Yeah these would help alot. Anet, from what I can see, is implementing a structure into WvW that requires more organization. What we need though as servers/commanders/guilds/pugs is the tools to implement, organize and arrange this easier.
For the record, I don’t think it’s a exploit.
You can still be hit by falling rocks, and the Berzerker doesn’t stay in one spot forcing you to run around and get back in position.
Plus, I find it almost impossible to believe that this wasn’t tested for.
Although if all 5 players on your team stack at his feet, he will stay in the one spot the entire time. Its a source of rage I am seeing from players. 4 players stack at the feet and one player decides not to and berserker moves and gets the other players out of position and they have to risk dodging through waves because the other player isn’t doing it.
Just to be clear about this;
On my server, Ruins of Surmia, none of the locations are present as mentioned in Dulfy’s guide. this is not about not being able to find the right spots, they just aren’t there. This is the case on several servers so it seems.
The best solution now is to find and guest on a server that does have a working Lost and Found and Dead Drop Living story.
Im sceptical. Ive seen people saying they cannot find them on Jade Quarry, yet I found them.
My first thought was Necromancer. They aren’t really a frontline generally, but they still have alot of survivability. Then you have AoE with your staff which can provide alot of XP from kills. Id recommend going straight for increased mark size in the trait lines. Their initial heal removes conditions so you wouldn’t need to pick up a well for condition removal immediately. Sceptor can also do AoE, or you could build more power with an axe and whichever I definitely prefer the warhorn for swiftness and the 2 second daze.

Anyone else notice a drop in rares this week? Not sure if they increased the drop rate or its because we are killing a higher ranked server or Ive just been really lucky the last couple of days.

I think it was. If it wasn’t I still like it that way. I like how it throws you into two minds, should I attempt to miss this and risk getting multipe damage or a down or should I just take the hit straight on.
Yes it is, I have completed it. I was lucky enough to contact someone in map chat who knew exactly where they are according to the dulfy website at the time. Dulfy has a list of possible places with a number. The guy in map chat said to take a look at dulfy and in Diessa they are at number 8, 9,11 and wayfarer 7,8 and 9. So I took a look and he was exactly right and I completed the achievement. I guess if no one knows, your going to have to go to those exact locations when you do it, you will have to go to each location. The ones I went to the objects were exactly were dulfy said they were.

I have done around 35 runs. I believe the only unique drops I haven’t has are the backpack and the mini. I got the molten berserker tonic on my last run and I think that will do me for “grinding”. Ill go back and play for fun at some stage this week so who knows. TBH I don’t really want the backpack though, I was just happy to get the berserker tonic, even if it costs 100 lodestones to make ^^ I really like the chef recipes, 1 hour instead of 30 minutes is so nice.
Warriors, Guardians and Necromancers for taking the most damage and surviving. Elemenatalists have alot of abilities that make them hard to kill. Thiefs can build alot of mobility and with stealth can have alot of survivability. Engineers have some survivability but I wouldn’t be ranking them highly on this. Mesmers have alot of suvivability but its balanced out by slow mobility etc. Rangers actually can be hard to kill, particularly in water, but I wouldn’t rate them highly either.
And for those that scream with proud before: “BG is not T1 material!! BG is imploding!!!!”

