I straight up just read the GW2 twitter feed and all the news posts on the main website. And watch the Points of Interest streams.

I’ve been doing so for months, and that’s where I got aaaaaaaaaall my information.

There’s a communication problem here on Arenanet’s end. I’d love it if they’d put All That Stuff I Mentioned into a single rap sheet of features that we can easily browse, but instead you gotta sift through months of news and videos.

and yet not a single link proving anything.

Relax people, if you find it too expensive just don’t buy it.

I find it expensive but not to a point where I would not buy it considering it’s pretty much the only game I play. I have high expectations however for 50$.

Is not expensive nor cheap, I want more information about the content of the game before I can go blindly and spent my hard earned money on something I have no knowledge of.

Are players finally going to be able to craft precursors with this expansion? I have materials to make 3 legendary but I can’t because of RNG and I refuse to buy them.

I just can’t believe they took more than 3 years to come up with an expansion like this one, so little content. Other games normally takes what? 6-8 months? and in top of all this I still don’t see anything about precursors.

The core game would be having a character. You need the core game. This is why it’s included.

then what you are saying here, is you cannot buy an expansion or an upgrade to your xbox.
they are in fact selling the new Xbox to you, not an upgrade.

and then the other problem with your analogy is that they actually do sell your the parts. they dont give you a new Xbox.

so the third part goes like this
fine, so give me a new Xbox, ill give my old one to my friend, or maybe ill put in the gameroom.
Sorry if you already own the Xbox, you must buy the xbox parts at the cost of the new xbox in order to make use of your xbox live account and games.

You are comparing hardware with software, buying a new Xbox with more features means hardware upgrades, totally different of buying ADD-ON for software, for god sake you even listen to yourself before posting?

The core game would be having a character. You need the core game. This is why it’s included.

I meant for veterans, I already own the core game and been playing since beta. That is the whole point of “why” buy the core game again and btw that Xbox analogy is just plain stupid and does not compared with what is been discussed here.

ANET I hope you better come up with the most amazing expansion ever, so far you have disappointed all your community with you balanced fixes, and now you expecting us to pay $49.99 for an expansion like it is a whole new game.

Sadly ANET decided to nerf warrior to the ground, trait line, skills, healing etc. Now warrior is a free kill if you are not running shoutbow.

Well I think the need more communication between them, this is a royal mess and a lot people are confused (including me), I ’m already thinking on playing my Ele and leave my warrior rotting until they pull their heads out of their kitten and hear the community.

For everyone saying no class should be this strong in downstate, well no class should be able to revive themselves through use of a pet but then you have rangers. It’s a downstate form people, learn to deal with it. I would much much much rather have a mist form like elementalists or a port and stealth like a thief but no I have strong damage while in downstate, DEAL WITH IT.

Seriously? do you know how long does it takes a pet to revive? or to stand as a warrior? That Necro in the video killed a GUARD, yes a GUARD with more than 50% health in less than 3 secs. That is what we talking about here, DEAL WITH IT.

To OP: yes, ranger’s downed state is extremely strong. It’s intended, since rangers tend to spend most of their time in that state

I’m still trying to understand why people believe HS is the culprit, warriors healing comes from 3 different sources if traited, HS by itself sucks big time at 350/per tick, but combine with the traits makes what you believe is to be OP., but wait those traits works on Adrenaline!. So no adrenaline no healing and with the last nerf is very difficult to maintain the adrenaline bar at 100%. In other words the HUGE adrenaline nerf in the last patch also affected our passive healing.
Please get that through your head and stop creating threads about HS.

RF is essentially former eviscerate spam.

It was too hard for players to counter evisc, why should they be expected to counter a long range burst that can be used every 8 seconds, whether or not they have filled a meter?

No, adrenaline and burst skills were normalized by putting the skill on it’s full cooldown regardless of whether it lands or was missed, just like every other burst mechanic in the game.

You’re comparing apples to oranges with extreme bias, and imo people are wasting their time debating balance with you.

you seem to be misunderstanding the simplicity of my argument.

