Consumed Hate – Thief
Unlucky Scrub – Ranger
People whining against team queues in ranked are just using it an excuse for their own failure and unwillingness to improve themselves or work as a team.
Alternative view
People whining against Solo/Duo queues in ranked are just using it an excuse for their own failure to win solo and requiring a premade to help carry their low skill kitten . .
OR another alternative view: People with titles earned by duo whine because they take advantage of the system some people want removed for fairness.
Titles are given to individuals thus not really a team sport. Even duo is not a team sport. 5v5 (as in team) would be a team sport. Solo queue rank titles would then be truly “solo” by removing duo.
You and a friend rank up doing duo because you are beast mode….you abandon friend because you find a better duo partner. You get God Of PvP or something like that. Did you earn the “single” title? Nope not really.
Eh… we all have opinions
A way better system would be automated, scalable tournaments at a set time of the day, or multiple times a day. As this system will condense the population at these specific time frame, and allow a way more competitive and rewarding environment.
So if I understand right a few times a day and queue up? If that is true that is a bad idea because some people will get to queue and play every time while others maybe once per day? Or even if once per day not all would get to play if at all. Bad idea imo.
I choose Zerk if leveling as most PvE stuffs are easy kill. End game different story and depends on what you want to accomplish. For instance I have a Condi Mesmer and can kite almost all HPs in HoT. Then you need to figure out if you are going to WvW or PvE content and go from there on what is desired by who you play with and what they need.
I’ve always advocated for separate queues: Team Queue(5v5) and Solo Queue(1-man) The reason is that duos and mixed queues simply do. not. work. They just don’t. Only 5v5 and solo queue works.
For those of you that want to play with a friend, I’m sorry but this is a game for TEAMS OF 5, NOT teams of 2 or teams of 3. The teams of 5 can either be made up of individuals or a party. EITHER WAY IT’S A TEAM OF 5. It’s time to accept that your ideas simply didn’t work. This season is explicit proof of it.s Mixed queues are killing us.
I totally agree with these two statements. I think on some of my posts people were getting mixed of what I was trying to say and you clarify my point(s) I have made. DUOs queuing in solo queue is not “team” or “solo” it is “fubar”.
I have also stated before that PvP titles are singular in it awards to top PLAYER not a group or your buddy who DUO’d with you and now you are rewarded for that if that is how you got to top rank.
I would not mind seeing a GvG PVP season say 15 or so players fight to the death
I know there is WvW but that does not let EVERY guild participate against ANY guild.
Eh…I am new to PvP so what do I know :P
@Bruan
The matchmaking needs work. I think we all know that. I just find it odd that really you get in a match, two people change up and the other team gets steam rolled. Been on both sides of that battle. I just think if you commit to one profession you shouldn’t be able to switch. Again. Just my opinion on how game play is affected by being allowed to switch.
@ Kir Sakar
You are target by certain specs as I am target by certain specs.
@Everyone
LISTEN, I do not have all the answers and again merely pointing out my first season and what I see needs looked at. I am surprised there are no 1v1, 2v2, or team arenas. The most important fact for me is that you may be #1 in the world and get titled for that but used another player who was good to get there. Then that is not your title IMO the way the current set up is.
Okay peeps calm down :P
Seriously though I am new to PvP in GW2 and not sure how the other seasons were setup. I do appreciate your understanding that I am new and I like the feed back. I may be off point on some of it because I haven’t played past seasons. So let me clarify on a few of your comments:
@Dinster:
I am in no way telling anyone how to do PvP but only what I saw in game and have read in forums and other areas of complaint. You are correct not to complain of PvE stuff if you do not do it and though I am not complaining of the PvP issues I see I am merely just pointing out my “2 cents” since I HAVE done this season and still PvP’ing away.
PvP title is individual correct? So no DUO since you may get assistance ranking up. If it were a team title then that is different. Just my opinion. I know you didn’t want me to bring it up but there is plenty complaints out there on this.