BG was impolding at the time and was on their way to T2. They ate another server and now are no longer imploding, but that does not mean they were doing fine 2 weeks ago. Your comment is kind of stupid.
JQ’s PVE forces would also like to thank Kaineng as they can now all easily get blue vistas and POIs apparently. So I guess the question now is “how long til sea of black kainengs implodes!?!”
Actually the more interesting question is how far will JQ fall now that both EMP and FoO have left? They’ve now lost first place (not just the week, the rank) and all the fair weather players are going to abandon ship (either to PvE or to another server). The easy wins appear to be gone, so the buffer of players they enjoyed from that are a luxury no longer around and the guilds are going to have to work harder to stay in tier one, let alone win it. That’s something a lot of JQ isn’t used to. It’s going to get ugly (you can see the frustration on GW2Guru already) and as hard as the guilds might try to make up for the loss of numbers, people get sick of over time.
Rush to recruit because if the dominoes keep falling like they have been these last few weeks, the next time JQ will be green might be in tier two.
Yeah an interesting question. Although the next time we are green will be in Tier 8 in a week or two right after the sky has fallen and everyone has jumped servers because we only know how to win from coverage and since BG has the best coverage they will clearly beat us badly this week.
From what I am personally seeing in my time, this all in one group zerg meta is developing and changing. JQ in EB is now starting to frequently have two groups that work independently and rally together on occasion. To make a reference here there is a guild Ive been watching called GE that is looking like an up and coming guild in JQ. They mostly stack their guild and don’t pin up and move in a group of around 30 players whilst remaining independent from the zerg although merging with it from time to time. BG also stay together as a group but then split when zerg meets zerg with on group pushing and bait whilst the other group flanks.
I think what we need to make this a bit more successful is some development with the tools we can use. Particularly the current limitations on the commander pin. Players in Tier 1 NA are starting to adapt their strategies and it would just be a bit good to make this a bit easier with tools to organize groups.

A major reason why the pristine fractal relics were introduced. Despite players who played fractals for a while having a bank full of rings, pristines allow you to buy the ones with the stats you want.
Depends on the build. I run PP and DD with a full glass cannon build. Pre culling it did exceptional in a zerg fight because you could pour out alot of damage without being seen. Now that you can be seen its not very smart to do what you used to be able to do with a full glass cannon build. I still find it runs really well in a solo or small group roam, but pretty bad fighting a zerg on zerg fight. Im thinking about switching to maybe S/D or P/D with a SB or dual pistol. I really liked the PP and DD for damage but with a full GC build its just way to dangerous so adding some mobility with the weapons and a bit of survivability with traits. But I just want to find the right balance so I can maximize damage without taking too many risks from a 1-2 hit kill.

