Stronghold is a ele healing game. In same level, 2 ele heal the bomber,1 ppls break the treb. 100% win the match. They should change the player cannot heal the NPC. Because None can sure you have a ele in your team in solo queue.
THIS is precisely why I stopped playing it. Stronghold with no ele = LOSS. Period. End of discussion. Stronghold needs massive changes. I just stick with conquest.

If your see a team just call 2 archer when begin. 2 ele go to heal the door guard. 1 ppls use the treb. Mean they are veteran. Because IN OUT door+Ele make your team can’t kill anyone even door guard. When your first bomber go over than you will game over.

In same level , good defence is a joke, 2 qualified ele can heal up bomber under the treb attack or they can choose heal up their door guard to kill your bomber(one hit one down). Even if you defend the first attack.They still have many chance just call one (just one) bomber to break door. Ele also have a superiority on hero call point fight. Anyway, who have ele who take the initiative.

They make Riad is ok. But don’t take that AOE cc , Condi spam , AOE clean, AOE super heal , Auto cc in PVP. Why they can’t make them to the add buffs when ppls go in the Raid? Never think? Lazy? If they don’t pay attention the problem. We will see this same confusion in next version.
Healing still is a big problem in PVP.

1. Use dislike class is not funny… but it is necessary for achievement.
2. I need to lose the game intentionally because the long queue time at top level …. this is ridiculous.
This pvp team is fail for gw2. They don’t know how to make a popular game. Just know how to give player torment and boring.

Play Overwatch, because Stronghold queue time about 15-30 min per a match ….
this game have heavy healing staff that mean this is a team fight game. teamwork > skill .
but teamwork is a toxic for player base.

Kinda not true in the case of Reaper. If you run Curses you more or less need Wanderer’s for the condi duration and precision for Barbed Precision proccs. And the majority of your condis will still come from corrupts and transfers since no team that isn’t utterly horrible will let you sit and freely spam scepter 1 long enough for it to stack up any significant damage.
If you run Spite you’re using Carrion and you’re relying on Might to boost both your power and condi damage your to 2650 Power/1950 Condi at which point its basically a hybrid build.
you would be surprised how many people i killed by spamming scepter AA and occasional heal

I have play 6 rounds. just 3 are count. Waste my time.
On the other hand, team fight is not good in a e-sport and it like a toxin. You can contrast LOL, DOTA and HOTS. Team fight will cut the newbie/solo to join your game, make the player pool do not growing up. The match also not good to watch. People want to see a star to do they cannot do. Like Sizer, Magic Toker, ROM. If everyone can do the same skill or solo skill is not influences the match or stack in a chaos fight than the match will go boring. Don’t forget Star and good match is disseminate your game with no cost.
I know the balance is hard in a MMORPG. But can you make a Raid with out Tank Heal DPS? Tank Heal DPS is not necessary for Riad, more movement and coordinate is a better choice in Raid. Tank Heal DPS make hard to balance other paths of the game. Healing , High Condition Damage ,Block , CC , AOE out of contorl is not health in PVP and WVW. This will make the game boring to watch , playing and need more team fight. A team have ele and without is so difference in same level because of healing and cleaning. This will kicked out the newbie and solo ppls they want join/try the PVP. GW2 is the last hope of MMORPG. Pls don’t make it die.

No. You need to become a ele.I was speaking about PvE in general, not raid. If you run things like the new HoT maps solo, don’t you think you kinda need your healing skill? And even if you don’t yourself, there are enough players who actually do.
And you think PvP is 98% ppls content? I remember Anet stating that their players “love PvE”. It sounded to me like most players play PvE instead of PvP or WvW. And I would assume that Anet knows the exact numbers kinda better than everyone of us.
Anet had a vision for this game: everyone should be able to play every role he wants to with the profession he wants to. This includes being a tank, being a healer, being a damage dealer (direct or condi damage). I think this is a good thing, which will get improved with upcoming elite specs.
HOT map is easy. Careful to dodge. Healing is not necessary and PVE just need more more ppls. No skill just need number. Tank Heal DPS is design for Raid only.

All of the above games are so different but they’re all the same.
What do these share in common?
- They all have perfect competitive balance.
- They all have solid physics that don’t change.
Due to these solid and well balanced game physics, people love these games because match outcomes are truly decided by the superior player or team. This makes a game fun to play and fun to watch. Due to the game physics being solid and never changing, this means that a player could walk away for 10 years, then come back and pick right up where they left off, without needing to relearn a new game. Both of these factors contribute to building a strong fanbase and keeping the fanbase because the game is “always present and never changes”. Whenever a game changes it’s rules or dynamic, it becomes a different game entirely which also means that it loses old fanbase and has to build new fanbase. Sometimes the older players don’t like the new game and don’t come back. It is because of a game “being solid and not changing” that allows it to accru a large fanbase.
The above is the problem with Guild Wars 2 spvp. It completely lacks every aspect mentioned that is required to build a strong game that accrues a large fan base and it is mostly because Guild Wars 2 spvp has yet to settle a solid foundation of reliable game dynamic that players can leave for a year and come back to, that is unchanged. Players will get used to some build, finally learn how to combat and rotate with it, hell they may even grow to really love playing that one spec. Then they leave for 6 months, come back and the spvp scene is completely different and they have to relearn the game as if they just walked in to the mists for the first time, again. This is no good for keeping player base interested. If arena-net seriously wants to promote their esport, they have got to sit down and grind out a well developed foundation for a stable game balance and leave it alone for awhile so that it can settle and become a game that player’s can return to.

These healing skills are essentially for pve content, we need the ability to get back our health reliably there. No chance they are going to change this.And I like it the way it is. Like you said, there are many games out there that don’t let you heal back like gw2. Play these then, the ability to heal back on your own will stay in gw2.

restorative illusions (master trait) either remove the healing or the condi cleanse. if you want to keep them both then half the healing and reduce the cleanse per shatter.
this trait is the main offender: with the amount of shatters chronos can cast due to signet and chrono traits you get way too much healing and cleanse out of this trait.disable continuum split for elites.
give moa a condi cleanse and a duration reduction to 6s. lower moa cooldown to 120.

I rarely comment these days in the forum, but this…. wow. How can I say this without sounding mean. Either your are not very skilled, or just mad.? Why not removing the class completley from the game? Moa is the only thing mesmers need a nerf. Everything else is fine. Instead of nerfing buff the core specc so that power will be available. No one will play Condi/Hybrid then.
Without Inspiration like it is, mesmer is food for every hybrid/condi class, lime before HoT. So whats the weakness of mesmer?
Mesmer is countered by DH very hard, even a good power warrior is dangerous now for a mesmer. (A good condi warrior will kill a mesmer anyway)

I agree that mesmer is strong, but not op. There are other aspects in the game that should be nerfed/changed. Maybe make Continum Shift not for elites. That would be ok, too.Much mesmer hate here. Condition is a wrong way of gw2. It make everyone need to focus on clean skill. That will make the skill and build fix in a dead pool. Anyway, The weakness and protection is out of control now. That is why ppls don’t choose power damage.
