i second drongas.

depending on the future of gsword damage(which was changed for some reason in patch)

20/20/0/25/5 is super strong for wvw pve and spvp

wvw especially . if you want to fight on or off a wall you need focus/gsword because they are the only weapons that create phantasms at the target not at you from 1200.

so the first 20. increased illusion damage+greatsword cooldown reduction.
second 20 phantasms get fury+dodge clone

25 i usually get phantasms get 25 percent more health (because it = more damage because of the retaliation minor trait) .. and focus reflect+cooldown reduction. (this turns your speed buff into a reflect wall in addition to its vortex knockdown.) if you are zerg vs zerg you can shut down a teams whole range attack by staggering reflecting warden / temporal curtain / feedback.

i can go on more about how good this spec is and all the little tricks you can do.. but just putting my vote in for 20 20 0 25 5

there are 2 choices.. its a bug.. or it is an intended change.

soon as they tell me one way or the other i will be quiet and adapt.

if we got nerfed.. w/e i will find another way to play the class that is my only main.

if it is a bugg w/e i will wait knowing that the issue is being looked into and will be resolved.

i feel what we got so far was a " shut up kid, your bothering me" response that it seems didnt merit a real answer.

pre patch 3800-4400 izerker on la training dummy.
post patch 2800-3000

this is either a bugg or a stealth nerf.

if it is a stealth nerf it is a little insulting to not say so once it is noticed by every player using the weapon,.

locking a thread saying the “game play” has changed without actually saying that it was an intended change is odd to me. with that mindset all bugs are actually game changes because the game has changed.

heh if i would have expected a nerf i would have logged video of my dps tests in LA. i did them for every spec i made. using the same gear pre patch zerker did 3900-4400 in that range. after patch 2700-3000. all i did was put 3 zerkers on a training dummy and watch the numbers. no buffs, same gear, they dont seem to miss. i dont think you can crit those (im not sure, i heard it said) but whatever the case it was a flat damage decrease from pre to post patch.

when i said this.. i wasnt saying that this was a problem that i had with magummma. i was just saying that we are very good at making the other 2 servers team up and work against us.

just like in the forum. it is not a 3 way conversation. it is other people vs mag.

on magg even during prime time in our biggest zergs you are lucky if you see 3 people from the same guild. random 5 man guilds log in to wvw and look for commander symbols or orange x and that is how we wvw. the fact that we win any fight vs any organized servers with pvp guilds is almost embarrasing for them.

magummas biggest downfall is our guys cant get off the forums talking crap so we usually have the other 2 servers team up vs us to prove our trolls wrong. gg

not sure why they are so active the day or 2 after the patch then just go on vacation and refuse to reply to anything. say if the change was intended. say what your plan is for the future of the ability. soon as a tear hit the floor about the torch bug there was a response.

my issue with it is :

if it was intentional say it.

if it was not .. say it.

the thing i do not want to see happening is this turn into wow where they nerf every class every time someone dies in pvp. i cant see this being a nerf because of how much survivability we need to give up just to choose the gsword over the staff .. and the staff phantasm can hit way harder then the gsword with this nerf.

adjusting to the polar opposite play style? a staff confusion bunker build has almost nothing to do with a greatsword spec. you may as well be saying izerker is broken go play a necro.

Before patch i would put 3 zerkers on the lions arch training dummies and they would each do 4400 damage, after patch they do 3000. they are doing the same amount of hits just less damage. These tests are putting 3 zerkers out and letting them sit for 10 mins at a time . they do not miss the dummies. to the person saying they do the same damage… silly.

This is the build i run.

Here are things i noticed.

If you are only able to fight at ranged(from a wall/too heavy to stay in meele) its best to change your skills up to combo/kill someone.

from a wall i use the stun signet/ mantra of pain/ feedback.

combo: start with sword focus.. use warden and put feedback(confusion whirl finisher)/stun them so they cant run from warden

….. put down temporal curtain… when they start to run away from warden use vortex to pull them back towards warden and knock them down

.. switch quick to sword and izerker and #2 and shatter once they complete thier damage.

use mantra of pain as filler durring any free second in the combo.

For ground/smaller fights i use normal skills blink/clone.

start with g sword. use izerker, #2

switch to sword focus. put down curtain( if you can do your leap standing on the curtain its good to proc retaliation) if not pull them first towards you and use your leap as they are downed.. mind wrack and switch back to gsword.

Those are the basic combos i use for this build. if anyone has anythign special or fancy i could be using also.. please let me know.

Is there any information on this? Do different phantasms have = health. The only actual information i could find on health of illusions was that phantasms have 2/3 the health of clones(which would lead me to think that phantasms all have the same hp), but i can not find the hp of clones on any wiki or forum post. If someone has done a very low dps kill of a clone it could be figured out.. i cant find any examples of this though.

I am trying to find info on how much hp clones/phantasms have. I am not having much luck. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Any info on how the signet+20% phantasm hp trait stack would be appreciated also.
