Did the Aetherblade fractal got buffed, guys, any observations? Today for the first time ever I got 11 agony stacks in level 29. I’m quite sure I’ve never seen more than 4 stacks.
My record was 13 or so stacks, it can happen if you get hit stupidly by the walls.
Ah, I see. Yea, I think I got pulled through a few walls and then they went through me again. Thanks, mate.
Yep, that was it. Even worse in the last phase when you get hit by both the small and big wall at the same time.
Yea, it was exactly during the last phase.

Plus: I still get nervous everytime I am in a group with Lilith because sooner or later she will invite some forum legend and I just know I will screw up badly and make a fool of myself. sigh
I know, right….
Seconded/Thirded.
Fourthed/Fifthed.
So, as maybe every other player I was impatient to see the new Living Story. I got into Dry Top super excited to check out everything new.
My first disappointment was the extremely ugly loading screen art. I don’t know why you didn’t actually invest some time in making the very first impression a bit better.
The surroundings on the new map are great! I liked them, for me it’s definitely something different … until I found out that I have to use to crystals in order to reach anything. I personally am not a great fan of the jumping puzzles but I don’t think that you should have made the whole Living Story a jumping puzzle … with crystals. Don’t forget the crystals.
The other thing for me is that the map makes me feel very lost. I somehow managed to get to the jumping puzzle that gets you to the diving location but once on top I didn’t know in which direction to jump! My jump eventually ended up on a plank a few seconds later and for 30 minutes now I’m trying to figure out a way to get back to that place which is slowly turning into frustration…
On the story itself I’m yet to comment but I noticed a few places where you can fall down and the only way to get back up (and the place where I fell had the height of my own hero) is to suicide after which the NPCs bugged on that spot and never moved again.
Speaking of frac runs
That one with Lillith was far from great^^:
Level 11, Swamp, Molten, Dredge, should be fine rite.
Then, I: DC DC DC DC DC DC DC DC DIE DC DC DIE DIE DIE DC DIE
and get carried to boss fractal, Mai Trin, wonderful
I proceed to diediediediedie and kitten everything up.
Eventually get carried to victory…Fractal dagger drop.
Lulz.

I saw your warr in front of Arah the other day, Miku, she looks like a 16 years old cutie. c:
I finally needed a good substitute for my PTV gear. Thanks, ANet, now I can get carried even more efficiently!
Maybe she was buffed so that the new gear can be put to use.
Is there a way to drastically lower the amount of spell effects that are displayed? Having a hard time reading tells when the boss is covered in guardian’s burning or other such thing and my mouse isn’t directly over it.
Other than the “Effect LOD” tick under Options → Graphics, I don’t think so
The bingo is strong with this sub-forum nowadays.
I saw a stream a week or so ago where it appeared the team was able to go back into the hallway and avoid all the barrages.
I do that all the time, too lazy.
Hello ladies and gentlemen,
Tonight we’re gonna have a lesson in how to use Feedback properly as a mesmer. Here with me is sir deSade, well known among the Elitist (scrub) society in Guild Wars 2. Today, this good sir was kind enough to explain us, and show us in practice, how Feedback works. After some training out in the open he figured out that it’d be best to take us to a place where we can see Feedback in its glory.
We arrived in Arah and after some running we were finally on our destination. Needless to say that one could feel the pressure in the air, it was a tense moment for all of us. We all focused, casting time was already halfway through and then ta-da! The divine Feedback was there, bathing us in its beautiful shine, it was just .. so beautiful.

Mesmers OP confirmed, nerf plz.
Good job btw C:
Remember to always kick the ranger before the guardian.
Also, I once got carried through HotW pt1 by a necro, beat that.
Method 4: You’re being a scrub like me and don’t go through the cannon phase at all?
Gratz to SC for winning the tourney, well deserved, guys! And GG to every team that took part in this, as unbelievable as it was, the PvE tourney indeed happened and it seems that many people enjoyed it. Looking forward to the next one!
I’d have joined if it was Twilight.

