Pugging my runs take anywhere between 35 minutes and 1 hour 10 minutes depending on the players I get. I doubt anybody would be able to get this dungeon below 25 minutes so yeah I guess you could call 35 minutes a speed run.

I think you will find the Molten Alliance is easier than most dungeons. Im pretty sure they intentionally made the difficulty easier so it was more “accessible” to everyone. That said, there are some mechanics you need to know. I don’t think dungeons in general really cater to the casual gamer and even though they would come to complete them given enough attempts, I don’t think its worthwhile unless you want to say hey I acheived this. I don’t know why Anet didn’t have difficulty settings with these so they were accessible to all. I guess FoTM did in a sense, but still its not exactly what I would have done.

Congrats on a fine victory BG, but you guys need to reign in RISE on the forums. They’ve been there 2 weeks and they are acting like they are the sole reason you are winning.
I’m sure they are pumped to be a part of the push that is putting you guys over the top, but they are accounting for 90% of the BG chest pounding in this thread.

Well I have had many run ins with RISE and I have to say if it wasn’t for them BG would have come third this week. RISE carried BG like they have never been carried before. Whenever I see them I immediately leave the map because they are just too skillful for me.

By the same token, your saying “JQ ruined the competition” but the means in which they did it was by “stacking a server”. But the thing is, this was the case that certain guilds did this. Not the entire server. I personally never stacked the server. Entire groups/organizations/guilds did. So considering myself a part of JQ, why do I “deserve it”. And keeping in mind those “stacking guilds” have moved on. Id agree if you said that guilds ruined the competition, but its not JQs fault. The real leaders at JQ have been saying for a long time, go away we are full (so to speak). The players with integrity and aren’t there “to ruin the competition” still reside in JQ and they are the ones who get labelled with the “you deserve it”? I don’t think thats fair. The ones who still represent JQ are the ones who want real competition.

Never said once JQ wasn’t stacked. If I did it was a typo and I can’t see it. We probably have more numbers than SOR right now, if not at least more stable coverage, but we are struggling atm because SOR is constantly trying to turn it into a 2v1 and the 2v1 spawn camping hurt for a long time . At this stage thats probably a smart move by them, although Ill be taking some vengeance for that on them for some coming months. No more Mr Niceguy SOR! I see you I am coming for you!

Just to point out here, most of my kitten was from SOR and the double teaming they have been doing. I didn’t really care that much about the fact that BG is the most stacked server I have ever personally seen, but your BG forum warriors jumped in. And tbh I don’t really care about BG being stacked, it happens its the way WvW is designed to work so I work with it. But don’t be denying the fact that BG is the most stacked server in recent history. Its yours so wear it.

SoR and BG are not close and whatever makes you think that is ridiculous. I can hardly believe I just saw someone from JQ post this.

I thought those complaints were literally a joke tbh. As in, they were watching JQ get double teamed and complaining that it was them getting double teamed. This kind of fit in with alot of other comments (from the same people) at the time that were completely the opposite of what was happening.

I’m honestly not sure of how to take this. A Few weeks ago there was almost this wonderful rotation of one day SoR would spawncamp while JQ took points and the next day it would be JQ’s turn to spawncamp while SoR took points. This typically went on with a couple of guilds (which will remain unnamed for keeping the dramallama in check). I’ll even admit I felt like we (BG) were being double teamed, rather relentlessly. We still pulled through, however.

I never was one to openly voice my personal or tactical opinions of other servers on the forums and really this feigning responsibility, blame, etc is very disappointing from all parties involved. I expected better from the T1 community as a whole to either complain or make excuses. I had really hoped there to be more professionalism and competitive play than this rampant name calling.

This right here is what’s so entertaining about 3-faction combat. At any given time, all three sides can claim they’re being double teamed, and they’re all right.

Its only entertaining when it happens for a while or so. When its been going on 24 hours straight its just bs. Any BG or SOR guild that ever claims they “just want a fair fight”is full of… something. NVM, Ill continue to wipe you scrubs whilst yall desperately try to avoid one another and fail to take us down. I am JQ and Im coming for your women and children.