None of my points are irrelevant since it is opinion and you are free to disagree.
Point #2 I could clarify more like this. Current 5 v 5 titles individuals at end of season, again NOT teams. Many have said make it a 5 v 5 team. That is fine but pointing out it would have to be a separate rating system and arena since it would be “team” oriented. and I assume they would want team rating system.
This was my first full PvP season in any game. I have only ever tinkered in PvP. I had fun, gots me some goot loots but even still I tried as hard as I could to learn from the experienced. Learn from the ragers of what not to do and so on. So after playing…. reading forums…watching videos…learning the ropes…her is my 2 cents:
1. PvP titles are for the best of the best. DUO queues should be out.. period. I do think it hurts the ranked because they can chat on TS or what have you. Season 6 looks to keep same setup. This isn’t to say DUOs are better or not but I believe can be a disadvantage.
2. 5v5 premade groups? Separate arena…separate title for Team. 5v5 is not team per say as it is finding the best solo player. Being able to queue up with 5 buddies is asking for more rage that the servers can handle. UNLESS it is a separate area.
3. Profession switching prior to match. Though I understand the matchmaking needs some work how is it matchmaking when people queue with one profession only to switch to another? That breaks the system. I cannot prove the statistics I see but more times than not it becomes a disadvantage to the other team.
4. I hear a lot about OP this OP that. Nerf Warrior, Guard and Thief? Pretty soon someone will catch on to my Necro build which does fairly well against the above and then there will be call for nerf on Necro. Win some lose some and sometimes you lose against skilled players and not OP professions.
5. Calls to drop loot because it is drawing in PvE’rs and ruining rank. Yeah…don’t think so. Though being mostly PvE until now the loot is great and I personally like the competition. If people are there for the loot…have no skill…Daily Rewards…they do not rank up and thus your point is moot. If you are gold or higher, trust me you are not playing against noob PvEr’s like myself :P Hell I couldn’t even get out of bronze but once. I attribute that to being new, getting better and we’ll see next season.
6. I know the DEVs work hard, take the criticism and try harder but not everyone will always be pleased.
I want to thank all in this forum and in-game if we crossed other, for your help, understanding and great attitudes as I am now continue on the PvP path.
Laurels……………………..(periods for 15 character minimum response which is now useless because I typed more words)
I think you maddies missed a few things. They did release a statement (maybe not to your liking and time frame) and they do not owe you or I an explanation until they have a for sure answer anyway. I saw Moderators in and out of posts ALL DAY saying we have issues…we are trying… and such and for some reason so many people think ANET boned them. Why get angry over something they could not control?
Just my opinion… start the trolling saw on me
OR….or… Go PvP :P I am up to like 120 charges when I was around 15 or so left
Sigh…. So storms and no power and they bring it up and servers crash and suck and lag and people would’ve been like “Why didn’t you wait until power was restored…I can’t believe your systems were not ready and you released anyway”
Sound right?
Thanks. I did send the other account some items as a test and a few gold with no issue.
Sometimes I want to log in and do a few dailies, wind down and just want to be left alone. I have been playing from release. I know I can flag myself offline but I may end up running into someone and then blah blah blah.
SO… what I have done is created a free account, I have taken advantage of HoT sale and even selected a different server to just play alone basically when I want to be alone. Mainly I will PvP or WvW on it for the time being.
Question 1. After the 4 day waiting period can I send gold and other items to my new account?
Question 2. I have 800 gems on main account. Can I gift items to the new account?
Thanks for any answers. Since I chose a different server than main account, this is why I ask.
I think that will all come under review after season. I was in a match that the opposition had duo thief and duo necros. Not sure their rating but we were spanked pretty good so I can only assume. I like your idea but would like to see duo go away all together. This is about the best…now how the good can play rank down and then rank up to be best.
