GW2 pvp is confusion since HoT. Condi, boon, sustain, AoE all thing are out of control. No accurate judgment more just spam your AoE in the circle is not funny and brainless. PVPer leave GW2 surly and PVEer farm that suck WING then back to PVE. Anet dev of PVP team are bad of research. They don’t know what is PVPer need.

I know I can still try to avoid the F1 spear throw in the first place. But if you ever get hit by the first part of F1 skill, you seem to be completely at DH’s mercy.

The second pull part is unblockable and unevadeable. During the whole time being attached to the spear, the only option is using an invulnerable skill. The DH can then use LB2 or some other hard hitting skill to bait out your dodge and then interrupt it by the pull and then chain together some other powerful attacks.

There are quite a few other pull skills in the game and they are all evadeable. I don’t understand why this skill has to be this extra strong.

-1) every profession has way to play around the pull
-teleport out from the traps
-stability
-invulnerability

-2) everybody can save a dodge and use it the second they get pulled in

-3) everybody can LoS the DH trying to use the pull, he won’t be able to pull you over from a lower level or from behind an obstacle

Not everything must be A to B gameplay…..

Actually… all OP class have same things -_- REV,ENG,DURID,DH….

short CD mobile is the main problem of them. Let them easy to leave the danger and CD other sustain skill -_- again again and again…

ELE and NEC doesn’t have this system. So they become the first target and easy get kill.

MMORPG already began to decline. A moba with a big map and pve. It would have been to GW2’s advantage. It is a selling point for moba player. And PVP is a way that no need many resources but can make the game popular. Unfortunately, they’re not grasp it and let’s it decline. It is a great pity.

1.Delete the Conquest and promote other game mode. Conquest is a totally fail design and out-date mode. It’s hard to balance , boring to watch , confusion , class stacking , bunker , AOE problem all come from this suck mode. They make more and more new map for this mode but no one want to play it. This is a waste of resource and time.

2.The frequency and time of the balance are…. SUCK!!! they know the problems before the season begin but don’t improve them and let them break the season. This is ridiculous. Let’s players play a suck game for two months. How to keep the player base!?

They should:
balance —→assessment-—>balance —→ start new season-—>assessment—→balance.

This is a logic problem about design.

*dodges, blocks and inv = stability + hp bar

*other hp bar, healing = just a hp bar

you can see the main problem of ele and nec.

dodges, blocks, mobility and inv should be a CHANCE skill. In HoT, they become a sustain system + many off & def skills.

DH always is a no brain design. You can see this class how op in S1 ESL. But people find 33% protection healing bot(ELE) and sustained ENG to make him go to eat dung in S1 S2 S3. Now that’s two bug(ELE,ENG) were kicking out from PVP. So they come back and stack together now.

When 33% protection healing robot(ELE) out of the game. The problem of HoT design was surfaced.

1. healing , CC , AOE are out of control.
2. off and def skills (REV ENG GUARD) is a stupid design.
3. condition stack —-> more clean, aoe clean, more heal —--> more condition damage/stack/kinds
4. more block, inv, dodge—-> less contact time —->more damage/more unblock/more boon/short CD —->more heal/more turn boon

who make gw2 become a spam game?

They make it happen so they should pay for it. This problem like a rolling snowball.
buff to get balance —> more spam/unbalance-—>feel the game unbalance/no brain —->leave the game/chose other game—-> less player pool—->long queue time—->more player leave the game

Nec like Ele. No/less block No/less Invincible. So they are first focus and easy get +5.
Arr… 2sec/3sec block/inv/heal cycle = how many hp?
ele and nec have’t this cycle.
I don’t want they give Nec Block or Inv. PLs balance the game. Block and Inv should be a chance not a spamming cycle…

So the problem is not how many hp/life force do you have. Give you 50000hp when begin you still die like a PVE npc.

Can necros please start pvp matches with at least 25% life force? We’re not like guardians or warriors where we start off the match with blocks and invulns at the ready. We’re not like thieves and mesmers that can evade and port away at any second from the beginning of match. We’re not like druids who, even though they start with no celestial force, still have access to weapon skill evades, water fields and blast, pets, leaps, immunity to direct damage and stability.

Life force is pretty much our biggest form of sustain (as well as stability….we have Chilled to the Bone, but that’s on hit, and it’s so easy to blind or interrupt…plus, it’s a bad idea to pop it so early just for the stab), and we start with zero life force while all the other classes have all of their sustain skills ready to be used from start?