I did think it was literally a joke. Why? Because the first time I read someone from BG say it (and I recall it) I had just come off reset day about 6-8 hours game time where BG hit us in EB on one side taking Klovan and Aldons whilst SOR took WC side. Then both BG and SOR setup tonnes of trebs and both reigned down on the keep. Once the walls went down both delicately avoided each other whilst taking turns raiding the keep attempting to take it.

The same thing is still happening now. Both servers won’t touch easier targets, they only attack JQ. Tactically it made sense in the past to do that when we were ahead and BG and SOR were on equal footing. Now that we are behind it tactically makes no sense at all because we have a larger gap on SOR and they would be best hitting whatever they can take for PPT and attempting to close that gap.

I don’t think many people care about achievement points. Its the Laurels. Id sell all my achievement points for one laurel if I had the option.

You can do any level higher or equal to yours to level up. It will increase your fractal level after the whole run.

I just did a run with a guardian. First run ever. I did all 3 and Jade Maw at the end. I go back to the FoTM entrance and the highest level I can join is level 1. I’m not in a party. I do not believe this is correct.

If you guy’s truly wanna know why JQ gave up a 17k lead here it is. JQ as a whole has gotten bored of the repetitive wvw match up that we have now since the match up hasn’t changed much in a long time. (Guest in JQ la and ask this is the answer that you will get) Overall JQ is tired of wvw after weekend hype and a large lead and says lets go do something else that we havn’t been doing for months on end. JQ will continue to slack off until something new is added to wvw but until then have fun bg with first then maybe you guys will feel the same after a bit too.

Quite frankly, the game is boring. JQ is the #1 server in the history of the game. You can’t blame us that we want to take it easy and just relax on our luarrels and play other games. There’s no challenge left in GW2 for JQ as a server, we’ve fought the best and been the best.

Not to start a debate but I don’t think I quite understand your reasoning. You say there is no challenge left, yet JQ finally has a server that is beating them. I would think the challenge would be to try and come from behind and take that lead or close to it.

I seen this attitude develop a long time ago. Im not sure that I disagree or agree with it,but I understand it. I don’t hold the same “opinion myself”. They were winning for a long time and got bored well before BG stood up and recruited alot of members. I really like what BG is doing right now, albeit I have to play with a relaxed mind because thats what the generally mentality of the server has, which I won’t lie is frustrating when your a competitive player. JQ has been at it for a long time and there mentality is a bit different from other servers. Win or loss doesn’t seem to matter so much to the core players. But because of the winning this mentality has come over time.

I really didn’t understand the relaxed attitude when I first came to JQ. But I see it better now. They are a stable server and despite not always winning they win alot and when they don’t they don’t collapse and QQ like other servers. I can see that right now in EB. SOR taking one side and BG taking the other and have been double teaming for at least a good 3 hours. Other servers would have called it a day. JQ is still there defending.

Don’t think BG had any EU transfers lately, perhaps JQ/SOR pugs during EU timezone are demoralized. In fact, iirc BG lost HB’s cmder during EU zone.

BGs SEA presence is just pushing into and through the Euro time slot. Nobody’s EU presence is any different.

I played through SEA and EU timeslot last night. We had about 20 people in JQ EB. Compare that to the 80 player zerg BG was rolling around with. There is usually substantially more JQ on at this time. And this was before the collapse, when we held more of the map so it wasn’t a morale issue. We just don’t have players from Euro timezone playing right now. That said, it seems like BG has alot more players in the EU timezone, I see a huge amount of the Kaineng transfers playing during this timezone.

If I do a level 8 FotM with a fresh level 1 character I don’t go up to level 2? But if I do a level 1 I do. Why? Doesn’t make sense to me. I say this because Im currently doing FoTM in another class. Ive got chars around 20. But this makes it much harder to get a group together when you have to do a very specific level to increase yours. I can see negatives to it being structured this way and not positives, so what is the rationale behind having it this way?

Not sure if this is related, but last nigth in EB at Durios Post we could drop rams at the gate, but as soon as it was layed it dissappeared. There was nobody defending so it was not destroyed from damage.