I love the name…. Fry
To me the huge PvE rewards helped big time, in completely destroying PvP in GW2 for me. To the point it forced me to look for PvP elsewhere. But meh what do ANet cares, I expect this to be infracted, by the admins, and then ban me from the forums for one month, just for the kittens and giggles.
You do realize that in the past there were many complaints from PvP’rs that they thought it was unfair to get some cool looking armor / wep skins that were available for the dungeoneers and such. “I do not do PvE but am forced to in order to get PvE stuff” has been and is in the forums. Even as a PvE’r I never got the stuff because I just can’t dedicate that much time. PvP gives me a better opportunity to get those now. HOWEVER like I mentioned above, I decided to “git gud” though my rank does not seem to reflect that I am a much better skilled PvPr than that rank shows.
IMO my Necro and Ranger take down thieves regularily. There are some those times it is impossible but I find it not that bad. Most MMOs with thief is burst but squishy.
For instance on my Ranger, target thief, send in pet, hit Signet of the Wild or Strength of The Pack or even both if you like and burn ’em before they can poof.
Every class has a nemesis. For my Necro I stay as far away from Mesmers as possible. Ranger I have to outlive the stomp stomp smash of a Warrior and maybe I can survive long enough to bounce a few arrows off him.
I often still get surprised when I see a player who doesn’t even know that there is a pvp build menu, they just assume that their pve build carries into the match.
This was me a few weeks ago! I jumped in and had no clue. Where are these amulets metabattle is speaking of and I am trying to change runes or sigils on my stuff but I AM STILL DYING! Lol. Halfway through my leveling to 20 in unranked I found out what I was missing. I suggested a tutorial in another post as well and think that would have some great benefit.
I am certain it brings variety but do rewards attract skill?
For me I had done very little PvP until a couple of weeks ago. The shinys was the draw for me. Ascended armor for another toon. However I got sucked into actually liking the PvP aspect of the game and since you have to play unranked until 20 you either understand how to play and your role or you don’t.
I focused on Necro and Ranger and hold my own quite often and have a lot of fun on my almost done with the reward containers for the season. I also witness some horrendous play styles and builds that cost you matches.
Instead of getting salty about it I just come to realize that everyone who owns the game has the right to play whatever content they want the way they want. I decided to try and be as pro a I can and it has been a long time since someone has been hostile of me during a match.
My point is people that is joing ranked doesnt eaven no map, rules, communication……they just come to do dueling. To me it looks like kids come to play.
Yeah I can agree with that. Fighting off point I learned as a big no-no. The map is your friend and chat can keep you alive. I have other conspiracies but will keep them to myself.
don’t que ranked with questionable internet.
He was not complaining of bad internet. Re-read. It crapped out for a minute…not even two. Doesn’t mean he has bad internet or he sure would not be Gold.
Any who YAY to the fix!
Lmao. These threads all have OP’s that refuse to learn different builds or classes. You can’t use the same exact thing every single time and expect to win every game. You need to look at your comp and the team comp and adjust. My build is an exception because I experimented through hours of effort to get to it. My only problem with PVP is my ping in EU. And the fact that a significant amount of intramural tier EU players fail to acknowledge that this is a issue that impacts gameplay significantly. But I play to play, and I’ll play through a lag spike no crying.
Just to be clear, in case you are “LMAO” at me. I play a ranger as well but I prefer Necro, it’s what I am good at, I can burn Warriors and Guards down no issue. My only nemesis is a Mesmer.
Why do you think everyone would have to play another class? I have found something that works for me and stick with it. I am not a salty PvP’r. I understand I am going to win some lose some. After that post BTW I went on to a healthy win run ratio and am plenty happy with my play style.
Since I am about two and a half weeks into actually playing PvP (I have done nothing but PvE since release of GW2) would you not rather pair up with me who knows how to play or pair up with me playing a Guard making a fool of myself?
