I think the simple solution to warriors in nerf there mobility.
If just make there gap closers need a target then that would balance them with there high hp/toughness/damage/armor. Sure they would be scary to be the focus of but there ability to just run away and regen if you get the better of them would be removed.
After all full plate mail should not be out running people in light and med. armor. Nerf mobility and you increase risk/reward of the class.
indeed warriors should be fighters not the best at retreating and control a whole fight while regenerating insane amounts of health without almost none being able to catch them
warriors is not op because they can run. If someone run away from you in a fight you have won. Why is that so hard to understand for some people. Guardian is there to control the fight and stay to the end not warrior. Warrior was never advertised as a tank class in this game.

well yes Confusion does the same thing as visions of regret except its just much weaker and way more situational. in gw1 good mesmers could really mess with you’re head so much you couldn’t use any skills at all.
As much as i loved mesmer in gw1 it couldent work here the same way.

My ideas of new skills:
Staff
skill 1 Gamma ray, consistent beam high damage singletarget. Enemies closer than 80 range will be poisoned for 2 seconds.
skill 2 Red sprite , grows larger inside enemies then explode burning and poisoning nearby while dealing mediocre damage.
skill 3 Crystal orb , A slow moving orb that will do high aoe damage and burn enemies cause 1 second daze on hit. Can be detonated mid air to knock back enemies
240 range with low damage.
skill 4 Chrono curse, Animation is a scepter scattering green powder above enemies. Cause chill for 10 seconds and 33% slower attack speed and skill activation.
skill 5 Chronosphere, a dark sphere covering enemies then dissapear in a white flash and teleport them in the middle of air, Explosion do low damage. with high
falling damage. In pve explosion damage is increased because enemies wont take damage from falling.
Sword , Fast low damage weapon
skill 1 , Unnamed, Melee range Basic attack
chain 2 , Cause 1 stack of invunerability
Chain 3 , Cause stun for 1/4 second.
skill 2 , Shield aura, cover the caster in a green sphere for 5 seconds. the next attack causes knockdown for 1 second. If not attacked ends and give 3 stacks of might, and heal allies for 100hp
skill 3 ,Lethal Deception, Make a clone , The clone will have the same boons as you do and move horizontal/Vertical from the way you move. Caster is in stealth until clone is killed. Only 1 may be active at a time. The clone Will teleport 600 range from the caster if outside 10.000 range.
Utility
Summon Chaos aspect
Summon a glowing golem which can take a lot of damage and deal mediocre damage with slow attacks.
Utilites is Based around manipulating time and crowd control.
So this is my idea to a new profession that would add something new to the game unique to other professions. Please tell me you’re opinion.

The reason players stack is because its faster not because its easier.
If mobs would kite it would just promote even more elitism because clearing a dungeon would go 5 times slower. If they are going to “nerf” this then give us heroes.
What do you mean by lack of skill? you will still be doing the same thing if you don’t stack only difference is you will take more damage and do less damage. I got trough cliffside fractal without stacking on the ether seal part. Because of the agony that make the blow up when they die. Its possible we just had to think new.
It was not harder but certainly MUCH slower.
-1 to this idea , you’re free to advertise “kill all no cheap tactics” run.
If you want optimal dps go elementalist. Its harder to master than warrior but if you do more rewarding.

My ascended from a year ago is still viable in wvw now full ascended and its viable and i dont think it will change anytime soon. zerk wars ftw
Where did you got ascended armor and weapons a year ago?
I meant rings/back item and you can already get them in wvw i know.
But the best and easiest solution:
Upgrade exotic-stats to ascended-stats while in WvW.
I mean every lvl 1 is upgrade in WvW to lvl 80, why isn’t equipment?
If they do that I want a refund on my Ascended gear. I spent a fortune making my WvW set and if they are going to negate the hours upon hours of mindless grinding I went through to get it I need something in return.
You have a return: You can use it where you earned it: in PvE
It’s my WvW set, next to worthless in PvE. My full exotic zerk set is more efficient than my WvW ascended set so there is no way I will be using it in PvE.
Your current ascended will be second choice on a second choice character-class soon anyway

So your current class may need different stats, or your whole character will become superfluous.Ascended is just to much effort for WvW, where you have to react to skill changes fast, currently player suffer to much from pay-to-win in WvW.