Nothing has changed for skill cooldown, regarding warriors. The difficulty of landing the skill has simply been increased a couple of times. My argument is merely “if evading a close range spike (tells notwithstanding) every 7 seconds was too difficult for players, why would it be expected that a long range spike every 8 seconds would be completely tolerable?”

I am not placing focus on mechanics here. obviously the skills both have very different prerequisites, but the majority of complaints focused on evisc was how quickly and how heavily it hit, with very little concern given to how much time it took to fill the adren bar.

Are you seriously comparing Evicerate with RF? This is hilarious!!

They should increase the damage of the final strike on hundred blades by 10%, add a 5 second timer before adrenaline starts decaying, and put the decay rate at exactly what it was before.

I’d be fine with that. They should also keep the adrenaline loss on burst usage regardless of hit/miss, I think that’s a reasonable change.

I don’t get affected by the nerf at all, I run condi S/S-LB 0-3-6-2-3 build with Orr rune and Rabbit amulet and is working wonderful. Savage leap-leg specialist-flurry job done.

well if you people want a Fresh out look on the game, I’d say this the Meta is Dictated by the people and build composition of a group of players, if your happy Seeing All Melee for onther 2 years Be my guest but this Free kill Nonsance Isn’t going to improve things as it Reflects a light of Negative views on these Changes that Are happening to make Yes make Rangers Easier to Learn , So we can change this All Melee meta thats been running for Donkey years .

if being bored of running the same things day in day out is what this game is going to be like , i’d rather push for change and that Includes the Term Free kill , because this term enlights that this class isn’t worth taking (and people tend to not look any ferther than that term , not thinking anymore into it)

and that alone Can stop progession of A Community that is Suprisingly happy with a All Melee meta still.

next time your in WvW or Pvp thank the good ranger for a Good job , And give these bad ranger some tips Rather than Degrading the class to the Term of Free Kill.

the goal im after is to stop this derogatory term It does not give the class any respect for the Skills and Ability for what it can do, its too kitten egative, and puts people off trying to learn to play this class in other ways.

Hi!
I am a Ranger and i have always been a Ranger,i had to defend the class on the forum,i had to defend the class in map chat,i had to fight to be considered an equal player with someone who was using an elementalist or warrior or any other class.

I was considered weak and lame only because i was a Ranger.i was forced to use a certain trait (spotter) and a certain skill (frost spirit) only to not be kicked from the parties.

If i was running around with a bear it was common to get the “bearbow” whispered or in say chat.

I chose the Ranger class because i wanted to use a bow but it was always recommended to play with other weapons.

We,Rangers,were mocked,considered weak,lame,not good enough, 1 single mistake was enough to be kicked…we were forced into using certain things by other players.

We had to endure all that for years and now when we are a decent class,when we can do dmg,when we start to be a book not judged by its cover you call us OP?

I know,you might be frustrated,you have to think before fighting a ranger now,not only spam your skills.

I will not say learn to play,i will say learn to adapt.

It is amazing how many of you take things so literally.

It is called sarcasm, look it up.

It is not so much 100 b needs buffing (it wouldn’t hurt), but Rapid fire was way over buffed. Given the amount of QQ on the threads, it will get nerfed. The question is when. I am just amazed that it passed QA, or if there is actually a QA in Anet. Judging from the quality of release of late, it certainly doesn’t seem like it.

How is Rapid Fire buffed? I don’t get it. The skills is 7 sec cool down and 2.5 casting time, before it was 7 sec cool down and 5 sec casting time with the same damage.
So please explain how is this buffed up? I’m don’t even play a ranger but numbers does not add up, casting time does not make the skill hit harder, actually you need to wait longer to channel the skill again.

Adrenaline is dead. Time to re-roll other class. They will understand how big mistake they did when they see no warriors around at all.

It is Power Ranger time!!, I still play my warrior (condition S/S-LB) looks like it works better than power damage for PvP.
Now Rangers are getting a little taste of what warrior feels reading the balance forum.