JQ did seem to better overall performance when that guy was around…maybe they can beg him to come back? give his partner in crime another legendary?

Personally I’d rather see him bring DB here. There’s some talent on that server, and a few guilds we’ve yet to size up. I wanna leave this game, in some far off time, having crossed pixels with each and every guild in game. The video journal is getting extensive, but is as yet incomplete.

There is a slight problem with that for you. If he brings DB to Tier 1 it will probably be at the expense of SOR going to T2.

Man What time zone is before this is it europe? I get off work right now every day and come home and we are ticking at 100 or less on JQ. Then I was online for 3 hours on sor bl and we were outmanned for 2.5 of those hours. where the hell have all the people gone!

Since I haven’t slept for quite some time heres my blury recap. Asian/Sea timezone we had a ppt aroud 360 average (had the lead for all of sea timezone and Oceanic for that matter). One of the sea commanders in the map kept asking for a Euro commander to pin up so they could sleep. Never happened. 5 hours later same commander and alot of the same players are still on and trying to turn around a 20 point tick. Its like Euro didn’t even turn up and BG turned up with extra numbers to cash in on the smaller numbers than usual. Thats about all I can remember but thats coming off some 36 hours without sleep.

I have a full zerker build. Work pretty well tbh. Alot of people say “build toughness”for Ranger but I don’t find I need it. As long as your fairly experienced in WvW I find crit spamming tends to pay off with ranger.

Any server you choose will be fun. However most of the professorial veteran players are in JQ.

you are in denial if you don’t see the fact that JQ is declining…you won those previous matches by having the stronger SEA coverage and pvdoor other servers, you no longer have that advantage right now.

i predict JQ is gonna continue to lose, why? because they have players like you who keep believing that JQ is always superior, these people will never improve.

Can you throw the minis into the forge or do anything like that? I can’t imagine I have a use for more than one mini balthazar, let alone 50.

Interesting discussion on leaving and coming back to a game. I have always thought most gamers were habitual. As in, they get hooked on a game and thats it and if they leave thats it. Im like that myself. If I left this game Id never ever play it again. Id be off doing something else that I have grown a habit of doing, whether its a different game or something outside of that.

I was thinking the same thing. I did about 40 runs. I know alot of people got them around the first day. Then nobody after that. Its like they had a quota of drops and they hit it in the first day and then no more drops. Not that I care, I don’t want the jetpack and minis don’t really appeal to me either.

I don’t know what happened, but rangers seem to be just dominating everyone these days. 1v3? No problem. Im running a full zerker crit type build with no in built toughness other than signet of stone and its just melting every class. I know they had a bit of a buff, but I thought they were good before, now they just feel godlike to me.

The next dragon: The jungle dragon. Thats some speculation that is flying around atm anyways.

Thans for the reply. My main concern was if it was going to be locked to one character, because i frequently switch between all 8. Turns out, if I use it on one character I can put it in my bank, pick it up with another character and use it… so its account bound not soulbound.

I think the current system reflects reality better. Take T1 NA for example. Blackgate came third one week. The following week they came first. Why? Because JQ was playing less and BG came out in full force and pushed harder than usual. To beat JQ isn’t an easy accomplishment. If they had of been playing that way in Tier 2 it would have been a massive blowout. The points system that allowed BG to stay in Tier 1 helped keep balance. Servers have off and on weeks, but you need to rank them according to their average performance, not just the performance the week prior. All doing this would achieve is having more unbalanced match ups.

I disagree in almost every case Ive of skill lage Ive been in. Let me explain it this way. Zerg A consists of 1 player and Zerg B consists of 7 players. The server cannot figure out what skills are being cast and randomly picks one. Zerg A has a 1 in 8 chance of casting a skill or attack and Zerg B has a 7 in 8 chance of casting a skill or attack. Essentially this is the case in every SMC skill lag fight. The zerg with the largest numbers gets a bigger roll at doing the most damage and usually does. The only exception is when there are 3 zergs involved, but even then the results are often the same. Skill lag punishes skilled play and rewards zerging.

I used to main a thief. Then I found with the new ranger specs I could win 1v3s 98% of the time, deal alot more damage and have substantially more survivability.
