It definitely counts when the half of your DPS group at Tequatl is dead and you can’t get to the downed players because someone is being a lazy butt and doesn’t use the waypoint back.

For a few minutes now my client can’t manage to connect to the login server when loading a character. My account logs on just fine and I get to the character selection screen without any delay whatsoever, but once I try to log on one of my characters (all currently position in LA) I get a message saying that no connection could be established.

EU, Seafarer’s Rest here, does anyone else out there have a problem at the moment?

Okay, so what I need an advice with is that I want to change my Ele look a little bit. She’s named Luna so my aim for her is to be looking like kind of demigod. I really, really like the Phoenix set, or at least some pieces of it. Problem is I can’t find suitable leggings to fit the Phoenix chest. The feathered one look good, but it seems as if they lack something. Tried to preview the Sorcerer’s but they don’t look that good in white. And yes, I’d like to keep the white colour if possible.

First attachment is her current look – The Radiant gloves fit very well with the TA chest.

I came here at release. And the community THEN was super-friendly, and helpful. The Megaserver. Now … the community is toxic, maybe because a Lot of the trolls from other servers are spending their time trolling the trolls from other servers.

There is NOT a day , that the map chant conversations do not remind me of barrens chat or LoIO chat. ( EverQuest Reference).

The irony is, I went to Barrens Just the other day…everyone was friendly, and helpful.

Yes, I do mean the same community and since the train is dead for a while now, I don’t see why you should dig in the past.

The trolls on every server will remain a minority, you can’t judge the whole community based on a few people.

Some of us have older rigs, in my last MMO, they had mounts and apart from the fact that those were bloody expensive, I could hardly get into the capital city without dropping down to 5-6 fps.

We have waypoints, swiftness buffs and no map is really that big that you can’t run from one side to the other in 2-3 mins.

Never really had problems with the NPC bugging because of stealth so I’d be leaning to the one-time-bug.

I recalled a moment that I had a week ago that left me astonished and in awe of the brilliant mind of the developers in ArenaNet. I want to give huge kudos to whoever came up with that idea. What happened is this:

I was about to do an Arah run on my new warrior character that still didn’t have Orr explored. So I was running all the way to Cursed Shore obviously, I was in Bloodtide Coast heading South to Sparkfly Fen. I was nearly at the waypoint that leads to Sparkfly Fen when suddenly I heard a voice behind me saying something similar to:

“We’re sending you to hell to greet your friend Tybalt”

Note: My warrior is part of the Order of Whispers and had the Battle of Claw Island story quest completed.

I felt chills and turned around to see a Risen behind me. An event started to kill the Risen Captain(?). I did it easily but I froze in one place after his dead corpse fell in front of me. My mind was blown by the genius design of the game that tracks your personal progress and spawns an event based on and related to it.

I felt haunted. Although I’ve pretty much forgotten my personal story, it didn’t forget me. It was still there, constantly reminding me of its shadowy existence.

I know this might be really simple to achieve by just adding a few additional lines of code, but I don’t think that people should point this out. I think we should appreciate the fact that someone came up with the idea and implemented it.

Small things like this make the game extremely beautiful, although I still feel haunted now that I recalled what happened.

Kudos, developers, thank you for the experience.

I can’t understand why so many people are bashing the GW2 community saying it’s bad and all that. Looks like that you’ve actually spent so much time on here that you forgot how much worse the community is on other video games.

I came to GW2 from Dota 2 and CS:GO and the one thing that made me feel addicted to this game right on my second day around was the extremely friendly community around. And day after day I still meet friendly people or people who note that the community here is super friendly.

Maybe if you get off the General Discussions forums, where everyone pretty much only cries and complains, for a few days and get down on the game you might realize what an awesome community we have here.

Anyway, back on topic:

Best: GW2 in general, music, beauty of the game;
Worst: Traits system as it is at the moment.

I think that the “stop getting rings after 30” was just an example o: Well, if not, it sounded like one. To be fair, from my experience so far, it should even be after 20. I have 4 characters, my fractal reward level is 21 and I already have 8 rings + I’ve sold like 4 so far because I didn’t need them.

Anyway, I think we should all enjoy some cake, ladies and gents! c:

I second pdavis’ and Shinki’s posts on here. I used to get my rings with the pristine fractal relics and I got a few this way, nowadays however I’m aiming at getting the last fractal capacitor skin (while still in need of 1-2 particular rings) so I use my pristine relics on it.

Of course, I highly doubt I’d need any rings after level 39 though.

Last night I felt like playing my warrior so I instead managed to solo TA up on her. Was super happy until 1 hour later when we got into fractals and I got Rasi on the party just to fail big time. sigh

As a person who does Tequatl almost daily I’d say that it’s going to be the same. In my observation, the map was usually getting filled up with people after Karka Queen – which means that people were already there, and yes, you usually get many people at Karka.

Is it convenient? Maybe, maybe not, depends on personal schedule. But then again, 2 months ago people were crying about the schedule, now other people would probably complain about this one. You can’t please everyone.

Your friendly, cake and coffee loving, ignorant newbie here! I was wondering if I could create a thread on which veterans that solo dungeons could help newbies like me and others with tips and could probably answer our questions.

I went a few pages back and didn’t manage to find such a thread, feel free to link it in case I missed it, and I also didn’t want to hijack Rage’s “Soloing Dungeons is fun” thread.

Okay, allow me to start off. My main character is an ele, you can see my build here:

The accessories that I currently have are crappy, that’s why I haven’t added them to the build, it won’t make much of a difference. Also disregard the amulet, it’s from my guard only because I needed to put something there. I will be going for zerk one soon and I currently have a few friends crafting the bolts of damask for the back item.

So far I’ve managed to only solo AC story and the vine champion in TA explorable and here comes my problem – I decided to go up since I find the path to be far more easier than forward, however my biggest problem as an ele seem to be the groups of mobs. I wiped a few times during the first few groups near Marlona until I got to those spiders that paralyze you. I spend like 30 minutes trying out different utility combinations but still didn’t manage to take that particular bug down. Do you have any tips on what might be a good strategy to use against those?
