Guild wars 2 take everything you love about guild wars 1, and put it into a persistent world.
^This is a big one. Don’t get me wrong though. I love gw2 but it get monotonous and stall faster than gw1 used to do 5 years ago. Its not only because of the game it self.
But i defiantly think they tried too hard to be innovative.
+ Very tanky
They are not very tanky. They got so much hp because they have no stealth or pets.
They have a few strong defensive traits but the healing is minimal.
If you are using shout heals you sacrifice pretty much everything for healing power.
Ranger is one of the easiest to level up and explore with.
But you’re better off with warrior. That is my favorite profession.
Its easy to use and they are pretty much useful everywhere.
Just to make sure, the warrior didn’t have swiftness on it did it?
Could be why speedbuffs help all leap skills except for teleport skills.
I think the main problem is the base HP of other classes, added to the fact that warrior wear heavy armor.
In terms of DPS, warrior isn’t even on top 3, according to someone who did the math. So that’s not why warrior is so good. It’s just that other classes have to put it some survivability in order to catch up with warrior’s survivability.
Thieves can get higher dps against targets with less than 50% hp, Ele can get higher dps against targets stuck in a wall and if there is only one mob they can get similar dps with lightning hammer.
Bomb engineer could probably out dps warrior too. But Im not 100% sure about that.
So warrior dps is in no way OP. If anything its a little too low.
Ascended items have such a little effect in wvw lol, if you lose a 1v1 or whatever it’s because you messed up or you’re just bad. The chances that the few extra stats could have made a difference is really kittening low lol, be realistic here, also they’re pretty easy to get anyway, trinkets especially.

It doesn’t matter if you agree or not ascended is here to stay. I just hope this is it. No more tiers and no legendary trinket/armor.
When colin were asked if there was going to be more tier he just said “I really hope not”. If they do that i will quit gw2 forever. Just like 90% of my in-game friends did.
I like this because i survive 48 maw agony but just barely. I grinded enough to get this much AR. Now make more interesting mechanics instead. More mobs anything but grinding more AR. Basically make anything above 48 do the same agony damage as there.
Then use you’re imagination and make some interesting content arenanet.
I think you are against this not because it gives roughly 5% stat bonus but out of principal. Same reason you are against jumping puzzles and crafting too correct?
Because it doesn’t really take long to do. And you can get it by playing wvw.
Every time you take a tower you have a chance to get it.

Most dungeons is always Night , then they will get 10% damage boost from night sigil.
CM,HOTW,ARAH is always Day rest trigger night sigil. Fotm is random.
Warrior, Eviscerate back to 700 range.
The best idea i’ve seen in these forums was something along the lines of “no pure offensive gear” for pve, meaning we’d have valk and cavalier, but no zerker and assassins.
Then we have valk trinkets rampager armor or gtfo bad idea.
The funny thing is that now warriors and engies can bunker better than guardians while providing a ton more pressure to the party.
Then use them. Being a good players also means using a good build.
The trait were bugged it was not intended to remove 2 conditions be happy you exploited the bug for so long without getting punished.
The remaining crafting disciplines when are they coming is it this year?
By that i mean the others to level 500 max.

The game needs nerfing too, because constant buffing will lead to some problems.
In PvE This logic is flawed because everyone well, most people are using the same warrior build that do massive dps. There is a couple reasons for that.
1) Support builds is useless.
2) Control builds is useless.
3) Tank builds is useless
4) Healing builds is useless
5) Mobs have a LOT of hp! 60k + is common. During level 4 candidate trail a normal mob would have 150k hp in a full group.
6) Armor make NO difference. Even with 4k armor you are still getting 2 shot by mobs.
You are still getting downed in a few seconds in pvp.
Only difference is that you do 10x less dps with no crits.
And so on. Before they have to worry about this they should give the game some more flavor. This is how it is in PvE right now.
Part of being a good player is using a good pvp build just saying. there is not one build that win everywhere there is at least 1 for every profession that is viable.
Except for elementalist i suppose.
They buffed skills that none use how is that not trying to make more builds viable?