Anyway, no hard feelings as everyone plays different and TBH I am surprised I am enjoying PvP and am surprised how well I am doing it. I really expected to play for a few days, punch monitor, beg wife for new monitor then punch it again. In reality I have found new enjoyment to the game but also understand that it needs tweaking. Go to any other MMO Forum and find the same salty posts of how bad developer is failing, OP builds, match making sucks…. it is really what kept me away from PvP and that is a shame because I wasted 4 years killing static monsters when I could have been downing all of you :P
Thanks. Much appreciated for quick response.
If you place someone on ignore can you be matched with them in the future? Does match making then not match you to the same team with them?
I still think it is hit or miss. Yesterday into this morning. OMG I had like 15 loses to 3 or 4 wins. But then today as of now I am riding a 7 game win streak. Comes and goes. Some people get caught off point and no choice but to fight or take a chance on downed before reaching point. So many variables. I will be buying stock in Kleenex though because there is a lot of kittening going on during losses. (not aimed at OP)
I’ve suggested selling them in both forms, an outfit, and armor skins to be mixed and matched. People want more skins, and these models are already in the game. It would be simple enough, but I doubt they would ever do it, though I don’t know why. I don’t see a lot of people running around at 80 in outfits outside of the new ones in the market.
It wouldn’t be “simple enough”. It would be a nightmare. The current armor sets in the game are designed to be mix-and-matched with pieces from different armor sets without having too much clipping or seam issues. This is why armor sets for a certain class (medium, heavy, light) tend to be similar. All medium legs are designed to be mix and matched with trenchcoats, but if you wear something like a heavy or light armor skirt/kilt with a trenchcoat the skirt will go right through the trenchcoat and it will look horrible. This is also why the “wear any armor weight on any class” suggestions are very unlikely to happen.
If they made outfits pieces you guys would be complaining that you got yet another trenchcoat for medium, yet another ballerina tu-tu nonsense for light, and some chain mail “skirt” for heavy, because there’s only certain armor designs that are meant to go with each armor weight, unless they start doing it like old MMOs where the armor is just a texture on top of your body, and I’m sure you’ll agree that it wouldn’t be cool.
Making outfits not mixed-and-matchable allows the devs to break these restrictions about what goes with that and give you looks unlike anything you’ve seen for your armor weight. So I hope they never cut outfits in pieces. The real problem with outfits is that they’re sold exclusively in the store, and for a MMO that is supposed to reward with cosmetic, this is the last place I want to get my outfits.
To clarify my point a little. Armor would be armor type specific and then the other would be one that any armor type could use but only one style that they would have to choose. Pirate outfit for example looks the same no matter the race or armor type. They could make armor class pirate suits if they wanted. I know it takes time to make but in the long run maybe make more cash? Maybe they haven’t because their studies show the balance of income to time put in isn’t profitable. So in essence no you wouldn’t be able to mesh a leather coat with heavy pants. That really would look weird anyway
I appreciate everyone’s comments. It seems all of you have at least tried it which is good so the opinion matters. I think it takes a different type of person to PvP and what you get or want to get out of it. I always likes PvP in most games but there were disadvantages because of teams. I like the idea of teams and think ANET should consider adding it back in (I hear there used to be team) but also leave the current queue type. Guild versus Guild would be nice and I will say WvW is not the place for it. Separate area where guilds can smash each other around
Like I said for me it is about rewards first but also learning the mechanics of my two toons I PvP with and how to survive and all. It is not for everyone and I get that.
I think I am done with this thread but I will check on it here and there. I was hoping there was someone like me out there that would respond.
The game follows trickle down balance patches with esports/pvp meta at the top this causes havok in WVW a perma stealth trap laying thief isn’t a threat in pvp they can’t cap or work with the team however it’s rather problematic in WVW but it doesn’t matter cause PVE and WVW don’t get balance patches. to back then.
I disagree here because thieves are problematic in PvP since when you may have played. 1 v 1 for the most part they wreak havoc and can kill fast on some or wreak enough discontent until cap help arrives. I don’t have an opinion on most of the stuff your wrote because I have no history with it. Good input though.