Some great action this morning between JQ and BG on EB. Those darn AC’s are killer, though strategies are adapting and I don’t think they are as bad as originally thought. Still need to be tweaked down a bit though.
We almost took lowlands until BG finally decided to wake up for the morning.
You guys swept through and cleared them pretty well. Pretty much how I think people should be playing this situation. Bait flank and sweep the open field AC and then hit us from North SM where we weren’t expecting it and wiping the defenses from SM. Not really sure with the SM bit though, you guys get bailed up there. I was chasing from behind and not sure how many were in front but alot of you wiped. Thought you were going to start doing laps around SM wiping all defenses and ended up wiping some how.
From what I am seeing so far, Necros still seem to be taking the sting out of the warrior frontline. Perhaps Im just running into Warriors with the old builds, Ill rebuild my Warrior how I think they should be done this week and give it a run, but statistically I see them as a top 3 until I get the experience of playing these new stats available.
I make a habit of dancing on dead bodies in any situation where I think there might be a useful comm that the dead player can give to their teammates. I personally have a pet hate with people dieing and hanging around. Hit the waypoint and move along. You should not be able to see whats going on around you when your dead (IMO) and hence I take offence to people doing it and do a little dance on their corpse to let them know how I really feel.
I’m not sure if many of you realise but for some of us, it’s not as simple as checking in every now and then to see if your server is controlling points. The second and third placed servers in my group repeatedly get owned by the first place server every week and at all times of the day. This means that some POIs and Vistas cannot be accessed because they just never flip, ESPECIALLY the ones inside the green battlegrounds. I’ve been stuck on 99% completion for a while now because of it. It’s a horredous mistake on anet’s end. Not only this but defending the same territories every week gets very boring.
Now that server transfers aren’t free, you’re more than likely to see the leaderboard stabilise which means your colour isn’t likely to rotate. Only way to fix this problem is to either randomise the colours every week or remove the WvWvW areas from the map completion altogether. And no, paying for a server transfer is not a good solution.
Don’t see a problem with EU T1 from a world completion stance. Your getting owned. Good. Now you will drop down the tiers. Make sure you pick up everything for the colour you are now because you will be changing colour in a different Tier if your getting that badly owned that not all points are acheiveable in a week or two.
Hey, I was still very annoyed by some people saying that people opposing the patch were a vocal minority and that it was mainly VoTF. I’ll grant you that no one has the amount of posts in this thread that I do (last time I counted I was well over 100).
I just decided to count how many posters actually supported each side of the argument. I did not count how many posts they made, only how many unique people posted here. (Please don’t bring up any sock puppet bullkitten)
I had to make 4 categories.
People supporting the patch. 105 Posters (also included were people who think the patch might have been a tad too much but still generally supported what they did to arrowcarts)People who had a balanced response to the patch. This includes people saying we should wait, people saying that it should do no damage to siege but keep the damage to people. Also included people saying that for this to work we would need swirling back or other kinds of fixes to counter the new arrowcart. (Most of these posts had a general negative response to the patch) 73 posters
Then there were people who were just trolling, trying to be funny or just said something that had little or nothing to do with AC’s or WvW. (50 posters)
Then there was the vocal minority of people saying they were opposed to the patch. 204 posters
There were also several posts from people congratulating and supporting VoTF to put so much effort into this.
I did not actively look for guild tags but I have seen some and do remember some as well. This is just a little bit of filler information for you guys.
I only remember one guild tag that I knew that supported the patch [AFTL]
And there were a couple of guilds that opposed the patch or supported the opposition to it. Obviously VoTF but also RG, MERC, RE, RiOT, RL, VcY, IRON, siN, Coin, CHOO, Helm, Aegis, Nugos, BT, DsD, GD, Equinox, Immortalis, VK, HOPE, NOM and someone claiming all Piken Square guilds as well
P.S. small disclaimer I may have made some mistakes in counting but those would be insignificant (definitely no more than 5 on any category). I did not count Devon Carver, you are welcome to put him in any category you want.

Just accept it dude. Stop spending time categorising and counting posts on an internet forum and go think about how to adapt your strategies to the new build. Its here to stay regardless of what you say, so there is no point wasting your time on this kind of stuff.
All they have to do is reduce the server map cap. Then you will see Tier 1 and 2 players funnelling down into lower tiers so they can actually play WvW. I agree its an issue that Anet needs to address. The players themselves can only do so much because we all like to win.
Yeah as Sokar said, spending laurels on Rings is a real waste of a very valuable currency. Just play some fractals and once experienced you will get the rings in no time (and potentially a bank full) just from doing level 10 daily.
CM is fun but yea, it absolutely brutal to the unprepared.
Seems to be so. I recall having one “reasonable run”when I played with 4 players from a guild who just needed an extra to fill in. I say “reasonable run”because I still wiped twice but got to the end of the path. Since I predominantly pug its not so good. Compare that to my experience pugging in most dungeons and its not a matter of “will I get through”but how quick can we get through it.
TBH Ive given up on this one for now. I can run all dungeons at a reasonable level/speed but this one, but for now Ill go back to speed running every other dungeon and put CM back in the “too hard basket”and revisit it another time.
Hi guys. I have a FOTM level 20 Necro and a few other classes around level 10. What are the common and more effective classes and builds in higher levels? Is it the same as every other dungeon where you have guardians, warriors and more guardians? I personally find with my Necro I am not really contributing enough by time I get to level 20. Im concerned if I continue with the Necro that will become more apparent.
AFter doing this dungeon around 30 times now, with the way its designed it would definitely be a dungeon that is soloable and we would definitely be seeing players on youtube demonstrating this, like there are for other soloable dungeons.
If you want to move on to the argument that it would take longer, the thing is everything in this game does take longer on your own that what it would in a group. So my question is, why do you only find this an issue with dungeons?