I can’t comment on LuPi’s request from DnT, but if what you say is true, I’d agree that it’s probably not the brightest decision from their side. This still doesn’t change my position that I stated on the posts above though.
I haven’t put anyone’s work that has been done for the realization of this tournament under question. In fact I give out huge kudos to everyone who participated in making this true and I myself am looking forward the tournament impatiently. I do however not agree how Tree put out his post towards the LuPi guild on the previous page and I believe that as someone who will be watching this tournament I have the right to express my frustration with it.
Well, in my honest opinion, if you undertake the responsibility of organizing such a big cross-guild/servers/continents event, then you, want it or not, are bound to be political up to some point. If you can’t do that then you should leave that task to someone who can keep his tongue behind his teeth for such irate remarks.
And if their decision to leave the tournament in a manner that might be classified as “pathetic and shameful” then the counter-reaction from you on this thread is just as bad, if not worse.
Too bad to see a team go so early but I must admit that I strongly disagree and I’m disappointed with the naming and shaming. Pushing the teams to meet the rules and all that is one but such an outrageous reaction in public, especially since you’re one of the people behind the tournament, is just childish and stupid.
Lie dead on the floor.
Should I add you? O.o
Yes, yes, add me, yes. c:
I should be available for the last two EU fractals in case you need a spotfiller.
Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiingggggg….
Wait, this was actually quite good, man!
As a Tequatl commander myself, who in most of the Tequatl kills gets flawless defence, I can share a few bits of personal experience:
- People very rarely listen to other players who don’t have that blue thingy above their head. Your best shot would be to whisper the most communicative commander on the map and tell him your request. There are great chances that people will actually listen;
- Tequatl isn’t an event that one man can change, sadly. I’m an AH build guardian I can facetank a kittenload of stuff but I get downed by the mobs spawning at defence sites if I’m alone there;
- Another thing is that even if 4 commanders isn’t necessary, it is advisable. You can’t expect that 1-2-3 people can constantly run forward and back and make sure that all turrets are manned and defence squads are on their positions;
- Last, but not least, it’s down to a small portion of luck. You will sooner or later get it.
Have fun and good luck!
If only there was a site with enemy attacks listed.
Quite sure this could be classified as an exploit.
Get used to it. People don’t do the dungeon cause they enjoy it. They do it just for the gold behind it.
You will run, skip and spam 1 on white globes full of colored light that hides 5 players and a boss in it.
I’m not even sure why people like you keep commenting. It’s obvious that you guys don’t understand that not everyone plays for the same reasons and not everyone takes the game as a “MUST STRUGGLE FOR GOLDZ!44!!” and actually play it because they enjoy it.
Because its not the experience you get in game. More than 50% of the times, as soon as ANYTHING goes wrong or is not in the right amount of speed, people starts leaving the party or suggesting kick to the guy who took the wrong way or is playing with a different weap/skill set. I really don’t get the feeling people enjoying the dungeon. Actually, its hard to see that when most champions inside dungeons are just ignored.
I really wish what you say is true, but it only applies to a minority, at least at the time I’m on.

It’s “nab”, get your sources right.
What else could you do when your opener goes afk for 30 mins and you’re an asura?

4 pages of unstoppable bingo!!
Cotser, you scrub, signet ele best ele =P
Not completely sure but I think they still go through Swirling Winds.
Morale of the story: Don’t pug next time. Better wait for some tiny asura to go in there with you :-p .
I shall always keep this in mind. :P
But you can run around them without getting aggro, no? And even if they get the aggro on you, you can still dodge and then jump on the wall and wait to get out of combat.
Sometimes Hodgins decided “lol attack da oozes” so you can’t spawn the WP… Happened today among various other problems in my morning PuG run
I see, never happened to me before.
Decided to pug AC pt1 today. Everything was going fine, killed the spider queen with no downed players and when we stacked for the gravelings in the corridor, one of the guys asked us to stack (although we were all there already) so all I wrote in chat was “yolo”.
We continued forward, perfectly flawless run when one of the fellas was saying to the other player that his warrior should have been charr instead of norn and all that so I decided to note that charrs are fluffy kitties. We went on towards the scepter pieces phase and this guy suddenly called me a troll for some reason o.o"
Turned out there’s a way not to spawn the oozes in that phase and spawning them seem to have been a great problem … why, however, I’m still trying to figure out.
Hey, I thought I’m taken by his guard? Boo!
Pretty sure he has dozens of ladies. Dozens.

Hey, I thought I’m taken by his guard? Boo!
Can I marry your EU ele?
It does, yea, you should hope for fractals with more NPCs in them, I generally get them either on the Ascalon fractal, Aetherblade or the Molten Facility.
A guildie got the fractal sword skin at level 19 last night, I didn’t even know it’s possible to get the skins before level 20. Long live ignorance!
Apart from that I haven’t got anything good in the last few days. :C
I’m running full exotic with 3 zerk/3 ptv pieces with runes of the pack and I feel kind of satisfied with my dmg output at this point. I usually have hard time keeping my hp full/very high with the D/F so from my point of view, the exotic zerk gear with runes of strength would be nice.
Edit: Not to mention that you’d probably be able to keep up perma might laik a baws an ele
Moderator, wat r u doin’, moderator, stahp!
Is this real?
So close, yet so far.
I got the axe skin right on my first level 20 fractal. It’s all down to RNG it seems
Oh, don’t know why I decided that someone from the rest got the answers right. Okay, lets try this then
Whoa, this is actually much harder once you start thinking about it…
1. Don’t think I’ve seen one in Ascalon, might be in there but I haven’t paid attention to it;
2. Definitely haven’t seen one on the Blizzard level, so I’d say this one doesn’t exist;
3. The Jellyfish fractal but still on the phase where you have to free the prisoners;
4. Cliffside;
5. Veteran Inquest Assassin in the Aetherblade path, he usually uses stealth a bit after you speak with Frizz;
6. I admit I had to google what they look like but once I saw the photo I know you can find them on that weapon testing fractal.
Wupwup for newbish answers! Would be happy if I got at least 2 of them right.