For me, its just I don’t enjoy pvp in the majority of online games. I have a tendency to get extremely frustrated in any form of online pvp type situations so I just avoid it all together.
I usually give the pvp options a fair shot in games I play for the first time, and unless its something that is truly amazing and adictive for me. I usually just stop after a few rounds and never go back.
What got me addicted is losing. That made me want to get better. Made me study videos. I won’t say it is obsessive but just made me focus more. Also I am not stuck on a timer. Gotta be there for reset for Teq or gotta wait 45 minutes for TT to actually start and so on. Jump right in. PvP queue times are less than 3 minutes and WvW is 24 / 7 except for resets. Again to me the loot is what attracted me then the fighting made me stay
(edited by usnedward.9023)
This is just my personal reasons for not doing sPvP and rarely doing WvW:
I don’t like fighting other players. That’s it, really. I’ve never cared for PvP in any game I’ve played; it’s not fun for me, so I don’t do it. So, since sPvP is all fighting against other players, it’s not really my sort of thing. Thus, I avoid it.
Now, I’ve done a fair amount of WvW. I enjoy the PvE aspects of it (killing npcs to take objectives), but, as with sPvP, I do not enjoy fighting other players. If someone comes along and is obviously trying to attack me or someone in my group, then I’ll fight back. But that whole part of it still tends to not be very fun for me. So, I tend to avoid WvW, unless I’m just in a mood to do it or need something from that part of the game.
BUT you tried it too
Maybe more have tried it and don’t like it than I really thought. Maybe I am just one of the rare people that find some enjoyment in it when other MMO games made me wanna smack my momma!
I would say most people that don’t play PvP in this game, also do not play PvP in other games. Other, like myself, just don’t find it fun. I’ve given it a fair chance, and even when doing well, I don’t enjoy it. WvW is worse, but I haven’t had fun with world PvP since before they had BGs in WoW, and people were raiding major cities.
BUT at least you tried. There are others I talk to in game that just won’t try it and that’s their choice and believe me I have been playing this game since release and just tried the PvP and other than some WvW dailies here and there never really got into it until i gave it a FAIR chance like you even though our outcome may be different I believe there are others out there that would enjoy it if they gave it the fair chance you did. You don’t like it and that is fine but at least you tried it
You may have missed the recent addition of Unstable Rag, Unstable Metal Chunk and Unstable Hide. All available in the newer L80 maps.
Good luck.
A minor workaround that barely admits there is an issue is not a solution.
There are the nodes in guild halls and WvW maps. WvW maps these are repeatable. So I see they are trying.
You buy an outfit and can switch to it anytime with the only option is to hide head and I think shoulders. Cons to that is what people have stated here is you cannot be creative and select part of the outfit and then something else. Outfits can be used on any armor type of profession.
As an armor set they are generally more in terms of Gems to buy and used once. Want to use again you need to use a transmutation charge. This could raise income. OH and armor sets are specific to armor type of toon. Again money in the bank if you want for all armor types, especially the collectors.
So…yes why is that ANET? Seems to me losing money but then again not your accountant. :P
First off I put this topic here because hardcore PvEr’s wouldn’t see it in PvP or WvW forum.
In PvE people play for content and rewards right? Well I am a “casual” player and that term’s definition depends on the person. To me a casual player is one who gets in game does what he or she can but doesn’t necessarily get into raids or dungeons because time in my case doesn’t allow for dedication to run raids or upper tier dungeons. So for me to achieve the type of loot that these can generate is not always possible.
PvE is also static IMO which means every fight is the same though I understand Fractals other content may scale differently it is always the same. Teq, Shatterer, Wurm, dungeons, raids and what have you are always the same. Timers at certain points things happen but always the same with the only difference of outcome is completion.