Just throwing it out there, most of what the complaints are in this thread (particularly from VoTF) are not being “hotfixed”. The devs have in a nice and well worded way stated L2P. They are fixing the damage to siege from AC, which I agree with. The damage to siege probaby isn’t a huge priority either so I doubt they would bring out a hotfix specifically for this. They might but Id expect them to just do it during a maintenance/patch.
I think I can speak for the entire VcY by saying we support what VoTF says, the ACs damage got to be reverted. And we ain’t the only guild/person saying it. I just have to look in /m chat to see nobody is liking the change.
I don’t really care what the VcY appointed community spokesman has to say at this stage. Not sure why your replying to me.
I think its a Tier 1 server issue. All 4 maps with huge queue times. I stopped waiting for EB after about 30 minutes. Thing is the servers can’t handle the amount of players they are getting on them. Fingers crossed Anet reduce the amount of players a map can take before the cap.
Last patch was an hour ago and we get a dungeon fix that wasn’t remotely needed.
Precisely. Its not high on the priority list. Although I think the dungeon is a big thing right now for the game overall so it would be a high(er) priority.

I do agree that this game needs a competitive format for GvG which is customizable for sizes or at least with a standardized format that caters for the majority of large guilds out there. That said, I think this should be more of a format available is sPvP than WvW just with an extension of players available and perhaps a ladder so guilds can see where they really are in skilled terms.
The bottom line is that I don’t think JQ or BG expected this to happen as fast as it did. I was hopeful with the new guilds that BG would over take JQ in a few weeks. So whatever reason you believe this played out as it did we should all actually be happy. It is nice to finally have a change in Tier 1 other than SOR and BG swapping places.
It also looks like Dragonbrand means business as I thought Tarnished Coast would be more of an obstacle. They could break into Tier 1 in a couple of weeks if they keep it up.
I don’t think it was fast and it didn’t happen all that quick. Blackgate and SOR’s ratings have been progressively getting closer and closer to JQ’s for a long time (pretty much since they both entered Tier 1).
Looks like no difference. Ive done about 25-30 runs thus far from when it started in Wayfarer to now. There are variations, but not ones that are changed because of the entrance and they are not major variations.
Firescreams AoE isn’t always appearing (not visible with red circle or animation) either. I guess its not biggie because its a temporary dungeon, but obviously would need to be fixed if they were going to keep it.
I think we’re (JQ) throwing it for players who are after world completion. Being green for how many weeks in a row now? Something like 12.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with that. Id actually be completely fine with JQ dropping to tier 2. There are alot of players who are getting bored. There hasn’t been anything to strive for and players have left or gone and done other things. There is a problem in WvW when you get to the top. There is nothing to retain the work players have put in. BG beating us is some incentive. Dropping to Tier 2 would be a big incentive to work hard in WvW. Guilds in particular have complained about this on a number of occasions. I personally see this and play less because of it. Ive played a bit under 20 hours this week in WvW despite racking up over 60 hours in the game this week. Had this been a few weeks ago all of that 60+hours would have been in WvW, but Im cutting back on purpose to give others a challenge.
Theres quite a decent drop on other things though. Ive done about 15 runs and got some lodestones, exotic weapons and armor, new chef recipes, some Ori/mithril/silk/gossamer inscriptions and the azuri pebbles and plenty of T5/6 drops, cores and Mithril/Orichalcum. All of this is enough to keep me playing a dungeon I enjoy playing for the rest of the time it will be here. Overall maybe I slightly better off farming Cursed Shore or Citadel of Flame but you know, I can do that anytime, Molten Facility is only for a limited time.
I think we need about a 450PPT for the rest of the week over BG (not just a 450PPT but that much of a lead over BG) in order to close that gap. This won’t happen. Seen some points turnaround but this just won’t happen. Well done to BG
I believe the concept is he kind of morphs by using parts of the dredge so that he has a different composition/powers etc so his health resets.