I dislike most PvErs for plenty of reasons. Such as:
- Some think they are the kitten. Have legends, ascendeds, and try and order WvW vets
- Their game is x10 more simple, and x10 more rewarding.
- some rarely get on teamspeak/voice comms because they dont really care, being a rallybot and messing up a potential good fight
- Fairweather on you whenever. Lol you wipe? Kpeace let me afk at spawn
- Disobedient. They rather squirel chase roamers, cap a sentry, push in to lords room than follow you/help you
- They prefer karma training over actual WvWList can go on. This is why I hate PvErs
I play both game modes and reading this make me sad. You sound exactly like some in my server which is why i like the new map better the community there is much better.
In this map the only discrimination i got was from enemies.
NO. You must stand there and facetank it. That way people will be encouraged to wear cleric’s/pvt.
The problem is if all in the party have 300/dps on a mob with 70k hp that hit for 15k on glass targets you’re still going to get hit for 10k or more the difference is. Instead of bursting it down it will burst you down. There is no healing skills that can save you.
Except my necro it drive away them the secret to beat them as necro is weakness.
Had to give up taking garrison after a 2hour long fight because people constantly contesting the ring and bannering lord. And when i got to overgrowth keep…
Just WOW that boss is one of the toughest i have ever seen i can just imagine the pain to take this if there was actually anyone defending… Yes they should do something about that. badland keep was much easier that can just stay the way it is.

Sorry i just had to laugh at the people saying there are better bunkers than warriors. It’s simply not true. I have a bunker guardian and warrior, and even without the protection and aegis that the guardian has, the warrior outperforms the guardian by miles. Its not even close. Warrior has a ridiculous amount of sustain without speccing for it. And if you DO actually spec for it you absolutely cannot die unless you have a whole zerg beating on you. Your damage will be pretty insane too as a condition bunker warrior. You can out dps damage specs of other classes while also being tankier than the tankiest specs of other classes. Yeah, warrior is balanced LOL!
Healing signet helps quite a lot of sustain thats right but this is to discuss warrior not guardian if you feel guardian is lacking sustain then make a new thread for it.
LA will be destroyed all the npcs is changed with watchknights that look after you.

by the time u can buy a legendary u should have so much badges from achievement chests that this should never be a problem and rank 30 doesn’t really take that long. if you just want it as fast as possible follow the zerg with a theif and spam choking gas.
If you’re against skipping and you skip 50 risen in arah you can just kill 50 risen outside the dungeon when you’re done its the same thing.
If they gonna stick to this 3000 per item you will need 48.000 AP to get the full armor.
12k for boots would make more sense in my opinion.
Love the new map our team did really good and we won the matchup guess what we got ? nothing. This just doesn’t make sense to me. Sure i was having fun but its there not suppose to be a purpose of trying to win? i could get way more bags by just jumping on my thief and gank some upscaled is that how this map is suppose to be played?
They changed berserker stance to be immune to conditions because of the condi meta.
They wanted warrior to be hardcounter to strong condi builds primarily necros,rangers,engineers because no other class had a chance to stop them.
But now its hard for warriors to beat necros after skull crack + a lot of other nerfs.
Warriors were considered a free kill for over a year before they got some buffs.
I agree that elementalists are currently underpowered, but that untelegraphed S/D combo should be toned down. The first thing would be deleting the damage component of Lightning Flash and making it a stun breaker again. That would be a buff to elementalists while also reducing the damage of that combo.
If if still deals too much damage … it’s a tough one. I wouldn’t change Hurl, Earthquake, Static Discharce or the Arcanes … which only leaves Lightning Strike. But giving Lightning Strike a cast time would require a rework of all Scepter-Air skills – maybe not a bad idea.
I dont agree on this at all, I got attacked by a ele on a sentry using S/D and i barely beated her i was left with less than 3k hp. I learned then solo eles is a force to be reckon with and thats how it should be.
That’s when its fun not when they are free kills.

The problem with this whole change is that ANET is trying to solve for the wrong problem. The issue is with zerker gear and warriors in PvE. No one ever asks for 5 GC mesmers to run a dungeon. The problem is the damage/defense ratio of the warrior. They can go all zerker and still be fine defensively.
Fix the warrior. Don’t mess around with crit damage. At the end of this change, you’ll still have zerker warriors be the king of PvE. Know what that means? This whole ferocity change is a fail.
stacking warriors isn’t the best tactic for pve, not by a long shot
Absolutely warrior is best in nothing well except mobility. The only difference is they are not terrible in anything they could use some buffs to be on par with the other professions.
Hate to be the bringer of bad news but anet is never gonna give rifle to ranger because they are nature theme or something like that just make a warrior.
The shoulders on norn looks really BAD this must defently have been made by a developer from blizzard.