Since I started really getting into WvW then introduced to PvP and season by new PvP guild I joined I have found so much more in regards to scenarios and loot via reward tracks. Every fight IS different because every player is different and no two groups are ever the same in play style and the loot track allows me to get shinies that I normally wouldn’t get. I am also focused on learning more about my profession and mechanics of each trait or weapon than I used to be.
As for my “casual” style I can easily do a 1, 2 or as many PvP matches as I want all while gaining rewards. I can walk away at anytime and come back and do more. WvW I can hook up with a tag, a roaming few and though the point is to capture the fights are different and once again the reward track gets me stuff I would never get in PvE. Also the same goes is I can leave WvW at any time and come back later and not have to worry “did I just bone the group?”.
I think if more people tried and researched as I have then there would be more in PvP competition and WvW could fill every map instead of piddle paddle with only one map on queue.
I don’t want to take anything away from PvE because I still do the world bosses and other content but the PvP and WvW options offer a lot more than what people think. Yes there are the elitists and hate spewers but really is rarer than I thought and definitely more rare than what I have found in past MMOs.
Just my thoughts
EDIT: mistypes
(edited by usnedward.9023)
Being a ranger at heart in a few different MMO’s I really enjoyed watch that video. Gives me hope!
As a roamer I choose another profession because of my power build in WvW but when I start pairing up with 1, 2 or more and I can hold my own. Traps are the bigger benefits, drop roll back and fire away. 1v1 Yeah it is difficult but again I roam with a high damage more viable 1v1 toon.
I don’t like the idea. I fight until the end. If you stand there then that’s your fault. I hate afk’rs middle of the match. I have had matches where we have come back and won 500 to 49×.
Support your team til the bitter end. NOW what to do when you are down 400 to 35 (yes 35) like one match the other night? Fight till the better end. I was shown more respect at my last capture where the two opposing players sat down and let me get some points when they clearly could have owned me. Maybe they felt sorry but we joked until the final point was scored.
I have to disagree with OP due to my ranger build. A lot of toughness built in and survival is MUCH better when facing hard damage. I can break stun, heal and get back in the fight with 1/2 to 3/4 health until help arrives. Without the toughness I am lucky to if 6 gets cast before death.
hmm swapping toons before the match starts sometimes saves it. If the swapping persons know what to do at all.
And usually you should be the mid support (if you run a druid build) but I might have misunderstood your sentence and you meant that no one else but you is might.
Then I would simply go far or stay close to defend it.
If your team is fighting out of points – tell them. Won’t really help but it’s worth a try
I am running meta power / sniper build. I modified a couple traits that benefit me. As long as I have one other with me we do fairly well to hold or capture a point. It seems there is always one in the group (and I have been guilty of it) where they run to a point because it is open only to die before capture is complete.
It is however the match making that gets me boned most of the time it seems. Again the switching of toons but I see why now people are doing it. Personally though again for me I am having fun. I know I will not be God of PvP in the end, yes I am there for some asc gear but I am not there in ranked to just play ranked for shinies. I want to win, I would love to have one of the awesome titles and even ask what the plan is. The plan just doesn’t work ll the time.
BRB… going to make a warrior and guard… Nah I would suck at that too. In all honesty range helps deal with these builds from what I can see in my matches. Problem is sometimes i get to close then BAM! dirt nap.
When one build gets nerfed another rises there will always be some OP to certain builds. For instance I can take thieves out on ranger but not so much on Necro. My Necro can burn down Warriors and Guards when rotating correctly though they are tough.
Just my input.. PS Mesmers hurt me
Appreciate the insight from both of you. It helps to better understand where I am going in the PvP. I don’t worry too much about the whiners and most of the time i will just reply “yeah I suck…sorry” but for some reason that eggs them on…lol. I don’t let these people break me as I am having a great time. I am hearing there is not a big PvP population so this may be why matchmaking seems to fail sometimes.
