As far as I know, Rune of Hoelbrak is the cheaper alternative of the Rune of Strength.
I like Rune of the Pact and in fact I use them on all my 4 characters, I’d say it’s a decent damage modifier, not as good as Strength but for the price it’s worth it imo.
Well, I highly doubt I’m skilled for such a tournament but if any of the teams out there need a spotfiller, I can do.
Background info:
– I’m bad at this game;
– I main an ele.
So, we were doing Arah pt2 with guildies and 1 random today. At the beginning, we were all very lost since no one of us was really experienced in Arah and I’ve did it only once but the other way around
Somehow we managed to get to the point where I’m familiar with the dungeon and we proceed forward as I try to recall what exactly the party did in the previous run and repeat it. Got to Lupi and even though we all felt unprepared to melee him, I insisted on doing it that way. Halfway through phase 3 (pretty much right after we started) I tried to focus on Lupi and his mechanics and see when to dodge and all that but I also noticed that party chat was getting pretty active.
I stopped paying attention to Lupi and started reading chat, seeing that the random guy was saying that he just noticed we’re a guild and threaten us saying that he will put us on some kitten black list if we kick him at the end. To be honest, I was quite shocked by that at first and even got a bit kittened off that someone thought that we might do such a kitten thing and kick him at the end.
As every not very experienced party, we wiped a few time throughout the dungeon but once I got to the point that I’m familiar with, it was easier since we actually knew what to do. Not to mention the help from a friend in rT that was answering all my questions when in doubt via whispers.
Got to the last boss, finished him off, the fella apologized and thanked us for the run and then left the party.
TL;DR: I was reading a post yesterday about a few guild members kicking out pugz from fractals run so I assume it’s not THAT rare to happen and it might actually be worth it to keep an eye on the guild name and tag.
I do enjoy the content. However, when I play my ele, I also do enjoy providing boons and might to my whole party. Sadly, those have the miserable range of …. 300? Not sure completely, and if you’re a few steps away from me you get nothing.
As an Altruistic Healing guardian, I also do enjoy when I provide perma protection to my allies. Sadly, this doesn’t work if you’re not stacked on me or in the symbol.
As a thief, I rarely stack since I’m glasscannon backstab build and I like big numbers on my screen but you get the idea.
Skipping the fun/challenging content in my opinion would more likely be the trash mobs skips rather than stacking.
I have never even been close to failing Tequatl, I still find it hard to realize why people are saying he’s strong. As I’ve posted on another thread a few weeks earlier – stop trying to get to him 5 minutes before it spawn. It won’t work.
Good job, man!

Wishing your daughter a speedy recovery, Rasi! And yes, I’m supposed to be working myself, but oh hey, it’s fun here :P
I beg to differ on the aggro, especially in TA since I run it on daily basis. The aggro remains on the first person, that’s why I usually always run as second a few meters away from the first one. This way he gets the aggro on him and if he’s gone left, then I go right and I never have problems with it. It is very rare for me to get downed in TA when I play my ele and I’m not even using Mist Form, Blink and Armour of Earth.
In Arah however, it’s different, I get downed instantly by the illusionists crap c:
Emanuel, here, have all my cakes.
Are you kittening kidding me
Form a party and on the LFG tool state that you will switch at last boss. Then ask someone in the party to open the instance in case they haven’t done it. Depending on your group DPS, switch either before the boss on someway through it to your lower level character that is already stationed on the same map. You will get the invite to join your party in the dungeon, accept and just /dance until they kill the champ … or wipe.
Wupwup! I agree soloing is fun c: So far I’ve only managed to solo AC story as well, but as an elementalist, and to be honest I had the very same problem – Vassar and Ralena … not to mention my failure to realize that I’m not on my guardian and rushing yolo-style into the mobs isn’t healthy.
Tried TA story as well, but the very first spider champion totally wrecked me. Let us know how it goes for you!
5k+ AP thief. Was bad as my first day on guild wars. sigh
Edit: We were in SE story mode and I had to switch from my lowbie warr to my ele so we can make it through.
inb4 Locking this one because we have a feedback thread here …
I’m quite sure there was a thread about this a while ago but I still haven’t had a sip from my coffee so I’m too lazy to look for it. But yea, the solution to your problem is pretty much dodge and run.
Hi, just wanted to let you know of mine and Nosferatu’s unofficial fashion victory. Even Tequatl couldn’t stand how awesome we were and died a bit after landing.

