Lets be honest here a sec e-sport is for fps where your all pretty much on eqaul ground. Hundred blades while some what a pain is not trully OP putting on a class with that much base hp is another story.

This is a very good list.

Portal is a nice ability, but perhaps more than just mesmer should have it. Maybe put it on ranger/necro/engi, spread it around while also limiting what it can do. It might be too strong with culling in wvw, so perhaps removal/redesign is more appropriate.

Boon rips need to be more prevalent, that’s the real problem with bunkers, the fact that they can cover themselves with regen/prot/aegis and just infinite sustain past a certain level of toughness

Quickness is just too big an effect for too long a cooldown. I’d say reduce the cooldown by half, and the effect by half, and see how it feels from there on. No one can complain really since it isn’t technically a nerf.

Look, if it was the warrior misses his 100b and is completely useless this whole 100b issue for the spvp(casual players) would be a non-issue. As it stands you can miss 100b and still easily down someone because the cooldown is so low and you can survive long enough as a good warrior to use it multiple times in one life. Where as other classes might be able to kill you in less than 10 seconds if you are a completly bad warrior, and you can kill them in under 2 seconds. I don’t see any place for a skill like that except for killing bunkers. Thieves in spvp usually suck and sometimes really good people use thieves/warriors to glory boost. It’s a press 2 buttons free kill in spvp and it makes casual players quit. I want casual players so we can have paid tournies pop which take forever now. Too many people are quitting because you want the game balanced on the top 10% which alienates the other 90% which isn’t right. You are the minority and like I said, most of the time a warrior can be the best warrior and I will beat them. Well of darkness, and 3 necromancer teleports + 2 fears can beat almost any warrior and I am at 88% games played as necromancer out of 700 ish games. I am not bad and have a 80% win ratio in free tpvp, saving up tickets for awhile.

Next time think out the whole scenario, and don’t limit it to simple things. Get better at macro logic.

In SWTOR, you were the guys asking to nerf operatives. In WoW you were the guys asking to nerf mages. In TSW, you were the guys asking to nerf assault rifles.

You put a lot of hours of gametime in and think that should make you automatically win with whatever squishy spec you play (100blades one-shots you as a necro? are you serious), but you lack twitch ability and assume the game is at fault.

So I watched the “State of the Game Discussion” interview with Jonathan Sharp. I never expected anything less considering that both he and Izzy plays Warriors… I digress… the current balance is not good.

Hundred blades being able to kill someone in an instant no matter how situational it is, is stupid. Say you are in a big party fight and you used up all your dodges and you’re in a corner… it’s okay to get one shot? … say you’re helping to rez someone and they sneak up behind you with quickness… it’s okay to get one shot? … say you’re channelling your finishing move and someone just comes up behind you and pops quickness and hundred blades… it’s okay again to get one shot? … Say you just used up your stun breaks and he just bulls charge, rushes in with quickness… it’s okay to get one shot?

I don’t care if they spread out the damage throughout the class, or give them more utilities to combat conditions and make them a more viable class in competitive gameplay… I don’t care if they get BUFFED as a pvp class. Yes I’m advocating BUFFING Warriors and Thieves. BUT the ability to just “global” someone is stupid.

This whole… argument of “noobs learning to play” is asinine. If this move was so easy to dodge and only kills noobs… why is it even in the game then? It doesn’t hit good players and it one shots bad players…

So what do you get… a lot of “noobs” being demolished and turned off from PvP and all you “pros” running a pointless spec when playing with “good” players who can always avoid this “easy” move.

I was rezzing someone just now and in a second… BOOM, I’m dead… before I could even break the channel from rezzing… I was dead. In an instant. Then the guy has the gall to whisper me saying I was bad and I should learn to avoid it.

Right. One shot.

Current balance is pretty good, and if anything warriors are one of the more balanced classes. The “problem” specs are bunker eles, guardians.

Your problem is that you are bad.

Or, PEBKAC as they say.

Dodge 100 blades.
Use condition removal on immobilise or just dodge the bolas.
Use stun breaker on bull rush.

These are basic things that all good players do.

100b warriors are glass cannons that are very easy to kill, the easiest class to kill in the game btw. Much easier to kill than thieves who know how to play, mesmers or D/D eles (even glass cannon ones).

If they didn’t have the burst, the greatsword (one of the warrior’s few viable weapons) would be worthless.

Warriors don’t have a lot going for them right now. They lack regen, protection etc to bunker properly, and lack stealth/illusions/cantrips to get out of trouble as glass cannons.

Personally I like to toy with 100b warriors. They flail around so much when you take big bites out of their zero-toughness-berserker-everything HP pool and then just run rings around them letting them heal up. You see them pop endure pain, switch to shield and block 3 seconds of thin air. They you hit them some more, dodge around and watch them run after you having already wasted their frenzy and bull rush. I feel bad for them sometimes.

Simply put.

The more angry people are at the game, the more they care.

No one makes page-long threads about something they don’t care about.

Other MMOs, people just leave.

The main problem is that nearly all of the servers are full.

You could try what my friend did to get on to my full server:

Check the server list at 6am or so – even full servers drop to “very high” at that hour, and your mother can jump in.

yes, 5 signet warriors do less DPS than non-5 signet warriors

So the one thing they want to do, the one main thing they care about… they do it worse than other warriors.

I was one of those who attended the event but didn’t get the chest at the end, and I complained a fair bit, especially when I heard people got precursors out of that chest and that nice ring.