Seriously guardian rated over necromancer??? do you know how long it takes to kill them with my necro? 15~ seconds. and that is without losing any hp at all if they are bunker.
Ele/mesmer/thief/guardian can out dps warrior with same buffs as the warrior. Warrior dps only comes from the ability to sustain self might/fury.
Thief can outrun sword/warhorn/greatsword warrior by using a sbow, ESPECIALLY when the terrain isn’t a flat straight line.
& require much more specializing & skill to pull off.
Don’t try to fudge the pointLOL wut ?y we all know how much skill thieves need,especially in the new s/d meta.Spam 2 and 3 is really hard.
Takes skill to outrun a war and a lot of specialization ?Nonono you can’t be serious.Heartseeker spam while invisible makes heartseeker jump 50% farther and run 50% faster,sword 2 spam,shortbow that only takes a mouse pointed on the ground,and not even counting utility.

I think Warriors need to make a decision here before Anet makes it for them.

If i had to chose i would take the first option keep the dps. Mainly for pve but still.
Even though i run one of the highest possible warrior dps builds i still feel like its just not enough things go too slow to chop trough.
Their weakness is not only condition necros its anything with conditions even thieves.
However when im fighting warriors with my necro if i get stunned im pretty much dead. How is THAT balanced? skull crack – > HB = dead necro. Unless doom is ready.
One massive flaw is that whenever i make a LFG. Random people just hit join without even reading it. When you’re group is full. If they are not level 80 or something else.
You have to kick them then make a NEW lfg. A nice addition would be if you could request specific professions or 90% critical damage. Or 5k+ achievement points.
And maybe a couple other options too and then they could ONLY join if they meet those requirements so you dont have to filter them after group is full.
What is the downside of playing warrior? Nothing. Go reroll.
Then maybe the limits are just too high? Or the limits are for all maps? Because i don’t see how it’s possible to have 200 vs let’s say 100 and people are in queue? or do we just have so many solo players that it makes it impossible to have as big group as the other team? :/

Me too I’m getting 5hours queue would rather fight for the enemies if their servers cant support a higher limit.
Because its better with 4w1m , i personally leave when pugs ask “need 2 guards?”.
Sure why not i can melee tequatl with berserker anyway wont waste money to get a tiny hp boost only in this fight when i dont die anyway.
Nerf guards as well. Those guards at a fully upgraded keep are sooo much stronger than guards at a wooden keep.
ehh when was the last time they ever killed a player? not to mention the sentries cant even kill dolyaks…

Gw1 were no different a team could consist of 1 infuse and zb monk, 1 caltrops rit flagrunner, 5 invoke spikers.
If you cant win in pvp with this system team build random builds and mixed all over wont make any difference.
Wow i meet the exact same guy he ragequitted when i beated him over and over before the match started he was telling me pve scrub and he were going to report me for hacking.

I agree with free transfer anywhere let people go where they want without farming their kitten of first.
I noticed most of the time the team with most engi,ranger,necro’s win.
This is so true basically everything except for blocking projectiles warriors do better.
And Mesmer reflect better than guards too. Now i know a lot of guards are going to tell me l2p but i don’t care. My warrior hit like a truck block all damage for 7 seconds.
Regen endurance faster without proccing vigor. I’m having a blast.
Never use mail for several hundreds of gold. Sorry for you’re loss but its not a secure trading system. Until they make real trading use it for small amounts or people you know.
I saw the video and the commander and a couple others said dude go somewhere else and were being rude. Pretty sure if had not tag up he would break the rules and receive a 1hour ban at least. The arenanet employee were just playing the game as intended.
I would also include Crusher and Hunter because the most dangerous thing is Immobilize spam from Hunter.