Oh, you, Gab! /slaps
Haha, quite good screens and stories to them
Whoever came up with the idea of putting a wallpaper as a background image has some kittened decision making skills.
July 2nd, save the date.
It’s mah birthday, Lucas, I share cake! <3
Lilith, the new screens of your tiny azura are adorable.
Report and block, boys, report and block.
/thread.
Uhm, no.
/15shadesofdenial
shares cake with Lilith
Shh, it’s okay, it’s okay.
Don’t forget that you can always see the server names you are competing against. You can then guest to those servers to get the POI’s.
You’re always bound to your server when you WvW?
^ I think Iris came up with a few good suggestions. Still, it’d be an interesting project put to action.
Interesting survey: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/community/links/Research-about-MMO-players-and-avatars/first#post4110858
I felt a little uncomfortable with some of the questions. Seemed very weird. But it’s for science I guess.
I got a few pages in the survey until we got to the “This avatar and I” thingy and I closed the page. I feel more like being interviewed for a mental hospital rather than being questioned as a gamer.
Probably those questions would make much more sense to the RPers out there but for me a big part of them are unrelated to my GW2 experience.
I think that the 1g + 40 tokes reward chest in per path per day per account. I think only the experience chest is not daily, not completely sure though.
Well since you can’t get it as a drop … buy it?
Haha, good tip there, mate. I have my periods when I get bored of being 80 now and then. General reason for that is that I’m currently leveling my fifth 80 character in less than my 70 days /age.
Running dungeons all over again and generally doing the same things could get tedious but then I had the same thought and now I’m aiming at not only 1, but 2 leggies
Good luck with the crafting!
Exactly! isnt it great?
Shinies, yes, yes. C:

In my opinion, the FGS is one of those things that are right and wrong at the same time, it just depends on the point of view:
It is right because it works as expected: The trail left behind does damage therefore if you concentrate the trail in a small area, it will stack the damage;
However, one could say that no one really expected it to be used in such a way.
Plus there aren’t really that many dungeons in which you could use the “exploit”.
Not sure if this could be classified as /bingo?
So I was doing some story mode solos just now, and came across probably the if not one of the most beautiful parts of the game in TA story – it’s also pretty kitten great to solo because absolutely everything is meleeable but you can’t just smash your head on your keyboard and roll everything because all of the mobs have mechanics you need to play around.
I got to the final part with the destiny’s edge illusions and got a bit sad when Faolain just respawned them after they died though so I wasn’t able to finish
The story modes in general are pretty nice and well done. It’s not been once or twice when I’ve been getting shivers while listening to the dialogue.
On the other hand, I never managed to get through the first spider in TA story. =/
Can I sign up if you form an EU party? o:
I usually do AC pt1, pt3, TA up and fwd, CoF full run and I’m looking forward to learning the rest of the paths so that I can include them to the runs. We did SE pt1 yesterday and it seems super easy so it’s probably worth it too. C:
Kudos for the try though! Wish I was online at the time :C
IMO, the last thing you want to pug is Caudecus Manor path 2.
We’re still in the low level fracatals. Sorry that you’ve been disappointed, Ras. :c
I delete them if I don’t like them.
I’m back on this thread, leveling a new character at the moment and I want to express that I’m still very disappointed by the new traits system. As many before me have stated, the new trait system does not only make your character weaker, but also makes it very frustrating to unlock traits, to experiment around with your build or to change it accordingly to the situation. At times, those few points that you could get in one trait line or another could be game changing during leveling. Now, it’s just grind all the way to 80 without even thinking for your traits, it kills the pleasure of actually thinking where it’d be good to allocate a few points and where not.
I’ve landed ~22k backstab hit from stealth on the Weapon Master in the Molten Facility fractal. That’s with exotic full zerk gear and green/blue trickets, around 5-6 stacks of might and 7-8 stacks of vulnerability on him.
Edit: Glass cannon build thief.
Iris and Waisenpai, I adore your eles! :o
Xandrian, 8/10, looks quite manly for an ele, I like the look although I’m super bad at male characters, haha.
Meet Luna.
God Spoj, teach me.
OP, you obviously have no idea of the amazing team composition that comes true only when you have an engineer, a necromancer and a ranger in your party.
Well, to be fair – they did ask for specific class so I wouldn’t be surprised they kicked you out mindlessly without even checking up on you, can’t blame them.
Apart from that, if they probably knew who are you or more like which is your guild, since I don’t know you in person, I’m sure they’d have definitely loved to have you on their party.
Anyway, back to farming AP so that I can finally get into a dungeon that I did like 100 times before.
LOL @ the meme at the end of the video.
Uhm, did you try Edge of the Mists or Eternal Battlegrounds? I’d say there’s quite a bit of difference between both.