Honestly, after the event, I was disappointed and I figured you guys would not compensate us.

As the days passed, this seemed confirmed. No chest in the mail.

And I let it go. Forget about it. It was just a chest, even though it would have been nice to get a shot at the precursor lottery. I wasn’t going to stay mad about something you guys weren’t going to bother to fix.

I found I now have received the chest in the mail, as have others on my server who had missed it. Amazing – you guys actually came through for us.

There’s probably more people playing GW2 right now than any other MMO, WoW included. Ever check the activity stats for WoW? It’s really really low, with a ton of dead servers.

Could just be because other games are out so people are playing those. Like AC3 and Far Cry 3, which I’m getting now.

Just always be careful to check the stats on the karma vendors in Orr.

Some of the pieces have really random stats like condition damage / healing power / precision

I have played WoW more than you have.

WoW is plagued with bots even today, and has been for years. Blizzard does nothing about them, if anything they are one of the worst companies at dealing with bots. They can’t even prevent rampant exploiting on top of their laughable arena ladders. Even right now, the battlegrounds are full of bots, making your team lose. Many other MMOs like Rift were better at dealing with bots.

But ArenaNet have been the best at it, they have literally massacred bots week on week. Mad props to them for that.

I do think the “whiners” about ascended gear do love the game, and want it to succeed. Otherwise, why would they bother complaining?

That is why they are so vociferously championing their cause and complaining about it, they want to help GW2 prosper, and they want to contribute their heartfelt opinion. Negative feedback has its place just as positive feedback does. It should not be disregarded.

Personally, I love GW2. But I understand some don’t – and some do but just disagree with specific things ArenaNet is doing.

To all I would say this:

If you want to play GW2, play GW2. If you don’t want to play GW2, don’t play GW2.

All that is fine. The game is doing very well and will continue to grow and do well.

I am 100% confident that after playing other games you will return to GW2.

I have no issue fighting D/D eles. I play glass cannon, but stay in water atunement the whole time. I absorb his burst and nuke him down before he thinks the fight has started. That is right, I never leave water atunement (except when traveling, but that is non-conbat.)

I call BS on that.

Tried linking my build in the talent calc but it didn’t work. I go 25 fire, 30 air, and 15 water. In fire i get burning on crit and damage against burning, in air i get glyph boosts and soothing winds. In water +20% against vulnerable foes. Scepter/focus.

Try it, that is my build. I use Berserker gear, with Ogre runes on my armor, flat damage on weapons. Glyph healing ability and elite, arcane spells for the 3 utility.

The problem with X-Fire data is that it has been slowly getting more and more irrelevant.

It used to be relevant years ago when it was used by a lot of people. It’s been in decline for years, and is no longer representative of trends.

Now it’s more of a legacy system, like people who still use Yahoo! or MySpace.

There are multiple full servers.

Even the smallest servers are on high.

There used to be medium servers, not a single one left.

Simply put, the game is already VERY successful and has a large playerbase.

You gotta realise, there are other people apart from you. And they are all playing GW2.

This is why 100 blades is fine.

This elementalist burns his utilities and blows his full load to do even more damage than 100 blades does in that short amount of time.

So does elementalist burst need to be toned down?

Problem with MMO players, and I have been one forever, is we cant get away from the MMO model we have had to deal with in the past, where we paid a sub, therefore, we were entitled to be perpetually entertained.

Treat GW2 like you would any other video game purchase, and its all the sudden not that big of a deal.

Some people think a MMO is something you subscribe to and play 8 hours a day running a rat race for gear pixels to massage an ego bruised by real life failures.

GW2 is not for those kind of people. It’s a video game like lots of other video games, designed for fun, socialising and immersion.

It doesn’t need to have tricks and feed loner nerd-addictions. It is just a great game that people can play, leave and always come back to.

Read the wiki dude, but really you will know a lot more after levelling any class to 10 and getting an idea of things in practice.

Something which doesn’t get mentioned often enough.

Anet has done something which no other MMO appears to do properly: takes exploiters and botters seriously and ban them. The big trains are completely gone. This is a major achievement.

Even in WoW there are constantly bots in BGs making your team lose, bots farming gold, exploiters everywhere, even at the top of the arena ladders. Blizzard has failed to ban them and continues to allow bots to impact on other players.

So here’s from me:

A kudos to ArenaNet for doing something that is very important for legitimate players, thanks for banning all those bots that plague the MMO and general online gaming world.

Well here’s the thing

Power + precision + crit damage go hand in hand. To max your burst damage you need a combination of all 3.

Power is still the go-to stat for all your direct damage.

Crit damage gets better the more precision you have. Lots of people use the rough guide of keeping crit chance % and crit damage % roughly equal, though the maths behind that is questionable.

I’ve been in PUGs starting from overflow and my own server, and nothing remotely like that ever happens in map chat. People just make groups and go, even for the lower levels.

Gear does not even matter for level 1-5 fractals, you could clear them in green masterwork gear easily.

I do think you’re making this all up in a desperate bid for attention, OP.

If you’re trying to PUG level 10+, fine, gear does become an issue. But let’s face it, you’ve already done the content a bunch of times before that point.

While I’ve not been asked for gear – then the one time I did get a FotM level 1 group – I was asked for character level.
It’s a short step from level to gear – so the accusation that the OP is lying is ….. well, perhaps your bid for attention?