I wouldn’t bring a Warrior to CM over an ele or guardian.
Of the all possible content you could mention, you name the DG where Projectile Reflection/Disruption are everything that matter…Grats.
Arah is much more projectile-heavy than CM. A single mesmer can totally neutralize something like half of the bosses in that dungeon.
I didn’t say it was the only one.
Reflects are probably one of the most OP things in Gw2 PvE atm, that’s a fact.

Heck, add another way to get the gear. Would be a perfect way to introduce hard mode to dungeons. Why must it only be crafting and extremely small chances of a box, with an even smaller chance of a box you can even use?

Basically. If there is different ways to acquire ascended armor then why not. But if fotm is the only way its better if its not implemented in the first place.

Actually, the priority should be on the player dealing the most damage or healing the group for the most amount of HP. Another alternative would be to who has been doing the most burst damage, even if said person isn’t doing the most DPS. Also . . . how do you know those people are doing 10x less DPS than you?
I was exaggerating a little bit but i was doing fotm yesterday. We 3 guards 2 wars. We were at swamp fractal. All the other ones were using ranged. all the guards were using scepter, the other warrior were using rifle. and they kept killing the wolves when i told them not to. I had aggro all the time nonestop, the only time the others died where when they were ressing me. The particle effect from Virtue of Justice made it impossible to see when he was throwing his axe at me. I died 3 times on only this fractal because of that. When all the other guys were doing was just autoattacking and randomly hitting wall of reflection. But i do know i did more dps because when i hitted 27k on mossman his health dropped a lot. When they attacked you saw no difference. I could do the same as them and just autoattack with rifle so another poor guy gets all the aggro. 1) I prefer melee 2) its faster.
Anet i this is a bad idea then could we please get a option to disable all particle effects?
Right now mobs target the closest player with the highest armor. Problem is when i get in a pug group where everyone is ranging from max range dealing 10x less dps than me but i have to dodge all the attacks while they just range from safety. This is wrong.
The priority should be on the players furthest behind and lowest dps.
This is only a problem in pug groups and you usually never find out until you make some progress in the dungeon.

Again with the trinity. When did people get so limited to think? who says anything about trinity? Read the game manifesto first. Read about support and control roles. Then read the whole thread. Then grow up and post like a man not like a kid playing cool.
I have seen the manifesto on youtube and everything is wrong.
The optimal stats is berserker why even use anything else in pve.
Even if they made healing viable, made it heal for as much as mobs hit and as frequent. You could still just dodge the attacks. As long as the game have dodging there is no way the others can be viable. I know what support/control roles mean.

If you think it’s so OP in PvE then go do fractals on full berserker gear and tell me how many times you’ve died.

I would like to see this armor return but not in the gemstore.
What about a new elite instance where after you beat a series of hard quests you can buy the armor from a npc? just like FoW but it could be different. We never beated menzies himself so maybe he and the shadow army could return in this new instance?
I want anything but gemstore even if its just a crafting recipe but i think this is a pretty cool idea.
I’m gonna say it right now. My warrior is my main and I’ve dropped every single profession many months ago because of how much I love my warrior but what some people are saying here is outright stupid.
Warrior has high PvE DPS, but by no means is it the highest. It’s simply the most accessible as all you have to do is press 2.
You have played warrior a lot so im not going to say you’re wrong ok but this is what i do. HB on 3 mobs to get 25 stacks of might. If they are pinned to a wall WW else skip that part. Swap to axe 2,4 gives 8 stack of vulnerability then 5 just for the CC.
Then finish the autoattack chain, and repeat. Warrior is not so simple all you can do it press 2. Axe autoattack is really fast and when buffed i can hit 3-4k with this.
They also stack vulnerability on crits which helps a ton especially on bosses.
Those of you who say guardian do more dps, did you take in account buffs and traits? because on my i see nowhere near as high dps as my warrior.
What buffs i get in a spamfest zerg is irrelevant.