Little is known about Mordremoth but since hes the jungle dragon. It could be the mastermind behind a mad sylvari. Gamarien Wyld Hunt is to battle the darkness in Wychmire Swamp and he fear a much darker force than nightmare court lives there.
Which means jungle dragon could be somewhere in the grove or twilight arbor.
I have yet to fail the wardens, i have been downed a few times and died once on the one that throw bombs. I was lagging so much they didnt even render. And the camera zoomed all in because i was on the corner. But i find it pretty tasteless how you can even compare them to liadri. Liadri was 10000x harder the ooze and deadeye was harder than the wardens too. Im sure the ones who cant beat the wardens would never beat liadri. I was farming pavilion with 5 gambits. And every time i found a arena with little queue. Someone who was trying to do liadri came ONLY because i was farming there. It would had been much better for them to do it with other people trying to beat liadri but no.
I failed this event a lot because others cant beat the wardens GG Anet.

there HP difference with warrior is a mockery, guardian is a “soldier” class like warrior its unacceptable to have almost the half HP, i dont want to comment on class power comparsion people have said it a million times on the forums and its pretty obvious by now.Guardian used to have the same hp as warrior but arenanet figured they was too strong and nerfed it. You can always just make a warrior or necromancer if you want high hp thats one of the pros of playing those. For a year warriors was considered a free kill the only thing making them survive for more than 5 seconds against conditions is the regen.
Then guardian can hold a point against 3 players and survive way longer than warrior.

I played the predecessor and as much as i love gw2 it has absolutely nothing in common with gw1. Infact World of charrcraft would fit better.

Bunker : Guardian > Warrior > Every other class
Support and healing allies : Ele/ Guardian > Warrior > Every other class
Solo roaming in WvW : Mesmer > Warrior > Every other class
Single target damage ( PVP) : Thief / Mesmer > Warrior > Every other class
Single target damage ( PVE) : Ele/Thief/Guardian > Warrior > Every other class
Might stacking: Ele/ Guardian > Warrior > Every other class
Utility ( PVE – blocks, reflects, boons): Guardian> Warrior > Every other class
Condition damage: Necro/Engineer> Warrior > Every other class
AOE damage : Necros/Eles/Engis > Warrior > Every other classRead it. Understand it.
Maybe realize warriors aren’t OP.I’m too lazy to correct some of them but you get the idea. Warrior isn’t the best, but it sure as hell is NOT the least for most of those.

This game have no trinity. Warrior can play healer and ele can play tank.
As long as there is no 30/30/30/30/30 with 5 weaponswap builds.
The reason they nerfed hammer was because warriors could bring too much cc as well as dps. So they want diversity they just dont want them to be effective in everything at the same time.
Warrior is best in nothing its just most played.
A optimal team in dungeons would be 3 eles 1 ranger 1 mesmer zero warriors.

I didn’t make a warrior to play tank i made it to DPS and thats what they do good and its working as intended. They are the squishiest profession after elementalist.

Warriors have skills to become invulnerable but SO DO EVERY OTHER CLASS.
Its meant as a last resort of defense it only last for a few seconds. stop with these threads already.
That being said. Warrior can do decent dps but nowhere close to what thieves and elementalists can do. Or even engineer spamming bombs.
So why do YOU complain about warriors? is it because you lose to them in pvp? Well why don’t you think of new strategies why don’t you ask good players and btw most of them dont play warrior.

Hundred Blades is already the best PvE skill in the game. Why would it be changed? Not every skills should be great at PvE, PvP, and WvW. You need to change it up depending on what you want to do.
Wrong Fiery rush is best skill in PvE. Warrior is subpar on most things its desperately in need of buffs. Healing signet counter passive play and bad players that the only thing it counter. All it take is 4 stacks of bleed to outdamage it. Nothing on warrior is op.
They need mobility to not explode in 2 seconds in pvp.
Does it matter if they played the game for 2 weeks or not as long as they know how command? i dont care if they change it but if they do make sure to refund the ones that already got it.
The only other game i played that had a soft trinity AND did it right was diablo 2.
They basically made all skills super overpowered if you was maxed out dps sorcerer you could use an attack that would kill baal in nightmare mode in 1 shot. But they also made mobs hit way harder and high vitality/armor was important. You pretty much wanted to stack enough strenght/dexterity to weild elite gear. then the rest you would put in vitality. It sounds crazy to have so strong skills but they did it just perfect. Defense was important otherwise you would get overrun too fast by all the mobs.
I have a suggestion ferocity nerf dps by 10% but we also get 10% higher vitality.