I just manged to plant 31 arrowcarts on the north gate of SM. 15 on the ramparts 10 below and 6 on the third tier. All were able to hit the gate where they were placed.
Note: Just because they arent built doesnt mean they cannot be built. The siege limit was not hit due to AC’s now being able to hit for 3500 range while the siege limit range is per 1000(or there about). Im fairly certain I could place more on the upper tier where the Cannon is also that can hit. (edit: I just placed 6)

You have 30 minutes to build them then hope you lose SM at some stage or be siege capped in EB for the rest of the week.
It is not the arrowcarts that are the problem! It is the rams and golems, they are useless they keep dieing when they are on the gate, as well as the men manning them.
please fix this bug asap.
Actually TBH I think you might be right about this. From what I have seen the rams do take too much damage from AC. Im fine with the damage players are receiving, but the rams just seem go down a little too quick.
I’m quite happy about this.. I can finally solo zergs with my trusty sidekick Arrowcartman.

Id say its unlikely. Most of the guilds at JQ have wanted a tight match for a while to the point where people have dissapproved of anyone coming to JQ so that everyone else could catch up. Now they have what they have wanted all this time. Personally Im not sure I agree with that attitude towards it, but I respect it nonetheless. I think Anet should be the one to help reduce the map cap to spread the population out (as well as reduce instances of skill lag). If guilds can’t get their team into a map, time to go to a lower tier server where they can fit. Right now JQ is considered stacked compared to most, although I think its part perception, yet we rarely get a queue. As a pug and the member of a small family guild that doesn’t get involved in WvW I wouldn’t want to move ever, JQ has a great community and Im happy where I am, win or lose.

JQ, if you lose, there won’t be any siege griefer to try and blame this time around. You still have the largest population of any server in the game both in PvE and WvW. Mobilize those people. Sorry it isn’t easy mode for you all any more and that you may actually have to try; I know that isn’t what you all signed up for.

This is true I was actually thinking this week that if you guys win it will be fully legit, not like last time. I don’t think your going to see much of a fight from JQ tbh though. I am getting so many lodestones, exotics and other expensive stuff that can finance my future WvW endeavors. I started farming Molten Alliance tonight and I think thats all Ill be doing for the rest of the week. The drops are 2G.
Molten Forge dungeon. Just finished a run. Get out and the entrance has dissappeared and there are people standing around asking where it has gone. Did it get moved or removed?

If a karma train can’t take your tower then what chance does a guild special ops/havoc team have.
None, and that’s as it should be. A fortified and defended tower should be a major defensive asset for the home BL. A fortified keep should be a tremendous challenge to take, and it should hurt.
The ability to “ninja” a fortified structure was one of the dumbest things in the game, and only little karma addicts are crying over this change.
Wrong, once a server nightcaps all of your stuff you will not get it back. the week is decided on reset night. We were slowly gaining in points until the change went into effect right after we had been night capped, now there is no way to take anything back. They need to really increase the matches to a month if they really want us to take days to get a keep back.
I assure you it doesn’t take long to take keeps. Earlier today Blackgate had 2 keeps. Right now they have 7. Earlier today I know we had 5 keeps and right now we have 2. Come Sea time period we may get them back where our coverage is strongest and possibly have the most. We won’t definitely get them all back because our server tends to suffer from events (molten alliance).

So have any Tier 1 or Tier 2 (I mean the matchups not the keeps – as in JQ vs. SoR vs. BG is Tier 1 NA) keeps or towers flipped since the patch? Is it really as bad as you’re claiming up there?
Several have been flipped just today. Bay is a little harder to take. Hills is rediculously hard, but it always has been with a decent defence. SM has been flipped quite a few times and I know with certainty Mendons and ANZ have been flipped. I don’t think Klovan and Wild Creek have been flipped. Not sure on Durios or Quentin Lake either. Pretty sure Klovan has been flipped since the patch but not sure (its not fully upgraded). Bay, cragtop, Sunny have all been flipped at least once that I can confirm. Theres the recap from my 10 or so hours today whilst taking a sicky from work :p