Trudging on towards silver once again after having ripped from my phalanges
It is brutal out here in PvP for a pimp. :P
Seriously though I play two professions Necro and Ranger. I am new to PvP and enjoy it immensely. I have watched videos, I have meta builds that work for me, I know my rotation. I go where I am told if I am not stun locked. But there is always someone it seems we all suck and he/she is the god. Few matches ago I was called the worst “hunter” (thought I was a ranger)by someone who had no kills and no top stats at end to my top offense and my 5 kills.
However there is something going on when I was almost top tier silver now back to top tier bronze. 46 games ranked played 17 wins. That seems terrible. Some matches I die once and sometimes just completely trapped to death by guards. Thieves I can take 1 v 1 most of the time. Fighting on point hard for ranged. GO MIDDLE! I get there and no support. One thing I have watched is people swapping toons before match. I will say I dislike that option. Throws off matching maybe?
It’s hard out here. Rant complete but hopefully someone can add insight. A few of those losses was my failed attempt at Mesmer..yuck..no ty.
Even though I started late in season I think many have their just rewards and now roll whatever toon to try it out or troll with. Tonight I was in a few matches and two of them were 3 or 4 Engineers.
the only reward is the asc gear and you can get the shards in around 50 games or so, should be possible in a month dont ya think?
also rewards can be gathered through next seasons aswell, so your argument that you got no time to get rewards is pretty weak
Of course that is your opinion since you do not live in my household or know my schedule. Point is what is good for you or me or anyone else is not good for everyone. Not really here to start an argument. You asked opinion…did not like opinion. Not my fault
I work, have a family and so on so time is of the essence. Shorten it and I may not get all the rewards. Already pushing it because I got in late so now even more pressure to win out the reward system and try to get to gold. Though I agree time between seasons is pretty long but it has to be developed which cannot happen overnight.
Welcome to sPvP,
A couple of tips :
learn your role, what you have to do as a <insert profession> in a team
look at the map to perform your role the best (you don’t want to 1v1 if you are in a
support role)
try to optimize your build to your role
practise
learn what you can do and what you can’t do, staying alive is better than dying so don’t try to hold points 1v3 or duel people that rekted you just before
try to communicate with teammates
practise
ask questions in chat, look vids/stream
stay cool
practiseGood luck in the Mists
Good advice especially the practice. I
learned if you wreck me…i am staying far from you. Too many times I see people (especially unranked) go search them out to try and prove a point and I will just sit there and watch because really why not wait for back up? He/She wrecked you and then coming for me… I’ll pass.
Thanks for the replies. I have had a great experience with the veterans especially in unranked. “Don’t know what you’re doing please ask” or “If you are new speak up” but then there are also “all of you suck” people out there as well…. troll on soldiers :P
Keep the post updated what you find
I’ve been reading that, was interesting to see “Profession ratings” in the mix as I had no idea that professions contributed to match making…..
I am still a little clueless of the profession scenarios. One thing I read is that it tries to match up professions but when I go into a match and see I am up against 4 guards and a thief or something very similar I know we are doomed. Again though people de-queue or what have you then the match making becomes broken. There is a post out there where a Dev said they are trying to fix it at some point but we’ll see.
IMO people want to win every match and that just isn’t going to happen. There are Leets out there and I use in a good way because they are very good at their rotation and anticipation that they are going to have good win/lose ratios. I am no young whipper snapper so my fingers travel only so fast across the keyboard but I am getting better and this is where I think the problem lays. the whole “get gud” term works in many cases. Some people are there only for rewards, some like myself and you apparently are trying to “get gud” but the system can falter us sometimes.
It amazes me how so many think the system is broken and I will agree it needs fine tuning, but in the long run ANET cannot weed out bad players or players who are there for less than prestige and only goodies. PvP caters to all and we have to live with that.
EDIT: I so broke the quote thingy lol
I would refer you here for explanation.

THOUGH if someone leaves a match prior to start matchmaking does NOT occur again.
