision and good passiv dmg with conditions.
regarding the pets. yes spiders are good but stacking poison so much is too much
every class can cleanse in some way conditions. one skill and all ur poison is away? i forgot the english name of the spider which gives weakness but thats the best spider imo. really annoying perma weakness for foe.
on tank build birds and stalker are really strong but in zerg fights faster dead than they can channel their attacks
i hate terrormancer its really difficult to deal with them for me no matter which build.
use the adept trait against the first fear and try to avoid the attacks
but as a ranger newbie its okay to run first with dire and when u get better u can try rabid or the interesting mix of prysin.
probably one new trait will cure conditions in some way because i think one dev said something in that direction that we will get new ways of condi cleaning to get out of EB.
but msybe we will see that in our old traits that will be modified

first this is a thread about ranger not about engis.
i did not write that ranger is the only class who has that problem. its just uncool too have too many traits for one weapon. my opinion and nothing more.

i have not the feeling that this gm is needed. the arrow is fast enough and the problem that projectiles are easy to evade are a general problem. just look at guard scepter AA its very easy to evade with moving side by side.
all in all this gm is okay. nice trait and maybe too fast imo but other traits in this line are better to choose.spotter for teamplay. piercing arrows for “cleaving” in wvw or anti minion builds and SotBM for pvp/zerg rushing. eagle eye in general but i like this trait since headstart ao its my opinion.

I would really like too see biweekly or maybe every four weeks a Balance update.
But for that anet Needs one or two more balancer!
There are only two men working on hundreds of traits and skills. and with the tempo on balancing stuff we can see they are very busy.
And my personal opinion is that we Need more balancer because i have the Feeling that the two guys love their Warrior too much. I am refering to every stream we can see them and how they Party when they hear “warrior”. And we can see where the warrior stands now. Both main Warrior, i think for balancing thats not good, intended or unintended as mon said Wars became gods of the Arena.
More Balancer are able to have more different views on Balance without the Little Intention to stay strong on their main.
And i really want to know how active the Alpha Forum is. Some People may dont know it but there is another Forum just for devs and Special Players who were invited.
I dont know much about them, but i can imagine that ist not really active anymore because a lot of Player since headstart lost the interest in gw2, no matter for which reasons. The Point is that anet Needs more intelligent Players who have a big knowledge of the game, the Balance and the classes. The Intention that the whole playerbase can talk about the Balance is great. Even science uses now the intelligence of big Groups, but not all Players who write here in Forum are good enough to have a loud voice on Balance.
Anet is great in having contact to their Players. Look at the latest stream where Players are fighting against devs. I think these Players, all in all high ranked Team/Solo Q Player, known and famous WvW commanders and active Forum writers with excellent arguments on balancing, all who have great knowledge of the classes and the Impacts of ideas should be able to have louder voices on Balance.
And i think the next Balance patch will be a second “dhuumfire/Aetherblades Patch”
When i read something like “great stuff is coming for thiefs” for a already strong class that -driving away damage dealers- and “ranger too” after a lot of big QQ in Forum about l2p issues and “Little suggestions” that would make the class too strong AND “#elepocalypse” for an also good class (best glascannon dmg, outsustaining megabunker) i just can predict a new state of imbalance.
And yes i have the fear like Mon that the rune and sigil rework will kill the Balance. Anet can test hours and weeks, no MONTHS (i predicted last summer that a rework will happen after one post of a dev), we will see an exploit of a runeset, or trait/skill/rune combination that will be incredible strong.
Alone for that anet should Need a new balancer just for the runes and sigils.
Without that the two guys dont know where to begin to “rebalance”
I really hope the next balancing will Balance the game but i think ist just a lesson for anet. But after that they will think about ur post and try to fix Balance issues faster.
The current issue with eles is that they are at the extremes. They can no longer play an all around type role. Their main options:
Spec 1. They have a virtually unkillable build in 1v1. At the same time, they do not put out any damage.
Spec 2. A GC ele has the highest burst in the game. If they go down that route, they also die quickly.The issue is there is no viable spec anywhere in the middle.
mmh that is balance? bunker have to bunker. if they do good dmg that be op. i mean u cant kill them and they kill u in longer fights?
and glascannon builds do great dmg but die fast. ele do with fresh air builds one of the highest dmg ingame. so why the hell should they not die as fast as other GC builds?
when i read “elepocalypse” we can expect a new level of unbalance in guild wars.
why? when anet decides to buff a class they buff it to hallelujah. look at warrior and necromancer (not anymore so op).
i predict dmg just slightly less then fresh air gc’s but good defense with easy possibility to outheal all dmg they get.