Even after spamming marks and life force gain skills, we still end up with too little life force (like not even half), and it takes a while to even get our life force up to that point. Basically, as necros, we end up being liabilities and our teammates end up having to cover us until we get life force up, because everyone knows that as soon as a match starts, it’s “focus the necro.”

I’m not asking for a full bar of life force from start. But even just 25% at start would be amazing and give us a better chance to survive at start of match, when 3-4 people decide to all port/leap at you and bomb the ever-loving crap out of you because as a necro, you have no blocks, no invulns, no weapon-skill evades, no nothing, and you literally have to pop everything you have and all your dodges just to stay alive long enough to get your life force up. Usually by the time you have your life force up enough to barely pop into shroud form, your health bar is at like 15%, and you know as soon as your little bit of life force gets obliterated, you’re going to die.

So please, let us necros start matches with at least 25% life force. Please.

Staff auto attack gives 3% life force per hit. Your marks give between 10-15% life force per target hit. One Mark of Blood dropped in the initial team fight should give you just under half your life force (10% x 4 players), and with staff AA hitting every 3/4 second it should take you less than 20 seconds doing nothing other than AA and dropping marks to be at full force. And then of course every attack and ability while in Shroud generates life force, so as long as you don’t jump into a 1v3+ you should be able to generate it faster than you’re losing it.

Reaper Shroud is such a strong ability I don’t think it’s fair to be able to charge right into the melee swinging your scythe around right off the bat, and it’s not an ability designed to have >50% uptime (even though a skillfully played necro can manage >80% uptime even in a losing match with bad teammates and a skillfully played necro with good teammates is approaching 95% uptime).

If you have 3+ people porting/leaping at you right off the bat, that’s a L2P issue on your part. Don’t go charging headlong into a teamfight’s melee range, you’re a ranged class with either invisible or hard to see projectiles and every map has a ton of terrain you can work around. Between your multiple fears, cripples, and chills and Signet of the Locust, very few classes (IE, thief/guard/druid) should be able to reliably close with you unless you let them.

If focus on you. CC spamming will make you can’t spell anything (I don’t know why nec still need to SPELL EVERYthing in this crazy SPAMM HoT). Use Spectral Armor and pray your teammate to SAVE you or die. Reaper not reap adversary. He reap teammate at any time…lol

The problem isn’t the guard that much, it’s that the balance in general across the board is just terrible and the conquest game-type doesn’t promote interesting gameplay.

When traps that insta-kill players without stability cover the entire objective of your game-mode you know you’ve failed. The original Guild Wars 1 team would never have let something like that happen.

+1 conquest game-type just a joke since gw2 begin.

Leader of design team who collect the skill design and decide put them in or not. If he feel the skill is just “FUNNY” and put it in the game. Not more just one. Then the balance was breaking. This is need circumspect attitude to make a decision. He should have more game experience to assort his job. Unfortunately, you can see many skills are BLOCK, AOE, OFF and DEF , sustained AREA , boon , cc at the same time.Even if a player is able to see the problem but they/he not. This is ridiculous

So i have say, the problem is not about balance. They are all come from design. They are all come from designer. The new skills are design so suck that i have never seen in other game. You can see many logic problems from them. They make the game and not play/test the game. This is the reason I can think of.

The other problem is GW2 PVP point fight is Old-fashioned. I know the point have trap but i still need to go in. This is ridiculous. I hope they can make more other mode for PVP or promote other PVP mode like Strong Hold.

PS. They make StrongHold then don’t promote and improve it (just make bomber cannot heal by player is fix the problem but they still not do it…). I was very disappointed with them.

Hey folks,

It’s been a while since we’ve commented on leagues, so here’s a brief update.

There’s definitely room for improvement in the league system, and it’s safe to say that it’s the team’s highest priority now that we’ve signed off on everything going in for the July release. It’s still a bit early to talk about specifics, but I do think we can talk about some of the goals we have for the changes:

  • Improve match quality
  • Make divisions more reflective of player skill
  • Make leagues feel more rewarding after you’ve placed in your appropriate division

We’re still determining the scope of the project, but I do want to be clear that it’s unlikely that these changes will be in for S4. Once we get a bit further in the dev process I’ll see if I can give an update on our thoughts/direction.