what could be helpful are simple sentences that we can use in Chat WITHOUT writing
we have no time fo write while we see two foes are running to u.
Maybe we have some prepared sentences like “save Close” “go Far” “stop far” or Special ones for maps like “rush Lord” “get Meditation”.
maybe Buttons over the mini map and we just Need to double klick them.

Ha, logged in this morning to find out it was actually rank 15 that I got last night.
Believe it was…. 4-2 solo arenas and 3-2 team. The games all kind of blurred together =\
Except for that one 4v5 solo that turned into a 3v5 halfway through. I remember that one quite well! ):< (btw I have brought this up with the team recently – will post about it next week)
while u do this try to ask why rank 9 newbies Play in solo q with Player over rank 40 and ruin the game for their Team.
when we get Players with our ranks instead of nubs who just farm a bit glory…that´d be great!

and i think about Music was already a stream? the Music of scarlet or Marionette battle and the Music of Tower of the mad king are really cool!
In next time we will be able to wear our pve armor in pvp and vice versa.
But what is with gemstore Skins? Or Event Skins like Dragon bash or all the Back Skins?
For example i bought magitech last week, can i transform it to Pvp and use it in some month after update for PvE?

yes its really clever to compare ranger with warrior over and over and over and over….
alone the mind to compare totally different classes is not useful and makes no sense.
Warrior has another game design then ranger. deal with it.
and before u start again with ur minds on pet (QQ 30%, QQ they dont hit, QQ ranger is weak because i never won a 1v1…err we loose 30% of our damage) yes we know it, its an issue since headstart, but instead of crying around and hope that a Balance patch makes ranger OP too feel strong first time, some ranger learned their class and their pet mechanic. from this People u should learn instead of believing ranger class is the weakest class ingame.

i like the idea from fake patch notes with eagle eye but that would be make power ranger probably op without changes. lesser proc, lesser might duration or a little icd would make it more balanced. but just in pvp/wvw. i think its not important for pve. maybe then rangers do enough dmg for dungeon farmer.
i didnt noticed that the effect of honed axes changed more then the idea with cripple.
in combination with ur dmg buff on mainhand axe it would feel like i through a big hammer on foe. could be too strong. it should be more in line with other weapon bonuses (5/7%)
and means A/A then 20% more dmg?
Expertise training is not needed. in cdi some talked about dmg pets on condi builds are foo strong. maybe with power builds with condi pets and this trait the same.
bountiful hunter is difficult. plsy on warhorn and u have 6%. then with prot on dodge or boons from runes up to to ten percent. and in dungeon and zergfights even more because u hqve almost all boons all the time.
with 1% per boon it would be a nerf. i think 5% is absolutely okay.
intimidation training was the trait for spiddrs and dogs right?
this trait has other problems. why they give us cripple on f2 that concentrate on immob chill and fear? we loose a big part of that effect because the other debuffs are stronger and negates cripple half of the time
guard is weak for its effect but when the effect changes the cd needs to stay.
when not that would kill the shout ranger who use it for perma swift and regen.
i would love to see something with blind. mqybe the pet is invisible because they rolled in dirt and the first attack blinds foes for a small amount of time.
fern hound change with the heal buff on traits would be a bit to strong. i mean its a aoe heal with over 1500 heal. idk how that howl triggers with heal power.

but i strongly believe EB will stay in GM and when the traps will be moved to WS there will be no longer trap rangers because EB is too strong to change it for a trap trait.
i think markmanship is a better place for traps. they just need to bqlwnce the issue with conditionduration. i think with better base dmg of traps and a slight lowered condi duration on trap GM trait this would be okay i think.
